It is impossible for Kohli to control aggression, if middle order fails then you should have a some one who can take control of the the game at lower order, unfortunately India has been facing that problem for a long time now.
I am impressed with the aggressive approach of Kohli in the T20 as he was not the best T20 captain as we have seen him struggle during IPL but in this series against New Zealand he was able to dominate and win close matches but in the ODI he was not able to continue that success and it is because India is not playing many ODI in recent months and if they find the grove they will start performing well.
Now playing in all three formats with same captain is also not good idea BCCI need to think about this and give some relief as bring Sharma is replacement for any one format ODI or Twenty/20 because this could be good for Kohli if they want to stay with him for long time because  he is also human not machine suddenly change of fortune is not new but still time to consider few things.

I don't agree with this. IMO, it is better to have Virat Kohli as the captain for all the three formats. If they have three different captains, then once again the players will be divided in to different camps, just like the case we had a few years back. Then, the players were divided in to two camps - one lead by Virat Kohli and the other led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I don't want a repeat of this.

This game is slowly going out of India's hand. Iyer was my last hope and now he is out. I do not think Jadeja will be able to take control of this situation. Only tailenders left.

NZ will win the series if they win this match.

If they win the match, and thereby the series, then it will be a big upset. Especially after the 0-5 whitewash during the T20 series. But Jadeja is still there, and the required rate is still under 7 runs per over. The Indians would still be fancying their chances. Just to add here, the Indian tailenders are capable of batting a bit (especially Shardul Thakur and and Yuzvendra Chahal).
4923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 08, 2020, 08:20:40 AM
The New Zealand captain called in James Neesham to bowl. Now I would say that this is a master stroke from Tom Latham, because Neesham can be very economical during the middle overs. The strategy is to bowl as tight as they can and force the Indian batsmen (Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja) to a mishit. And this strategy has worked now, with Shreyas Iyer nicking a ball from Hamish Bennett to the keeper.
4924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 08, 2020, 08:11:47 AM
Look like India will lose today. They middle order collapse badly today. Shreyas Iyer is looking good at 45 and if he can take India home with the tail enders then we can blame Newzealand again for losing the match which could have been easily Won. Anyways its unlikely to happen and India may face unexpected defeat today.

As long as Ravindra Jadeja is there, Indians will be hopeful of a recovery. Because he has rescued them in many similar situations before. Also, Tim Southee has completed his 10 overs and the New Zealand captain has called in Hamish Bennett (who conceded 26 runs from his 3 overs earlier). But Kyle Jamieson still has 4 overs remaining with him. And Indian batsmen really struggled against Jamieson.
4925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 08, 2020, 07:54:54 AM
Too many twists and turns in this match. At one point, it looked as if New Zealand would struggle to make a total of even 200. But they managed 273/8 (thanks to some fine batting by Jamieson and Taylor during the final overs). But the Indian batsmen seems to be struggling against the Kiwi bowlers, which was entirely unexpected. This is a team which is capable of chasing targets in excess of 350 with ease.
Sure there are many twist and turns in this match, i was expecting India to chase this score but now they lost 4 wickets already and now struggling. If India wants to reach the total the partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Kedar Kadhav is important and they have the opportunity to play a career changing innings and take India home and this is the only solid batsman and hence a good partnership is needed as India still need 198 runs to win.

Kedar Jadhav needed to play a good innings as he has been in horrible form for a very long time. And he got out just a few minutes back, after making 9 runs from 27 balls. I don't understand why this guy is still in the team, when the management never show such largess on younger players such as Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan. For heaven's sake he is 35 years old. Why can't the selectors kick him out of the team?
4926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies are highly undervalued these days? on: February 08, 2020, 07:21:09 AM
If you look at the technology, the cryptocurrencies backed up with the best technology include Cardano, NEO, IOTA and EOS. Unfortunately, these are the coins that went down the most in 2018-19. So I would say that this group of coins look under-priced to me. But that said, I can't guarantee any future bull run with any of these coins. From what I have seen, the interest has waned for them, and the development has also been negatively impacted.

