4941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lowering transaction fees will promote the use of bitcoin and adaptability? on: January 28, 2019, 03:27:28 PM
2/3 of the Bitcoin's transactions were related to trading activities and not for its real uses. People aren't really spending bitcoins because it has lower Tx fees because, as mentioned by the dudes above, the TXs fees are already low and it's difficult to make lower fees than banks since (for example SEPA) it costs zero.
"Investors" is a broad word, real investors aren't (much) into Bitcoin.
4942  Local / Hors-sujet / Re: Les banques font encore ca? on: January 28, 2019, 03:12:00 PM
@JohnUser

4943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The first fiat to crypto conversion! on: January 28, 2019, 12:40:37 PM
This has been posted all over the forum already...

Your title is not even true. Binance isn't the first exchange with fiat>>crypto. You just woke up, or you don't know how to see beyond your nose.
Institutional players aren't coming into the crypto market, it's the opposite. Most tokens are overvalued because of people speculating (without knowing in what they're investing in...)
4944  Local / Hors-sujet / Re: Les banques font encore ca? on: January 28, 2019, 11:17:05 AM

4946  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold exist 1000+ years. while bitcoins exist 10 years. on: January 27, 2019, 01:24:57 PM
Gold exist for over a 1000+ years maybe? Bitcoin only 10 years. Also the internet existed about 25+ years. Bitcoin price is higher than gold by over 200%. I think the value of Bitcoin is going to sky rocket once again. When technology gets more advance n the Bitcoin system upgrades. Just another speculation.

Gold is old as the earth, you're probably confused with the anime cartoons you watch? Bitcoin is higher than gold? that's a stupid comparison but let me follow your logic

Audi A6 Quattro is higher than the Bitcoin price so its price will skyrocket once again. Damn! Why I didn't buy one before! Thank you for your economic advice!
4947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questions to BTC Holders 2011 And Before on: January 27, 2019, 01:03:04 PM
So with Mtgox, you mean send funds from paypal to mtgox?  Like if you are making a purchase similar to ebay purchase?

What do you mean liberty reserve and dwolla?

So was it pretty easy to buy btc back then based on what you described?  Because if its paypal, that seems simple.  But do most ppl just keep the btc in mtgox back then?  Or did they have their own wallet?  So if you wanted to sell btc, you could do it via mtgox and get paid via paypal similar to how you pay for it?

Yes a lot of people were storing their bitcoins on MtGox since they trusted this exchange (it doesn't change in 2019 lol).
Liberty  Reserve was a payment processor, its story is long you didn't have to verify your account, it was popular to use it for scammers, especially HYIPs (admin-victims). The site has been sized suddenly by The US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Reserve and they arrested the owner in Europe. This news was all over the world for some weeks/months
Dwolla is for Americans citizens to make ACH transfers (a legit biz.)
4948  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: January 27, 2019, 12:44:50 PM

Thanks. So it's a known thing; I'll just wait it out then. I do wonder why they prefer to do it manually.

Old school method. Cron can be super lazy in case of server crash/failure and don't execute the jobs missed
4949  Economy / Economics / Re: What's it like to live on crypto instead of Banks? on: January 26, 2019, 10:21:43 PM
Imagine living your life without depending on Banks ever again. Using only cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, you can make your own income stream and use the coins earned to buy stuff from merchants who accept them. Every day, cryptocurrencies have been going closer towards full mainstream adoption. However, there are still some things which prevent crypto from being used over traditional payment systems we've been accustomed to for a long time.

Nonetheless, what's it like to live only on crypto instead central-bank issued fiat money? Cheesy
What you said is really happen to me I never use bank eversince I discover Cryptocurrency because in my mind I think you having wallet of bitcoin or other coin is good to save your funds. And you can detect your own funds in your wallet so I will say that as we people we can live with crypto. It depending to us being individual to how manage it.

Explain to me how are you paying your house, bills, etc Do you go to the supermarket with your wallet and say to the cashier "hold on, I am waiting for the confirmation"...
Oh man, I am also able to "detect my funds" when it hits my bank account, don't worry. Nothing to be jealous of.
Sometimes when I read people in the economics section there are a lot of people I wonder if they have a bank account, ever pay taxes, it makes me think the majority is living in their parent's house.
4950  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project Shamba : Starting a small farm in 2019 on: January 26, 2019, 09:03:18 PM
Good luck with your farm.
Don't share only the good things, share also where you struggled what problem did you face, etc...

However, I have a question:
How that come you're getting a 0.03$USD/kWh rate "tabarnak"
4951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please DON'T pay any taxes on your crypto! on: January 26, 2019, 05:27:13 PM
Your post shows the ignorance -snip-

“Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves.”
― Henry David Thoreau

I don't think he was purposely ignorant, those are just views of somebody that was given a chance to have and make them in to reality. That was the whole point of crypto wasn't it? To give us true financial independence. No one can be ostracized for utilizing that built in feature of cryptocurrency's technology.

“Quod timet servit.” (those in fear are slaves)
―Seneca the Younger

This brave fellow is just saying what you all* are only dreaming of!
Some members above already have implied and actively called for group responsibility...
You know that this is one way ticket, one way ticket to world totalitarian government, called nwo.

