4901  Economy / Reputation / Requesting proof of trade between Zepher and TMAN[Zepher engaging in fake trades on: February 02, 2017, 05:13:59 AM
Zepher recently left positive trust for TMAN (on 1/27/17) that reads as follows:
"Purchased a 1 BTC Casascius Silver/Gilt from TMAN. Sent funds direct and coin was received next day. I trust him to stick to what he agrees to."

The risked amount reads 1.8BTC. There is no reference, and neither account makes any mention of attempting to engage in this kind of trade looking back a week prior to this rating being left.

Zepher very heavily reuses the address 1VAULTPU7XXsB5h6pb6VdZE7ZxKHCxmVb and there was no above described transaction from this address in a relevant timeframe.

I would like to see the txid of this payment from zepher to TMAN.

Below is a screenshot of TMAN's recently received trust:

Update: based on the response I got from zepher, I now believe that he is engaging in leaving trust for fake trades that did not occur.
4902  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][UNSOLVED] BTC-E.COM REFUSING TO UNLOCK MY ACCOUNT (thousands of dollars) on: February 02, 2017, 12:36:29 AM
@OP - can you please confirm that this is in fact a screenshot that you sent BTC-e to help "prove" that you are in fact the true owner of your account? If this is the case, then I may have something that may very much strengthen the case.

That might be a redirecting address from within BTC-e, but most definitively I know what wallet was used to make the deposit. But here's a more detailed resolution:

My question is, did you send btc-e a screenshot that resembles this picture? https://i.imgur.com/vppQXmB.png

I think they might've cut it for demonstration purposes, but I do have the original if it helps?
Can you either post or PM me the original of what you sent them? It would help if you do Smiley

What features do you want to see? Theymos somewhat recently added the ability to navigate to the next/previous page more easily on mobile devices. I am sure he would be open to implementing other changes/features if you had something in mind -- although if implementing the feature is too complex/difficult, then it might need to wait until the new forum comes out.

You are asking how people feel about a user wanting to get paid more money? I don't think the sig campaign managers are that anti-capitalist
4906  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda/TMAN/minifrij extortion attempt on: February 01, 2017, 04:20:37 PM
-snip-
This is just another example of Quickseller being a hypocrite - do as I say, not as I do.   Undecided

Please stay on topic. Id very much like to know what you think of Laudas actions though.

We all know that extertion is a crime sir. But IMHO we all know that he don't need money and just do that for purpose of gathering evidence, that's why he decided to get some witness before starting that plan. The only mistakes he committed was, he used the wrong way of gathering information, And i think it deserves a punishment because it is obviously a crime no matter how good the purpose is. But a negative trust is too much for his act, just saying sir. He is still a trustful person for me.
Bullshit. There was no intention to "gather evidence". This was not the first time that Lauda has tried to extort someone. All that the "witnesses" did was participate in a conspiracy to extort zeroaxl.
4907  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda's trust rating? on: February 01, 2017, 02:03:24 PM
There might be reasons. For example if a long standing, highly trusted account gets hacked, it's useful to get the warning (orange color) after a single feedback, as that can be quickly left.

Interesting point.

I gave Lauda new positive trust and the ? ? ? went away.

It doesn't give you very much credibility when you are going around giving extortionists positive trust. It doesn't give Cyrus nor HostFat very much credibility either if you remain on their trust lists.
4908  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Looking for wallet program with 1 password to recover whole wallet on: February 01, 2017, 05:57:22 AM
Are you referring to wanting to use a seed to recover your entire wallet? (eg a HD wallet?). If this is the case, I would note that this is not quite the same as using a "password" to recover your wallet.

I am not aware of any other HD wallets (other than core) that are an HD wallet, although you might have a couple of options if you have a little bit of technical expertise.

What I believe to be your best option would be to run an electrum server, then run electrum and have it only connect to your electrum server. This will probably also be your simplest solution.

I believe that both the blockchain.info and the blocktrail.com wallets are open source. You could potentially fork either of these wallets on github, and modify the code so that transaction information is retrieved from your own full node instead of the blockchain.info or blocktrail.com full node respectively. I know that blockchain.info's wallet uses a seed to derive the xprivkey, and I believe the same is true for blocktrail. If you go this route, the chances of you loosing your money are elevated as if you made a coding mistake then you might either tell someone to send BTC to an address whose private key you do not control or outright lose access to your private keys.

5. The user claims that he does not have access to the wallet, the question from this screen https://i.imgur.com/vppQXmB.png we have the original of the file and in the file properties is written that it is made in Photoshop versions CS6?

