4901  Economy / Economics / Re: What in the world is AC.T ? Watch youtube vid to see one of the ways it can help on: July 12, 2020, 04:00:33 PM
I would suggest starting this up in altcoin or service sections, that way you could get more attention. This is the economics section where we talk about economics at large and not products, and looking at AC.T it looks like it is a product and it has nothing to do with economics at large, it is a product related to economics for sure but yet again it is just a product.

Right, I think altcoin will be a perfect fit for the OP's project. And maybe someone are willing to invest on it. If the OP is promoting this on this board, chances are you won't get any investors because for me this has nothing to do with economics issues that we need to discuss it.

If you start a topic at service section and explain much better what AC.T is and what you want from people, you could definitely get a better round about from people and at least a decent feedback. This is just not the place for this and all the attention you will get would be wrong attention and wouldn't really help you out at all, maybe a bit but definitely negative with other ones combined into that.

And perhaps he can also meet someone with similar ideas, maybe collaborate to get this project going and of course getting some investors are I have said. Goodluck to the OP because it seems he is aggressively pushing for this project to develop and take off.
4902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON 4.0: Boom or Bust? on: July 12, 2020, 12:51:51 PM
i did not hear before about Tron version 4.0 but i play some games on trx and i must say that it is fine working with it , not sure if it would be better then it already is (for me ) .
but with justin i aspect it to be more shouting then deliver so , let's see

Of course, it is Justin playing with us again with his Tron version 4.0 but we all know that this is just a hype project. And it was supposed to be scheduled to be released last July 7.

But there are no significant movement, although the price resistance of $0.017 has been overcome but just barely as the price currently is $0.018, so it's almost no movement at all.
4903  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: July 12, 2020, 12:28:43 PM
usually Big traders sell and buy Bitcoin. Because this business is fluctuating through both big and small, I think it means that there is price movement and it is completely under control. We have to be more careful because if we get stuck, our funds will be lost, It's work carefully.

To be honest, I can't understand what you are saying here. If you are talking about business talking bitcoin as payment, then obviously they have to look at how it moves or fluctuates and that is the big risk they have to take specially if the price goes down because it means they have loss their capital from that sell.

For the current situation, others says it's boring because the market is moving sideways. But this could be a buy signal and we may see another break out run starting next month. The market will not stay stagnant for this long, it has to move at some point.
4904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if cryptocurrency on: July 12, 2020, 11:34:22 AM
I have been thinking if cryptocurrency projects should come back as it was in the early 2016 to 2017 as many of us came into cryptocurrency industry the time it has been made visible to many people, because that early 2016 a lot of people don't really have the knowledge and how it works that time, what do you think that will happen if those days should come back in the crypto phase?

As much as we love to see crypto coming back similar to the huge hype around 2017 culminating to a new all time high for most of the coins, I don't think we can relived that glory days.

(1) Investors now have matured already, they don't just pour their money to a project without doing any proper research
(2) There are still scam projects, legit projects are affected by the stigma
(3) Projects now doesn't offer anything new, it's just a copy cat of previous projects
(4) Hacks are all over, if you don't know how to protect your assets then you won't gonna stay long in this game

That's some of the factors that I think will not bring back the hype around 2017. And if will take some time before we can see a altcoin bull run. Everything is different now.
4905  Economy / Speculation / Re: $BTC Balance on Exchanges on: July 11, 2020, 11:48:54 PM
One thing is for sure. If Bitcoin holders are afraid that BTC will crash again back to $6,000, $3,000 or even print a price chart that indicates it has more room to downtrend, you will definitely see more BTC in exchanges.

But that is not the case.

I believe, just like I am, Bitcoin has enough crashing: a long bear market with three major crashes. The last one was a support tester with that panic selling that briefly brought the price to $3,000-level. Plus of course, the halving. It does not compute if there is any future to cryptocurrencies, the price will crash to below mining profits again.

TLDR; It's bullish.

Anyway, I'm speculating we will see more btc in exchanges once the price reaches ATH at $20,000.  Shocked

More likely if we see bitcoin price touches five digits again, more will FOMO and we all know that it could be one of the main drivers for speculators to get in again. We seen crashes this year already due to the pandemic so I doubt we will go on that levels again.

