4941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Quiet Bounty Time on: March 23, 2020, 10:46:06 AM
Merit has also reduced participation by over 50%, as many many hunters had multiple accounts.
I believe coinlocket found one guy with over 1000 alt accounts
Thousands of accounts were being used as alt account from a single human owner to farm the bounty rewards. Thats why the DT members decide to negative trust every account which was detected to be cheating campaigns of being sold accounts. However merit did make it a stalemate for many such cheaters. Unable to rank up these account by shitposting they are now of no use since it is tough to earn merits just like that.

I think it is better this way. But the ICOs may find out new methods to kep bounty hunters still the forum is less plagued by such users.
4942  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan help on: March 22, 2020, 07:21:16 AM
My official university salary is 7200 UAH (263$) But this position is required for work in another enterprises, which has 400% profitability.
Get a job and then pay back your payday loan. For that you should go to a pawn shop who have a bunch of goons named Debt collectors to beat you up when you default the loan.

Quote
Create the online charity auction, which will be publicly supported for 6 months, but the'y don't offer the money wright now.
Kickstarter is not a bad option.

Quote
I hope for a good people, that can help, but not for ones that are ready to hang up for every cent just to have a big profit.
But here are probably no such, I found a wrong forum ...
Good people no longer exist if you have that mindset. If you are begging for money and not offering something as collateral then you will be publicly shamed. This is a business, there is no question of good or bad. Offer a valid collateral to get a loan. Cool

Quote
And yes, I have repeatedly lent money to people when I had it and that was $ 100 and $ 200 and $ 500 and I didn't know when they coming back. Often money was not returned. I was not impoverished, but enriched spiritually.
Stop lying. If you did that then you would have a good feedback score on that site or personally knowing these borrowers. You could leverage that to ask for a loan (<<read scam) from someone.
4943  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading. Where to start? on: March 22, 2020, 06:08:31 AM
The fact is that I always meet a fairly large amount of information that professional traders main type of earnings is margin trading, which gives a very large profit.
Margin trading takes up the bigger share if you compare it with spot trading. The outcome is bigger and thus is attracts a lot of people specially during times of high market movements. There is chance to make money in both ups and downs here.

Quote
But at the same time, everyone who reads such lines should understand that the professionalism of such traders should be at a great height, with a very large amount of knowledge and experience.
They are professionals here but you cannot deny that they wont have some sort of inside knowledge or that they are having a team monitoring the world news every now and then so they dont miss out on trades.

Quote
Margin trading makes it possible to use large amounts of capital for trading that a third party provides to the user, and you need to take into account the fact that it is almost like a kind of loan, non-payment of which leads to big problems.
Well that is the risk of margin trading. You have to use some money to be able to ask for a leverage and then use that to place the contracts.
4944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything could be gambling on: March 22, 2020, 06:02:43 AM
In an honest sense everything in life is a gamble. Just the risk is different. We are playing with chance in every aspect of life, just from the moment of being born from the womb to the tomb. Still we develop skills and try to game the system to our advantage.

The attitude to gamble comes from willingness to take the risk. This is something that anyone likes to do and thus gambling is an inherent nature of humans.

Whenever there is something at stake, and it is always there, it is a gamble. Now a sports game may have odds in favor of those who know the game and their expertise and not completely luck based.
4945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is altcoin season??? on: March 22, 2020, 05:59:16 AM
Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.
Bitcoin dominance is the percentage of bitcoin to altcoins in a market based on market capitalization. If you are talking in terms on a no-fiat usage then the statement is correct. But if there is fiat involved then the money increasing the portion of bitcoin is not coming from altcoins but total market cap will increase.

Quote
Bitcoin dominance decreases when more and more people sell BTC.
For altcoin precisely and not fiat.

