4901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you gambling to make money or just for fun? on: July 16, 2021, 11:35:32 AM
Gambling is supposed to be for fun and entertainment while earning some bucks. But we all know some people have gone too far.
Anyway, I mostly gamble on sports betting, specifically basketball games. And yeah It's for fun and earning while betting to your favourite teams. Game analysis is also the fun part, because you don't want to lose your bet without analysing the match up and make your own research to make an edge against your fellow bettors.
I rarely bet on pure luck based gambling games as I don't find it enjoyable.
I like football betting because I can also make some analyses about it, I do not have to make much analyse though because it is the league or cup that I follow that I place bet on. I also now do it for fun, I am expecting either loss or gain, that is why I still use low amount of money or coin to place the bet. I do not even go for multiple matches, 3 to 5 is my maximum, I bet just a single match most often. What I am saying is that though I am expecting return, but I am not addicted and that I am not doing it for profit but just for fun which gives me excitement when I win.
4902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Are you gambling to make money or just for fun? on: July 16, 2021, 06:24:36 AM
I was a gambling addict before until I later have to change, I have noticed I lost a lot when I was addicted unlike now that I played for fun. In the past, if I played one or two games, I usually win but I always did continue to bet until all my gain and money will be lost. When I was affected, I changed and only now gamble just during weekends unlike before that I gambled daily, I even sleep late because of gambling before. I noticed when I play just one or two games during the weekend, I win than I lose. Before, I saw gambling as a way to make money that it is a profession, but now seen gambling as fun and play just few quality bets.

How about you? Why are you gambling?
4903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 16, 2021, 05:50:35 AM
It is not greed or addiction, it is the urge to do something with the money in your spare time unless you have another plan for a day.
meek is very right, gambling should be for fun, it is not necessary to bet often. He realized he played big games like champions league for fun and enjoyed betting it, he also tried to okay small matches which are frequently played but leading to greed for him. Greediness is a sign of the beginning of gambling addiction. Betteer for him to say to what gives him pleasure.

In case of boredom, you will hunt for opportunity in the live betting websites and try to chase the betting event for boosting your profit.
Yes but someone needs to be very careful of live betting as it is risky just like betting generally.

In rare cases, the more we play the more profit we get, the addiction can be worse if you keep donating to casinos every week.
In rear cases? I have not experienced this rear cases before, I gained when I do not bet much. I lose when I continue betting after wining.

4905  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you know if someone left you Bitcoin after death? on: July 15, 2021, 08:26:29 AM
Bitcoin keys and passwords are kept secret hid away from everyone else. If you forget the keys you can no longer access your wallet. We have learnt this and take the precautions to ensure it does not happen. But what happens to the Bitcoin if the owner of the wallet dies. Is there a way to transfer bitcoins to next of kin and how will the potential heir know?
There is nothing bad to let you heir know how it is going, let him know about bitcoin very well, including the keys and how to recover bitcoin using seed phrase and private key. If your heir knows about this, he will be able to know how to get access to the coins after the owner's died. You can even time lock the bitcoin and let your heir knows about it and how to get access to the time locked coin.
4906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are posts being deleted? on: July 15, 2021, 08:20:49 AM
I believe you have seeing the reasons why posts can be deleted. Try to make quality posts, if you want to post on any board, be familiar with the board first. Like the bitcoin boards, before you should start posting, know what they are posting, read more than you post at the start, you will get more of this forum and be well familiar with the type of post needed. This forum is not just about posting, the main reason is to learn and help one another with quality and useful posts.
4907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 15, 2021, 08:14:16 AM
(it must be difficult to be an addict to gambling or a prostitute and have a normal life).
About gambling, I was an addicted before, I first gambled in 2014, I remembered to first win my first bet that I just took it without professionalism. But at the time I was additced until 2019 when I lost money and properties to the extent I wish my life to be taking. It was just hard to kill myself at the time but I wish me dead, I really know how deadly gambling addiction is. I really got no hope again until I stopped gambling, I later got source of income and not even gambling again, even if I want to gamble now, I use 2% of my monthly salary to gamble or not gambling at all.

