4961  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Arctus Wallet on: June 26, 2018, 11:50:03 PM
Hello everyone,

We are a team developing a decentralized multicurrency wallet with onboard shapeshift for exchanging and a peer-to-peer decentralized exchange  in development. We have registered for Shapeshift and Blockstack's 50k bounty campaign and are really in need of your feedback. Our project is open source and any input or help would be greatly appreciated!

The core concept of Arctus is to create a completely decentralized multi-currency wallet that will implement a Peer-to-Peer exchange powered by Smart Contracts without an intermediary wallet required.
Another core feature of Arctus is the ability to generate a full multi-currency wallet from a simple login and password, opening up the cryptocurrency world to anyone familiar with a login page, which encompasses a broader audience than current wallet solutions.

P.S. We are also going to have an airdrop to every Arctus Wallet with our own minable tokens but more on that later!

You can visit our wallet at https://wallet.arctus.io

Contact: info@arctus.io

you will need all plattform token, waves, ethereum, neo and in the future also eos, on that wallet or it wont be considered useful

4962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will get legitimacy in all countries? on: June 26, 2018, 11:48:57 PM
Many countries think that Bitcoin is harmful for their country. They think that Bitcoin will create inflation in their country. But is that right? Will Bitcoin never get all the legitimacy?

not countries, its the banking cartels, in many countries the banking cartels are indeed harmful and dangerous as they only want to abuse others, while in other coutntries the banking cartels are tool to distribute and decentralise power.

4963  Other / Off-topic / Re: Africa and backwardness in technology on: June 26, 2018, 11:08:44 PM
I'd love to know why Africa is backward in technological advancements going on in the world today and also remedies to the situation.

mutliple reasons, as with all other big things

1. first you define high tech as technology that is quite complicated, uses advanced matter and means to further expand space technology, like internet e-cars, cryptocurrencies etc, tribal africans also do their discoveries, like how to hunt crocodiles better, how to preserve wildlife from illegal hunting. so it has its innovations but they are not huge corporate ones like in china/japan (consumer electronics, consumer goods production), usa or europe/russia (space technology, fusion science, high and matter science see graphene, robotics)

2. africa is tribal and rural mostly, it doesnt have the corporate structures yet to advance technologically.

3. education is not widespread and there are too many african langauges that make education difficult. similar issue is in india.

4. brain drain, as good educated africans systematically leave it for the west china russia etc.

5. wars due to poverty and political instability.

6. investors fear about their investments so they dont invest in africa. (called bad investment climate)

7. distrust because of skincolor race polarities (olthough this one is easy to resolve, and can be very marginal)

race itself is insignificant compared with those factors.

hope that helped,

How to live comfortable in an over populated environment?

there are no overpopulated environments only bad organised ones.

this is true for the entire world, see the opportunities in people become their leader to fix issues. a cryptocurrency might be a useful tool.

Bitcoin gold is 92% down since dezember its speeds up its halfing much faster than bitcoin,

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/

But with bitcoin gold declinging why shouldnt bitcoin decline?

bitcoin gold grew and rose with bitcoin, and now it falls with bitcoin

regards

If bitcoin goes down, alts go down, not the other way. Also btg is simply a copy of bitcoin, a scam. Like (almost) all other hardforks. So yeah, you should expect even more decline

its not bitcoin centric,

if alts go down, its also a loss in trust into the entire cryptoindustry

if altcoins stop winning people will then as, but why the cult arround bitcoin then?

and bitcoin follows them.

nevertheless bitcoin gold got hit much harder than other bitcoins, it was one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies.

regards

same with dash zcash etc.

dash lost 83.3% for example

Do you believe all Muslims are bad? How do they differ from the terrorists?

You may want to share your thoughts. Some think all muslims are terrorist. Reasons why they said that because they don't study about their culture and norms. They need more information about why there are msulims and how do muslim live, how are they related to ISIS and other terrorists group in the world.

i actually like islam, the mental thought,

not the terrorism and the poverty though., and the ritualistic life.
4969  Other / Off-topic / Re: why is Africa not fighting cyber- fraud? on: June 26, 2018, 08:55:11 PM
well maybe because the incentives are not that high for catching cyber criminals. interestingly the way those "hi i am Nigerian prince & you have won multi million dollar lottery" are designed shows us that no matter how much governments intervene people are gonna fall for get quick rich schemes so catching the criminals for such a phenomenon may result in exercise in futility & also would require African nations help for which huge resources need to be deployed. raising awareness may result in less phising/scamming incidents.

someone's legitimacy is someone else's fraud, it was always this way throughout human history will never end.
4970  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day - Why old members are no longer active here on: June 26, 2018, 08:52:52 PM
Hi All

So yesterday, I was reading about this Bitcoin Pizza day on Cointelegraph and then I saw this link. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.msg1195#msg1195

I am aware about this Pizza Day for past 2 years, but only yesterday I came to know that Laszlo had posted this legendary offer on Bitcointalk. I always thought he posted it on either his social media page or some random forum.