4910  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptodevil is assisting a criminal to steal 480 bitcoins on: February 01, 2017, 05:04:44 AM
He has provided legalised documents to prove his ID as being the same as the person they have on record. Those documents have the public notary's stamp and information on them so BTC-E could contact them directly if they doubt the legitimacy of the notarisation.
I would point out that the btc-e database was hacked/leaked some time ago, although I am not sure exactly what information was leaked, it would not be unreasonable to be able to deduct a decent amount of the information that seven guy provided to btc-e from a DB leak.

I would also point out that financial institutions will require different amounts of identity verifications for different withdrawal amounts. For example, I can write a check to myself for $100, walk into the bank and cash it without having to show any kind of ID, nor swipe my ATM card (it is possible the teller recognize me), while if I want to withdraw larger amounts of money, I will need to swipe my ATM card/enter my PIN, and for even larger amounts, I will need to swipe my ATM card/PIN, and show two additional forms of ID to get cash. Similarly, btc-e might require different identity verifications when restoring access to accounts with differing amounts.

I would not think it is unreasonable for btc-e to ask that a withdrawal be only sent to a previously used deposit/withdrawal address, especially when nearly a half million dollars is involved.

As to the OP's allegation that cryptodevil is an alt of the steven guy and/or is expecting a cut of any amounts recovered by steven, I will leave that up to the spectators. I have not seen any solid evidence that this is the case, and I would not say that cryptodevil is acting especially different towards a potential scammer (btc-e in this case) then he usually does.

edit: I would also point out that no policy/procedure of a financial institution is a replacement of good judgment. If all the criteria to process a withdrawal is met, but there is a good reason not to process a withdrawal (that is outside of any procedure), then the withdrawal should not be processed.

He has not been active in a long time now.
4913  Other / Meta / Re: Is this allowed? on: January 31, 2017, 08:22:06 PM
Yes, and yes.

You are not however allowed to make off topic comments nor make insubstantial posts.

The forum believes in a free market.
As long as it's not against forum and signature campaign rules, right? Interesting.

No. Signature campaign managers do not make forum rules.

Additionally the kind of campaign rules that say one account per person are worthless to companies receiving advertising.

Edit: fix broken bb code.
4914  Other / Meta / Re: Is this allowed? on: January 31, 2017, 07:19:45 PM

So, I am asking is this kind of behavior allowed here or not? Are people here allowed to have farming accounts or not?

Is it allowed to create 10+ accounts and join signature campaigns and earn $1500+/month?

Thanks for Your answers!
Yes, and yes.

[...] We all know that this one won't be used for legal purposes.
How do you "know" that, Lauda?

I personally don't like this "guilty 'till proven innocent" attitude...  Lips sealed

[...] There's no need to play the devil's advocate.
That need is always present...
This is the mindset of Lauda. He always only looks at his own viewpoint without talking anything into consideration that would weaken his viewpoint.

@OP your only recourse is to contact dooglus, HostFat and Cyrus about this rating. These people are those who are the reason that Vod's ratings are visible by default.
4916  Economy / Goods / Re: Trade Ski House in Vermont, USA for Bitcoin on: January 31, 2017, 05:44:19 AM
Most people will want to see the house in person prior to making an offer, and will frequently at the very least look at comparable listings of sold properties in the area as well.

I think it is somewhat counterintuitive to list your home on bitify as the terms of a contract to purchase real estate are almost always much more involved than "I offer $x for your house", and usually include a number of disclosures.

If you have not done so already, I would recommend at least consulting with a real estate agent to possibly give you some advice on how to maximize your chances of selling your property at the price you want, and representing you if you feel like that would be beneficial to you.

You can of course conduct business however you wish, however I believe the above will result in the most money in your pocket at the end of the day Smiley
4917  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda/TMAN/minifrij extortion attempt on: January 31, 2017, 04:19:08 AM
While I did not think you have been especially vocal about those who evade bans and break forum rules in the past, I was not sure of just how vocal you have been above those who were evading bans and breaking rules. So I decided to gather some statistics about the last ~3 months of your posting history.
...
While I can appreciate the effort it must have taken to gather this information, I don't believe it best represents my opinions on either of those matters.

To begin, I would say that analyzing a 3 month period is a fairly small sample for someone who has been involved with issues regarding the forum from about September 2015. While I don't expect you to go that far back, it is something to keep in mind.

In addition, a few of the sections in the break down can be bundled together and perhaps be combined to create one section about general information regarding the rules of the forum. Things such as 'Rule Breakers', 'Clarification of rules' and 'Locking threads/deleting posts' could be put into this section.