Let's see if this is a bullish indicator, or at least at indicator that worth to be taken seriously.  Investors and Traders keeping their bitcoin in a wallet that they have total control and when bitcoin goes on a massive bull run, just sit back and watch their investments grow.
4906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 11, 2020, 11:36:19 PM
Everyone thought it was that easy to make money by mining new coins, they thought they can get rich fast because many lose opportunities when Bitcoin and litecoin was easy to mine, what they don't know is scammers are in the game now, it's hard to mine a new coin that will survive nowadays
There are a lot of people, who think that it is easy to earn profit from mining. If you can be enough patient, you can get profit from mining, but it will not so quick money as think. But it is not easy as expected, before everything you need to have good knowledge about that and also great equipment. Scammers are also a huge problem, but more than that l think it is more important to choose coin for mining. That is why coin which useless can be wasting time for mining.

I almost fell for this mining and all the money that you are going to earn in the past. Good thing is that I research everything and I said that this is no longer profitable and it's really hard to earn. And if you are going to get some profits, it is still miserable as compare to the investments and initial capital that you are going to pour in, not good.

But majority of newbies are falling for the trap and not doing some proper investigations and simply believed that crypto mining is a money making machine, it is not.
4907  Local / India / Re: Cashaa hacked. 336 BTC Stolen. on: July 11, 2020, 11:19:12 PM
Even if big names like Binance get hacked, how can people have the trust to store their coins on a small exchange like this one? I get that they are traders, but traders need to understand that there's always a big risk of a hack, a "hack" or an exit scam, and unless they make truly crazy money from day trading, it's simply not worth it to do trading from the point of view of risk/reward calculation, because the risk of incidents like this results in a negative expected value.

Crypto traders will never really learn, unless it's too late and then they will blame the system, the exchanges. But if they would just look closely, storing bitcoin in wallet that you don't have control in the first place is a big risk. And now the worst had happen, the exchange has been hack or maybe there was an inside job or probably some employees click a malicious link that started all.

And small exchanges like this don't have SAFU, for sure. Of course, we wanted them to pay back and compensate their users, so we will have to see, but the chances are slim.
4908  Economy / Economics / Re: The Decentralized Economy During COVID-19 on: July 11, 2020, 02:03:26 PM
Ever since COVID-19 took the world by storm, people have been resorting to the world of "Decentralized Finance" (De-Fi). Ethereum-based smart contracts provide many services known in the traditional banking industry such as lending and borrowing. There's been a boom in "De-Fi" tokens over the past months as the mainstream economy loses traction.

I think it accelerate, but even prior the the pandemic, there's already a hype of this whole Defi.

If the current monetary system collapses in its entirety, people will dive in the decentralized economy like never before. It seems that COVID-19 is accelerating adoption of decentralized cryptocurrencies as we speak. The longer the outbreak takes to disappear, the better it'll be for the growth of "Decentralized Finance". I've seen many people talking about ETH's several "De-Fi" platforms, bringing some hype to the industry. Compound tokens (COMP), and even DAI have increased in popularity in such a short amount of time.

I don't think that the monetary system will collapse, unless we are really in a war wherein, everything stood still. Right now the economy is already moving, although there is risk involved because of the pandemic.

Do you think that COVID-19 will become extremely beneficial to the decentralized economy in the long term? Is "De-Fi" way overhyped these days? What will happen with crypto once COVID-19 comes to an end? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

For me it's just another overhype thingy, similar to what we have witnessed during the ICO craze. Last year we have the IEO, so it looks like the pattern will continue and there could be more crypto ideas similar to ICO/IEO/Defi in the next couple of years. But they are going to be hype until there's a new idea that will turn the crypto market again.
4909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else see a big bitcoin upwards movement coming very soon? on: July 11, 2020, 01:35:25 PM
I thought Bitcoin's price will fall down after halving but it didn't.

Maybe we can say that the reason why the price of Bitcoin is staying at $9K is that there are a lot of people in India increasing the dominance of it while we are in the pandemic. People are scared because they thought that it will fall though I don't think there are a lot of people that invested there too. But some articles said that the people investing in cryptocurrencies there are increasing.

I do agree that it will increase and I am not really affected when it falls down since I know it will just go back quickly.

