4941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A BOLD player is considered a dangerous player at casinos and sportbooks. on: December 15, 2019, 09:52:31 AM
So he is dangerous on the fact that he might get successful bets and get massive amounts of money in the bankroll? Isn't that also a gamble by the casino itself? We all know that in every aspect of life, especially business, there are risks that you have to take, and the casino is risking that part of their business in exchange for the possible players' ability to win.

Thanks for sharing this info, I think this would be ideal for casino owners.
4942  Other / Meta / Re: [RELEASED] @mention notification bot - now with Telegram on: December 15, 2019, 08:44:27 AM
Telegram bot is not working. Is there a problem?
If you read the posts from the previous page, it’s most likely that the VPS where Maggiordomo is running has expired. And you can see in the second post of Piggy that it hasn’t been updated. The last parsed messages is 12/12/19.

I am also not getting any PM notifications in the last two days. Just noticed that another user replied and quoted one of my posts but I wasn't notified over PM. I am not sure if there are more quotes. Usually I get at least 2-3 PMs daily but in the last two days there hasn't been any notifications.
There’s a discussion on the old posts and I think it would benefit your thoughts with regards to what happened. I was surprised as well when I wasn’t receiving PM’s too.
4943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is a better alternative to Bitcoin and why not use it? on: December 15, 2019, 07:09:21 AM
The main reason I use Bitcoin more is that there’s more people using it and I doubt it’s going to be replaced by any other coin, much less DGB. I do not doubt the capabilities of other cryptocurrencies, but that's the truth; Bitcoin is still the best.

What exchanges are you talking about? The decentralized broker? I do think every cryptocurrency has potential growth and but not everyone accepts it though, unlike BTC.

Are you suggesting Holding it as well?
4944  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is your Android Wallet secure? Most of the 37 wallets should scare you! on: December 14, 2019, 08:43:46 AM
I only started the project and most wallets don't care cause users don't care yet. I expect many of the non-verifiable ones will slip into the verifiable section if people care.
The thing is if the companies behind it were to hear from the actual voices of their users, maybe they would. I doubt it would happen any time soon because I think they don't want someone making their programs open source, especially with the public. Is this the only reason why you started this project?

Once people care, wallets that remain non-verifiable turn more into red flags by my estimate. Also I intend to raise the bar once people move towards caring.
I do think that it would help your project if you conducted a mini-survey before visiting your site to see if users "care."

4946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decisions for a better life on: December 14, 2019, 06:13:56 AM
An addicted person would likely choose their habits, in which they are addicted to. There could be numerous reasons why he could be addicted to gambling or any addictive thing in the world, but one main reason is that it includes family. People who have been brought up in an environment where violence is shown, abusiveness, bad words, etc., people tend to look for other comforts. Those comforts lead to the addiction they have now.

There's no "career" in an addicted person because a career should be supporting the well-being of the person, not taking everything from the person. It's best to analyze why the person becomes like that instead of asking "what should you decide on?". It's sufficient that way, IMO.

Isn't that a little big 😂
That's already a 3x4 print out of the logo. A lot of excess white parts are just the problem but I think it's going to be okay when it's on display. What do you expect though? I could print you out a short bond paper sized layout too if you want :p
4948  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is your Android Wallet secure? Most of the 37 wallets should scare you! on: December 14, 2019, 03:29:32 AM
The title of this topic is clickbait. And I fell for it. Grin

Anyway, having been able to check your website, I like the idea and the method you how you did it in the methodology page [1] explains what you do and how you do it.

For an average user like myself, I tend to rely on other people's experience and their reviews on how the wallet is and if it's reputable to trust with your funds. Your website tends to answer some of those questions, and having only three verifiable wallets' suggestion on your end doesn't seem to explain a lot for me. In the end, I still chose to have a hardware wallet that I know I would be in control of.
4949  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Program - Give Hope To Everyone $1 Is A Big Thing For Them on: December 14, 2019, 02:45:46 AM
This is my update. I just got my print out of the Bitcointalk Charity Logo and this is going to be shown in some parts of the event. My next update would be the documentary of the actual event tomorrow. I have already given the donation for the organization to help them with the funds in the event. And after this is done, I'm going to send this tarpaulin to cabalism13 for his use.

Nobody interested? Almost a give away.
4951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto/Blockchain hype over? on: December 13, 2019, 06:57:49 AM
In general, hype doesn't last long like manufacturers, developers, and users would want to. It's always going to decline due to the interest of the masses. I agree with your view that not everything should be applied with blockchain technology, it's not an ideal situation for crypto users, but that's how the world works. Ever since the lowest of low, I think the hype has come back a little bit, and it caused the price to steady around $7000 level. But it's still in the short term. We should wait and see how it would turn out once it is happening or happened, the hype. I think it directly correlates to the price of BTC.
4952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Decentraland? on: December 13, 2019, 12:10:13 AM
Upon quick viewing of the website https://decentraland.org I have concluded that it's a type of Minecraft thing? Because you are going to build stuff. It's listed there a couple of key ideas:
  • Earn money from your creations
  • User controlled
  • Built by users
  • Rewarded creativity
  • Decentralized marketplace
Their main idea is to make your digital assets come to life by building. I don't know how they do it; it's just how I see it on their website. Everyone here should take a look.
4953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin scampany got rekt! on: December 12, 2019, 07:40:37 AM
Is it close to these on the links? I remember meeting someone that was scammed by something called Airbit Club.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3351894.20
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2135986.0

I don't know why people still get scammed and putting hard-earned money towards those kinds of things. They didn't even do their own research with that. I think almost everyone who has experienced something positive with regards to profiting or investing, they automatically think it's legit already, but the truth is, it's just a Ponzi scheme.

