This business model is likely going to be a new trend in the future. The problem is already explained by LarsLind and other users above. This is not a problem of blockchain tx being stuck or something like that, it's not even related at all.

Just wait for 10 days and if you still can't withdraw it then contact them again. If you don't like waiting for this clearing stuff then use other exchanges to buy your bitcoin or do P2P.

I'd not think too much about the discrepancies. Instead of focusing on the market cap I'd rather see a good volume & depth on trading as that's what pushes the price up or down. There are many examples where tokens/coins with big market cap eventually lose nearly half of its mc simply because the volume is so low.

It's not a really good metric if you want to see market depth. And as mentioned, you can always make your own calculation if you don't agree with it. Be prepared for questions though.

I'm not sure if there's an exchange that gives you free withdrawal except if you transfer it into another user of the exchange (off-chain transactions, like Luno did). If I understood you correctly, then you're suggesting some exchange does not ask for withdrawal fee of ETH, BNB etc. Can you give an example of this?

You don't have to update the firmware quickly. It's okay to wait a new update where third party apps can work with the latest firmware, including Wasabi.

To prevent something like this, make sure you use a reputable exchange, at least with a tx id displayed when they send your transaction so you can complains later if something went wrong. If you use an exchange which doesn't display or give you such thing, and they don't want to give it when you ask on support chat, there's a high chance they're scamming you.

On the other hand, there can be a case where the 2nd exchange that you use is the one who pull a scam, or just plain terrible. I know some exchanges that behave like this. You need to contact support just to make your balance refreshed every single time. They're simply a pain in the ass to deal with.

This mess happens because most system use fiat to denominate the value of their products. Which is why most merchants would quickly liquidate their bitcoins after they receive it from the buyers. If in the future the value of bitcoin become stable, or if people can confidently say that their products this amount of bitcoin without having to worry about the fiat value, I guess it won't be that problematic. Regardless of the conditions, there will always be some workaround anyway.

As mentioned in the OP, I think those investors believe that bitcoin is way more volatile. Double-digit growth or loss is a common occurrence. But I think this is how the market works for now. The risk are higher but it's more rewarding. This is why their holding target is not that big yet, as throwing too much money might cause them a headache.


Or the average joe sees the news, believe those investors will buy more, start buying more, pumping the price while the big guy is waiting for a perfect entry to exit the market as usual.
