4901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 07, 2020, 05:01:11 AM

NBA can still continue the season but "obviously" not today or maybe in the next 2-3 months. If the situation stills the same in the 4th quarter of the year, then they will surely consider ending it officially. It will depend on the status. It's ok to start the next season delayed as it already happened before because of the NBA lockout. Therefore, the NBA can still push the current season, even in November, but again, it will depend on the status.

They might use that last lockout as a basis for this short term game season.
October is when they always start the season right? They could just adjust it all if ever this virus will last longer.
I think they will start the playoffs after this.
Those 8th seeds in East and West will be the one playing so let us forget those who are still trying to make it at the 8th spot.
Also, they might make it as a short playoff with just maybe 5 games or worse 3.

Are they still going to let the players travel from home court to another?
I bet not.
Protecting the players even after the virus should be still a priority. That means protecting the fans too.

Yes, that format was also possible.

That's why the NBA doesn't officially end the Season for good because they still need to see the progress in the upcoming months. As I said, they still have several months to decide.

And for the return, for let's say the virus is now controlled after 2-3 months (damn, I hope so), they can use another 2-3 months for a complete assurance that everything is now controlled. From there, they can now push their plan of having games without fans and have a PPV instead.

Actually, I'm also in the position that NBA should be canceled but I don't want to think that way since claiming NBA is done for good also means that the world will be owned by the virus for long. The USA and other big countries are surely working hard to control the pandemic virus. Hoping for positive news in the upcoming months. Cross-fingers.

Hi,

This site is helping beginners, by showing them a method to earn Bitcoin and others cryptos. They help avoiding Scam sites.

https://www.cryptocorner.biz/beginner

Regards

Is this your site? Not a good way to introduce this to newbies.

Here's why

a) Most banners are misleading and clickbait. If a newbie will encounter those, surely they will just click on those without cautions. Also, it gives the site a poor impression. It was not organized and looks like a rush.

b) You mentioned that the site help to avoid scam sites, so how can you give an assurance that those listed sites there are trustworthy? It looks more of gathering referrals in my own view.

c) As a site that helps beginners, somehow there should be an explanation about how bitcoin works.

d) In the Mining tab section, there are Ponzi sites there, how come the site is avoiding scam sites?
4903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 06, 2020, 09:50:08 PM
Why can't we just cancel without proclaiming any champions? Maybe we can just simply say that there was no champions this season and call it an end? That would potentially be enough honestly because who really would agree on any champions at all right now, no matter who you pick and how you pick it there will be people who will be against it, and even though becoming a champion automatically would help financially to some teams, it would also not be welcomed all that much because they would know that they will be basically mercilessly mocked for it forever.

I think best case right now is cancelling the league, and saying there is no champions at all, there is no playoffs, there is nothing. Maybe they can do awards though, I know that wouldn't mean too much but MVP, MIP, COTY, DPOY and so forth could maybe happen, those are still viable.

The NBA season including playoffs + post-season activities + free agency lasted a whole year. NBA finals take place from last week May or the first week of June and end on the 2nd or 3rd week of June.

Why such a decision to officially end the season should be made quickly? Why it should be ended right away? It's just postponed and suspended but no need for a rush to decide to end it. We still have lots of months remaining this year. Even how worst we see the status today in the US, surely there will be changes in the upcoming months.

4904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and covid-19 : Which is more risky ? on: April 06, 2020, 09:01:30 PM
Well, people can lose lives in coronavirus but at the same time people might lose their money and become hand to mouth because of gambling.

So i would like to know your opinion, whether you think gambling is more dangerous or coronavirus is more dangerous for the people ?

Both are completely different - nature, activity, environment, etc.

What kind of comparison should we make here? I mean, what specifically do you want to know?

Don't tell me we need to tally specifically how many people got sent to other lives related to gambling and the virus?
4905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Creating Missouri Belle Casino on: April 06, 2020, 08:40:53 PM
So the general lot of you posting in here probably didn't read OP's post properly, or just don't understand.

1. Missouri Belle is a fictional casino, a subplot in the newly-released season 3 of the fictional TV series Ozark.
2. OP is asking if it's legally OK to use the name of a fictional casino.

I don't know, but I suspect all you need to do is to check if the name is trademarked. Otherwise, I don't see how anyone could sue you for using a name of a place that doesn't even exist. It'll be like making a Slytherin school.

But OP intends to use the name of that fictional casino to generate profits (well he will build a site so definitely he wants to make money with it) therefore expect that it will be taken down soon, for let's say OP got successfully make it popular and well-established. If just for fun, then he can proceed without worrying.