It's good that you didn't get scammed, OP. I hope no one would continue to be scammed to these kinds of tactics.
4954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: automated Crypto Trading - Results 7% profit after 1 month on: December 12, 2019, 05:02:32 AM
Sounds like a great idea! Really looking forward to it.
I hope you might as well get your Gunbot with regards to possibilities it could give you with automatic trading. I'm just fixing everything that I have for the run. I need to ready the balance as well in the account. I'm planning to use Bitmex as the exchange to be tested on. I think it would be fair to see the daily trades that it would have, and soon enough, it will show the results in a month, depending on the market and how Gunbot would play on the situation.
4955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: France to launch their own cryptocurrency on: December 12, 2019, 01:57:56 AM
Bro, how about we listen to what the guy said?
https://www.bis.org/review/r191204f.htm
Thank you for this. It's an informative read that gave me more information about the upcoming CBDC plans and what it could offer for consumers and private entities as well. With the wholesale and retail type of currency. I may have gotten out of topic thinking that I know what I'm talking about. Anyways, we still have to wait on the "positive externalities" and the "potentially negative externalities" with having CBDC.

Banks don't care, as long as it's a centralized system they can revert transactions anytime they want, that's how refunds have been working for half a century.
I have never thought about it that way. That's the advantage of that centralized system.
4956  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Program - Give Hope To Everyone $1 Is A Big Thing For Them on: December 11, 2019, 03:29:45 PM
Hey cabalism13,

My proposal would be after I'm finished with the print out (3 ft x 4 ft), and with the event, I would get to ship it to you. My events are on Dec. 15, and yours is on the 23rd, so I think we are fine. So you wouldn't have to print again and won't have to spend more money than you already have. Let me know if you agree with this.

You got me on the last song syndrome there, yahoo. I can't seem to stop thinking about the beat and the rhythm.  Cheesy
4957  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Program - Give Hope To Everyone $1 Is A Big Thing For Them on: December 11, 2019, 09:53:36 AM
I confirm that I received the funds from the charity wallet. It was given to me by cabalism13.

The total amount that I received is Php 6000. 37.5% of the amount accumulated this year.

So this would be my plan.

I would be helping an organization with this and their budget is Php 250 per person (Feed the City)  Php 250 per kid (Stand up for love). This would happen on December 15.

So they have two plans.
  • Feed the City
  • Stand Up for Love

For Feed the City:
  • They would be going around to give food and gifts to the homeless people
  • People who are roaming around
  • Budget: Php 2500

For Stand Up for Love (for kids):
  • It is an event where anyone could go into the venue (less fortunate) to have fun and games
  • There would be prizes for basic games
  • Entertainment (Magic Shows, Clown, etc)
  • Of course, food
  • Budget: Php 3000

The remaining would be used for printing tarpaulin that has the Bitcointalk Charity Logo [1] and other small expenses that may occur. I will update everyone here with the progress.
4958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: France to launch their own cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2019, 07:15:04 AM
That's the answer? Then I believe you too didn't get the whole "essence" of Bitcoin. No offense intended.
We all have different views on what it is. I understand. No offense is taken. It's just that "essence" for me is that it's a digital currency. I'm just waiting for your answer to that.

I like Bitcoin better. Cool
We could totally agree with that.  Cool

No, it's not a digital currency is a digital asset, big difference.
Hmm. We see it in a different way. It's okay. Digital Currency is money in the digital form right? That is used for the transaction. An asset could be considered as something of value that could add more value in the future. So we could agree that it's both a digital currency and a digital asset. Alright?

Fiat also takes the form of digital currency when you use your credit card but this thing is not a currency. And that's not just me saying is the BiS definition.
Understood. It's a bunch of numbers on a computer.

What does other “virtual currency” that bitcoin has?
Hmm, this is a deep one. What is snow but it's not rain?
I'm basing this on how Bitcoin was created. The solution to solving the double-spending issue. Resulting in the blockchain technology. That's what other virtual currency doesn't have (before). Now that there are central banks who want to use that kind of technology to create their own.
4959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: automated Crypto Trading - Results 7% profit after 1 month on: December 11, 2019, 01:54:25 AM
I'm planning to create a new thread for my results using Gunbot. Just like my previous thread in local board, I have included a couple of stuff that people may copy once they have acquired the same bot. Maybe people will be interested and possibly create their strategy with Gunbot. I will just update you guys with regard to the thread being created.
4960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: December 10, 2019, 11:57:12 PM
However, there can be other reasons as well. For example, you could engage in this activity for the purposes of better understanding how probabilities work or even your own mind under stressful conditions.

Ohh. You reminded me of one of my favorite things, checking my chances with different experimental parameters to hopefully beat the casino. It's like for science. Lol. That could be a possibility of why someone would gamble. Entertainment and Money is just the primary reasons to people choosing to gamble.

So let's face the somewhat troubling truth here. Many folks are in fact looking not so much for entertainment or personal enjoyment as for easy money. Whether this money will be easy and whether there'll be any money other than their own at all is another question, though (actually, two questions)
I don't see the question(s) here. What's your question?  Cheesy
