In addition to what OP posted, there are similar  websites out there that promised to pay btc when you watch dozen of videos on their website and refer friends, it's disappointing at the end after wasting your monthly data subscription on videos without getting paid.
It was down on me when I noticed the videos were actually linked to YouTube channel to gain views.
There is nothing like free money or bitcoin, you either work for it infom of service or invest your own money for it.
The point is, so many people are connected and use the web but simply don't understand how the internet works especially when it comes to traffic generation and monetization of platforms. Hence, they fall victim to cheap scam.
4942  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How my bitcoins were nailed down in my grandfather's garage. on: August 09, 2020, 11:35:20 PM
Wow! You know I actually have a very awkward feeling about your story. I don't know if I should be remorseful or I should laugh. It's really a lose but then, you only invested quite little, maybe mind it just for the fun of it or was just testing new waters but then, it is what it is and unrecoverable maybe. A lot of persons might share same feelings as you with regards to lost private keys, wallets and all that. It also the beauty of the game, getting your stuff together and keeping it safe. That's supposing your story is possible and true by the way. Nice of you to share.
4943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Boosting Morale for newbies. Giving newbie a merit. on: August 09, 2020, 07:50:45 PM
I've been keen and watching out for replies from newbies and the few have seen to reply haven't hit me up just yet. I wanted to drop a post link of my own but the part that talked about what it felt like to have your first merit got me paused. I'm looking to merit someone myself so, you guys just got to apply with the best post and let's know your content.

Question.
A crypto trader @LoyceV
That doesn't sound like me.

Quote
He purchased a total of 313.63 CTSI in trading pair of BTC/CTSI at an initial price of 0.00044BTC
Consider my account compromised if I start buying shitcoins.
Lol, I'm sure he/she didn't mean it literally, perhaps your one of his role models in this room hence, your forum user was the closest to pump on his/her mind for making that illustration. I'm sure you understand.
For me, I would have loved a bit more explanation on what the parameters indicates and not just what it means because, as it is, the calculation seems straight to the point but I still don't it's application. It's a nice thread though.
4945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INTRODUCTION TO CHART FOR NEWBIES on: August 07, 2020, 03:49:00 AM
Most persons haven't gone in to trading just because, they don't have or understand the basis such as explained in this op. It's a fine and self explanatory one I give you that.
At least now, some of us won't be so confused on what happens in the market place anymore.

4947  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for a BC noob please on: August 06, 2020, 04:55:13 PM
Seeing a link on TV doesn't really verify the links authenticity, most of these media channels has a disclaimer on almost every advert they run for several companies and organizations embedded in there policy hence, it's always up to you.
For you to be asking means you know almost nothing of the link (https://gordon-ramsay-kitch.myshopify.com/products/grcop) and it's a step in the right direction. In my opinion, try to find out more on the link if it could be trusted before transferring your BTC.
Else, in general, converting BTC to it's equivalent Fiat is possible. You've just got to transfer your BTC to a trusted peer to peer escrow site that supports it's trade based in your country, follow necessary procedures, sell it and get paid directly to your local bank account.
4948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why there are too many topics related to Crypto Scams here? on: August 05, 2020, 08:26:07 PM
Threads on scam sensitization seems to be on the rise due to the rate at which this scams increase and it's by the day. You never know who the next victim would be and so, the more alarms are been raised on a regular on the course hence, the proximity of a prospective victim becoming conscious of these scheme is possible. It might seem a similar topic but different content.
Although, a lot of us especially the newbies, jr.member and some lower ranks has found a lot of comfort here that we forget other sections of this forum, probably because we find it more easier to post or creates threads here. It's made a lot of persons forget that there is also a lot of activity in learning and many technicalities that plays out in the cryptosphere is treated properly in these other fields which is a major part as to our being here. I doubt a lot of us don't visit these other sections, once we come online, boom, Beginners and help. A common saying goes that, wise people talk less, which entails a lot of observation and learning. Sometimes, we've just got to learn more and let go posting just to fulfill a responsibility we feel to owe ourselves or the forum. We are all here to archive something but we've got to learn first. Hence, comments like this;

| comment 2 |LeGaulois|
Is going to be common than we expect it to be. The quest to be relevant or make a difference remains the drive but, it shouldn't be abused by posting just for the fact that we feel like it. Make it count.

