actually it's good to see some movimentation on this thread.
apart from all the discussion if SHARD is a scam or not

are there any plans on listing it on a real exchange again?

are there places for people to sell SHARD?
if yes, where?

4943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stablecoins on: July 06, 2020, 09:30:35 PM
Here's where a stablecoins comes in. Now, presume he sells $1,000 worth of BTC for a stablecoin that I issue. The stablecoin is $1. Now assume the price of BTC drops by 50%.
That means, he can buy 50% more satoshis with the same $1,000, but since I don't have any BTC reserves, how can guarantee the "stableness" of the coin?
100% not 50%

This stable coin is a scam. You cannot create money out of thin air.
Your stable coins must be backed by your reserves.
In simple words, when you issue 1000 dollar worth of stable coins, you must keep 1000 real dollar in reserve.

there are stable coins in the market like USDT, DAI and USDC that have been audited and are proved to be good options if someone wants to have tokenized dollar reserves

it's even possible to earn some compound on that using CeFi or DeFi:

4944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Poker Tournaments" are reopening little by little. on: July 06, 2020, 09:27:22 PM
Regarding to adopting the new normal, physical casinos are now very strict. Those who want to gamble will have to wait before the first one to gamble run out of money and those who don't want to play but wanted to stay on the casino will be sent to outside and won't be able to go inside unless they want to gamble. Obvious choice for physical casinos is to have a feature whwre gamblers can also gamble virtually.
definitely, pandemic accelerated this process for many businnes, moving to digital is now inevitable.
probably all big casinos will end up entering this market too at some point.

thismay not be the last pandemic, we never know.
4945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: July 06, 2020, 09:25:07 PM
The negative trends is continuing those days. LTC investment plunged again but also BTC investors continued to lose their funds. Hard days for us investors by lucky whales Sad

patience.
we can't take conclusions about the crypto markets observing the short term trend
it's wise to be patient and use an strategy focused on medium/long term than being in a rush and losing money.
4946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POW] [XHV] Haven Protocol - untraceable payments x stable value storage on: July 06, 2020, 09:23:07 PM
do we have any estimated dates for the new wallet? will this come with the launch later in July?
would be great to know that
4947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can online gambling help to kickstart the global economy? on: July 05, 2020, 08:52:50 PM
add a 10% tax or volunteer donation from all online gambling transactions that must go to projects of UBI to end poverty and help people in really difficult conditions.

that would definitely help.
I don't think the value added 10% tax would help at all since it will be shouldered to the employees and the people who wants to play will be affected too since somehow there is an increase of payment to play. Did you ever imagine that would happen? And since we are in pandemic it's a burden already plus adding prices or taxes might be the reason to collapse the gambling company/industry.

collapse the gambling company/industry seems a bit exagerated.
it's a billionaire market.

have you checket Yang's proposal on UBI? in essence it's exactly what I said.

OP asked how to use gambling to help the world
this is a way
4948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 05, 2020, 06:51:04 PM
The difference with Hillary was that she was in front almost all the time. She had odds of winning of around 1.4 and still she lost.
Who will win this year, will probably depend heavily on how the Corona crisis evolves and right now it is not in Trump's favour. I am betting on Biden but I keep it low stake.

I would rather say that Biden is in a much stronger position right now, compared to Hillary four years back. Between 2016 and 2020, political preferences across the United States have changed, and more so in some of the crucial swing states such as Arizona, rust belt states, Virginia, North Carolina.etc. And the bad news for Trump is that none of these changes are beneficial for him.

any information on how's Trump propaganda on social media lately?
last election with Cambridge Analytica and all the facebook situation he had a good boost because of it.

good that slowly the people start to wake up.

Pô, ninguém me avisa?

I can't see a reason why there should be a new thread. We can discuss, devs can talk about the project, there's no drama...

because the links on the main thread all point to old social media and old websites, not up-to-date at all
isn't it already enough reason?

organizing is the first step for evolving faster and reaching more people.
4959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learnt so far, my advices for newbies. on: June 29, 2020, 12:29:53 PM
definitely bitcointalk is not for the lazy ones.
it takes a lot of effort to rank up here.

the main thing comes down to providing value.
giving and giving and giving before asking.

like in most of things in life: patience and hard-work pays off.

A BIG WARNING here! STAY AWAY from Binance Free Accounts! At some points, they will freeze your assets and force you to provide KYC. THis happened to me! This Exchange is not serious at all!
based on my chat with Binance support, frozen account or assets happen because you account got security issue or something else made your account detected unusual. This case can be a good information for all of binance user, especially who don't want to passed KYC. Thank you for sharing, i hope you can get your money back.

sometimes they could freeze it for higher deposits/trades than normal so it's better to stay away if you want to trade without KYC.
any exchanges do something like that with free accounts.

there's a lot of room for DEXs to grow.