4928  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus and The Effect on The Markets on: February 08, 2020, 05:32:12 AM
It can be said that is something that happened by chance because there is even an analysis that says the corona virus has a bad influence on the crypto market which occurred a few days ago which resulted in a declining price. Of course this corona virus has a bad impact on the Chinese economy but not the crypto market.

Declining prices? Which prices are you talking about? I have checked the charts for the past two weeks and there has been an increase in the exchange rates for Bitcoin. Are you talking about the altcoins? But the altcoins have also gone up in value. And some of the alts such as Ethereum and Litecoin had a larger spike when compared to that of Bitcoin.
4929  Economy / Economics / Re: Justin Sun gifted Warren Buffett bitcoin and tron on: February 08, 2020, 05:19:49 AM
I am rapidly losing my respect for Justin Sun. I don't understand what did he achieved by gifting $4 million to Warren Buffet. He essentially gifted this huge amount, to some of the most rabid opponents of Bitcoin. Mr. Buffet is never going to refuse the free money. He will just take the coins and then dump them in the market to convert them to fiat. And after that, as usual he will resume his tirade against cryptocurrency.
He tries how to get bigger market with bitcoin and specially with his altcoin TRX, maybe when you looking many people lost much money for advertising did your mind why waste much money for ads, but its the most effective way how to promote bitcoin and altcoin to bigger investor and several months later his coin will be on the top price.

I can understand. But why Warren Buffet? Why not someone like Bill Gates or Richard Branson? Even Michael Bloomberg  or Elon Musk would have been a better choice. Buffet is known to be a fierce critic of Bitcoin and no amount of money from Sun is going to change that. As a proud Bitcoiner, it is hard for me to digest Justin Sun spending the money he earned from the TRX ICO on Warren Buffet.
4930  Economy / Economics / Re: agriculture and bitcoin on: February 08, 2020, 05:12:04 AM
Well, Russia is a country with above average acceptance of Bitcoin. You can bargain with your suppliers (for fertilizer and pesticide) and request them to accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment. Apart from Bitcoin, you can implement the Blockchain technology to track the incoming supplies and the delivery of farm products to the whole sale dealers. I think already we have several Blockchain applications for that purpose.

Epic Collapse, Wow

From 140/1 to 187/7  tells the all the story.

Every now and then, we need to give a few shocks to the Indian players to remind them that they are still human and prone to loses. This is what happened during the first match. Especially after the series victory during the T20 series, the players became a little bit overconfident. The outcome of the first match showed them their rightful place.
4933  Economy / Economics / Re: INFLATION IN THE UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES on: February 08, 2020, 04:22:12 AM
Developed nations don't want underdeveloped nations to be really developed, they want underdeveloped nations to keep depending on them, this way developed nations make more money by flexing on their natural resources in return for aid as a bribe to ensure their leaders maintain the status quo. This world economy is not balance you need to be ruthless and clever to beat their game.

It is true to a certain extent. The former colonial powers don't like strong leaders coming from the developing nations. Whenever such a leader emerge, they will try to topple him, or if that is not possible then they will finish him off. This has happened to people such as Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso and Patrice Lumumba of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

@JSRAW that’s a good decision from team India as they’ll know exactly how much they need to chase, and we all know that Virat loves chasing the target hence he’ll relish this opportunity to chase it down and win it. However I’ll agree with you that Sharadul should have been benched for this match and it’s indeed a bold a decision from Virat, and @Vishnu.Reang though your point is valid I felt he could have given him a chance later on as this was the series decider.

Virat Kohli is a very aggressive captain and he has made some unexpected decisions in the team selection earlier as well. But so far, things are going well for India. New Zealand has been restricted to less than 6 runs per over (124/1 after 22 overs). At this rate, New Zealand would end up somewhere around 300, and given the batting friendly conditions it is going to be a cakewalk for India.

^^ Speaking of PCB and their fuckery. I failed to understand that why didn't they include Fawad Alam in Playing XI? As far as i heard he's very solid opener. Is Misbah making his life miserable in the squad or its something else?

