4981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE NEXT ETH?? on: June 17, 2020, 07:50:40 PM
Ethereum is the most successful altcoins in modern times, it may not be bad for new coins or ico projects to learn from Ethereum's success. It is not possible for this new coins to copy or replicate ethereum's use cases and that's where the creators of the coins must apply their originality in creating a coin with a use case that will not be useless to the altcoin network.

No coin can be another eth, another bitcoin or another coin other than what it is, if shills call their coins the next eth or btc, would investors not invest in eth or bitcoin than waiting for their coin to overtake or become the new model.

Pep vs Arteta, (City Vs Arsenal) the former Manchester City assistant coach returns to the Etihad and the city boss is obviously looking forward to this encounter, Pep has said in his press conference that Arteta knows so much about the city team. Could there be an advantage for Arsenal tomorrow, because of Arteta's knowledge of how city plays, the tactics and balance of the team etc? He'll know all that after working as peps assistant for three seasons.

Question remains that will Barcelona let him go to Liverpool with value below the amount they paid for him earlier. With the financial things they are going on I highly doubt so.
Coutinho's value has dropped significantly, and Barcelona must come to terms with that reality. When selling a player, it's his current form and value that matters, not how much the club bought him. For example if Liverpool are to sell Robertson to any team, we'll be talking about something close to 50m, a player they bought for 8m, his performances have been brilliant and no one can say the same about Coutinho since leaving Liverpool. If Barca do not intend to loan him out again or keep him, they must also be ready to accept a fee far lower that the initial 105m they paid for him.
Last season they let Nkunku and Diaby go, both very talented young players. I don't really understand all the time what PSG is doing on the transfer market.
PSG are prolly only interested in buying the best players, not making them at the moment, they want immediate success and they've got money to throw around Grin.

Take a look on number of subscribers - 230k. It is just impossible to get that much in short time, make a scam video and run away.
The scammers do not need 'real' youtube subscribers, I've seen many people advertise that they can help IG/Twitter users get thousands of followers in no more than two days or so, getting fake/bot Youtube subscribers would also be in their stock-in-trade.

This scam youtube channels imo weren't hacked, they create this YT channels themselves with bots as subscribers to make their channel look real, so people then subscribe to it without suspecting since they have a 'large crowd' of subscribers and this makes it easier for the scammers.

If the virus was deadlier than it is, I'd say it's way too soon to reopen businesses and so forth, but we're not talking about a virus that's as deadly as the one in the movie Contagion.
Well not at all, I saw that movie this year (though released in 2011) and covid-19 pandemic just seemed to be reacting everything that was acted in that movie, except on a deadlier/fatal basis.

The recovery rate worldwide is far higher than mortalities, that means the virus can be managed, and people can recover or also die, just the same possibilities with other diseases like Cancer, Tuberculosis, Cirrhosis etc. The reason why governments locked down their countries was cause of how fast the virus can spread. With the curve coming down in quite a lot of countries I don't see why they should not ease off the lockdowns.

The awareness has been created, everyone is now conscious of the presence of the virus. People have to go to work, businesses reopened and life reenacted again, the government locked down their countries then as they tried to get a clue of what was going on, now that there are effective preventive measures, life must and should go on.

I didn't carry out a survey nor do I have any raw statistics, but the higher number of people who fall for this scams are people who are not bitcoin enthusiasts, in the sense of understanding the network, investing or trading in it. I'm saying this from experience, some of my friends who do not hold any bitcoins have presented some of this schemes to me for me to assess it and tell them if they can make double from it.

It is still based on the believe of those so far away from the network, believing everyone in it is rich as we discussed in this thread, so when this novices see this schemes, they think it to be their own opportunity to make money from it. As for stopping this from happening, the only way I think it's possible is if more people nurture their understanding of the network and also change their mindset of getting rich quick from it.

- Guardiola and Man City keen on Achraf (Dortmund).
How many right-backs have they signed since Guardiola is the manager?
Three (3): Kyle Walker, Danilo and Joao Cancelo, Guardiola likes to attack with his fullbacks, (right and left) that's why he spends much money on that position. Danilo has moved on and I think Joao Cancelo is a good back up to Kyle, City may be considering selling Joao to bring in Achraf i think, no need having three right back options. Though Joao can also play on the left (and has sometimes) so can Achraf, so they may all be options for both right and left back Grin.
- Man Utd might not continue to push for the Sancho deal with Dortmund. Next target: Jack Grealish. (source)
Jack Grealish's performances this season imo is enough to earn him a shot in a big team, every party will benefit if the deal pulls through; United get their man, Grealish goes to a bigger team and Villa make good money.