That's okay. A lot of people thought it would go up and it didn't either. To be fair, I think more people were disappointed by the lack of post halving action, but really, price was never meant to go up that much after halving, every past event needed months for the volume reaction.

Yes, perhaps there are really a lot of traders or investors who haven't been here during the last halving in 2016. So they really anticipated a huge jump in price. this 2020. But it doesn't work that way, there are too much economics that need to be satisfied first before the price goes on a bull run.

Don't know about India but in dollarised Lebanon and Argentine demand has never been higher. Bitcoin due some recognition there!

There's so much news about those countries, and maybe we can include Venezuela as well.
4910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the first-ever ICO you’ve invested? on: July 11, 2020, 01:20:22 PM
I have invested a lot but I already liquidated all of them during it's boom and I'm glad that I did it, otherwise I will be also trapped similar to what had happened to the OP and many more other investors.

Yes, those where the happiest time, a simple to mid investors will really turn out to be profitable. Perhaps the question is are we going to see that kind of boom in the altcoin market? It was really crazy, there are lot of irrational investors (including me), but it really paid good dividends. But there are also who didn't sell and think that this madness will go on parabolic rise.
4911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 11, 2020, 05:39:39 AM
When I read the title of the topic, I thought you were talking about the size of *cough* arms.  Grin

Yeah, crypto casinos are indeed growing very fast and it's only a matter of time before they take over a significant portion of the economy of many countries as well!

We have seen the crypto casinos is really growing big, we don't need to wait. Billions and billions of money are flowing and I won't be surprise if there are more investors similar to fiat based investors that are willing to pour a lot of money in online casinos because of a good profit in the end.

I wonder what it would look like if government also gambles with peoples tax money lmfao.

I doubt that government will involved themselves, they may take part of the taxes, similar to what they do with fiat based, but i don't know if this idea will sits well with crypto casinos.
4912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 11, 2020, 05:20:22 AM
https://www.forbes.com/sites/daniellerossingh/2020/07/10/wimbledon-to-pay-out-13-million-in-prize-money-despite-cancellation/#3b56a1ae3675

wimbledon will pay prizes to all players that were foreseen in the draw, although cancelled, they agreed this with insurance company, fair move by the greatest tennis tournament

That is good to hear that Wimbly is being fair specially for those low rank players to get paid. Specially that we are in the pandemic and tennis players are not making money, kudos to them.

And I think US Open is also not reducing their prize money, because they understand the current situation. I don't know who's who in the US Open this year, but I bet that there are just a couple of top rank and more of a mid to lower rank who are trying to enter and win the trophy and the huge money.
4913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Automation Nowadays on: July 10, 2020, 09:42:23 AM
Hello!
I am the project Manager of "Trading Automation Nowadays" . This is software that will engage in trading and it is absolutely free. But you must remember that free cheese is only in the mousetrap! For this reason, after receiving the software, you will need to give 50% of the bitcoins that the software will earn you. Isn't this a cool collaboration? Places are limited! If you want to get into a closed project, then contact the founder in the telegram @McSiena

Lol, it's free but we will give you 50% of our profit? It's not how things work here. First, you are still a newbie, so how can we even trust you. Second, your bot is not yet proven, and there's a lot of bots around, one time fee and then the profits goes to you 100%. I think that is the most logical options, instead of getting a free bot. Free risk on your side and then you passively earn from crypto traders. Don't get this word personally, just established yourself here first.
4914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance compared to other Crypto Exchange. on: July 10, 2020, 09:07:08 AM
I would agree that Bittrex was the Binance before Binance comes along. And then Binance took off with CZ very active and sort of listening to his customers that's why it grew in the last three years and left the competition behind.

As for the image you attached, yes it is true, as they also posted it on their official Binance twitter account: https://twitter.com/binance/status/1281106043548794880

They are the leading so far and keeps on evolving, that's why it is really hard for other exchanges to really get close and make the crypto trading exchange more competitive.
4915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brock Pierce running for US president - Any thoughts? on: July 10, 2020, 08:44:59 AM
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the chances of him(and Kanye West) actually winning is next to zero. Other candidates like Andrew Yang have been campaigning for a while now but yet they pulled out because the chances of them winning is very low. In the end, it's most likely just going to be Trump vs Biden. Brock's most likely completely aware of this and is just "running" for president for publicity purposes, whatever his agenda is.