If OP really wants to follow the name, he can modify it a bit but still close to the name of Missouri Belle. It's the most used method by some business owners to somehow attract their customers. For example, Clash of Burgers derived from Clash of Clans, Foodever 21 derived from Forever 21, etc. - something like that.
4906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: April 06, 2020, 08:19:13 PM

The platform is nice. I take a quick look and players can modify some of the chess standards e.g time.

I just do hope that the site is not that popular as maybe there are running bots already made to bypass their system.

I'm thinking of setting up a match here if anyone wants. Smiley
4907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 03, 2020, 09:14:17 PM

Don't take their plan literally. I don't even believe it will be pushed from the said target date. Again, it's just a plan and it won't be happening soon. Or maybe we can call it proposal.

Our questions and concerns are surely already discussed on their part.

I'm sure the NBA pretty knows what they are doing.

They want NBA to continue just because of that reason, they want to make some of it back, even if not all of them, they want to make sure they get a bit of return. That is not an acceptable reason to continue honestly, keep them at home and safe, let the billionaires suffer, they can take it, at worst they can sell their teams for billions of dollars and still profit from it.

We don't need to actually bring the topic about selfishness, doctors are needed, profits etc. Those proposed plans are tentative. If 3 months from now the situation is still the same, I'm sure they will not push for the plan. They are just organizing now what things should be done so that when the virus is now controlled and it's now free to roam, even it will take a year, they are now fully prepared to commence compare to just start planning and organizing once the situation is back to normal.

Players will surely not play if the situation is still worst and fans will surely criticize the NBA. Not just the fans but other big individuals and institutions will also throw criticism to NBA for reckless action. And even prior to that, authorities will not allow the season to commence. It's prohibited.

Let's hope for the best. Smiley
4908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 03, 2020, 08:39:03 PM
The weird fact is that he needs 666 points to reach that 10,000 points club. The good thing with Arwind Santos is that he is not a battered player since the arrival of Fajardo so i think he can still play ball even at the age of 42, he's very disciplined with his body also. The question that lingers on my mind is that "can he reach that 10,000 points before the age of 40?".

If the target is prior to age 40, we have 3 factors to look at:

1) PBA games is currently suspended. As also stated above, Santos will turn 39 this June. We aren't sure when will PBA season commence.

2) SMB is currently on a test lineup for either 2-3 games to cover the hole for Fajardo's absence. Since Fajardo is now out of the season, Santos will surely have great playing time. However, there's also a possibility that Fajardo will now be cleared of the injury once PBA came back and it will now lead to SMBs rotation back to usual. The estimated period of recovery, as of the first report is about a whole conference. PBA conference lasted at around 3 months if I'm not mistaken. Although we can expect that maybe Fajardo will have limited playing time once he came back or Austria will just use him in an important situation as they did a few years ago in the Finals, Santos might be used more compare to The Kraken.

3) PBA conference has 11 games each for a total of 33 games in a season (3 conferences exclude quarterfinals, semis, and finals). Santos needs to score 21 PPG perfectly the whole season to reach the 10,000 points which are not his usual average although he can add more points by performing well in the post-elimination which has a total of 15 games (if all game reached the sudden death until Finals).

In other words, this is tough for him Cheesy Once he turned 40, he must show no signs of slowing down as it might give way to their future gunners to step up more. I believed he will reach the 10,000 points club at the age of 42 or on his retirement season. However, we need to consider the Number 1.

Feel free to correct my Math lol.
4909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 03, 2020, 07:33:35 PM
Hoping he will be allowed to go home and will freely be with His family specially in this Pandemic when we all need our love once on our side.

No way. Everyone must follow the protocol no matter who's the person involved. Anyhow, there's a current PH travel restriction. It's for everyone's safety so set aside self purposes.

Honestly, he is lucky that he can stay at his hotel, unlike seafarers that need to go home mandatory. They are the ones who will put on a hassle way before going back home since mandatory quarantine is required plus the worries that they don't want their family to be infected once they got home.

I understand Casimero, who else doesn't want to be alongside with our family in the current situation, but if he truly loved his family, stay at the hotel until everything is controlled. We want to go back to our family not worrying we carry the virus. Casimero came from a hard training following a healthy lifestyle and strict diet so even let's say he has the virus (sorry but just an example), he is surely asymptomatic for several weeks or until the virus will just go unnoticeably as his body is capable to withstand it.
4910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 02, 2020, 10:32:25 PM
There is a fine line between making sure the fans are getting the fun they deserve and making sure that NBA doesn't pay a huge penalty and make sure that contracts suddenly doesn't drop because cap will have to be lower due to lack of money NBA teams made etc etc, but also putting lifes in danger.

