To be honest, gambling is very waste your money & time if you dont have luck ,
ive lost about 5000$ by gambling on crypto, because of addict, but after im realise that gambling is waste my gold time and money..
but i still play it when i want and feel lucky xD

Yes, the purpose is to lose money and have fun doing it (fun may include temporary wins too). In most forms of gambling it's impossible to make money so trying to make money would be a stupid purpose.

I probably wouldn't gamble if it weren't for the fact that I often have so much free time to myself. It's not very high up on my list of priorities and I typically go to do other things like work in my garden or other things before I go gamble online, but even though one of my primary goals with gambling is to get a win, another one is also just to pass the time too. It's a very engaging and fun activity and doesn't eat a huge chunk out of your wallet if you're not irresponsible with your spending.

Only needs are interrelated, they provide zones to facilitate gamblers, and I am happy to join them. They wrap it up as a business, and I welcome it because it is part of personal pleasure, there is no more specific and uncomplicated reason to think about anything else, challenges that are interconnected with rewards / profits (in gambling) make adrenaline good for mind health.

Logically speaking yes. The only reason you would want to gamble would be to win something, that's common sense. I don't know how else you could justify gambling logically. Gambling only makes sense when the reward is greater than the risk involved.

I don't know which alternate universe you come from but here in our universe losing money is no fun... Unless you come from the top 1% then I can see how it can be considered "fun" as a pastime... But to an average joe losing money is no fun. BTW Gambling always turns into addiction, just ask all those people on the streets who went homeless due to gambling.

- Gambling itself is a purpose to something bigger. No one just gambles for nothing. Even playing friendly poker during family gatherings has a purpose lol

For a gambler, they come first time in gambling because of curious. A gambler search for many games available on that website because they want to know how to play each of gambling games. After they know, they start to like one or two games and spend more time to know more about the games. They didn't have a main purpose in the beginning, but then after they get deep in gambling, their purpose change because they see that they have a chance to win much money. Some of them realize that to win in gambling, they need luck, but the other didn't know and still playing gambling.

I don't know if we need a reason for here because that could be different from one person to another person.

I don't want to gamble if I don't have time to waste because I think I will use that time to do something else. But so far, I still have more time to spend on many things, including to play gambling.

How I wish we can make easy money here, but the house edge is a big obstacles to make easy money, so better just make fun out of it, enjoy every game, every roll every bet, and if you are lucky, you can hit the right bet, and about your question.

Obviously we are here for a purpose, even if that's not a religious perspective but we just don't live for ourselves, pretty much most have a family which we need to take care of. But, I believe gambling as nothing more than a form of entertainment. I won't consider it anymore than watching a movie for which one needs to pay, both in terms of money and time. So if I had no time to waste, would I watch a movie? No. No exception for gambling either

I am gambling to make extra money in addition to my monthly income although I never rely on it as that much because I gambled for fun as a soccer enthusiast I like reading and analysing soccer games thus deploy my skills in betting and gambling on soccer matches while playing with the amount of money I can afford to lose so far I have made some money from it and I am going to continue gambling as far I am catching fun from it.

Other than those answers that are always present such as gaining profit, gaining excitement and fun, I think one other reason why people gamble is because of psychological issues they are encountering in their everyday lives. In this regard, those that are having depressions or having some heavy problems in mind could tend to play more and spend much time in gambling.

For example: because there are times you feel heart broken since you save some money for your future and your future wife left you. You feel down and need and don't have the reason on how you could use your money and to satisfy your loneliness you gamble and play.

Are you surely asking that? Gambling is for entertainment, nothing else. It may come as an excuse from people who are "trying" to cover up their obsession or addiction towards gambling games. It can be said that most people who gamble consider it as an opportunity, and that opportunity becomes the fuel to gamble continuously.

I wouldn't do that unless I want my offsprings to be without wealth or something related to that. I want to let them know the essence of money and how they should cherish how they have gotten it. The important thing for me in this life are values.

The main purpose of most of the gamblers right now is to make money. Making extra money using gambling to at least increase their income. But for me, I only gamble just for fun. I tend to enjoy playing than to stress myself and think that I need to earn money as much as I can.

Maybe some have a purpose why they gamble but I don't consider it as main. I also gamble just to make money but I don't expect too much, I don't let my mindset to think winnings cause I know gambling is purely depending on luck except on those skill-based games.
Some people are being attracted by gamblers because of the hype of big rewards or jackpot prizes that's why they also tend to gamble and try the chance to be one of the lucky winners.
And yes, I would still like to gamble if I have no time to waste in my life just to have fun and excitement and of course by using my extra money.

Could be a yes and a no. Yes, gambling offers a way to earn a quick buck, but it has never been a reliable way to earn money. You'd actually be losing more than what you earn. The way you take it entirely depends on how you actually want to earn.

Sides, most gamblers are actually there for the fun and thrill. Money is just kind of a side thing with most gamblers. A side profit. If they win then its fine, if they lose then its also fine. Not much difference either way.

It depends on the gambler, what their purpose for gambling actually is, but I think majority of gamblers gamble to make money, then the entertainment part comes second. People mostly gamble in areas they have interest in, and it helps them to follow and partake in their favorite sport/games and still gamble to try and make money from it.

For soccer lovers for example, if gambling didn't exist, they'll still watch soccer, follow their favorite teams and support them till the end. What gambling does for them is to try and test out their knowledge of prediction in the sport, to see if they can get some predictions correct and win some money. I personally enjoy soccer betting and I do so because I love the entertainment I get from soccer and also because it gives me an opportunity to try and make some money from it, and lastly because I do it responsibly.

I won’t deny that everytime I gamble I wish to make more money, but there was a time where I didn’t really care about making money. It was a dark phase of my life where I was gambling because of the thrill, though I used to get upset about loosing and to cure my mood I ended up gambling even more. @Lucasgabd not sure why you think people need to create spare time for gambling, because now we have online gambling sites which can be accessed anytime from anywhere.

It may be true for some people

However, there can be other reasons as well. For example, you could engage in this activity for the purposes of better understanding how probabilities work or even your own mind under stressful conditions. And I'm not even speaking of purely financial reasons that a lot of gamblers stick to

So let's face the somewhat troubling truth here. Many folks are in fact looking not so much for entertainment or personal enjoyment as for easy money. Whether this money will be easy and whether there'll be any money other than their own at all is another question, though (actually, two questions)
