Completely random, but is DOTA2 F2P? I've gotten so many of these keys since the beta that I really wonder if ANYONE with it paid for the game in cash.

I also have a few games flying around my steam inventory. PM me if you want one, I sell them at less than 50% steam price. You send worldcoins first - don't want to get scammed. They are all Steam keys that came off Steam directly, sometimes Amazon. I will cross out keys that have been sold in this thread so you know what is still available. Small reputation thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195803.0SELL:Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC - 50 WDCBatman Arkham Asylum - 130 WDCBorderlands GOTY Edition - Violence Reduced! ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) - 130 WDCSonic Generations - 130 WDCTerraria - 50 WDCBastion - 65 WDCI also have 10 of those damn DOTA 2 - non-China - Keys flying around. Maybe some trader wants them - 25 WDC for the whole lot. I'll take up your offer on Terraria.

What this coin needs are services, on an exchange @_@ It's just going to kill it's value early

Hahaha very clever.. Where's the top 1 altcoin: LTC? Also it's WDC, not WTT...
Agreed, More options? Or change it to top "New" Coin? Even in that case, BTB? RYC? CHC? Any of the coins that have popped up since Feathercoin really XD

The confirmations are based on my testing. I tried many combinations and settled on 5.
I'm guessing more detail will be in the white paper?

Confirmations: 5 - The number needed to try and minimize double spending.
On what grounds? Will this coin be better than the four other coins launched on Thursday?
I would say better than all. It is almost as fast as Worldcoin, yet should have a much lower orphan rate. Are you referring to at launch? Because Worldcoin didn't have nearly as many orphans ~3 hours in, and there's no real issues now that I've seen. Any ideas on a time on Thrusday? Or are you still deciding upon that. No rush ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Interesting model for a coin launch ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Could prove to be useful to follow if this goes well. Still not quite sure of the incentive to USE this currency, but good job with trying out a new system. Might give it a shot later, but till then, good luck! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

look how many are mining it:) hash rate and all:) do you think that they are stupid to let go of profitable coins on exchanges to mine this wasting electricity?/ of course not and yes when it hits markets sell:) BUY ON RUMOR SELL ON FACT:)
Smile face much? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Need to add a space

Hopefully it doesn't hit an exchange before a little more infrastructure arrives ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) The exchanges have been murdering coins lately, just look at FTC/CHC

There is a problem with the selected port on Windows, on Linux it connects very well, on Windows it gets 0 con eve with firewall off and UPNP disabled on both... and we are talking about the same pc.
I've been running it since hour 1, and no issues so far ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Linux Client: coming soon.
one more reason for a big #fail
You're running linux and not compiling it yourself? Sounds fishy lol. I've never heard of a linux user preferring a binary over source. This is kind of why Linux is a minor OS in the Desktop world. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Everyone just assumes everyone has the knowledge to do this themselves. It's probably for the guy who doesn't know how to/doesn't care to do the compile themselves. I'd assume he's just testing it on a few of many distros of linux, but it's anyone's guess A bit paranoid though? I'd assume he'd have bundled a virus in the Windows Binaries if he had a malicious intent It's like 3 lines of text to write in the terminal.... So to be shouting that a linux client isn't available is really true as it's available as source right at the beginning. Exaxtly, it's not aimed for people like you. More likely the "new" user, who just wants to use the program ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Well, I'm just saying at the end of it all, a linux client was available. You just had to compile it yourself and he never wrote about that part. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Very true ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

If worldcoin is a fork of litecoin, why didn't you fork it from litecoin instead of uploading all of your files as new?
worldcoin latest commit 2d35dc4ba7 worldcoinproject authored 2 days ago contrib 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] doc 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] share 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] src 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] .gitattributes 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] .gitignore 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] COPYING 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] INSTALL 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] README 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] README.md 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject] worldcoin-qt.pro 2 days ago worldcoin [worldcoinproject]
Um, to avoid people discovering the Source? You don't necessarily have to keep the copy ON github all the time

Anybody noticed that these pro WDC comments are almost word for word the same comments Feathercoin had during it's pumping days?
Yup, but (In my opinion at least) Feathercoin in itself was pointless because it was a 1:1 clone of LTC with no changes at all (sans # of coins). The transfer speed on this network is what makes me legitimately want it to grow, not so much profit
|
|
|
If we want this coin to survive then we need to stop being greedy. Get the thought of profitability out of your heads. Exchanging WDC is a start but we need to also start accepting WDC as a form of payment. If we can't do this, then it will follow in the crapcoins footsteps.
A lot of sense here but probably will go ignored. That's been the problem with all recent ALTs, as soon as they hit an exchange people dump them en masse and the price typically stays down. Kills the buzz and from that point suddenly no one wants anything to do with the coin anymore and just moves on to the next thing I'm really hoping it stays off an exchange for a while :\ So that people can build upon it a bit

Quick question... i installed the windows client, and sync wont start... is there anything else i need to do?
Try Checking you firewall, or adding nodes manually to the Worldcoin.conf file
