I haven’t seen much from Roobet since their issues with giving away supercars and people complaining about how that went down. For a minute when Stevewilldoit and 69 were promoting it heavy on YouTube with their RooTeamSix videos I thought Roobet was on top. Are they still doing giveaways and promoting on social media? It seems like Stake stepped in and stole the crown with not only Roo’s previous social media sponsors but even went a step further with Drake. Is Roobet still growing at all?

With the giga press being delivered to the newly constructed Texas facility, it’s only a matter of time now until Tesla is able to produce the most innovative vehicle since the Model T. Such a massive engineering advancement, only forward thinking individuals can even grasp what innovation is occurring. The article goes into a bit of detail about what a beast of a machine the giga press is. This was the final piece of the puzzle for the Texas factory and they’re now expecting production to only be a few months away. They have so many preorders though, I think a realistic date for myself to be behind the wheel of one of these beauties is probably late 2024.

4963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zero KYC tolerance gambling platforms on: October 19, 2022, 09:40:32 PM
Is KYC verification very important to crypto gambling websites or this has something to do with their regulations rule? Where can one gamble with zero verification requirements?

I think that pretty much every industry would rather not have to deal with regulations if given the choice. It takes their time and costs them money to develop solutions. Not to mention additional staff to enforce these solutions. So I doubt they do it because they like to go through additional steps to run their businesses. You have to be legal if you want to stay in business though, so it is what it is.
4964  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BEWARE of FAKE CASASCIUS COINS on: October 19, 2022, 09:28:47 PM
How much longer do we have to wait to hear about this new Casascius threat? There are still people selling them here so a delay could end up costing members of the community greatly. I’d hate for more people to get ripped off as a result of a delay is propagating information. So share the information and we can all be on alert for great deals that may not be so great in reality.

I will check in to this.

@Mike Caldwell, man, please post this on your website. I know you’ve probably got your reasons for not doing so, but the truth is you’re literally going to end up costing people countless dollars by not doing so.

Please be mindful that people still use your website all the time. You left your sales live for the aluminum coins for I believe at least a couple years. I sent you a payment for a bag. I knew you had shut down, but figured maybe you were still selling those. I remember thinking “I’ll buy a bag, and if I don’t get one it’s whatever it’s only $60 (rough estimate of .39BTC at the time. That was now a $7,500 mistake. It’s completely my fault and should have reach out to you before and after, but I was dumb and lazy at the time. I have to imagine you got notified when sales were made. Your address generator, payment submission etc was still fully operational at the time.

My point here is please be more mindful of other people. I know you’re wealthy beyond your wildest dreams and are sick of this hobby etc, but that shouldn’t mean you can’t help out a little.

I don’t think Mike owes anybody anything. They were cheaply made coins in the beginning which are now worth a great deal so common sense should point towards fakes being available at some point. What concerns me now is that apparently people are aware of fakes being made widely available but are sitting on the “details” for weeks. I’d be very careful of buying Casascius coins at the moment, especially from alt accounts of the effected users…

I still haven’t seen any real info about this recent threat, so what should Mike even post?  As far as I’m aware the alibaba fakes are distinguishable from the originals. Has this changed? Why delay on providing info? Something smells fishy to me.
4965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2022, 09:20:29 PM
Well, it seems that they are back on the drawing board again because coach Ham is still having some hard time drawing the right plan for the team. Although it's too early too say because the season have just started but Lakers won't reach far if they will continue with that kind of play.
I missed the opening and I've already seen a lot of disappointment from many fans on what the Lakers did. Yeah, it's still the start and they didn't go well against the GSW but it's better for them to do better for their next match as these little losses add up until they're close to the playoffs. But amazingly, I've taken a look at Russ' numbers and they're impressive.
Tomorrow, they're up to match again to the other Los Angeles, the Clippers. Maybe, they'll do better against them and will retrieve and redeem themselves back.

I don’t think the Lakers looked that bad. Their shots just weren’t falling and they were playing against the champs. I am excited to watch the battle of Los Angeles tomorrow. John Wall & Kawhi Leonard playing together with Paul George is like the most injured players ever finally all seeing the court at once. It’s a must watch on TNT as who know how many games those 3 will play together healthy.