When you are putting players in Las Vegas and making them play there to finish the league, you are not just putting players there, you are putting coaches, assistant coaches, floor moppers, broadcasters, doctors and many other people there as well, even if there is nobody watching live there in the arena. This is why I think it is quite risky. Could it be done? Sure it could be, but is it really the solution we are looking for? It feels like it wouldn't be fun at all and just would be "lets get this over with already" type of situation which doesn't really worth all the risks involved if you ask me.

I got the picture you are pointing out and it makes sense.

However, the plan will not be executed right away. It still depends on the situation that's why they take the plan to the month of July which is 3 months to go. In a span of 3 months, we can somehow expect that the USA or any country now finds a way now to minimize the infection and able to control it. And it's not as simple as "come on resume the game now" as surely every precaution, safety, and all important things will surely take place. They will not push for something that is unprepared and empty-handed.

The world will not allow the virus to halt everything in a span of several months. Every country is doing its job. I strongly believed that the situation today will now be different 2 to 3 months from now. Just "trust the process".

Hi guys, what is the cost of making gambling casino based on btc?

Before giving you some sort of "figures", do you know where to start?

Or you just ask the question out of curiosity? Because if not and you really want to start one, you need to be knowledgeable about how crypto-gambling works. It's not just about the capital.

Lots of things to consider before engaging.
4912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: April 02, 2020, 09:27:58 PM
Well, there are 25 members who are voted with dice and roulette for safest gambling to the newbie to start with but I realized that why they are choosing that high odds game for the newbie? Perhaps betting was right but if they are not familiar with in choosing the team, that makes a cause of losses too.

Indeed, thank you for those comments I have read. It took almost 1 hour for me to read every suggestion the had. Perhaps locking this thread once this page 5 will end and I hope there someone who can explain better.

I don't know what kind of comment or statement you are looking at.

In your observation, you already concluded that every choice is not recommended in terms of "safe". You want to find a gambling game that is "literally" safest but we are talking about gambling here.

Not necessary to wait for someone who can explain it better as all responses here is already enough to draw a picture. Well then, yes maybe you can now lock the thread.

Quick Question:

1. On the lobby section, it shows the current number of logins and I saw some usernames, is this panel is showing the currently active users?

2. Is the site just commence now? Are those users listed are for tests only or you really got some unique users now on the site? I'm amazed at the current numbers of available games if those are real users.

3. A FAQ is one of the most visited sections of any site. When it will become available?
4914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 01, 2020, 11:12:37 PM

Since most of us are now lurking most of the time in front of our desk, I've watched some of the basketball game highlights that marked in history either PBA, NBA, and MBA (the now, MPBL version).

One game highlight I watched is the 81-point game of Kobe Bryant and when LeBron James passed him in the All-time scoring leaders. It's now lead me to check the total score made by NBA players. Then somehow I lurk to PBA news and saw some article about its All-time Scoring Ladder so I began thinking, why the hell all these times, I didn't even think of checking the total scoring leaders in our own, Philippine Basketball Association. Cheesy

Here's the Top 20: ((Wiki is not updated)

1. Ramon Fernandez - 18,996
2. Abet Guidaben - 15,775
3. Alvin Patrimonio - 15,091
4. Atoy Co - 12,994
5. Nelson Asaytono - 12,668
6. Philip Cezar - 12,077
7. Jojo Lastimosa - 12,008
8. Bogs Adornado - 11,967
9. Robert Jaworski - 11,760
10. Allan Caidic - 11,719
11. Jerry Codiņera - 10,868
12. James Yap - 10,792
13. Benjie Paras - 10,322
14. Francis Arnaiz - 10,292
15. Mark Caguioa - 10,071
16. Freddie Hubalde - 9,927
17. Manny Victorino - 9,596
18. Vergel Meneses - 9,453
19. Arnie Tuadles - 9,430
20. Arwind Santos - 9,334

As we can see, J. Yap, Caguioa and Santos are the active players today. J. Yap can still catch up to Jerry Codiņera for the 11th rank even with the hiatus of PBA. Santos also has a chance to reach the 17th spot. However, for Caguioa, it looks like he will be in 15th place once he retires since even he is still active, his playing time is now mostly at the bench lol.

What's your own experiences with DEX's? Which one do you like the most, etc?

I do amazed that some people are still into DEX trading even we can say today that the hype of using DEX is now decreased especially when those so-called "promising projects" got crashed on the 2018 bear market.

I personally like trading on DEXes' but since the volume of the majority of coins isn't that appealing anymore, no choice but to deal with the centralized ones.

