4981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: March 09, 2022, 03:14:17 PM
Well you were looking to put something on Santos so here is the challenge for this weekend to be able to put in your picks to win the 2mbtc freebet.
The link to the multimaster challenge for UFC Vegas 50 for this weekend is here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5388894

Thanks yeah, I have my eye on that, full picks later! Good to follow jeremypwr to make sure you don't miss out on these Sportsbet UFC Multi Master challenges!

But I'm not picking Santos in my predictions -- the heaviest underdog in the entire selection for Vegas 50. Kind of a pattern I'm doing this season across all sports, going with my gut with football, and leaning with the odds on sport I'm unfamiliar with (let's just say that means almost everything outside football).

Clubhouse freebet from UCL (7 goals hit all thanks to Bayern really) locked in on Santos with price boost. A neat ~1 mbtc win if the Brazilian pulls through!

4982  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $40000 resistance on: March 09, 2022, 01:32:31 PM
You sure do a lot of thinking for someone asking us all for our "accurate" predictions. I mean, sure, I think of all the things you do, we're here on Bitcointalk so either are actual Bitcoin users (ha), actually hold or trade (but I know how to identify the regulars in Speculation) or we're just shooting the wind.

Here's my entirely gut-based analysis, which hasn't changed much over the past year:
- supercycle is bye-bye. The long rally from point A (2017 ATH) and point B (2021 ATH) was unlike any other ATH range in the past. Longest period, with smallest percentage gain, with the most gentle curve up.
- because of previous point, can't say if we're still in the long rally, or headed down for multi-year "winter". I'm thinking the latter, only because post-pandemic, post-fossilfuelwar pain is yet to come
- pricing in for next halving to start next year, and halving's my bible for ATH onset. So no more intense joy from now til 2025.

(May the markets prove me wrong)
4983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: March 09, 2022, 11:46:03 AM
Yikes. Salzburg actually had a really, really bright start, just as expected. One quick goal was what they were hoping for. Bayern napped but then the Lewandowski show started and it was all over. Just stupid penalties given away in quick succession and then it was ripe for a thrashing. Had them in background commentary while watching Liverpool game.

Liverpool way sloppy in passing out from the back and Salah, well, hit both posts, Matip header crashed the bar. Just glad we made it through and hopefully that Inter game just passed out all the bad luck. We lost our proud Anfield record (never lost after winning away leg). Hope it was worth it. Salah said never mind, next game maybe he scores three heh.

4985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inflation is here Why is not Bitcoin Saving Us? on: March 09, 2022, 09:24:23 AM
Don't know where you've been for the past several years... but Bitcoin's pretty much been a great way to preserve value since the last two global recessions (not to mention the hyperinflation that's been hitting a string of countries, not least notable and most recently the Russian rouble).

Besides, where in any Bitcoin literature has it ever claimed to have been here to "save us from inflation"?
4986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: March 08, 2022, 06:17:31 PM
Taking this one after I missed most of them in last month. Partly because I expect a game close to 21 points and partly because there isn't much other stuff on offer today. I will be watching the game anyway so why not have something extra to keep an eye on. Good luck guys.

Well done man. I took both today, hoping for loads of goals and corners as both ties should feature the round's most direct attacking sides. Liverpool games have been low/high busts more than pushes, strangely enough, but yeah, I'm feeling good about this and you've no idea what kind of person I've become now counting every point while watching the game!

Now my only "quest" is to find a way I don't get interrupted tonight.
4987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +81268 units on: March 08, 2022, 04:26:43 PM
KTChampions: you are absolutely right to question the justification of me raising bet amounts. I believe I started doing it last season but it's become a more common theme now that I've got less time on this thread. It's not at all necessary, but perhaps "justified" in great value but short odds (relative to the longshot odds I prefer) MLs. And thanks for point it out. 10/1 bets absolutely do not need me raising my bets -- I think that was the first time I'd ever done it, I was just so confident in United... and they proved me so wrong not even Sancho scoring was ever going to turn the tide around.

Trofo: I saw your reply elsewhere and I just hoped you would be wrong about Inter finding scoring boots but BTTS actually is real value. As you say, they have no choice but to score and we all know what happens when you try to attack a team like Liverpool, they love it too. That said, I'm also counting on guys like you who think Salzburg should score again. It's not in their DNA to defend and pray for penalty lottery.