People don't want to pay taxes but want a free hospital, free school, free house, free food, free everything and even get money from the govt. but still, complain.
If someone pays himself the hospital (a birth cost +$30,000 in total btw) and everything then he will be entitled to say, no taxes
4952  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin maximalist or extremist. what are you? on: January 26, 2019, 03:40:37 PM
Be sure that if cryptos are massively adopted, 90% of the altcoins will be gone in a coffin. We will have perhaps 20 coins used and each for different purposes (depending on your needs, perhaps your govt/location too). For example a coin for a fast transaction, a coin for privacy, etc.

Bitcoin is and will always be the king, however, there is a slot for the queen  Grin
4953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please DON'T pay any taxes on your crypto! on: January 26, 2019, 11:20:42 AM
OP may have no idea what it can cost to cheat the taxes department, if he is ok to pay a fine or go to jail then that's cool, but personally no thanks, I have better to do and responsibilities. OP is surely not a tax eligible person.

Yes sure, they can't know what wallet you own and where and bla bla bla. But did you forget then they do have access to your bank activities? Are you aware than bank accounts owned by the crypto exchanges are well know from the authorities?

I know in less than 5 years we will see some waves of threads from people crying they got busted and they're now in troubles.
Yes some people say they never paid any penny for the taxes, but don't forget the governments are still watching the industry to know how to tax it (assets, income, ...) it's inevitable that after this they will tax as others gain you may have and some countries are already doing it. If you think your governments will let you make money without getting their share, you're wrong.

Also, I would like to add, you may cheat the system for a while, but they will always come to you soon or later.
4954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any free trading bots out there? on: January 26, 2019, 10:35:27 AM
Nobody will give you that worth it is free. I tried them and I do not advise to listen to them
That is truth. I will not like what will put money in my pocket to be free.  I learned how to trade in hard way and I have bought some bots for both forex and binary options and I know how much I have lose.  I think you should develop your skills on how to trade professionally instead of looking for bots for free.

Professional traders also use bots for their activity.

I don't know much about these kinds of bots but generally speaking, you get what you paid for. (and it doesn't apply only to buying a bot btw). Learning how to make one can be a solution but it takes time to learn and sometimes a lot of stress. In some cases, or for some people, it may be better and time saving to purchase one directly.

A few days ago while reading Darkstar_'s posts I came across one of his posts feedback about a bot (R.A.T). I've read the topic and the price was 0.01 BTC, I found it not expensive at all, it's like $35. I'm even thinking of buying one, even if I'm not an active trader, but just for fun.

Quote
....If governments continue to become desperate for cash...
You wanted to say "if governments continue to become more strict

I don't think it's fair how the big firms are cheating millions by evading their taxes for exemple. Surely I will have fewer taxes to pay if everyone is fair (not cheating, etc) because I am paying for the cheaters.
Europe is currently waking up against those 'Pro-taxes-evasion' to make the system fair for everyone, no matter if you are citizens, entrepreneurs.
4956  Local / Hors-sujet / Re: Les banques font encore ca? on: January 25, 2019, 03:02:33 PM
Yaplatu, tu dois pas avoir d'argent donc tu peux pas comprendre. Et la derniere source que tu cites, le mec a trop regarder le reportage sur youtube au sujet des billets de 500€

4957  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-19]Why ‘Mainstream Adoption’ Is an Unfair Success Metric for Dapps on: January 25, 2019, 12:34:22 AM
All you do is copy-pasting content from coindesk, RT, etc and coming on the forum to 'spam' your website. Your blog adds no value.. All your posts are for the purpose to get traffic from the forum. You don't care about it. You have no interest to create a discussion, nor to participate in. You probably don't even read the replies
4958  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which exchanges use proper security? on: January 25, 2019, 12:08:00 AM
It's a matter of how much millions they spend to protect their system. And continuiously... Or they will end up as a target soon or later. I can't find the post but crypto exchanges still need to make a lot of efforts to improve their security, sometimes it's a matter of basics things.
I found this yesterday or so, on my loal board

4959  Other / Meta / Re: What if someone is wrongfully banned for plagiarism? on: January 24, 2019, 11:36:39 PM
they will check the "date" , very easy to determine who  posted first.
Yeah, It's easier to determine who posted first but if someone instead just decides to edit his older blog or site, it wouldn't be easy, would it?

Yes. This actually already happened once. Someone got “framed” for plagirism and theymos found out, so he reversed the ban. I’ll tru to find the post and link it here for you.
Okay, that's good to know if the ban can be reviewed in such circumstances

Click right>>>check the source code, can tell you a few things, especially with WordPress. Google cache and archive.org too.
And if someone edit a 20 years old blog post to replace it with a bitcoin-related content, it"s easy to guess something is wrong, or the guy travelled in the future, got a Nostradamus illumination, ...
4960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questions to BTC Holders 2011 And Before on: January 24, 2019, 10:49:57 PM
On MtGox, you could deposit money via Paypal and credit card. After they added bank transfers, Liberty reserve and Dwolla. After the Liberty Reserve scandal, they removed it and replaced with Paxum(?) and then Okpay.
I had given bitcoins to users on a forum just as a Christmas gift. I don't see them anymore so they must be rich now. Cheesy