Real Madrid are keen to sign N'Golo Kante from Chelsea. Price? A real little thing, £71m  Grin
Kante is a very strong defensive midfielder and has developed so well since winning the EPL with Leicester and going on to win it the next season with Chelsea, he'll be good in any team, but he doesn't look like the type of player Madrid would go for. (I think this is just a rumor) Madrid loves box to box defensive midfielders, that not only can stop attack, but also start one. (like Toni Kroos) Kante is good defensively, but I don't rate him so high on the offensive (or on the ball as well).
Shocking news came from Paris Saint-Germain's Sports Director, Leonardo, who said that the two mainstay PSG players, Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva were confirmed to leave the club at the end of the season.
That will make both Cavani and T.Silva free transfer targets, I knew Cavani's time at the club will come to an end soon, he doesn't seem to get along well with Neymar and I'm sure PSG want to make Neymar the only star man to make him stay at the club. imo Cavani can still offer quality performances at the top level and T.silva can be a good back up defender. With the virus limiting the amount teams will want to spend, they will both be good options for teams In Europe, prolly for one season or so.

Half time in Espanyol Vs Alaves' game, who else is watching? The match is not too interesting, but I am enjoying the game on a boring Saturday. Alaves are down to ten as their goalkeeper Pacheco handled the ball outside the box and was sent off. Espanyol have been the better team with 77% ball possession and more goal scoring chances, and they go into the break 1-0 up, fine header from Bernardo in the final few minutes of the first half gives them the lead.

I don't think Alaves can come back in this game, as they are also one man down, who has a bet on this game?
4990  Other / Meta / Re: Could we have a standard to announce open spots in signature campaigns? on: June 13, 2020, 08:27:52 AM
Bounty managers have their different styles. (to achieve the same results) If the subject of the topic reads just 'open', without indicating the available slots, the last post of the bounty manager in the thread will indicate the ranks required. If the subject of the thread is changed to 'open' and includes the rank required, the last post of the bounty manager will still indicate the same information of the ranks needed.

Another reason why BM's leave the subject at just 'open' is cause some of them accept higher ranks for lower slots. (hero member for full member spot for example) So the last post of BM in the thread will reveal the open slots and also update higher ranks if they can apply for the position or not (if it is a lower rank to theirs that is open).

So imo it's the same thing, the problem is not with whichever style indicates an open slot, but reading patiently.

This is their ANN thread on the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4513155.msg40635736#msg40635736
This is an open scam accusation topic against this project and they are yet to respond or resolve it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188913.0
Link to the user's (Vidy) profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1935569
Link to their bounty thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4562571.0

After researching about this coin (project), I found out that they scammed bounty hunters during their bounty campaign on the forum and the hunters were not paid, you can go through the links above to confirm that, and they never responded to the scam accusation thread made against them. They have pumped well in the last 24hrs, but a coin with this type of shady behaviour in the past, I suspect this could be a planned pump and dump scheme.
4992  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about merit on: June 12, 2020, 09:00:40 PM
I understand you can send a maximum 50 merits, so far I have not seen one anyone sending the maximum and I don;t know if there are people doing this the most I have seen was 20, for me above 10 is quite questionable I have seen great post here getting 5 at the most.
DdmrDdmr already explained it all, another thing is sending 50 merits in one Tx would be hard for a non-MS, either they would not have the smerits or would not consider spending it that generously (50 at once) since it would prolly leave them empty, with no replenishing happening every 30 days. So 50 in one Tx is a rarity and even when sent, it's by a MS, but since merit sources are still asking for more smerits only few will send 50 in one Tx, that's why you see it less often.

Loris Karius has been let go from his club Besiktas and went back to Liverpool. He is not registered for the premier league and also they have Alisson is at liverpool which is why I doubt he would ever get minutes anyway even if he was registered. However its still weird that someone who is as good as Karius who would go as further as being the champions league finals game and goalkeeping there, to only get scored by mistake and have a downfall so hard that he was let go from the team who is 5th in Turkish League. I mean from champions league teams goalkeeper to turkish leagues 5th team unwanted player is really not something you become in just 2 seasons unless you have some sort of injury, this dude must be superb unlucky or have some sort of personality that makes him unwanted.
Definitely no Liverpool fan would want to see Karius in goal again for the club, not after so many poor performances capped off with a shambolic display in the champions league final against Madrid that cost Liverpool the title.