And am I the only one imagining it that Bayern and Lewie are somehow beginning to show signs that they could stumble and sputter? Too much of a lead in Bundesliga? They did get a huge Furth win but had to score everything in 2nd half, then escaped with a narrow win and then drew last game with an own goal. Can't keep pushing their luck without Goreztka? No offence to you, Jamal Musiala.

Thus we arrive at today's pick:

100 units at Fairlay on Salzburg to WIN vs Bayern Munich @14.73. Other odds: 13.20
Units advantage: 153

Running advantage after 117 bets: +12862 (+153)
All-time cumulative: +81,268
Running units after 116 bets (14W|102L): +1528 (-200)

Hello Flávio and all, user Sojourner here. Sportsbet is my home really but I opened an account here during the Freebet promo around Valentine's Day... and of course, promptly forgot to login to use it so it's expired apparently.

Need to remind myself to come and see what's happening here these days. 99 Club looks like a fine promo to play daily...
4989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: March 08, 2022, 02:17:34 PM
I hope you're wrong Trofo man. It would kill me to see Inter go through haha. I'm still pinging Steve like a kid to get SB to offer a Quadruple special. Free money for them right? =p

Not sure what to bet on tonight... Salzburg already has my money (again) but they are so going to get a whooping today after giving me false hopes 2 weeks ago. Liverpool odds are not great at all but they're sneaking into my acca started from last night as just over 15/10.

4990  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: March 08, 2022, 12:28:30 PM
Any of you guys had more luck than me in fortunejack promotion for last weekend?
My results from Majestic7 Matchday28, I did correctly predicted that Mahrez will score for City, Toney for Brentford, and Saka for Arsenal, but that's about it.
I missed other four matches and I didn't win anything this time, moving on to Macthday29 now.

I got 4 right scores... Pukki, Saka, Kane, Coutinho. Idiot me picked Ronaldo early, he wasn't even available. Also picked Salah when I was 50/50 about Mane, but if Liverpool are on the lineup any time now for MajSev, I'll stick with him.

In fact, I'm sticking with all my selections as above except Ronaldo (and they play Spurs anyway so Kane moves him out). They're on fine form, every one of them. Thing is, they gotta score more than assist huh Wink

My final selection: Pukki, Saka, Kane, Ziyech, Zaha, Jimenez JWProwse.

This CAN happen to project managers or business owners, over the course of a long decade, they just can't muster the inspiration to give a fuck anymore about their project. And so I'm pretty sure LL would have CLOSED BV long ago rather than reluctantly keep dealing with all the work & ignorant complaints, if he hadn't closely observed and understood just how cherished it is as a haven by its degenerate rabble of gamblers & junkies glued to it 24/7 - so much so that the site's sudden absence causes a whole upending in their errant lives ; for the unusually different type of gambling it offers them - not to mention its colorfully unhinged & mostly uncensored chatting community

It's a shame you fools can't have understood this in 245 pages of spam and it took my time & effort to explain it to your obtusely confused, desperate, hungry, anxiously-spammed sig-campaign posts

I for the record am fine with things as they have been, for I long ago acquired the sensible maturity to cognizantly accept this is how this weird site is gonna be functioning, you might well get to siphon more free coin mileage here via the token conversion system than via periodic bonuses granted in copycat fashion after one another, by the dozens of other sites ; and by the rng here POTENTIALLY (unconfirmed) being more favorable than elsewhere ; BUT, you WILL WAIT whenever you have a support ticket or withdrawal in line

While I can't say I agree with you absolutely, we may very well be on the same chapter, if not page. You've been one of my favourite people in gambling, though we hardly connect in recent years.

This site, much like others like 999dice (which was also operating only for as long as the owner was able to), are home to the same degenerates like you and me and serve our needs and wants and inner desires. So those of us actually using it aren't the ones whining on this thread like all you shitposters coming here to fill in threads with your signature spam.

Sadly, you guys guilty of this all know who you are, but won't even realise you're being called out. If there were just one thing I'd wish, it's for LL to just delete the bleeding spam from this thread. I'd do it for free just given the opportunity ha!

Level 12 old account, currently only Level 8, looking at 9, and just there for the weirdness and waiting in line for eventual happiness.

