4901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 22, 2021, 09:40:04 PM
Until now, Real Madrid and ATM are profiting from Barcelona drop and taking the full mark. ATM game already finished 1-0 while Real Madrid one is still ongoing with 1 goal ahead of Levante in the first half.
Koeman is explaining Barca defeat with opponents are more confident of winning since Messi is no longer with them lol!
As much as I would agree with you I still feel both Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid haven't really made a statement by scoring quite a number of goals in a match to send a message to everyone that they are ready to take the podium, at the moment they are all average teams to be honest there is nothing extraordinary that has been shown really, I even wonder if people are actually excited to also watch this league for these teams competitiveness otherwise it's still open for anyone to lead..
4902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban, mission impossible on: August 22, 2021, 08:45:59 PM
The thing about bitcoin also goes side by side with how the digitized(cyber) economy has been regulated and understood by the citizens of that country. If citizens see no threat about things such as crypto no one will be alarmed or will require the protection of the government as protecting its people is one of its responsibilities.
Btw banning bitcoin is a difficult journey as it's not in a physical form that can be locked out of sight to prevent people from using it, the best the government can do is give pros and cons of the digital economy of cryptocurrencies.
4903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoincash or Ethereum on: August 22, 2021, 07:44:53 PM
Anybody that knows how bitcoincash came about agrees that this coins tried to divide the crypto community...the bitcoin community to be precise which was almost torn apart with its forked coin and knowing this fact I wouldn't support it in spite having a few improvements to it!

So picking  between the two I will go with Ethereum has its accepted by the the crypto community and more of a utility coin unlike being a speculative coin like most.
4904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of cryptocurrencies are fraudulent on: August 22, 2021, 06:47:59 PM
Coins with nothing to offer but be speculative, I guess fraudulent fits in well Tongue because most of the coins on the market the main beneficiaries are the developers themselves with the premined coins they secure for themselves, which is why dishonest devs pump and dump ad the coins are not really valid and genuine collateral.

95% I thought that's too high of a number as not all a speculative as indicated number might be in the eighty percents or so as I know quite a few good coins out there which aren't just growing based on speculation.
4905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 05:46:32 PM
History was on the wrong side for Arsenal today, I really thought they would turn tables after they lost their opening match and take it has some kind of motivation but it was not to behind!
Chelsea  outclassed the gunners in every position, and without the Gabon striker and French man I didn't fancy Arsenal winning and as long as those two are absent forget about these guys winning a game as they lack the leadership and Inspiration to focus and get back on track.

It was nice seeing Lukaku play fearlessly and threatening in front of goal and getting a goal as he continues to show some nice form picking up from were he left since last season.
4906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 05:35:50 PM
I didn't have time to watch the match live, but after seeing the highlights  boy did that height advantage come in handy for Yordenis Ugas! Manny Pacquiao stood no chance, his age not much of a factor but his height let him down and even should that people were calling this an upset....sorry but the Pac-Man got beat clean.

I guess it's time for the man to retire while the sport has some respect left for him to concentrate on his political career.
4907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 02:44:32 PM
How unlucky can Manchester United be, first they get an own goal courtesy of Fred and now they are failing to win after scoring two goals of the match....can a miracle happen before the end of the match, we can't be dropping points this early to teams like Southampton when the league isn't even heated up yet.

Other game of the day, Tottenham are up by 1 goal after a Deli Alli penalty goal which put them in front and look like we be having a perfect start of the season, but can they keep the pressure on the top teams?
4908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 12:24:30 PM

Sports Betting Or Gambling ?
This should have read Sports Betting or casino Gambling as both are types of gambling.

There are people who play gambling only while there are others who prefer betting only.
Do you think both of these type of people have different mindset and one of them is willing to take more risk than than others ?
Yes they are different, and taking more risk....I think those that are casino inclined take more risks because of the different kinds of strategies that are available to them, Sports Betting as few  betting strategies that can be applied to it say for example hedging which isn't allowed on most platforms, others strategies like martingale can't really be applied to moat Sports games.

Also do think that gambling is for the entertainment and earning money too but people do betting only to earn money and there is no element of fun involved in it.
Let's call a spade a spade, we all gambling for profits and not fun and games...we might hide under the guise of fun but the primary objective is money am certain not everyone will agree with me Smiley
4909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 22, 2021, 11:27:24 AM
Arsenal vs Chelsea this is my match of the day and despite Arsenal showing so many holes in the team they seem to have a knack over the blues and I feel that it's worth putting some money on them to beat Chelsea as long as they will play Aubameyang and Lacazette, if not am not putting in my bets.

I really enjoyed watching the Leeds vs Everton match yesterday. I was expecting a competitive game and it didn't make me surprised. Everton got ahead two times but Leeds were able to score the equalizer in both cases. Calvert-Lewin scored again. I think a draw was the best for a match like this.
It was a great match unfortunately my Olympian Richarlison did not get on the score sheet as I expected Everton to get more goals than they did against Leeds with the performance they had put the other week.
4910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments prohibit developers from creating a new coin? on: August 22, 2021, 11:06:14 AM
It's difficult to stop people from developing such as there is no law that has stopped people from creating software(this should be were crypto falls) unless its cracked or intellectual property, in reality its impossible because we aren't sure if its for personal use or commercial use.

And besides the government might ban crypto but prohibiting the development of cryptocurrencies needs another law to be applied..

