4961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ziliqa vs cardano on: February 28, 2018, 12:18:17 PM
Ziliqa has more potential for big growth as Cardano is already very big. But this comes with increased risk as Cardano is more established. If you can't decide between them, then just buy both.
4962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs Bitcoincash on: February 28, 2018, 11:39:51 AM
I have some ETH in my wallet. And Currently, BCH is trading at $1200 while ETH is at $900. What is the future of BCH as its ATH was $3400.
Is it a good idea to convert few ETH to BCH?

Long term I think ETH is a better bet. But if you are talking about short-term trading, BCH can be quite volatile depending on mining difficulty... so it can certainly be a good coin for trading. It will go up and it will go down, so plenty of peaks and troughs to use.
4963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What countries people invest in ICOs? on: February 28, 2018, 10:02:10 AM
I want to know from what countries do people invest in ICOs? With the new regulations, do that many really still come from the US? China has also banned them. So where do all the investors come from? Thanks!

It is difficult to tell, as there is probably a lot of VPN use from banned countries. But now that a lot of ICOs have KYC requirements, that should in theory mean that it will change so there will be very few if any from the banned countries.
4964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple (XRP) ever go back to $3 again? Can it recover? on: February 27, 2018, 02:24:04 PM
It has dropped -75% from its peak value of $3.65

It hasn't really. It was never $3.65, that was the South Korean kimchi premium skewing the market. Outside Korea I don't think it really went above $3.
It has fallen fast, but this is partly because of the whole market fall and partly because South Korea is the biggest market, and so the FUD from the S Korean government affected XRP more than most.

Yes I think it will go well above $3 in future.
4965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: futures ETH on: February 27, 2018, 12:39:30 PM

Hello everyone. I am a new member. I am new to this market for a short time, I am intending to invest in ETH coin. Ask people to comment on it in the future. thank you

I think that ETH has a very bright future. There are competitors, but ETH has a huge market lead in the smart contract area.
The main issue with ETH at the moment is scalability. This should be at least partly addressed this year when ETH moves to a hybrid PoS system.
I think it is a very solid choice.
4966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose on: February 27, 2018, 12:19:10 PM
I wouldn't really go for any of them. If I had to pick one, probably Oyster Pearl. I don't know about the last one on the list.
4967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So low market cap is better for investment? on: February 27, 2018, 11:08:24 AM
So low market cap is better for investment?
It mean we dont have huge amount of coins ready for sell?

Not necessarily. A low market cap coin can certinaly be a hidden gem that no-one else knows about and will shoot up in value. But there is also a huge risk. One problem is that it is easy for pump and dump groups to manipulate the price of low cap coins, so beware sudden price moves. Another is that low transaction volume may give an artificial picture of what the coin is worth. The biggest risk is that the coin could just fade to $0.
Low cap is where the biggest % returns are, but also where the biggest risk is.
I think a good strategy is to have some high cap, some mid cap and some low cap coins.
4968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nucleus.Vision (NCASH) Hiden gem? on: February 27, 2018, 10:49:44 AM
It does look interesting, but I am often wary of coins that have gone up since ICO - I always expect them to fall sharply again. I'm not saying that this one will, but it is a common pattern as the market price is not yet really established.
4969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NEO coin is the best altcoin in 2018 on: February 27, 2018, 10:38:11 AM
I think it has a lot of potential and should have a great 2018. I do like the 'Chinese equivalent' coins, as this is obviously a huge market, which is often closed off to non-Chinese companies and products.
Technically it is probably better than Ethereum, but ETH does have a huge market lead. They can both do very well.
4970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple Vs NEO on: February 26, 2018, 02:01:52 PM
Hi all, Does anyone know who is controlling the Ripple and NEO?
But, According to the information I heard:
Ripple controlled Bank, Banker "Bankster",
Meanwhile, the NEO "Pro Chinese Government" coins are released china.
If they compete, which one wins? ...

The answer is that they don't compete, these are completely different projects with no overlap.
Ripple (XRP) is a fast transaction coin, with a target (at least initially) of the international banking sector.
NEO is much more akin to ETH; it is a smart contract system.
Personally I think they are both good .
4971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: February 26, 2018, 01:17:56 PM
I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

