So far yes vnl HAS instant transactions

Does VNL guarantee the anonymity of the sender?
VNL HASN'T RELEASED DARK++ YET. besides that's not the point of this project. The point of vnl is secure instant decentralized transfers.

Been reading the debate about zero time and doublespending...
My conclusion for the time being is that zero time allows instant transfers whenever there isn't a malcious attack.
And although it has not been peer reviewed to stop double spending, it at least has been reviewed by poloniex enough to make it as secure as bitcoin with taking onlyone confirmation before deposit is clear.
So it takes less than 10 minutes per block and allows100 transactions/sec, while under a double spend attack ie never, and is istantaneous the rest of the time.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is pretty Frick in sweet isn't it? Probably even a game changer.
Disclaimer, I own a few btc's worth of vnl, but I own more xmr and btc than I do VNL.
So does that mean Poloniex now accepts deposits using zerotime, or is there still a 1 confirmation hold time? I think the 1 confirmation was already pretty fast, so I do not know if this would even make much of a difference transferring to/from exchanges. Where I could see zerotime being more useful would be in retail establishments, buying a bagel and coffee for instance, the proprietor could confirm in near real-time the transaction is valid. Of course, most places that accept Bitcoin already use Bitpay or something similar, and they transfer the already low risk to a third party, so even in this scenario I am not sure how useful this is in the real world. It sounds cool and all, but I am struggling to find the real value here. Polinex still is waiting for 1 confirmation....maybe as people start to trust Zerotime they can remove it but exchanges won't want to rush to do that I imagine due to their focus on tight security. I disagree about the third party instant processing of third parties like Bitpay.......I haven't used them but assuming they are almost like using some kind of PayPal for BTC I would say there is a world of difference even if the user experience feels the same. Many people might not care but the difference between centralised and decentralised is everything. Especially if the centralised option goes through the banking system.....kind of misses the point of cryptocurency IMO. +

Ummmm... imagine not needing third party liability, or maybe you think redundancy is a good business model.
Decentralized systems demand decentralized solutions.

I'm in agreement about the name, I passed over vnl for months until I read about zero time. .. vanilla just seemed like an odd name.
But I'm unsure that's the reason xmr is winning. I think it has more to do with its distribution model.
Care to elaborate on the distribution model of XMR? A richlist cannot even be created for that coin. Yes, iam interested in the answer as well.. Actually after being asked to explain myself, I thought shot I must be thinking about a different coin... My apologies boolberry has a totally fair mining system with a very similar emission curve.... guess it is just the name... For some reason I thought boolberry had a heavy premine. I was wrong.

Hope I still have 5 days to accumulate, but judging the falling volume I'm guessing that the whale group is soon to be finished with the its wall shenanigans..
If I'm lucky they will keep at it until Monday

it's far too quiet in here !noomj/k Well there are normally 120+ people in irc .... I agree though people should post on bit coin talk once and a while.

Don't consider it suppression, consider it a cheap buy!!!! I'm buying in at a btc or 2 a week, the longer it stays low with development moving forward the more money I make.
I've seen this scenario before, everyone hidden on IRC no real momentum buying.....This is Qora all over again. Sorry but if i don't see a major price move in the next couple of weeks i will move on.....even the best tech fails when the community does things wrong. People like you who are happy with price suppression and a stagnant market lose in the end and become major long term bag holders, even when you try to leave you crash the market cause the vol is so low....seen this all before, I really hope people listen. No break through in the next two weeks and this coin has serious problems. People like me? I am new to vnl and plan on accumulating until dark++ or ad campaign.. It is people like me that will help push this coin value higher. It's the people who hold .5% or higher and bought under 5k that are suppressing the price

Also if you are balls deep, and have a full bag of only vnl, it might be a good time to reconsider your investment strategy.

Finally, a post worth reading... thread was getting leaden with all the speculation.

We need a marketplace... vnl's strong point is its compatability with retail and money transfers. I want to buy shit with my vnl!!!!

I wouldn't laugh about something like this. Eth's success is would be good for all crypto. I am not invested in it due to the incredible amount of hype surrounding it, but it has brought a lot of new wealth to the crypto scene, and if it fails it could be detrimental to everyone.

Isn't it getting close to the first halving?

I'm hoping the price stays under 100k for a while as long as the price is low mining is awesome.