Quote
So altcoins fate is purely depend on BTCs price reaction or altcoins are independent???
Altcoins could be independent if they are actually having something to develop and something has a market of its own to generate a demand/supply crisis so as to raise the price of that coin. This is generally not seen with all of the altcoin launched till date so the end result is that thy piggyback on the price of bitcoin.
4946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where ETH will go if it breaks down $80? on: March 22, 2020, 05:53:43 AM
Many traders and investors put trust in ETH.
Nah, those who bought it during the ICO were optimistic because it was the start of the ICO craze. They have sold at 1k USD and are now enjoying the money if possible. They bought it at <10$ during that period. Rest who have been holding all this time have been stupid.

Quote
But recently ETH performance is very bad, in every market crash, ETH has biggest fall.
It is a speculative asset. You cannot expect such an asset to always go up. Thats against the rules. Grin

Quote
Do you think ETH will be around $10-$15 again if its $80 support is broken?
It can even go back to 1$ if people are going to dump it in this badly stricken bear market. Be ready to stop trading for a while on altcoins. It is better to wait it out.
4947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is Bitcoin useful as a currency if so few services accept it? on: March 21, 2020, 06:18:32 AM
What I don't understand, and I haven't been able to find the answer to, is if I own some bitcoin, how does that help me buy groceries at the market, or gas for my car? The market I go to doesn't accept bitcoin and neither do the gas stations.
Bitcoin is also illegal to use in some countries. Check online to get list and if your country is among those then you are having no option at hand but to wait for th government to work out something.

Quote
If I can't do that, how is bitcoin worth anything to me?
Bitcoin is earned or gifted or minted. So someone had to buy that coin for being able to own that. Since it was sent to you, that moneytary value is your now.

If you mined that coin then the work done by your device to mine it is worth that coin.

Quote
Also, how are people supposedly getting rich with bitcoin?
By trading it and speculating its prices. Stop putting in third party links in between words.

Quote
I thought it was a currency, where we can buy things. Then I find that it's also a commodity where we can trade it.
Gold can be used as a currency and as a commodity. You can compare with bitcoin.

Quote
The fact that a single bitcoin was approximately equal to a few cents when it first came out, but now is worth tens of thousands, is very troubling.
In what sense? Compare this to any other asset which has grown in value over time and suddenly it is no longer troubling.
4948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management , how ? on: March 21, 2020, 06:12:22 AM
The most important things in risk management are working with errors and minimizing their consequences.
It is more in terms of how to manage risk and not how to evaluate losses based on errors. I think you got something wrong there. Correction of errors are for post-trading evaluation.

You manage risk by doing research on the projects you are investing in and their regular reports to keep track of their growth and development. Investors want a good quarterly report nothing more.

Quote
As a rule, errors occur most often due to psychological conditions, in other words, when you are emotionally involved in trading.
Errors cannot be judged like that. It is easy to judge them after committing them but not always possible to change the outcome when the event is actually occurring.

Quote
The first thing you should do in the process of your training in trading is to work with your emotional states, because it depends on him how your thinking will work, interruptions and mistakes, or clearly and harmoniously.
If a person is not emotionally well, why would they trade. Of course here comes the question of people who are trying to get rich quick and those who are professionally trading everyday.
4949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learn to play Dice on: March 21, 2020, 06:08:01 AM
Very right, even martingale strategy will only work for a certain amount of time and can't be trusted also to work all the time.
This thought process is wrong. Martingale is based on two assumptions to be profitable. One that bankroll is infinite and Second that outcome maximum value of the casino is also infinite. Both of these are false in reality. So martingale will end up as martinfail no matter how you do it unless you dont play any strategy.

Quote
You should know how to strategize on attacking this strategy. Because if you don't, the chance will pass before you know it. The strategies are simple but how you apply it is another thing.
Strategies dont work in EV- games. What you think for a short period of green streak to be a workign strategy is just because the simulation of such a play yields some greens and some reds, but the net outcome is a loss for the player. In EV- games you have to depend on your luck and just play with it.
4950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: March 21, 2020, 06:04:20 AM
decentralized is a little difficult to use, while centralized is easy to use. I think this is the only reason for which there is not much volume.
Usage difficulty is again subjective. Some advanced users are comfortable with the tits bits and like to use every option to vary their trades for the sake of experimentation. Though every UI seems difficult at the first time use, it grows on you with time.