Karius isn't a good goalkeeper, not in any way and the reason why he was between the sticks for Liverpool in the final was because they had no choice, (not for any quality) choosing between Karius and Mignolet who is also horrible is not a decision any manger will love to make. (In a UCL final match) Allison has made it easier for Klopp to breathe when opposition teams are attacking Liverpool and there is no way back for Karius or any other goalkeeper in the Liverpool team.
4994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 12, 2020, 06:04:06 PM
Sancho and Havertz are 2 of my biggest wishes (Mbappe is 1st one but I think he might be out of reach already) but both are ~100 mil $ players and Liverpool would have to sell to buy any of them.
One reason why Liverpool won't spend this much is because Jurgen klopp is not the kind of manager who breaks the bank for players, I know he did that to get Virgil and Alisson but Liverpool needed quality players in those areas and since he fixed that, the team has been perfect and I think all they need now is just makeshift players (back ups). Another reason is there's so much understanding between Liverpool's front three of Salah, Mane and Firminho, if I was Klopp, I wouldn't want to break that bond, bringing in Sancho could disrupt the understanding amongst the trio, even though Sancho is brilliant.
Back to the topic: 5 long days to know if Arsenal will be knocked with +2 goals by City...
Am I the only one who thinks Arsenal is going to win this game?
4995  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it’s important to avoid telling everyone about your crypto holdings on: June 12, 2020, 08:42:48 AM
Telling all of your friends might not be a good idea
I second that, and the situation could be worse for people who do not know how to create strong passwords, anyone who doesn't know how to create strong passwords, read: How to create strong/secure passwords. If you use weak passwords like your name, date of birth or something personal to you, definitely your close friends would have those information about you, and if they think you're rich and get jealous, they can try to attack you if they get access to your device; they could even try to hack your bitcointalk account, if you've also told them about that.

As a university student (like myself) it's even more difficult, sharing a house with other kids, it's also hard to stay personal with lots of friends (knowing you need to write out seed phrases, private keys etc) I'm sure i would have lost a lot of my funds in cryptocurrency if i wasn't on bitcointalk (where you can learn how to safely store your coins, create strong/impenetrable passwords, stay anonymous etc).
4996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short suggestion and situation on: June 12, 2020, 07:37:46 AM
I don't think the pandemic is an excuse to stop searching for a job in real life, I know so many people lost their jobs when the pandemic started, but now the lockdown is slowly easing out and government is reopening the economy, so there must be something you can find out there to do.
Join with altcoin is the best.
Altcoins bounties or investment as an online job cannot replace the benefits and security of you getting a job in your country and earning money, bounties do not secure you a stable income and Investing is risky, what if you get scammed or buy pump and dump coins?. What you need is a special skill to work online, not "joining with altcoin"
4997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 coins to $5 million on: June 12, 2020, 07:06:46 AM
imo, paying $5000 to this individual (Teeka Tiwari)  and buying into his pump and dump scheme is moronic, he is prolly working with the creators of those (5) coins to pump them to a high price, read about pump and dump here: What is pump and dump scheme and after they are pumped, those who bought some or all of the five coins think he was astute in his predictions, but no, it's just a scheme.

I'd advice no one to pay op $300 or even to purchase the original prediction for $5000, you can DYOR, or start a btc investment of $5000, it's much better than investing in pump and dump coins or someone's guess (in this case Teeka Tiwari's)
4998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 10, 2020, 10:37:03 PM
Only Manchester City are capable of competing head to head with Liverpool for next season trophy and the competition would definitely become boring without them playing.
You are correct, imo the title will either be going to the Etihad or Anfield for a couple of seasons more, they are the strongest teams in the EPL at the moment. Chelsea and Arsenal are still rebuilding their teams, with new managers (Franky and Arteta) so I'd be giving them few more seasons to work on their teams to compete to take the title to either Stamford bridge or the Emirates; as for United and Spurs, they are not title contenders imo.

So I agree with you @Brainboss, only city can compete with Liverpool for now, I cannot imagine an EPL season without city, if that can be one of the punishments they may get, I heard it could be points deduction, not a PL ban.
4999  Economy / Economics / Re: What opportunity costs will governments take. on: June 10, 2020, 08:20:48 PM
But the question is, what options does the government have to fix or even handle this pandemic? How many options do they have, and what is the best one among the others? For me, it's really hard to speak about the best alternative since this pandemic is a big issue and it's not easy to handle. Even the government is having a hard fine to evaluate and make decisions because it includes the whole citizen of a country that may suffer from the option they choose.
I know the government probably have their backs to the wall in terms of what decision to make because of the pandemic, but then a decision must be made, and that's why I made this thread, imo there will be stagnant development all over the world and nations will feel the impact of the decisions their governments will make in years to come.

One thing is certain, and it is that the government doesn't have enough money to ensure all the branches of the nation and the economy is funded adequately, so some will def experience stagnanted growth, and will struggle to catch up with the rest, the borrowed funds also have to be paid back, recession is also looming etc, for now the government is only concerned about sustenance, funds are mainly for sustaining the economy and their citizens, (and I understand that) it will work for now, but the opportunity costs of these decisions will affect the country negatively in the long run.
5000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Should You Track The Cryptocurrency Market Cap Before Investing? on: June 10, 2020, 06:46:02 PM
I'd say that observing the market capitalization is more important when you are investing in new or unpopular coins, if you want to invest in bitcoin i don't see it a necessary thing to do studying it's market cap. For example if you want to buy a Sony, Apple or LG product, this companies are popular and renowned in making quality products; there will be no need imo to go through reviews on their products before buying, AFAIK it's the same if you want to invest in bitcoin, you don't have to tack it's market cap.

But if the coin is new to you and you have not invested or traded with it before, tracking the market cap can see you through to make your decision and also to rate the coin on its "current price and the amount in circulation"
