Again i THINK it is gonna get rejected...with the line of 'we have other ETF's in the pipeline we will consider in a timely manner with new fixes/tweaks as a further waypoint to approval ....(nothing to see here folks...move on)  thus My view is it will dump to 800 to 900 then recover to ATH withing 2 months...just too much momentum imho ...all the FUD that will result from the Gov't saying the ETF is dead...will make for amusing antics for that length of time..many press reports for/against/confused/etc....lots of crypto news to your web based or traditional news outlets..they will rake the $$$ in for a month till it settles imho....(stock up on popcorn and wait for the parade) on the other hand if the ETF does go thru..it could rise by 25% or more in 1 month and stay there...(again good popcorn supply is essential) with press news on how it is a new dawn for mankind etc etc instead of FUD it would be PUCK (price upward crypto kickass) You have exaggerated the importance of this decision too much! This ETF is not important for bitcoin at all. Irrational exuberance and too much focus on that ETF because there are no other news lately. Price will neither go below $1000 if rejected nor will it go 25% up at once if approved. Just my view. I hope your view is correct. But can't say how you see something ...after the fact...thus my view before the decision comes down to have it down in print... |

It seems that if we don't hear anything today then we must still wait until close of business Monday before we start to second guess anything. I'm expecting to have to wait until the very last moment on Monday to find out either way. That way, any earlier news will be a pleasant surprise but the wait won't drive me mad. I can wait patiently until Monday night A LOT of stuff is announced on Friday with the United States government.....I myself on by end of working day on Friday....the bureaucrats involved..why drag it into next week its not like they are gonna jump up and make a decision on the Monday after......its gonna pop on Friday. (then again I know zip) But you can always use the below slogan.......seems a mantra on how stuff gets done with BTC from block size to ETF announcement...drag it out as long as possible thus ..heck maybe you are correct (grrrrr) ...Monday would suck... I don't think he'll be given patent rights, because his identity as Satoshi is not yet confirmed.
a patent has nothing to do with him as satoshi it has nothing to do with whether he is or not it would help a lot however...and with maybe 15% to 20% of all BTC in existence ..he could make BTC do a merry little dance.....etc etc it would NOT end well imho then again...what do I know at one time I drank the BFL Kool Aid |

He currently is acting like he is..patenting everything BTC related he can. He claims he is in line on Jan 1st 2020 to get a giant trust fund (of other founders now dead or how he set it up to evade taxes) and that will then prove he is Satoshi..this paving the way as 'proof' for the above btc patents he is getting. He really, really hates btc types like us now for NOT believing he is Satoshi (even if he really did not want to be found out by us and the Australian Tax Authorities) thus imho if above is true he will dump massively ...screwing open source BTC and making it pear shaped..and then have control and $$$ via the patented stuff he now can prove he is the inventor of btc now I only give him a 1 out of 20 shot of being Satoshi (or part of the team) but 'evil genius' wise it has a lot of "DR. EVIL' going for it ....on the above imho 'flimsy' projections / views above it makes a damn fine 'boogeyman' story however for BTC bedtimes....shudder ..the horror |

Still think there is no way the ETF will pass. As a Bureaucracy...ie keep our gov't jobs with as little risk as possible..why add to the work?...the safe bet is to punt it down the road and say you are looking other alternative ETF's down the road..and everything has to 'simmer' longer on a decision...just what I think then again 800 usd BTC again would be 'rather nice' on the other hand 1500 plus BTC would also be nice I see no way to lose on this ..whatever they decide |

Both camps will get nowhere imho. Thus 1mb will stand...bitcoin core prefers that anyway...and eventually BTC will likely FORK ..just because if they have
not agreed to a compromise by this time..they likely won't.....wait for bitcoin core to push an alternative way to do this as a softfork and the BU miners
will fork...
As long as I'm talking doom here....the 'supposed satoshi' 'craig wright' continues to claim on Jan 1st 2020 he will get a big trust of BTC set aside for
the founders/him/etc...that would be annoying..the 'tweb' imho will flush most of it and currently is making patents on the supposed proof he is such

I really have to say .if it IS counterfeit document....they really, really have 'skills' ..well played....well played indeed...and if it is true and leaked...well played indeed again likely it is 'fake' or we'd have heard this from more then one source here on bitcointalk....IF I found this laying around..every btc portal would get it in their email box, etc. Edit: ACK! getting my ETF's mixed up..this is the BATS one...they get the process 'accelerated' from what I can tell..(I hate lawyereze) |

Latest appears to be that ETF deadline may come and go and it will be approved by default (apparently such is often the way of things in these matters). Is that a reasonable TL;DR or are we expecting a specific statement at some point?

Someone I guess betting the etf won't go thru. On a side note if btc tanked some due to That I'd bet pboc would jump on btc with fud too. I also could move down south where it is warm and the 3-4c kwh electric roams free (kinda) Toys, I need more toys...but at 13c kwh summer rate in Minnesota.....this boat has sailed (home miner wise) ..the stuff in the data hall is next I guess pretty, pretty toys on this thread however (envy..must stop envy....grrrrrrr) |