I am disappointed I won’t be able to watch the Nets big 3 and Zion’s debut tonight. That game should’ve been picked up by ESPN.
4966  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: October 19, 2022, 07:48:12 PM
I don’t think anyone is planning to use a cybertruck as a boat. It’s just a cool feature that shows once again how far ahead of the competition Tesla is. What I do think it will be good for is situations where a little water can leave you stranded or at the risk of paying high fees. Where I live it isn’t uncommon for roads to be impassable in heavy rainstorms because the roads weren’t meant to handle drainage well due to the lack of rain year round. They even have a law called the stupid motorist law for vehicles that get stuck in washed out roads.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stupid_motorist_law

With a cybertruck, not only will this law not be a concern to your pocketbook, but not being stranded may save the lives of your family in an emergency. If Elon’s trolling you too hard with this latest proclamation, just wait til he starts touting it’s ability to handle bioweapon attacks. Smiley

Golden State Warriors vs LA Lakers
123 - 109

Golden State Warriors are fun to watch. The way they execute their plays and the way the ball is rotating; the execution is just perfect. Poole and Wiggins showed the crowed why they deserve that contract extension. They came in balling tonight.

on the other hand

The Lakers are just a mess right now, especially in the third quarter. There is no defense, and the offense is totally nowhere to be found. Their plays are a mess. It is just the first game but we already see that there is a lot to fix in this team in order to be competitive again. If they play weaker teams, they will be alright but against a well-organized team with good chemistry, they will surely struggle.

That’s pretty much what I was expecting to see. With Jordan Poole coming out of nowhere playing at the level he is it really makes Golden State nearly unbeatable. They won’t be able to afford to pay all their guys much longer though.

I thought the Lakers looked alright in the second half. They had a nice run at the end when shots started falling. They just shot terribly most of the game. If they can figure out a way to get Hield or another long range shooter I think they’d be alright.

76ers/Warriors for the bettors. Smiley
If you bet on the 76ers, you lose because the Celtics won by 9 points.
Tatum and Brown scored both 35 points while the trio of Harden, Embiid and Maxey scored 35, 26 and 21 respectively.

I did a quick look on the NBA website, and I saw that all of 76er's starters played at least 33 minutes. I don't know if it's just me, but Coach Doc didn't utilize those bench players that much in this game. Joe Mazulla now got his first win as a head coach and it's a good start for them.

Still waiting for GSW-Lakers. I just hope that Westbrook will not get any bash after this game Cheesy.

Ya, the Celtics played much better than I expected them too. I thought the drama with their coach and hangover from losing the Finals would affect them but they immediately came out swinging. The 76ers actually played better than I expected but the Celtics were on fire.

I’m glad Chuck is defending Westbrook, who is having a great game. The Lakers just don’t play well together. They look a little better with Nunn and Beverly but they’re missing something. It just seems like they don’t really want to win.
4969  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is lying now part of human nature? on: October 19, 2022, 12:52:14 AM
I always thought you’re better off telling the truth because wasting your mental energy on trying to remember lies isn’t a good use of your time. Plus if you get caught in a lie it’s awkward. I’ve found people appreciate the truth and hearing bad news can actually increase your trust for the person telling you.

I am shocked at the amount of lying done by officials lately. Covid for example was such a widespread lie to get people to take an ineffective vaccine. Now the White House is lying about us being in a recession. I’m honestly surprised by the blatant lies. I guess if people were smarter then lies wouldn’t be so effective and maybe wouldn’t be such an important role in liberal politics.
4970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2022, 12:47:51 AM
Really looking forward to seeing the Warriors and Lakers, but I suspect that Golden State will be leaving with the W.

I think the Lakers will have a chance to beat the Warriors if LeBron, Davis, and Westbrook play tonight. It's worth noting that the status of those 3 players is probably. Despite the fact that they will likely play tonight, it's not good for the Lakers in any case because key players already have minor injuries, even though the regular season hasn't even started yet.

I think they’ll all play. Even “Street Clothes” (Anthony Davis). I don’t think they’ve all played together in enough games to be able to handle the champs though. They just aren’t there yet.

How about that move by Harden that broke Marcus Smart’s ankles and sent him flying across the court? Probably won’t make the highlights because he missed the shot horribly, but other than a few airballs Harden is playing great. Looks like he’s trying to prove he’s still got some gas in the tank.

Tip-off about to go down on TNT. Get to a TV if you’re a basketball fan. The season is about to get underway. I’m expecting the 76ers to get a win and the warriors to cover the spread. We’ll see how close I am with those predictions. Game time! Enjoy the night of basketball folks. 76ers/Warriors for the bettors. Smiley
4972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 18, 2022, 10:04:01 PM
Kemba Walker is still a great player, and will stay a great player, his playing style doesn't really go bad, even last year when he was given only 25 minutes in New York, dude scored 11+ points, which was his worse year and he was seen as someone who was bench are.

