4941  Other / Meta / Re: Farms of account sellers in the Russian branch "Off-topic" on: April 04, 2020, 11:46:33 AM
Hello @Alex_Sr,

If you have some spare time could you please look at account farms in these threads?

The Relictum Pro one was looked at pretty thoroughly in a thread by Rikafip, but I'm certain there are newer farms in the IndexChain and possible other threads. Thanks.
4942  Economy / Reputation / Re: Another ANN bumping group+ Interesting merit transfers on: April 04, 2020, 11:41:52 AM
I'm adding the other accounts that received the majority (if not all) of their merits from Basorexia, and obtained exactly the right amount of merits to rank up:

cryptogod322 (10 merits) - 6 from Basorexia, 4 from Pastrana
Stasonelison (10 merits) - 5 from Pastrana, 4 from Drugs?
Hellkas (10 merits) - 9 from Pastrana
Kiid (10 merits) - 9 from Basorexia

-cryptogod322 connected through participation in Relictum Pro bounty
-Kiid posted in Relictum Pro thread

It should also be noted that the 38 merits sent to Pastrana by Basorexia was the exact amount of merits needed for them to become a Full Member (100).

Here are some lower-level accounts all participating in the Trustee Wallet Russian signature bounty that received most (if not all) of their merits from Basorexia or Pastrana:

donatello345 - 1 merit from Pastrana
sovkysom39 - 1 merit from Basorexia (on day of joining campaign)
cryptogod322 - 6 from Basorexia, 4 from Pastrana
Stasonelison - 5 from Pastrana, 4 from Drugs?
truehider - 5 from Basorexia

Then there's a who 'nother farm in the IndexChain thread... looks like there was a lot of merit purchasing going on from MalReynolds (who was negged for merit selling a while back). I'm getting a bit tired and I have to go back to work so I asked Alex_Sr if he could take a look at it, because he is good at this stuff.

I'm going to take a day or two before I do any tagging. Sometimes its better to let things digest before acting.

And a biological attack from a 3rd party has the potential to instigate that doesn't it?

What evidence do you have that this was a "biological attack"?

Accounts
Pastrana

I noticed something fishy about this account a while back, too.

On March 20, account cryptogod322 made a lackluster post in the WO thread, for which he received 4 merits from Pastrana (not a WO regular):

In less than two months, Bitcoin will be halved.
What do you think will be the same trend as with other currencies before and after halving?
For example LTC. Before halving, the price will rise and after it will immediately collapse.
How likely is this scenario?

To which I replied:

This is the wrong thread to be meriting your alt accounts in, sonny.

I thought maybe that was his first post in the WO, but I was wrong, he had one 2 days earlier for which he received 6 merits from Basorexia:

Guys who have any thoughts on technical analysis?
Who is in what position?
After analyzing tradingview, I was able to come to a single conclusion. Now, many traders recommend generally refraining from transactions, but the volatility in% ratio is not bad, I would even say good, and this should be used.
It seems to me that behind all these "problems", many traders generally moved away from trading.
What are yall thoughts?
I am more inclined to short positions, I can also send here my thoughts to tradingview, strangely enough my ideas were supported by a large number of traders.

Its not the worst post to be meriting, but the fact that this user was sent exactly 10 merits in 2 days (in order to reach Member status) is kind of bizarre.

So where else has cryptogod322 been posting? Well, he joined the Relictum Pro bounty, for one.

This user received 30 merits from Basorexia and was banned a few days ago. He opened this thread, which received 10 merits from Basorexia and 3 merits from Oprah. There appears to be many, many more accounts involved in this farm. They likely all belong to the same person, and thus are all ban evading.
4945  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: April 04, 2020, 06:03:24 AM
New:
   20. Hero Member be.open (Trust: +1 / =1 / -5) (328 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

I just don't understand. Previously, everyone ru DT1 who added a user be.open to the trust list, get ~.
And now he's back in DT1. So what was the point of all this fighting with other people's trust lists? Then why be.open isn't on the blacklist for DT1? Couldn't anybody alert theymos about this?

Its also bad form for DT1s to be including this user, and subsequently other DT1s for including people that include them.

By that I am talking about DT1s who have included 3meek or fzkto (which is incidentally only 3meek).

A biological attack is a likely opening salvo of an open kinetic war.

What evidence do you have that this was a "biological attack"?

Hey OP,

I had a hard time verifying your team's identities. Outside of your website and the said LinkedIn profiles i couldn't find anything, as if they don't exist.

I'm particularly interested to know more about AZBI's founder - Michael Wang?

Do those two pictures look like wax figures or perhaps he's wearing a mask or something?

Oh man. That's hilarious. They believe this actually looks like a real person?

Watch, next thing you know, it will actually be a real person suffering from some kind of skin ailment, and I'll look like an asshole.

Either way, project is a complete scam.

Edit: I found some images for a couple more team members of this project.

WARNING

There is yet another Scam Accusation against this exchange.

Potential customers are encouraged to use extreme caution when dealing with Coinsbit.

They have a long-standing history of selectively scamming their users.