As to your question, in my high opinion, taxes on gambling do not send the right message at all. The tax collected are mostly from the betting companies. The reason is that the betting companies are the one gaining while the gamblers are losing.

Did you know most gamblers do not know about taxes paid by gamblers? The reason is because most gamblers are losing than winning. Before tax can be deducted from their winning, all there losses will be calculated, if the losses is more than the winning, no tax will be deducted. I believe this is the gambling policy in almost all countries that gambling is allowed.

If the gamblers are not paying taxes (because of losses), how does increasing the gambling tax send the right message? It does not because gamblers are not still yet paying because they lose than win. While the gambling companies are increasing in wealth and able to pay their taxes.
4908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 15, 2021, 07:45:49 AM
...
Some gamblers like to be in control of their budget but gambling can disrupt that for them during addiction, that is why it is not good to be addicted to gambling. Reading the OP, I noticed you are not a gambling addict, this makes you to be in control of your weekly/monthly income, I too is just like that. Although, I was an addict before, but bygone now.

For me, a reasonable gambling budget is 3 to 5% of my income, although I may allow more if I have some extraordinary income that month.
Why? You did not mention in amount but in percentage. If you are collecting $100, you use 5% to gamble monthly, that is $5. But if you see $1000 as a surprise in another month, you still use 5% to gamble, that is $50. So if your weekly/monthly income increased, the money you use to gamble will also still increase. I do not think any increment is necessary or maybe this is what you meant.

How do you plan your gambling or fun budget?
I prefer to use 2% to 5%, it depends on the weekly income. If the income is very high, I use 2% but if the income is low, I use 5% in such a way almost the same amount is used to gamble. I do not increase my gambling amount like that as it is not necessary.
4909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 15, 2021, 07:32:41 AM
I remember some crypto sexy site but that’s not gambling and I can’t imagine how can you enjoy playing while there’s a sext lady in front of you, that’s too distracting and if that sexy lady is your purpose better to go to the bar and save your money in gambling and spend it on your drinks. I don’t know if sext gambling exist in cryptoworld, there’s none yet.
I think this is a better idea, if a punter prefer the sexy (nude lazies) casinos, it will be better going for bar and clubbing instead than what will lead to total distraction. Like I have commented before in the first page that even the normal casino ladies are sexy enough in their way of talking and in their dresses, and yet seen in a professional way than what will only be leading to porn-like gambling.

I don’t know if sext gambling exist in cryptoworld, there’s none yet.
I too never heard of one, but the fact that I have heard of nude restaurant before which customers will be naked and eat, this makes it possible for anything to happen in life, but I noticed the restaurant fold up due to low patronage if my memory serves me right.
4910  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't say a thread was made because of merit on: July 14, 2021, 05:13:06 PM
...
You will need to answer this questions which completely give answer to this

Have you seen any quality post before that ranked member post that the user is looking for merit?

There are account farms, some people are looking for merits and their posts are not having quality, some spam while some just post in a way they can not be given merits.

Such statement can not be posted if the user is having quality post, try to know more about this forum before opening a thread like this.
4911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi logo (my proposal) on: July 14, 2021, 12:03:38 PM
Your proposal is highly not valid, if you indicate satoshi in either ways, it is good. I do not see any good point in creating this thread as I see this as not necessary.
4912  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what happen before that you could have done better? on: July 14, 2021, 08:02:59 AM
but if you ever want to change one decision that could have changed your life what is it?
What was making you to regret? It is because you did not hodl or because you are trading (day trading or those of high risks like margin trading).