Quote
You know how important the user interface is
Even with a poor interface a CEX can be run easily. BTCAlpha is a mediocre design exchange but it is enough to do the trades while going to Etherdelta for the first time will be hectic for the trader. These things get better with usage from that person and not important when comparing CEX with DEX. The bigger question is the trust issue of DEXs and shutting down of DEX on exit scams - what happens to the money which was on site's wallets then?
4951  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: March 20, 2020, 08:21:37 AM
I am also not interested to sell my bitcoins at this time until if there is a real need to sell for medical expenses or something like that.
Dont hesitate to sell some bitcoins for expenses. You should not compromise on investments vs necessities. The health always comes first because only if you are alive and healthy can you invest properly.

Quote
But I am seeing many of them were interested to buy bitcoins now in my friends' circle but myself neither tried to sell or buy at this time. Building a strategy form myself to recover from the profit loss for the past few hours.
If you have spare cash at hand and not drawing any money from any emergency fund then it can be a good time to buy coins at this time. People have sold to cover expenses so you have to be careful how much you spend but dont compromise like I said.

After every natural disaster make sure to keep 2-5% of daily earnings into an emergency funds or more if you are able to. These things are necessary to survive properly.
4952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling websites need to add self-control functionality! on: March 20, 2020, 08:18:54 AM
Maybe it's been useful for some and actually I once use that feature in my nitrogensports account, I prohibited myself from accessing the dice game because I always loss money on that game and it really work well, and that time I was afraid to create a new account as I don't want my main account to be compromise.
If you can stop yourself from accessing the account then you dont need to block your account.

The casino does not force a player to play. It is a service provided by the casino like any other service like a merchant. The habit of gambling is present in every human and thus it is important to control that. Casinos will always be there because running one is a flourishing business but self control comes from self and not by other people.

Of course the casinos provide a system to allow you to stop but in order to keep your hidden desires happy, it has been made in such a way that it is circumvent-able. So the bottom line is that you have to control yourself.
4953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanging altcoins for Gift card on: March 20, 2020, 08:11:57 AM
Believe me you aren't going to see a fair rate that's why I don't like exchanging gifts card to coins or vice versa, the rate is always too much, last time I used paxful I lost my card and never received any coin
You should complain to Paxful if they have any customer care system or any trust system. Otherwise post about this in the "Scam Accusations" section and you might see some help coming in from other users of this forum.

To the OP, I dont think there are too many merchants accepting altcoins directly. You can try using shapeshift after passing their KYC/AML and then using it to convert to bitcoin. You cannot expect to get every new ICO coin to be listed on every merchants payslip, but bitcoin has a higher chance of being there as well as the top 3-4 altcoins.
4954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying low selling high ain't always successful on: March 20, 2020, 08:09:17 AM
In fact, people trend to choose new coins because these are more profitable coins and people will be very interested when a new news comes out.
Compare it to the IPOs of stock market. They attract value from venture capitalists who will buy them at premium and then sell once they get listed. Its profitable but thing is that IPOs get listed at a specific time and there is no discussion of having to look out for an exchange to list them. ICOs get some bad points here if you compare.

Quote
However, in investment I often consider very carefully before deciding because not all new coins can increase prices well during this time and depend a lot on this market. Of course, if it were me, I would sell the old coin and choose a new coin because if the old coin cannot rise, you will continue to live in misery.
You should not think that a new coin is going to b big in future in this sector. This is because already the sectors are saturated and not being able to develop something that has an inherent market is common. It takes time to make a system popular enough for common people to use everyday and this wont happen in a 2year scheme.

Hence if you want to trade, do it with the older well established coins. Buying low and selling high is always going to work provided you are doing it properly.
4955  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - theyoungmillionaire u=1180530 on: March 19, 2020, 07:25:27 AM
Even if a thousand "Sorry for your loss" messages are posted here only the lender knows how sad and painful this process is.

Having to message your borrower once a while every week to remind that person of the repayment date and amount and slowly seeing the signs of life go away from their contact source is painful deep down. I know this because I was once a lender on another forum.