I think that now is a good time to invest in an ICO because we are in a bear market, and hopefully near the bottom. This means that demand for tokens at ICOs should be lower than usual, and if unsold tokens get burned you can get a higher stake than usual. Also if an ICO finishes and gets listed on exchanges towards the end of a bear market, then the whole market recovery should pull up the price of that new ICO token too.
So in terms of the whole market position at the moment, now is a good time.
4972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto has done for me! on: February 26, 2018, 01:02:05 PM
Just holding is profitable. Trading is definitely better if you are good at it, that way you can gain much higher returns. However for those who are not good at trading, it is better just to hold.
4973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is holding for 1 year considered short term or long term? on: February 23, 2018, 12:15:44 PM
Many many people say they are holding this, holding that for the "long term" but please tell me what exactly is your guys definition of "long term"?
For me, 1 year is considered long time. I began investing this January and I will hold one year and cash out everything January 2019. So by your definition, is this more short term or long term? Is 1 year enough time to see gains?  Huh

Everyone has their own perspective. I would say 1 year is very short-term. You are likely to see gains, but nowhere near as much as if you held for longer.
From a traders perspective though, even a few hours can seem long-term Smiley
4974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finding New AltCoins on: February 23, 2018, 12:04:42 PM
Hey! I'm relatively new to the crypto-currency world but was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to find altcoins that have just been released or are about to be released. I ask this because these ones are often the ones that can be most profitable (...as I hear). If anyone knew of any websites that showcase new coins that would be fantastic.
Thanks.

If you are looking to put some money into new projects, then the best time to do so is as early as possible at the ICO - so at the ICO pre-sale if there is one.
This would mean you'd need to track projects before they go live, so the announcements section on this forum (and bounties section to earn coins from new projects)... but you would need to have a look at some of the many websites that analyse upcoming ICOs. icobench for example.
4975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie in Altcoin discussion, Tips needed on: February 23, 2018, 11:53:04 AM
I'm pretty new to crypto, started messing around with it in January. I got a lucky hit and sold off for a gain of $300~ worth of bitcoin. Now, I'm trying to do a bit of research - a large part of that is which exchanges are better to use, for reliability and fees etc.

I've read a little bit about Segwit, and believe that's a big part of why BTC transaction fees have dropped from the $20 mark that they were at in December, but have also heard that some exchanges haven't implemented it.

Sorry if all of this sounds pretty noobish, currently I'm planning on taking the $300 gain and exchanging into fiat and/or altcoin(s). Also, what's the best wallet out there, currently? Not for long term holding, if I do go into a long term hold, I figure I'll do either a hardware or paper wallet.

Getting into crypto has been pretty fun so far, I'm enjoying messing around with it more than the gains from it, honestly

Thanks for any advice!

One tip regarding exchanges would be use the bigger, more reputable ones. There have been recent incidents at smaller exchanges where coins have been lost - notably Raiblocks/Nano and NEM. Another benefit of bigger exchanges is that prices are more stable. If you see a coin that has gained say 50% in a day, but only has very small trading volume and is only on small exchanges, then I would advise against buying as those prices might not really be what you can achieve in practise.
4976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long vs. Short: Bitcoin and Alts on: February 23, 2018, 11:40:55 AM
Hey guys, which do you guys think is the most favourable coins for long and short trading strategies for the remainder of 2018?

Opinions, please!

NEO might be a good long-term bet. ETH and BTC would also be good, but might not see the same returns.
Short-term advice would vary from day to day. At the moment Nano is doing well against a falling market.
4977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will the winners look like in the next 5 years? on: February 23, 2018, 11:30:24 AM
It's between speed vs. decentralization. Which coin will be adopted by most? Many say it's in the top 20 already we have still decided what we're going to use as THE PROTOCOL coin. Educated opinions welcomed.

I think it's more complex than that. There isn't one all-purpose coin that can be used for everything. For examples in the top 5, ETH and XRP are completely different projects with completely different use cases.
I do think a fast payments coin will be big, very probably XRP the winner. At least one smart contract coin will be big, probably ETH. But there are way more uses and coins to suit them - IoT for example will likely have really taken off by then, so Iota or a competitor. DAG projects such as Raiblocks/Nano could well be big, Hashgraph might be viable, and on and on.
4978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your trading plan? on: February 22, 2018, 08:29:50 PM
What are the strategies that you use for take more profit whether you are in short term trading or long term trading ?

I sometimes take some profit when I think a bull market is coming to an end. If you time it right you can take some money out, keep some as cash and reinvest the rest when the market falls so that you end up with the same amount of crypto you started with, plus the difference in fiat.
4979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: February 22, 2018, 03:44:16 PM
What would be your target price of Ethereum for 2022?

I expect that ETH in 2022 will be a household name, and that smart contracts will be a part of everyday life. And the price should have risen accordingly, but very difficult to put a $ estimate on this as it is hard even to predict the next day in crypto.
4980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram's 2nd secret Pre-ICO sale! on: February 22, 2018, 03:33:50 PM
Yes, a link and proof would be great, thanks.
Telegram is certainly being used a lot in cryptos now, largely for bounties and airdrops, but is also a good communication tool in general.