I'm surprised that there are still coins who are pumping up and showing a decent volume where DEX as their main trading platform. I hope to see again soon the wide usage of DEX trading.

- E-SPORT
every year E-Sport enthusiasts continue to rise even to the match at the Olympics, many predictions say that the E-SPORT market in the future is very large, the profit generated can be billions of dollars.  E-Sport does not need a big place and spectators, even players can do matches at home..  You can get a reference for example or type of game HERE

It's simple to say that "E-Sport doesn't need a big place and spectators" but there are lots of factors that should be looked at if a certain event will be pushed on their exact given date. There are now lots of E-sports events and tournaments that got canceled or postponed due to the pandemic virus.

Playing online as an alternative to push the event isn't even a good solution as all involved players are also practicing social distancing. It's difficult for a certain team not to play alongside each other in a big and major event.

- LOTTERY
This is one of the old types of gambling, although there are currently several lottery providers that have temporarily closed their services, but in fact the Lottery market is very large and can still survive if creative and innovative service providers for example by adopting crypto currencies.

I don't see yet a crypto-gambling site that offers a lottery that becomes a success in the long-run.

On the other hand, if we take this on a physical lottery, yes the majority closed their service but even they continue to operate, I doubt people will be allowed to go to this place. Lining up in a lottery is defeating the purpose of social distancing and I doubt a community that put under lockdown will have the interest to throw some money to play on a lottery.
4917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 31, 2020, 07:56:30 PM
As long as Lakers sorted all people that were in the direct contact with those 2 players, and if they are properly controlling them, I have no issues with them hiding that info from the public. Even though I don't see a reason to hide this, or to be ashamed, it is not those players fault, virus was given to them by someone else.

In fairness, every NBA team did great work to immediately contained all their players and isolate them right after the league was suspended.

Not just the players but the whole part of its organization.

Kudos to their quick response.

Transparency.
They really should. It ain't a shame but to save more people.
What if this 2 guys forgot where they had been while they are already carrying the virus.

Yeah. If you will notice, LeBron James' name is always on the news during the quarantine period. If I will apply my "non-sense" observation, either he's is really virus-free or they are creating this regular exposure of him to show people that he's healthy.

According to the report, it's Lakers' discretion not to named those players. I don't see any negative impact on any team if they named those players. They are honestly good at hiding some clues. But one thing I'm sure, the involved players are part of the main core.

As of now, 4 of their players are confirmed negative: Davis, McGee, Dudley, and Cook leaving 13 remaining players who still not disclosing their status.

The greatest comeback in NBA Finals: 2016 Finals between Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors

If my memory served me right:

Website: Directbet.eu
Prior Finals: I've placed a bet for Cavaliers to win the Series @ 4
After being down by 1-3: Cavaliers to win the Series @ 7 (Who will pick this kind of crazy pick? Me lol)

This is so far the risky pick I made in my whole basketball betting history (not the one I did for Mavericks @1.2 with a bet of BTC0.05 lol - I won btw)

Good news to those PBA lovers and Esports lovers as well, Marc Pingris and Junemar Fajardo are going to play DOTA for a cause, for those who can relate to this game it's your time help and support the frontliners of our battle with this disease. I'm not an enthusiast of this game  Grin and don't have any idea of the mechanics on how we can support this endeavor.

https://www.pba.ph/news/pingris-fajardo-play-dota-for-worthwhile-cause

I can't find any mechanics too. According to the article, the event was started last March 24 and they are now done with Marvel of War.

Just 4 days ago, they managed to raised Php250,000 and now it rose to Php400,000. Good job for those who take part in this Mineski's event.

This is not a big event, and this is for a cause so the public are not interested with this, they will instead just focus on the real esports games than this one, and these two knows each other, they could rig the game and bet for themselves, so it's not gonna happen.

Yes, I agree there will be no online betting for these as it was a charity game.

But if there is, I disagree that it will be rigged. If you know the game mechanics, you can actually see and understand if something unusual is happening and I doubt these players will take advantage of the current situation that the nation is dealing with. The game is live. It's a disgrace as a public figure if something goes wrong. The players involved are kind and helpful so I doubt they will take advantage of the situation just to make a profit to themselves.

I never had register on exchange.bitcoin.com but I received a mail to complete registration there. It has been more than one year when I last visited bitcoin.com, I even didn't knew about the subdomain exchange.bitcoin.com, this is very stupid way to reach people. I am surprise where they got my mail, I have used it in bitcointalk and some other places which are non crypto website.

It should have an "Unsubscribe" option.

If it still spams, then there's something "unusual" happening and it needs to be reported.

But it really weird that you have become an email subscriber without your permission.