4951  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAMMING AS AN OPTION/ADVICE TO SCAMMERS on: August 04, 2020, 01:21:12 PM
For scammers, it's never too late, start somewhere and be sure that you've got a lot of helping hands here. Get yourself a some models, study them, get motivated and inspired and your sure to improve in every aspect of your finance and life. Put in work!
Ps: Nice thread by the way but please next time avoid capitalizing all your words (as seen with your title). It might discourage some forum members from reading your thread.
Noted on the caps lock thing, that's why we've got this community. We might not know ourselves, come from different countries and have our individual differences but when it comes to bitcointalkforum, we are one community and I'm most glad we all accept that fact, judging from the willingness of forum members to polish each members to ensure they show their shine. It's most notable and welcome. My gratitude is to you all.
Again for the scammers, it's seriously annoying what is been done to the prospective victims and what they are made to go through. There might just be too much worth attached to that which is been taken from them. Living a life of insecurity and not having to be at peace with what you acquire isn't fun to me and there is too much uncertainty in the scam schemes. There is nothing more appealing to a clear conscience and a peaceful mindset. Try it and your sure to enjoy life at it's best.
4952  Other / Beginners & Help / Scamming as an option/Advice to scammers on: August 03, 2020, 09:46:17 PM
SCAM AND SCAMMING
This is a fraudulent or deceptive attempt to rob an individual or corporate organization of it's valuables including information. Scamming seems like a growing and trending field amongst youths and some adults of many nations. Scammers especially those who use the web as their domain uses the anonymity which the web provides to perpetuate a lot of evil and there is no limit to  that which they can do. The question is, are they truly anonymous? My best guess is NO.
Today, scamming has taken several forms which often lives the victims in dismay. A person who engages in scam oriented activities is called a scammer. The question is,
WHY DO THEY SCAM?
Scammers are intellectual and smart people who has let laziness and insecurity get the better part of them. Hence, they get involve in scam oriented activities for various self comforting reasons. Some of these reasons are:
*They rely on the government of their nation to provide all that they need.
*They feel that due to their geographical location, background and resources, they aren't given equal opportunity.
*They have a taste for luxury and quick wealth which takes time, hard work and a lot of patience to attain, all of which they aren't sure they posses.
*They look out for a reason to apportion blame and a shoulder to cry on.
*They feel the world has been unfair to their situation and could have done more as to their liberation.
For these and many other reasons, they find moral justification to scam.

FORMS SCAM/SCAMMING ASSUMES
Most scamming activities are done over the web and are basically based on the acquisition of either of these two; personal information of value and money but for various reasons from threatening to finance but often ends in finance (either in Bitcoin, Altcoin or actual currency notes) and they assume these forms to act or perpetuate this act(scam):
1. INVESTMENT; scammers of Bitcoin and Altcoin prioritize in scamming those with a particular need to earn huge or acquire quick money at no cost in no time. It is a very risky venture as scammers present these opportunities in a rather appealing form with little or no risk taking. Hence, they prey on your enthusiasm to get hold of quick cash.
2. UNEXPECTED GIVEAWAYS; most persons enjoys give aways because it's often free but this is not often the case. Scammers has strategized a way in which, you are required to give a little token either in form of fee or information of value, they even go as far as tricking you to have won yourself a fortune and is required of certain task to speed up the acquisition process to access that which is kept in bulk for you and frauds you in the process.
3. FAKE SITES AND CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS; scammers create sites that looks closely like the original or an entirely different site with various testimonies from users that are likely them or their agents to boost your trust and confidence in their system or platform. Hence, you access and operate the platform, giving them informations of value through which, they fraud you of your investment, abuse your generosity and commits crime with your identity.
4. DATING AND ROMANCE; Due to the need to feel loved or have a romantic partner, a lot of individuals get involved in online and distance relationships with strangers. Scammers has prioritized on this and prey on the vulnerable and play with victims emotions by pretending to be prospective partners to the victims they meet on dating sites and social medias, move them to a less monitored and secured platform like hangout and telegram to perpetuate their scam oriented schemes.
5. BUYING AND SELLING; scammers project a product or project to the market and expect you to pay upfront before product delivery, they buy products with your personal acquired smart card details, sell your identity and fraud your customers with your details.