Anyways, while reading through comments made on this topic, I noticed a strange thing. Most members who posted at that time are no longer active on Bitcointalk. Many were last seen years ago. Even Laszlo isn't, even though he has somewhat of a celebrity status in Bitcoin community. Many even credit his sacrifice of Bitcoins as the main reason for Bitcoin's current price.

And it's not that he has gone anonymous or so, because recently ledger launched limited edition Nano S, themed on Bitcoin Pizza Day and Laszlo gave the permission to do so. https://www.ledger.fr/2018/05/22/bitcoin-pizza-day-ledger-nano-s-limited-edition/
**Does anyone know what happened of the guy (jercos) who actually provided the pizzas for Bitcoin? He/she was equally important in this milestone.

But what I am curious about, especially from the old members here; that why the early adopters of Bitcoin and then active members of Bitcointalk have gone inactive now. Is it because they are bitter about not holding to their Bitcoins and selling it for a few Dollars or because they have found better platforms to discuss Bitcoin. Or maybe that they made quite a fortune and don't care anymore. I read that even Vitalik was an active user here, but again he has also become totally inactive on Bitcointalk. So why this trend?

old bitcoin developers have already spent their old coins and are now advertising their new coins, into the market, this will never stop so dont even wonder.

4973  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Marshall Islands 1st country to launch own cryptocurrency as legal tender on: June 26, 2018, 05:34:10 PM
The Marshall Islands has put a bill in place to make a cryptocurrency named the Sovereign (SOV) its national legal currency. The development is particularly interesting because, as the legal tender of a non-sanctioned UN member country, global financial institutions (banks and credit card companies) are obligated to accept it. The country will continue to use the US dollar alongside the SOV. Know more by joining the SOV official Telegram group: https://t.me/officialsov

Source: https://www.rt.com/business/420419-marshall-islands-sovereign-cryptocurrency/

in truth its just a banking cartel that launches that cryptocurrency,

we have serious problems worldwide with banking cartels being able to delude the public and pretend they represent a country.

4974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we change the public's view of Crypto world? on: June 26, 2018, 05:32:41 PM
Guys we are very much aware how the crypto community through this great forum has helped most of us in terms of our finances but is so heartbreaking that the most of the public views only describes how insecure and unsafe the crypto community is. I do understand that cryptocurrencies are volatile and the issue of anonymity sometimes scares people away but y'all bear with me that if  crypto is explained to you and you really understand it properly you would not make wrong mistakes and get swayed away by panic sales or submit your private key as ethereum wallet address. Is it a public campaign or some other form of tutorial that we should organize to help explain crypto to the world because believe it or not the blockchain technology of cryptocurrencies is being admired by most organizations and some of them have decided to run their operations with the use of blockchain technology. What can we do as a community to help change the public view of Crypto?

you need to develop a filtration system

News headline: China carries out missile drills in South China Sea amid heightened tensions
Quote
The United States and China have frequently sparred over who is militarizing the South China Sea, with Beijing blaming tensions on actions such as the “freedom of navigation” operations carried out by the U.S. navy.
Quote
China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines all have competing claims in the South China Sea.
(Source: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-southchinasea/china-carries-out-missile-drills-in-south-china-sea-amid-heightened-tensions-idUSKBN1JB0BX)
In summary, US exercising "freedom of navigation" and China’s missile drills result in tensions between the two of them.
Should US really be interfering in this manner? Is there any possible way to resolve the issue on militarization in the disputed territories?

China has effective militarization on South China sea, while Vietnam occupies the most number of islands. Is there a way for the countries involved to resolve the issue peacefully by themselves?
(https://thediplomat.com/2015/06/who-is-the-biggest-aggressor-in-the-south-china-sea/) Realistic answers please.

issue is formalists communist style enterpreneurship in china, the huge state companies life like they have a wall in their heads, they cant just extract ressources they are also very paranoid, it will in the end also damage severely communist chinas foreign enterpreneurship and will have to mutate towards an enterpreneurship like its being executed in the west.

4979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you think of currency what will come to your mind? on: June 26, 2018, 02:55:41 AM
IMF employees are similar like Bank employees they are braindead, (in the west especially often braindead christians) they are supposed to be neutral, not constantly think the universe is good to them and helps them. they live their live and write down things, being aware, of 0.000001% of total reality whats going on.

they think bitcoin is a social movement, supported by many,

but the truth is different

its a greed movement to obtain power as all other currencies are. its a never ending flow of propagandacoins, till those that work for money simply will see no reason working for money anymore, and money collapses even more.

Unfortunately politics, like many things in our World, revolve around money most of the times.
I hope UK government respects the will of it's people. It doesn't make any sense to me that they try to minimize the impact of Brexit if UK citizens voted for it.
It is simply minimizing the power of the citizens if you minimize the effect of their votes.

its a small majority of i think just 52% that approved for the brexit the entire democracy has basically become ridiculous. countless businesses will lose their ability to do business.