If any team takes him, and gives him the ball, and makes him play 30 minutes a game, just like how he has in Charlotte all these years, he will bounce back and have a 20 ppg season, only trouble he has that no team is willing to do that, this isn't his problem, it’s not because he is bad, teams just don't give him the chance, which is stupid considering how many teams really need a good ball handler as well. He could be AMAZING in sixers for example.

The problem with Kemba is that he is injury prone player. And that's why Charlotte decided to trade him and now he is bouncing from team to team.

I do agree that he is a great player, those crazy moves and cross overs, but if he can't keep himself from getting injured, then I doubt that he can average 20 ppg. He will no longer be the star that he once is, in my opinion.

I don’t think he’s an injury prone player. He was healthy in New York and they were benching him to let the younger guys play. I think he just doesn’t play great team basketball. Since college he’s had to carry the entire load for his team but he’s just not good enough to carry an NBA team to the Finals. I do think he’d be a great addition to a team that needs a scoring presence off the bench. Los Angeles last year for example. I’d like to see the Pelicans pick him up for their second squad. I think when McCollum, Zion, and BI are taking a breather he would be able to keep the score moving.

Bantamweight: Petr Yan vs. Sean O’Malley

That’s the only fight I really care about or will watch. I’m really curious how it’s going to go. Yan looks like the better and stronger fighter, but when you watch his fights he doesn’t seem to have real knock out power when he lands good shots. Sean is the opposite. He doesn’t look like he could punch his way out of a wet paper bag, but when you watch him fight he knocks people out clean regularly. This is probably why they say Yan has fought much better opponents. I’m very curious how this is going to go.
4974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 18, 2022, 06:58:06 PM
Would you be influenced by your favourite Celebrity who you know gambles and one day happens to post the games he played, would you be influenced to play the same game?

I am bringing up this because a popular Canadian musician Drake posted the games he played today on Stake,

Many of his fans who are into gambling as well, may have played same game without thinking. As it turns out, the game did not go as predicted for him and his bet lost.

Maybe. It wouldn’t hurt. To give an example, I started wanting to promote stake.com after I saw some of my favorite influencers doing the same. I guess it made me feel sort of cool to be on the same team as them, even if my paychecks were considerably lower. Not to mention it also lends credibility to the operation to see someone you respect showing that they trust them.

4976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 18, 2022, 06:51:49 PM
I voted Yes because my “gambling” is never tied to dollar amounts. If I were playing slots it would most likely be because I was extremely bored and didn’t feel like doing any real work. So it would have more to do with how much fun I was having and how much time I had to kill. If I doubled my money, I’d probably be having fun so I don’t think I would stop there.
4977  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 18, 2022, 06:50:06 PM
I agree with you somewhat on the title to this thread, but I would probably say that it could hit $12K, but will definitely hit $135K by the end of 2025. So I guess I’m a little more bearish than you, but a X7 in just over 2 years still seems pretty bullish to me. If you turn out to be right and I’m wrong though, I wouldn’t complain. I do think the ultimate test of will is still ahead though. I don’t feel like the market sentiment is low enough for us to have seen the bottom yet.

Looking forward to seeing the NBA season kick things off tonight on TNT. With Ernie and the guys signing long extensions that certainly made them crazy rich, I’m sure the aura will be extremely positive. Really looking forward to seeing the Warriors and Lakers, but I suspect that Golden State will be leaving with the W. Philly and Boston will probably be less fun to watch but likely a more exciting game. I’m just glad to be watching NBA basketball again!
4979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is key differences between Bitcoin and tulip bubble on: October 16, 2022, 05:20:39 AM
The tulip bubble is hard to understand. There were so many reasons why it happened, it was a perfect storm. If you read about it in depth, you learn many interesting things, like what the tulips were being used for and why they were important at that point in history. You could make the case that government spending creates the effect storm for Bitcoin, but unlike Tulips, there is no ability to increase production and it’s likely demand will grow instead of shrink.
4980  Other / Politics & Society / Re: AN END TO ELON'S GENEROSITY on: October 16, 2022, 05:18:05 AM
Pretty crazy that the US government hates Elon so much that they wouldn’t subsidize Starlink for Ukraine. This just makes Elon look better in my opinion, as he was the bigger man even while Ukrainian politicians call him names and our own government won’t even mention his company’s name. I’m glad Elon is on the side of common sense. Seeing people hate on him really shows that it doesn’t matter how awesome and successful you are. Someone will always complain.
