501  Other / Meta / Activity update! on: September 12, 2017, 12:36:14 PM
Hello!

Short question regarding the fixed dates table for the activity update:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/htmlview?pli=1

The TIME after the DATE is the time when the new activity period will start?

Example: Today >>>  9/12/2017 18:13:20 so at "18:13:20" server time the new period starts?

Thx!

Here you can find a list actually made for people interested in starting an ico, but you can use this list as well to get ideas on what to research... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2131560.0
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start trading alt coins? Beginner Tips! on: September 12, 2017, 07:41:10 AM
Great advice for anyone that is starting to build a crypto portfolio. We need to rely on many sources to get a better judgement and make a wiser decision.
better judgment and wisdom usually comes from knowledge and experience. You need to educate yourself and make your own experience.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETH smartcontract for new ICO or not? on: September 12, 2017, 07:10:30 AM

I am interested in some feedback how you guys see the ETH smartcontract hype and also other platforms offering similar services for new icos.

What are alternative ways to hold an ico without smartcontracts and participating in ETH & Co?

THX!
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in altcoins without github account? on: September 12, 2017, 06:52:41 AM
for me github is not a trust factor or is influencing my decision. If there is github Ok, I take a look at the code but however the code is proper, interesting or innovative or not, it is not a guarantee that I will join a ico because of github. Also if you develop a sensitive project publishing on github is most likely not going to happen...
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: September 12, 2017, 06:49:18 AM
coins providing a real value will be here in future as well. most coins without value and only purpose to be dump and pump at a trade, usually dies after 1 - 2 years...

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For people who are concerned with ICO (investors, and ICO developers) on: September 12, 2017, 05:59:39 AM
"it is not about marketing"

Well actually it is, the best idea even if connected with RL value wont get realized in 99% of cases if there is not professional marketing and proper budget. The advantage of marketing is used by many scam projects. There you see how important marketing is. I agree that new ideas and so on are needed, but in today's time with 1000+ coins and dozens of icos per week I would say no marketing = no success... I know its sad...
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Effect of chinese ban on ico......kybe just excluded chinese investors on: September 12, 2017, 05:55:07 AM
Too much FUD and speculation about China! I advise to sit down lay back and wait 4  8 weeks and thing will become more clear. I do not believe they will forbid icos rather implementing mechanics to control securities...
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would be a good ICO? on: September 12, 2017, 05:51:57 AM
My advise is to research every single ico you are interested in by yourself. Search the forum on what you should watch out to lower the chance to invest in a scam ico. Other, educate yourself first will take you 2 - 4 weeks. Do not speed invest with little knowledge in any ico...
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why so few ICOs from Silicon Valley? on: September 12, 2017, 05:49:17 AM
I too wonder why not more of them. Usually they are everywhere there, where a tech bubble can be pumped...
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: September 12, 2017, 05:46:48 AM
I sold all BCC long time ago and stick to the decision I made. Not buying BCC rather buy new technology driven or "real" usage coins other than financial service coins... <<< But that is my personal point of view!
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 80% of all alt coins in negative % change at the moment on: September 12, 2017, 04:46:52 AM
i think it is just shake out. weak hands are selling. price can't go up always. it is necessery. i think it will continue 1 week after that prices will go up again. i'm trying to buy some cheap coins.
China try to block some exchange. That make many China trader panic sell

i read that news are lie? i don't know but some guys who i trust wrote these news are fake at twitter. i hope it is just a panic sell and will not continue.
and i also read that exchanges won't accept China's decisions. i don't know true or lie..

The news seems real! Many popular news magazines wrote about it.... Would appreciate if some members from China could help to clarify.

517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start trading alt coins? Beginner Tips! on: September 11, 2017, 03:07:51 AM
Nice suggestions there good job! What i want to add is to find someone who can help you in your adaptation procces. It would be better if you are luck enough to have a friend who is trading for a while. After you get used to this market you should start making analyses you own . Go and read, study for hours if you have to because investing on a high potential coin or ICO can be curicial. So don't be lazy and start to study ASAP.

Thank you!
Spending some time analyzing an ico or coin is crucial before investing I totally agree. Do not buy without enough background knowledge about it.

i suggest you to learn indicators. start with simple ones like Relative Strenght Index and Moving Average. with RSI you can see overbuy and oversell situations.  i'm using rsi for daily trades. and it helps a lot.
sorry in advance, i have never heard of RSI, stands for what is RSI? because my science is still a little. can you provide a link to download RSI or an article that explains in detail about RSI?

rsi is rate of buy/sell.  if it is over 70 it means overbuy and its signal for selling.  and if it is under 30 it means oversell. signal for buying.

you should check this site: https://www.fidelity.com/learning-center/trading-investing/technical-analysis/technical-indicator-guide/RSI

Thank you for the link about RSI!