I think I have your answer

Hodl.
4913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good plan on: July 14, 2021, 07:57:09 AM
Currently, the price of Bitcoin moving in sideways, it rises a few bucks and dumps again. if you were a trader, you can already make some profit from that gap but as your intention to sell them during the hypes, then I think you need to wait months or years before you can make a profit.
That is just bitcoin, there are times for bull run, times for bear run, times for side ways price movement. There will certainly be a time for bull run after the price has decreased and now moving sideways, that is just certain, even if the price of bitcoin decreases more, it will still increase, we just have to be patient. Not that I am only having believe that the price of bitcoin will increase, having believe seem more like understatement for me because even with me if not believing, the price of bitcoin will still increase, all it will take is time.
4914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent can sport be strengthened with cryptocurrencies on: July 14, 2021, 07:47:09 AM
There can be some elements of cryptocurrencies that are linked to sports. As of now, clearly betting with crypto is perfectly feasible and you can potentially use any platform that uses crypto from anywhere in the world without exchanging your fiat nor anything, so that helps with the betting part.
This is what I like most about betting with cryptocurrencies, it makes me bet beyond the betting sites in my country. There was a time I tried betting sites outside my country, but fiat payments make the thing not simple at all according to government rules having just limited amount to deposit monthly, unlike crypto that I can withdraw what I like anytime I like and still exchange to fiat anytime I like, there are many government rules that make sure fiat does not go beyond their country, this is good, but having alternative like cryptocurrencies makes it better, giving freedom to people. I like the easy crypto payment and the freedom it gives.
4915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 14, 2021, 07:36:47 AM
What do you think of sexy casinos? Do you think it's a good thing? Have you ever tried any? What is your favorite one?
I have seen all casinos that women are involved to be sexy, they wear good sexy but appropriate for the public dresses and speak in a sexy way but yet professional. In fact, I like casinos women are involved in than men because they make the game more sexy. Any casino that will go beyond that should be seen as nude casino because those women involved are sexy enough with their appearances and professional works.
4916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds on Ballon D'or on: July 14, 2021, 07:29:48 AM
Which gambling sites are offering bet on Ballon D'or? Of course, cryptocurrency must be accepted. I have earlier seen one betting site to give 3.25 odd for Messi but they don't accept cryptocurrency. I have tried to check in few sites but sadly, I wasn’t able to find one. Can you please share me few sites which offering placing bets on Ballon D'or winner?
I have not noticed this before, I remembered even betting on who to become a president is a very common bet we can always find on sportbooks during Presidential election, I remembered I did saw Trump vs Biden. Who to win the Ballon D'or suppose to be in sportbooks also. I have not noticed this before but we will just have to keep this thread active in case we see it on any betting site, especially crypto betting site.

I also have a suggestion, so far we can interact with many betting sites on this forum, we can ask them if they can include it. We can also advice them to include it on their sportbook, maybe some of the crypto betting sites on this forum will include it with appropriate odds.
4917  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies need to be mentored well. on: July 13, 2021, 01:28:53 PM
It is as simple as that, do not spam, do not plagiarize, any link you copied from must be included on your post, read more than you write, study more about this forum, do not be in haste because it can lead to copy and paste and plagiarism. If you do not use any link, no need for any link to be included in your post, but if you use any link, include it.
4918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You are not on what you say! on: July 12, 2021, 10:49:41 AM
Only 5 merits required in last 120 days is needed for applying for bitcoin signature campaign but people chosen have more than 20 or 50 merits, their posts are quality. But bounty hunters will have even no merit in the last 120 days and will be selected, even member ranked and Jr members can be selected, why would bounty posters not be shit posters.
4919  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lost bitcoins in a hack from bitcoin.com and bittrex.com on: July 12, 2021, 10:21:11 AM
As far as I know there hasn't been a user-wide hack with both bitcoin.com and bittrex, so I'm going to assume your funds got lost through malware or the typical phishing.

Unfortunately, there's really nothing you can do right now. If you lost a huge sum of money, like huge huge where it's worth hiring lawyers and stuff, then do so. Your hacker might do something stupid like move the funds to a centralized exchange.
Did you use 2fa?
Did you have friends that make use of your device you use to access the exchanges often?
Are you making use of the internet and not care about the safety of your device like having antivirus and also visiting only legit sites?

Unfortunately, there's really nothing you can do right now. If you lost a huge sum of money, like huge huge where it's worth hiring lawyers and stuff, then do so. Your hacker might do something stupid like move the funds to a centralized exchange.
Lost of bitcoin on two exchanges at ones, this will likely be an hack like you first said or maybe someone he knows stole it by accessing his device used for the exchanges.
4920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 11, 2021, 09:54:42 PM
Italy won at last, heart attack penalties. I thought Italy has lost when the second penalty was lost, but it later happened that the penalty shootout ended Italy 3 : 2 England. I think Italy deserves this.