Yeah, I mean we love to see pro-bitcoiners running for the US Presidency, but most of them are not even qualified like Kanye West (which to me is just banking of the BLM noise). It's good if we are going to see a US President that will support bitcoin in the future, however, it that will be there stance and sort of 'battle-cry' to run, I don't think they will get the support of even as a hard core bitcoiner. It takes more than to be a pro crypto to head the highest office of the world's most powerful economy.
4916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Who should Ryan Garcia fight? on: July 09, 2020, 11:59:02 PM
I'd also like to see Gervonta and Ryan on the ring. These two created hype on social media with their beef, and including the media are creating hype since March as well. Infact, I have found an interestingmatch up review on YouTube  last week, and I'm surprised someone posted about Ryan Garcia's next potential opponent.
But, I guess this fight won't going to happen this time, I mean this both fighter are young, talented, and rising stars. Boxing is a business, they'll probably build enough hype against this two before they go for the War, most probably out of their primes just like the Pacquiao Mayweather fight. Idk, I'm not sure, but I'm looking forward for these two in the ring.

Right, I think Garcia should fight good fighters first and really make more hype on his name, same as Davis, he should be match or shall we say cherry pick opponents that will highlight his skills and then when the hype is too big already, I'm sure both promoters can sit down and talk because there is a huge money to be made between this two talented fighters.
4917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 50% increase in Doge coin price in just 24 hours! on: July 09, 2020, 11:48:20 PM
If i had doge at the time i will totally sell everything and if before this i knew i will buy but now after the whole dust is settled i really think is a bad move to buy it.Dont fall for a trap like this

Those kind of pump are really hard to anticipate, unless if you join some pump and dump groups around. But then again, it's just a pump and as we all know this kind of practice won't go that long and it's not really sustainable.

For sure there are many who make a ton of money, but there could be someone who FOMO and get trap inside. So it is still 50-50, thus you don't have to regret not able to buy prior the the pump unless you are really a bag holder of Doge.
4918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COMP and pump and dump? on: July 07, 2020, 04:32:58 PM
Does someone know one fo the usualy suspects, like Pompliano, about pushing that project to the moon? I just wonder who made the most money with that project, if the price decreases to a single digit it definately won´t be people from the project itself since I assume they have a holding period that isn´t over yet

We can't really know for sure who are the people behind pumping this project and making huge money. As far as I know Pompliano is an advocate of bitcoin, so not sure if he also deals with other altcoins.

I thought that the pump is done already though? But it looks like it somewhat maintain the price just < $200 and it is still giving a good ROI based on coinmarketcap. But it looks like the community is still divided, others see this COMP as just pure hype and pump and dump, while there are who believed that this is a good coin to invest long term. But I will sided on that this is just a hype and pump and dump, sorry to burst the bubble for others.
4919  Other / Off-topic / Re: WATCH OUT - TikTok app is a SPYWARE!!! on: July 07, 2020, 06:53:38 AM
I have all my family members downloading this apps on their phone and enjoying it, Lol. But lately, I was surprised to find out that they are no longer using so I ask, and then say it is sort of a spyware just like what the OP is telling.

Most of them are Iphone users, so no-no for them. This apps really took the world by storm, and not only TikTok but there are a lot of apps out there that we need to be very careful, crypto or non-crypto related. We really don't know what's those close apps are doing in our mobile, could be really malicious as what this TikTok is doing until they are finally exposed.
4920  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of the fake Elon Musk bitcoin giveaway on: July 06, 2020, 11:17:12 PM
I've been seeing this Elon Musk scam on youtube the past few days or so. They were using another celebrity as well but I can't recall who it was right now, but I was surprised youtube was pushing these ads. They weren't on the actual videos themselves but the image adverts to the right of the video. Don't they have people vetting these before they go up? They should be liable if people start to lose money on them as they're essentially promoting scams.

It's because there are lot of Youtube accounts being hacked specially those that has a lot of followers. And then use those hack channels to spread this fake Elon Musk giveaways. Again, the rule of thumb is that Elon Musk is not giving free money or any rich person for that matter. Second, be careful and use our common sense and be educated.

Not just in Youtube, but there are a lot of social platforms that has been spreading this kind of trick featuring Elon Musk.