This article may partly explain the reason (warning - it is a few months old):

https://www.dawn.com/news/1519527/why-fawad-alam-has-been-frozen-out-of-pakistan-squads

Quote
This unwritten rule, however, is for the normal folks. There exists a select group of players who no captain, no head coach and no chief selector will dare touch — because in doing so, they risk opening a can of worms better left unattended. Fawad Alam is from that unfortunate group. And so is Tabish Khan — also from Karachi — but we'll save him for some other time.

For me, it looks like reasons other than cricket played a part in his exclusion from the squad. Anyway, the Pakistan bowlers managed to restrict Bangladesh to just 233, thanks to the combination of Shaheen Shah/Naseem Shah/Yasir Shah.
4936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 08, 2020, 03:07:00 AM
Or they are afraid to lose from Pakistan  ?

This is not a valid argument, because India has beaten Pakistan in all the recent matches between the two sides (including the one between the two teams during the 2019 Cricket World Cup). Also, a few days back India had decisively defeated Pakistan during the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. The current Indian team is among the world's best and I don't think that they are afraid of facing Pakistan. So the refusal to tour Pakistan has purely to do with politics.

I do not get this point. When Indian team is so strong and they have beaten / can beat Pakistan easily, whats wrong in playing with them ?

India Play Pakistan, Beat them and dominate more. Isn't this make sense even politically ?  By not playing, they will gain nothing.

The political situation in India has changed completely during the last 10-15 years. Fed up with the UPA 2 government (2009-14), the people voted nationalist NDA to power in 2014. They won by an even bigger majority in 2019. The average person living in India is becoming more right wing. At this point, it will be suicidal for the government to allow the Indian team to tour Pakistan.

2nd ODI NZ vs IND

India opt to ball today after winning the toss. Virat always surprise me with his playing XI, he rested shami and filled in Saini as 3rd seamer. I was expecting shardul thakur to sit out today instead of shami as this game is important if Virat wants to level the odi series.

Shardul Thakur was not doing well in the recent matches, and Kohli probably wanted to reassure him that he has his captain's trust. The decision to rest Shami was appreciable. He looks overworked and resting him for a few matches is necessary to keep him fully fit for the upcoming bilateral tours. Anyway, Saini is a promising bowler and he also benefits from opportunities such as this one.
4938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa, Ethereum breaks the $200 barrier on: February 07, 2020, 08:52:17 AM
The first thing I look out for, whenever I see coins like Ethereum surge, is the dominance of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is gradually losing its dominance. It is reducing and that is a sign that altcoins are growing independent of the influence Bitcoin. I can, therefore, agree that Ethreum is growing and that might be a good sign of what is expected.

You are misinterpreting the stats. It is true that the Bitcoin dominance has come down from 67% to 64%. But the reason for that is not the spike with Ethereum. Most of the market share was captured by the forked coins such as BCH and BSV. If you check the price of these coins, you can see that they have gone up by almost 300% during the past few weeks.
4939  Economy / Economics / Re: INFLATION IN THE UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES on: February 07, 2020, 08:33:55 AM
The world economy keeps crashing with many incidence of inflation. What is happening at the moment is  a clear indication of a world that has failed the minority. Although the underdeveloped countries could partly be blamed for the high inflation that exists in their respective economies. Would things turn around for good  if underdeveloped countries start to add value to their natural resources themselves without selling to the countries with good economy?

These things are very easy to say, but extremely difficult to implement. First of all, innovative technology is patented. The scientists and researchers from the developed nations have the patent to most of the technologies and the developing nations can't really steal them. They can develop their own substitutes, which some of the countries are already doing (China, India.etc).
4940  Economy / Economics / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON CHINA ECONOMY on: February 07, 2020, 08:26:37 AM
Did anyone checked the revelation made by Tencent yesterday? In their website, they claimed that the real death toll was around 25,000 and more than 300,000 were infected. They deleted the page within a few minutes and claimed that someone had hacked in to their website and posted a fake article. But I am having doubts that this is more in line with the real toll from the virus.
