What if someone is wrongfully banned for plagiarism?

So I have been thinking.
What if some wrong character just decided to malice a user in the forum by going back to one of his blogs or websites and updating the contents to make it look like a user from the forum had plagiarised from his blog/website and then come back to the forum and report the user for plagiarism... user gets wrongfully banned.

my questions are;
1. What has been put in place to avoid this kind of scenario from happening?
2. If the user got wrongfully banned, is there a chance that the ban can be reversed?

they will check the "date" , very easy to determine who  posted first.

in some cases even dates are not important, some things are just too obvious.

There is not much. But I’m pretty sure mods check for that on most cases.

Just a few months ago someone was banned for plagiarism, but after a more thorough investigation it was determined he had only made a mistake while quoting someone else's post.  That account was restored.  It happens, some one might be wrongly accused, but the account can be un-banned.

That exact scenario happened with chimk, and he was unbanned after we found out. And although it was certainly a big mistake on our part to have banned him in the first place, the person who framed him did in in a pretty sophisticated way, and his case was exacerbated by the language barrier (eg. we were unable to immediately determine whether he was a good poster or not).

Most cases of plagiarism I've seen are rather obvious. More importantly the worst offenders usually copy / paste multiple of their posts from various sources which makes them being "framed" rather unlikely.

It's good to know that ban reversals do happen when a plagiarism accusation turns out to be unfounded though.

Click right>>>check the source code, can tell you a few things, especially with WordPress. Google cache and archive.org too.
And if someone edit a 20 years old blog post to replace it with a bitcoin-related content, it"s easy to guess something is wrong, or the guy travelled in the future, got a Nostradamus illumination, ...

After investigation, and with help from the rest of the mod team, I've determined that inbizin = bitkoinguru$$$. He created that blog post (registering the domain in June) and then made that post in Meta in order to frame you. The moderator who actually did the banning was not a Russian moderator, but was acting upon what seemed to be a clear case of plagiarism. The thought of this type of attack had occurred to me before, but this is the first time that it's actually been done successfully. I'll have to think about countermeasures.

1. To quote or copy and paste other people's writings or sentences.

2. Using ideas, Altikers or other people's theories.

3. Using other people's facts (data, information).

4. Recognize other people's writing.

I explained to avoid plagiarism and sanctions in the future. The point and purpose are the same (plagiarism).

This is an alarming case but thanks to our good mods that analyzed the situation by their own first and do not just let the complainant influenced his decisions . From now on I will be more careful when quoting someone's post because I admit that I am careless sometimes when enclosing the quote (I'm not aware sometimes that I forgot to include brackets)

The issue here is about posts that are not copy/pasted but the user who made the posts gets framed for copy/pasting.

For example, you wrote these suggestions on how to avoid plagiarism:

1. To quote or copy and paste other people's writings or sentences.

3. Using other people's facts (data, information)....etc etc

Now, imagine someone makes a blog post and enters the exact same post in his/her blog and then comes here and claims that you copy/pasted your post from his blog! That is what the OP was trying to say.