Also, despite what I said, my post history shouldn't be made to make a definite conclusion on how involved I am with understanding and enforcing the rules. I expect that my report statistics, while not fantastic, can help back this up: "You have reported 463 posts with 97% accuracy"

Regarding my previous involvement with Ban Evasion, I do not understand how the amount of posts made in threads relating to bans give any sort of conclusive evidence. I believe my post on a thread by girlbtc gives an idea of my feelings towards ban evaders, that they should 'follow the rules of (their) ban and stay away'. There is little for me to do once a report has been made other than to wait for a moderator/admin to take care of it; posting "yeah you should be banned" or some variant in every thread would be spamming.
If you want to put together an analysis with a longer scope to capture more posts, then I will look at those results after you post them, and if my mind is changed I will remove your name from this thread. Or, if you want to present other measurable evidence of your stance on enforcement of bans and/or enforcement of forum rules (with a heaver emphasis on the former), that convinces me of your reasonable innocence, then I will remove your name from this thread.

I would also be willing to review the unabridged IRC logs from when it was agreed upon to extort zeroaxl up until when your second thread about zeroaxl was created, that can be authenticated by someone who I believe in this case to be telling the truth (if the only people that can confirm it's authenticity are those who have admitted to being involved, then I will by default not trust that it has not been doctored). If I believe it is reasonable that you were not involved after reviewing the IRC logs, then I will remove your name from this thread.

With as many posts as you are making defending/supporting Lauda (20 in the last 3 months in Meta, 24 in Meta/Reputation), it is easy to understand why you were creating a thread that would have helped Lauda's extortion attempt.
If things such as this are being taken into account, then I don't believe you are the best person to be making the judgement as to whether or not I am involved. Considering your (very vocal) dislike for Lauda there is a clear conflict of interest between the two of us. I believe a statement made by a third party (such as the one by Shorena) would be best suited to give a conclusion on my involvement.
Including your name here, if anything, weakens my case against Lauda/TMAN. I am a critic of Lauda because of how I have observed him act towards others, and because of his ethical principals (eg lack of ethics), not for anything personal. Additionally, while reviewing your post history, I noticed that you were responding to Shorena multiple times of Shorena being critical of Lauda, so you could say that same thing about Shorena.

Shorena has essentially said that he more or less wants a confession to believe that you are involved, which is not something I agree with. I think the available facts allow a reasonable person to reasonably conclude your involvement, even when giving you the maximum benefit of the doubt. I took the time to attempt to prove myself wrong (after I had considered what I believed to be reasonable explanations prior to naming you).

[...]
What do you mean the situations are identical? This and that one are identical or are you referencing something else that I've missed?
The OP wrote a program that can be used to steal passwords and other similar sensitive information.
Dooglus wrote/fixed a program that is designed to steal money from others.

The OP received a negative rating from Vod, Dooglus did not....hypocrite much?

That is quite strange though - but he is detecting scams now.
I am not sure what you mean by this? I see that dooglus has given negative trust to a small number of ponzi operators, which would imply that running a ponzi = scamming in his eyes. Or are you talking about Vod...if so, then it seems that Vod only selectively leaves negative trust when doing so will not jeopardize his power.
4919  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative trust with no reason on: January 31, 2017, 12:01:14 AM
I think there is some dispute whether the keylogger is actually a virus or not.

I removed the "virus" part of the feedback.

Hahaha, the other three (words) still stand, that's good!

Distributing software that is solely intended for malicious purposes is considered 'no reason'?[  Roll Eyes

Apparently not. OP appears to only help scammers to scam not scam himself (a very weird ideology)

It appears that some people are selective about who they leave negative trust against, even when both situations are nearly identical Roll Eyes

The ponzi debate is definitely a strange one. Even the more honest can still end up taking your money because they eventually end so it's best just to stay away from them altogether.
What do you mean the situations are identical? This and that one are identical or are you referencing something else that I've missed?

4920  Economy / Reputation / Re: Poll: Are you happy of Lauda's Red Trust made by Roger? on: January 30, 2017, 11:58:01 PM
There doesn't seem to be anyone with DT that's given them negative trust.  If it's been removed, then the thread is redundant.
Check the date of the thread. This situation, while being weird on its own (e.g. the user suddenly becoming a DT2 member) has been privately resolved. The thread is redundant.
It was resolved in the sense that you were able to get Rodger out of the Default Trust network, it was not resolved in a sense that it is actually reasonable to believe that you are trustworthy.

Requests to remove people from the DT network really should be public so others can present evidence of the situation, so the person making the decision does not have only one side of the story.