4992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Women's Day Wishes to all Women Bitcoiners on: March 08, 2022, 09:27:40 AM
I do find it very strange that the crypto market is so male dominated. I know that it’s very hard to ascertain the percentage of female investors, hodlers, traders etc , but every snippet of information out there suggests that the crypto market is disproportionately weighted towards males.

I don't find it strange at all. Markets have always been dominated by men. Stock markets, forex, name the asset and it's majority men. Too lazy to Google the stats but I've always seen Wall Street (to stereotype markets) as a male space.

And when there is research confirming that there are foundational disparities that contribute to why women don't invest such as wage gap and more conservative approaches -- Fidelity findings summarised in this report.

I'd follow women traders more though, they seem to post consistently better returns than men (perhaps due to more conservative approaches).
4993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 07, 2022, 09:21:36 PM
it would be great to see them at position four, instead of United, three games down and point up, should that be enough or what?

Arsenal 4th? United Conference? Amen.

I really was pissed off with the last City goal. i put 3-1 and that goal detroy my "exact" prediction.

For the love of god!!!!! Please stop the hype in Dybala, im Argentinian and i can say to all the people he is a "coldchest" (idk how you say this in english). And the Totenham its a FREEZER team always  losing in the big times. You can clearly see how bad can be this union.

Actually, I threw in a LOT of 3-1 predictions this week all over the league, and Serie A and La Liga haha. Watford also ruined my exact 3-1 Arsenal. And also late on!

Tottenham is "freezing" to a 5-0 lead ATM by the way. Kane on a hattrick, poor Lamps and poor Everton (not). Ha ha.

P.S. Now I know where you're from. Choker perhaps is what you're looking for?

Sorry guys, Drake don't do it for me much. But someone tell me why no one's posted a great big bet won when Watford scored in the 11th minute? Plenty of guys posting here and all seem to be Stake users, but surely there's ONE of you taking free money home happy even though your team lost big?

Show of hands, loyal Stake sports bettors... tell me I'm wrong and you're all just shy to share?
4997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 07, 2022, 03:19:36 PM
Yeah, am seeing a few news articles now questioning Torres, don't really know haven't watched. I think the calls are premature though.

@slaman29: Hell yeah! I agree with toma! That's a sweet looking bet slip right there, something I like to do too (having one leg many days away, usually my leg is Liverpool on either a ML or HT bet). But definitely wouldn't cash out. Sassuolo isn't really a team to trust but they couldn't be playing a weaker team.

Trofo will agree this is a beautiful bet to hedge though, and Salernitana double chance even without price boost is over 2/1. Maybe 1.5 mbtc bet on that if you want to bring home something nice... just a bit less than if you cash out. And if your leg wins you still get 4.3 mbtc, which is really cool 21/1 win nett.

Besides, you're already insured so worst scenario is you get your bet back, only you've to put it on 2/1 to "get the cash refund".

4998  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: March 07, 2022, 01:49:49 PM
What would "full" Bitcoin adoption look like? El Salvador's gone "full" Bitcoin is legal tender and we still have yet to get a flood of El Salvadorians here telling us breathlessly about their experiences using Bitcoin to pay bills and coffee.

Those truly needing to use Bitcoin after being blocked out have already gone that way, no need for a state to go "full-blown" for them. No need to get or ask for permission, isn't that the nice thing about it?
4999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 07, 2022, 12:22:03 PM
now that he's back in the starting 11, the Man utd weekly defensive blunder also makes a comeback! srsly, never doubt him, he always delivers  💪 Wink

Feel bad for the guy personally. He probably knows he doesn't deserve the captaincy, but what else can you do, refuse to wear it? No, actually, I take that back, I don't feel bad for him at all. You can't have an excuse for flailing about like comedians and getting a yellow for playing farmer football.

Shame on me for being surprised at how quickly United capitulated heh.
5000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global Bitcoin/crypto debit card project on: March 07, 2022, 09:37:34 AM
As someone has actually pointed out already, both Visa and Mastercard are already available for crypto use, both have been in use for many years on the internet, loads of projects have crypto-abled debit cards either on Visa or Mastercard. They both have one "principal partner" each who are crypto businesses (exchanges).

Problem though is that Visa and Mastercard are now in the midst of pulling out from Russia. And have not been in all parts of the world for many years. Iran's an example of another country deliberately excluded.

So how do you make a global Bitcoin debit card based on a network that doesn't exist globally? =)
