First enter into the Newbie lottery and go get some Bitcoin dust at some faucets and free sites:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90718.0

After that, decide if you want to provide a service, sell goods, mine, or trade Bitcoins.

Then once you've reached "Member" level after several weeks here, you can try out for one of the Signature campaigns and get paid in Bitcoins for posting.

Welcome to the forum.

Chuck

My understanding is that you can earn up to a maximum of 14 activity points every 14 days. So if you post 5 times within 2 weeks, you will earn 5 activity points. If you post 14 times in two weeks, you will earn 14 activity points. If you post 5000 times in two weeks, you will earn 14 activity points.

Activity points are cumulative so whatever you earn in a 2-week period is added to your total. I am not aware of any system for removing points from inactive users but who knows, there may be such a factor.

No if you post once every 2weeks you will get +14points providing your post count is superior or equal to your activity count

Why do you guys get the blue sig, while the op has a red one?

Can we choose the color, or do you have to be a certain amount of cool to get blue?   Cool

Members can't have any colors, Full Members can have colors, Senior Members and Hero Members can have larger text and different color formatting in their sig lines.
4986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Say something about China and Chinese btc ban. on: April 30, 2014, 06:58:59 PM
Does really Chinese goverment banned "the big bang theory"? goverments take awful decisions, but this is the worst one!

How can the Chinese government ban "The Big Bang Theory?"  That show is on at least 3 times a day on different channels and networks in the USA.

What?  They don't like the neverending laugh track?  Sheldon Cooper "Bazinga"!  Penny's boobs?

Get it together, China.
4987  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining asic's technologies, legit? on: April 30, 2014, 06:32:49 PM
ChuckBuck, can I support you in any way, thanks a lot for helping me out. Such a newbie and so much to learn. THANKS!  Wink

No problem, let me know what you decide to go with.   Smiley

4988  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining asic's technologies, legit? on: April 30, 2014, 06:05:58 PM
ChuckBuck, have you got any expirience with RPi's?
I'll check the Spondoolies-Tech. Actually looking for Scrypt Asic miners, but not looking for high Mh/s, looking more into power efficient miners. In my country electricity is rather expensive, so I can't afford high bills...

Go for Gridseeds or Gridseed Blades.

http://hashra.com/

http://zoomhash.com/

Or if you want more hash, jump in this group buy for the new Lightning asic scrypt miner:

Of course you can also pre-order the KNC mini Titan or Titan if you want to go all out.

Looks like it's pretty close to Bitstamp's exchange price, give or take a few cents.
4992  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD OUT] 3 x Antminer S1s, Corsair cx750m PSUs, Gentle Typhoon fans USA ONLY on: April 30, 2014, 04:12:43 PM
Selling 3 of my Antminer S1's

Used just a little over a couple of months, running stably overclocked (I'll factory reset them).

If you'd like a Corsair cx750m PSU I could sell that also, and if you need an extra fan for cooling I have the Scythe Gentle Typhoon for great push/pull effect.

If you'd like all 3 Ants, asking for 1.3 BTC

If you'd like 1 Ant, asking for 0.45 BTC

Each PSU is 0.1 BTC, Fans 0.05 BTC

Will ship anywhere in the USA, or local pickup in NYC.  All in original Antminer packaging and boxes.  If all 3 ordered, will fit all in a single box.

Escrow through DannyHamilton(awaiting his confirmation).

Cheesy 82 is not my birthdate - don't insult me!

Don't insult our intelligence with posts from reddit 4 months ago claiming to be you.
4994  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.55 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 30, 2014, 02:20:54 PM
Why do people still make or buy USB ASICS? I just cant see any value at all in this?

It boggles my mind as well.  Minimum of 500 to order also for 10.8 BTC.  WOW!

4995  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: April 30, 2014, 02:13:14 PM
Time for me to get a little bit of hate by my fellow members  Grin

I actually like the compensation plan, I find it way better then 25% hosted power for 6 months.

And I certainly understand the frustration of people who only got 1 X1 because I would also be pissed off, and I also wouldn't want to pay more to get more.
But this is something you have to take care of with your re-seller.

For BA, it's logical and works fine, considering they only sold batch1 unites in bulks of 10
. (Correct me if I am wrong)

I am not saying BA is perfect, far from it in fact. There is much they could have done better, however buying those devices as a pre-order, I expected this to happen.
The only thing that would make me unhappy, would be to have to wait another 3+ months. I can deal with a little more wait.

For the silence, I take it they don't want to give bad news untill they get all their cards right and give a final accurate update.

The one thing many companies should start doing is "Under Promise, Over Deliver"
Give an extra month delay, ship 2 weeks early... everyone would be thrilled.

I don't feel BFLed so far... and speaking of which, I just want our toys to be in our hands before these f***s ship their Monarch...
Just principle of entertainment for me after following their hate thread on the original ASIC's.

Pretty sure you could buy 1 X-1 on the Black Arrow store early on in Batch 1, before they changed it minimum of 10 towards the end of the first batch.

Anytime you're compared to BFL, is not a good thing, no matter what the compensation is.

What's everyone's experience of getting paid - do you often get paid for less posts than you made because some were not considered 'constructive' etc?
Don't spam and you will never have to worry about it

If you even have to think about it, whether your post is spam or not...it's probably spam.

If you think you're contributing to the discussion, then you should be A-OK.

There's also http://coinmap.org/ which show businesses that deal with Bitcoin on a map that you can zoom in and out of.

This looks really good. Is the data update there regularly?

Believe so.  Their BCT thread is still going strong:

Most likely found it in the service section of the forum.  You are also eligible so you should check it out.  It as a great casino and the highest Signature campaign program pay out for on this forum.

Indeed.  For Full Member it's 0.0007 per post starting on May 1st.

5000  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 1TH miners on Ebay going for $2500?!?! on: April 30, 2014, 03:17:46 AM

True, much sniping still to be done at the last minutes.

I could see these end up in the upper $2000s.