4911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 22, 2021, 07:36:33 AM
Basically what this means is if a casino has set a minimum players can wager with say for example 0.0001 btc, this 0.1mbtc 10 years ago would be worth a few cents but with the rise of bitcoins value this is worth a couple of dollars today which means casinos are banking more money and players will be wagering more than they are used to .
And for people new to crypto they might look at these zeros to be nothing but in reality you are wagering more if you try to get to the nearest whole number which is a win win for the casino.
4912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 22, 2021, 06:19:26 AM
Barcelona no longer have Mr impossible in their team and now everyone takes them to be an average team, and if you ask me I don't see them challenging for top spot anymore...this will be another Atlético Madrid win as they are the only capable team( strong opposition)as far as Laliga goes.

Just last night Athletic Bilbao held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw despite having the least possession  but lets not write them off just yet.
4913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: F*CK BITCOIN. USELESS COIN BACKED BY NOTHING. Stablecoins are the future. on: August 22, 2021, 06:09:31 AM
Bitcoin is useless.
No it's not, that $48000 it's currently sitting on says it's worth something and value is still going up.

Nothing more than a tool for speculative idiots. Satshi who?  What is bitcoin backed by? Absolutely nothing. At least fiat is backed by a nations economic prowess.
It's difficult to justify why bitcoin is up there but all I know is it gets it's power and value from its users. It's like a car all cars are meant to move us from one place to another but within these cars because we have believed that these are valuable they are valued above average.

We are building a new stablecoin that will be 100% backed by dollars. A currency backed by the worlds largest economy. Unlike useless bitcoin. This is the future.  Reply for more info.
Stablecoins are not exciting for investments which is why they aren't as popular but of course they are safe against volatility.

AC Milan are on the verge of signing Pietro Pellegri from Monaco, says Calciomercato.

The Serie A side will pay €1 million to get him on loan and will have an option to buy him for around €7m (£6m/$8m).

He will undergo a medical in Milan on Sunday before completing the move.

Real plot laid raid for Mbappe (AS)

Blancos to move for World Cup winner

Real Madrid will, according to AS, launch a late raid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe before the summer window closes.

The Blancos have long been linked with the World Cup winner and will move for him again 48 hours before the deadline passes if PSG are unable to agree a new contract with a prized asset.

4915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 21, 2021, 06:03:01 PM
For the second game in a row, Psg conceded two goals from not very strong teams.
Am not a PSG fan but am worried for them because if a team that is considered strong is failing to keep clean sheets against weaker teams, then what will happen will the face tougher opponents?? PSG needs to fix their defense asap!

Offensively, everything is in order, even in the absence of Messi and Neymar. .

I think we won't even notice the absence or presence of Messi because PSG is an attack minded team. I don't expect anything extraordinary from him Tongue

Perhaps Ramos will change the situation for the better.
I hope you are right, I was going to say his gotten older but with defenders the older they get they better the become, we yet to see this happen.

Inside Afghanistan's cryptocurrency underground as the country plunges into turmoil

Farhan Hotak isn't your typical 22 year-old Afghan.

In the last week, he helped his family of ten flee the province of Zabul in southern Afghanistan and travel 97 miles to a city on the Pakistani border. But unlike others choosing to leave the country, once his relatives were in safe hands, Hotak then turned around and came back so that he could protect his family home – and vlog to his thousands of Instagram followers about the evolving situation on the ground in Afghanistan.

He has also been keeping a very close eye on his crypto portfolio on Binance, as the local currency touches record lows and nationwide bank closures make it next to impossible to withdraw cash.

"In Afghanistan, we don't have platforms like PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle, so I have to depend on other things," said Hotak.

Afghanistan still mostly operates as a cash economy, so money in Hotak's crypto wallet won't help him put dinner on his table tonight, but it does give him peace of mind that some of his wealth is safeguarded against economic instability at home.

It also offers bigger promises down the road: Access to the global economy from inside Afghanistan, certain protections against spiraling inflation, and crucially, the opportunity to make a bet on himself and a future he didn't think was possible before learning about bitcoin.

"I have very, very, very limited resources to do anything. I'm interested in the crypto world, because I have earned a lot, and I see a lot of potential in myself that I can go further," he said.
Run on the banks
For many Afghans, this week has laid bare the worst-case scenario for a country running on legacy financial rails: A nationwide cash shortage, closed borders, a plunging currency, and rapidly rising prices of basic goods.

I guess this has become a trend for struggling economies to turn to bitcoin when things hit rock-bottom, we have seen this in Zimbabwe, Venezuela etc and now Afghanistan,  we can say bitcoin is a financial savior.

4918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin solving the problem of intermediary on: August 21, 2021, 01:12:38 PM
As long as the merchant can wait for confirmations to avoid buyers from acting dishonest like double spending their transaction ...bitcoin and crypto payments in general are a good alternative to fiat the only problem could be the fluctuations in price which could be a cost on you should bitcoin be bearish but overall bitcoin is far much better than our traditional currencies.

the problem of intermediary has made cross border transaction hard and expensive as most business have to pay high fees and longer transaction time, but with bitcoin cross border transaction is easy and takes less time for the transaction to get confirmed.
That's the thing which is my bitcoin keeps getting popular and gaining ground over fiat because it's a currency without boarders

4920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are all altcoins dependent on Bitcoin? on: August 21, 2021, 11:10:19 AM
In a way you can say altcoins need btc to survive in terms of if bitcoin is bullish it more likely that all coins will ride this wave and become bullish too but the opposite hardly happens were altcoins get bullish bitcoin might not get to ride this wave and by the way when an altcoin is bullish it usually happens only on that coin and not all other coins.