I encourage an actual representative from the exchange to attempt to resolve this matter with their customer by responding in the Scam Accusation thread.
4950  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinsbit.io has taken all my funds without any explanation, looks like SCAM on: April 03, 2020, 09:13:37 AM
The flag created against Coinsbit is here.

I have supported it for now in hopes that after it is active, they notice it and work with you to recover your funds. I will post a link to this thread in their main thread.

If the physician is the least bit established, most office visit claims are processed as "clean claims," meaning they are automatically processed. They don't have to "fight the insurance company" or "chase reimbursement." They submit the claim and receive payment for it with no questions asked.

Well, I think you previously said that you worked in this field. I don't wanna argue with you. But I gotta ask - for every one of you, how many doctors?

Which kinda gets to my point. Decades ago, when you went to the doctor, you saw the goddammned _doctor_. He (all right, only occasionally she) had the bandwidth to deal with your medical issues, and do the billing. Because It consisted of simply sending an invoice.

Today? I dunno. But I'd be unsurprised if I learned that there are four billing specialists for every fucking MD on the planet.

That's a lot of unhelpful mouths to feed.

You're a bit off in the terminology here. Medical billers are hired by physicians and hospitals to file their claims for them -- they are paid directly by the physician or hospital. Claims examiners are those who work for the insurance companies and process the claims submitted by the medical billers. I've worked on both sides of the equation, and indeed it is overburdened with personnel on both sides.

Hey, I'm all for a Public Option when it comes to healthcare insurance. As I said earlier there's a lot of middlemen that could be cut out of the equation if the system wasn't capitalistically incentivized. It would also weed out the doctors who are motivated solely by profit and don't give a shit about the actual welfare of their patients.

Pretty scummy. They are totally capitalizing off CoinMarketCap's April Fool's joke.

YoBit truly has no shame.
4953  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: April 03, 2020, 07:07:46 AM
Flat out bad advice to not buy a face mask.

The best arguments against wearing the mask I've seen come down to: "well, it doesn't stop the virus completely, so might as well not wear one."

This is just nonsense. Whatever precautions can be taken to slow down the transmission of the virus should be taken. Probably the best evidence for why masks should be worn is looking at the infection rates for mask wearing versus non-mask wearing countries.

Why masks lower COVID-19 deaths

Quote
Masks aid in decreasing COVID-19's virality by three pathways.

- Decreasing virus spread by infected individuals. The mask traps virus particles on the inside, preventing the virus particles becoming airborne. Protect others.
- Decreasing new infections by uninfected individuals. The mask prevents airborne virus particles being inhaled from the outside. Protect yourself.
- Limiting hand to face contact. The mask puts a physical barrier between potentially contaminated hands and passages to one's lungs.

Now, you can say this information is incorrect and just propaganda set forth by "big mask," or you could just use common sense in realizing that putting _any_ sort of physical shield (even a piece of bread) in front of your mouth and nose slows down transmission of airborn particles that might otherwise enter those orifices.

Where I live, wearing a mask outside is absolutely required. Even if its just a cloth mask or a bandana, you _must_ have one, as something is absolutely better than nothing. And its just a courtesy to others to stop your phlegm, mucous and spit from shooting freely into the open.

slight correction

if you pay in cash he will gladly take the $80 as his staff doesn't have to fight the insurance company for it for it

Why would you think that?

If the bill says $120, you're on the hook for $120 w/o insurance.

'round these parts, most docs I've asked for a cash discount have responded affirmatively.

Why? Because they don't have to pay the clerical staff to spend the time chasing reimbursement. It's a very real savings to them.

If the physician is the least bit established, most office visit claims are processed as "clean claims," meaning they are automatically processed. They don't have to "fight the insurance company" or "chase reimbursement." They submit the claim and receive payment for it with no questions asked.

Of course if you are willing to pay the amount in cash that would otherwise be reimbursed to them by the insurance company, then yes I can see how they would rather just have the cash, makes sense. Most Americans aren't in a position to be able to do this. That's why they have insurance.

If you _don't_ have insurance and end up at the hospital for some sort of cancer removal and an extended stay, your bill could easily run into the hundreds of thousands, and you will be on the hook for every penny.

Hospitals are willing to work on payment plans for their patients, as they'd rather get something than nothing, but the simpler solution is to just have health insurance. Even if its just medicare or medicaid.

Sometimes a hospital bill will be $200k but the maximum reimbursement from an insurance company is $15k. The charge is high not because the stay, supplies, and procedures were that costly. Its because they are trying to milk the uninsured.

pro tip

negotiate a cash fee ahead of time

I have done this, it is a real thing.

I don't know if ALL doctors have a separate cash schedule, but many do, it pays to ask.

Probably some good 'ol boy doctors do it, and they'd rather have cash-in-hand than an IOU. On the flipside, I've had to write collections letters to specialty drug patients whose insurance lapsed for $60,000.

Weekly Jobless Claims Rise to 6.6 Million

6.6M people without insurance in the US.
Good.
What could possibly go wrong?

Pretty much anybody who is unemployed can file for state medicaid insurance (public insurance). When I quit my last job I got it. Of course my doctor at the time refused to see me as a patient anymore, because medicaid claims paid out like $20 less per office visit than sweet private insurance...