SCAMMING AS AN OPTION
Scammers are very rampant in almost every field of endeavors these days. A good number of scammers and scam oriented activities operates over the web as internet fraudster. This is morally wrong and can't be justified under any context. Putting yourself in the victims shoes might just give you a light as to how they feel to have been scammed. Sometimes, it's not about the value of what is been lost but the trust and relationship that have been built with the scammer. It feels really awful to be hurt emotional, robbed of your personal information/privacy and of your heart earned fund and investment. This has led most victims to seek the easy way out not excluding death. Scamming may seem more like an option for frustrated persons but the real question is;
*Is it the right option?
*Is it an option your proud of and morally justified?
*Do you feel secured as a scammer?

In my opinion, the answer to all the above question is NO! If so, why not stop and redirect your energy towards a more legitimate, positive, engaging and rewarding activity/lifestyle that you would be proud of and feel rather secured doing! For a fact, scamming is way more difficult than you care to imagine or notice. First, you get the necessary gadgets while being alert for updates, you target a prospective and vulnerable victim after careful studying, you get to be steady online, sometimes work with a crew, always on the lookout for loopholes so as to elude security operatives, gain the trust of your supposed victim, get then to move to a less monitored and secured platform like hangout and telegram, convince him/her to buy into your ideas and invest in your platform, your work time depends on their spare time and lots of stuffs like that. The worst of it is that, very few people fall into these tricks today. Isn't it rather stressful?
These energy can be used to put in work in a more legitimate field of life especially within this forum and your sure to ripe that which you seek.
Have you taken a look at the bounty section of this group, it's filled with projects and opportunities capable of boosting your finance. Though, it takes time, dedication and a lot of patience but, your sure to arrive and the best part is, it is secured, you learn, get experienced and it's for life. So long as you abide by forum rules and regulations.

MY ADVICE TO ALL, ESPECIALLY NEWBIES.
No one is too experienced to fall into some of these scam oriented schemes, be smart and play safe. Don't just believe,  invest and hand over your personal information without proper investigation on the individual and platform you  intend to invest with. Apply a lot of caution, you'll need it. For scammers, it's never too late, start somewhere and be sure that  you've got a lot of helping hands here. Get yourself a some models, study them, get motivated and inspired and your sure to improve in every aspect of your finance and life. Put in work!
Stay safe.

4955  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: August 02, 2020, 09:22:37 AM
Science always postulates theories of how life began in our water bodies, where elements combined to form proteins and later unicellular cells to bring forth life under controlled atmospheric conditions over millions of years and later multicellular cells to breath forth life and mutation sets in, followed by laws of segregation and so forth.
Yet, with all this knowledge even to the extent of the particulate elements to form the basic cells and controlled variables to simulate the described natural environmental conditions necessary to produce this life forms, have not been able to bring forth life.

Lose money trading.
This is a funny one and what a funny way to put it.
But then, it seems quite engaging, even making your free time beneficial. For you learn out of every lose. It's okay.
I guess I just watch movies, listen to music and sometimes play soccer.

4959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What or how does it feels to grow in rank?! on: August 02, 2020, 08:33:58 AM
For me growing rank up in this forum is really very very hard because no one is going to send you merit's freely.
I mean no one is going to send  you merit without any  good effort from you.
For a fact, nothing good comes easy! Else, non of us would have loved to struggle over anything. You just have to know that we are our own competition, we have to compete with our lazy self everyday, the part of us that always makes us feel as though we can't level up with the others, as if we can't get it right. The part that says others had an edge over you and so they got it easier. So it might always seem but then, they made use of the available information and resources at their disposal which was quite limited not like we have enough now but it's okay. We just have to flow with the tides we find ourselves in.
Keep testifying and get motivated.