You cannot trust anybody on any site regardless of how well known or well trusted they are. You can only trust on collateral, though my intention is not to demean the lenders giving out non collateral loans because I know that people rarely come up with collateral and you have keep your business running.

It takes a few seconds for them to change their nature and whatever problem the borrower may have fallen into does not change the fact that they ghosted their lender. This is tough for a lender who is also has to do an internal conflict of being a stern loan shark and being compassionate to their borrower because they are the customer.

Flag supported.
4956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency trading with flash loans on: March 19, 2020, 07:17:47 AM
This kind of loan transaction is uncertain, because until now almost all lenders requires proof of properties as collateral including sign of contract so its new which is unfair to other company.
There are companies allowing you to get a loan with cryptocurrency as collateral. Maybe in future we will see companies giving bitcoin loans for fiat deposits as collateral just like the banking system does. People need these loans for trading so there is a market to develop on here.

why not try Margin Trading? You can borrow funds and you can trade more than the amount that you have on your account. It is a different concept but the results were the same. I haven't heard a crypto exchange that offers that kind of services but some wallets like NEXO offers loan services but it needs crypto collateral.
The OP did not respond but I think this was what they were asking for. Leverage trading and margin trading is what was could be made out from the OP. Even then a loan shark's loan to trade is also possible.

But the more secure option for a loan shark would be to ask the borrower to borrow from the broker, that is margin.
4957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH price, bears took control? on: March 19, 2020, 07:13:20 AM
Yes you are right but not totally right, how? Not only ETH is affected in this case, even Bitcoin was affected other good coins were also affected, so i see it as a thing associated with bear market, which is, when it sets in, hardly is any coin spared.
It is because bitcoin is the major source of money for buying and selling the altcoins. Entry of fiat is limited here and thus this association.

Quote
Furthermore, being the numbers 2 in the crypto market shows the team is doing something right.
This is a flawed opinion. The one you are seeing as number 2 or number 1 or whatever is because of the market price and volume. They are not an indicator of the usefulness or development of the coin.

Whether one coin will be worth buying in the future is questionable if there is a sudden increase in price as well. Though for ethereum maybe a mid term sell would be a good option. So for that this is a good time to buy and keep in stock. Same goes with bitcoin.
4958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: March 19, 2020, 07:09:32 AM
Playing gambling everyday is still good ,
Is it good or bad is a personal moral decision. Economic effects of gambling for long is bad and so are the health and social problems.

Quote
they have streotyping when we know a player play everyday and we think and judge them like addict but the true addict is they play everyday plus they using more money and they lend money to others too.
In that way no one can be declared as an addict. The points in favor of being an addict outweigh the the points against against it. Nobody wants to shame others by calling them an addict but the important thing is to identify your addiction and control it.

Quote
Vacation is really important to relax yourself.
This is debatable. Some people actually go on a vacation to gamble as a mode of entertainment. This is for the casual gamblers who are not addicts and doing it once a year for fun.
4959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: March 18, 2020, 06:57:25 AM
It is everyone's wish whether anyone plays or not. I myself have lost by playing, only one who has good luck can play. Everyone can try luck, if luck works, then keep going(playing)
The money earned is the member's to keep. How to spend it is their choice. Because many of the members here are also gamblers they are going to sign up on the casino and spend some money there. This should be a pretty normal phenomena because the person advertising it knows the pros and cons of using the casino and thus they are making a informed choice.

Bitcoin use is maximally on gambling and trading. Very less use in daily necessities like groceries and merchant payments. That can also correlate to campaign earnings being spent maximally on gambling.
4960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the new method of "Initial offering" this year? on: March 18, 2020, 06:49:41 AM
I mean does it really matter? Grin

There will always be a initial blah blah blah offering to offer to the hungry investors ready to give their money to scammers and allow them to buy lambos instead of investing their money in bitcoin for their own lambo. Blame them for being stupid, not the scammers because they know what they are doing since a long time now.

Just change the name of the system and fool the noobs who are wannabe get rick quick ones. Sucks to be those people who put in 100$ in a 100 projects and then expect 100x returns.
