501  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is a roller coaster on: December 30, 2017, 04:30:57 PM
Bitcoin is like a rollercoaster and it is currently at the top, this should lead most people to conclude that a drop is due before it continues the upward trend overall. When it is swinging hundreds of dollars in a day, taking it as an investment is pretty much gambling like poker.
Yes. It is really like a roller coaster with ups and downs. Also because of its fluctuating rate and this is the interesting and exciting part of bitcoin. Bitcoin is like riding in a roller coaster that you were enjoying the view at the top (price high) just before it drops. Like the roller coaster, bitcoin is very fascinating. But like I've said it has its ups and downs but its still your choice to go with the flow and enjoy the ride.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not Money, is Faith on: December 30, 2017, 02:49:22 AM
I think we should not value Bitcoin by Money, but by faith. Just hold and let it change the world.

It is faith, and it is money too.. You can still buy a lot of things with bitcoin, and it is the same as altcoins, you can use it everyday to make multiple payments. You have a bad concept about it, obviously
Exactly. Bitcoin is considered as money because it has a value. Although it is not like the paper money we usually used but we can still used it to pay some stuffs at the stores who accepted bitcoin. On the other hand, I believe it is not wrong to have faith in bitcoin but of course we need to do something. We dont have to rely our faith in bitcoin alone but instead we have to work hard to obtain all what we dream of.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: December 29, 2017, 02:30:34 PM
In the rate of return of investment(ROI), bitcoin is better but you have to consider that it is very risky to invest in a virtual currency where you dont know what lies ahead. Will there be bitcoin in the year 2020 or 2050 no one can tell really but the stocks, real state, golds and the likes will be there, they won't banished they will be valuable on that time.
Indeed. Always bear in mind that it is very risky to invest where you dont know or you dont have the knowledge to your asset. Anyway, all assets mentioned are all better especially when you invest because it has proven for long-term track record of generating returns.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes Magazine calls Bitcoin a "Great Scam" on: December 29, 2017, 10:57:26 AM
I clicked on the link and this is what he said
"At the outset, let me clarify that Bitcoin itself is not a scam, but how Bitcoin is being sold is a scam"
Lets not misquote what is said in the magazine. I am absolutely sure some will leave comments here without finding out what is said.
Your right. as stated in the article, "let me clarify that Bitcoin itself is not a scam" but how Bitcoin is being sold is a scam. The scam in Bitcoin is in talking average man-on-the-street investors into investing in Bitcoin by intentionally obfuscating what it really is. I think there is someone misunderstand everything he wants to impart from that article.
505  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is getting low on: December 28, 2017, 08:38:57 PM
I will like you to see it in 3 ways.
1. See it as a correction that was bound to happen anyway, after the huge non stop buying for months now.
2. See it as whales cashing out and some noobs getting scared and selling at losses. (they will get to learn from experience later on)
3. See it as a Christmas gift, if you want to get in at a lesser price because later on, this year or next year, we are coming back at some point to test back the previous top. Some call it black Friday for crypto shopping.

Jokes apart though, there is really nothing to worry about. You are welcome to the volatile world of crypto. It is a bloodbath out there right now and they happen once in a while. It will pass and forget anything else you are hearing.
Bitcoin price is really unpredictable. Im aware this is going to happen. As we all know bitcoin fluctuates anytime so its normal. There is nothing to be worry or afraid of this correction. In fact its a good opportunity to all traders out there. They buy low and sell high. Hopefully I become one of them soon,as of now im still in the process of learning things how to work out. I dont want to rush things so I make sure im well-prepared to do so.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: December 28, 2017, 05:00:33 PM
Bitcoin never hack by hacker but your bitcoin wallet can be hacked if someone know your wallet privet key or wallet password then your bitcoin wallet will be hacked.
I agree. Bitcoin is difficult to hacked by the hackers. Bitcoin is secure, and it is designed so that it’s basically impossible to guess the private key. Not unless they know all the important information regarding in bitcoin. Concerning your bitcoin, if you expose your private key to anyone, someone else might obtain your private key by getting into your email (if that’s where you keep it). So store your private key off-line on a piece of paper and keep it in your safety box.
507  Economy / Economics / Re: Five common mistakes made by Bitcoin users on: December 28, 2017, 03:44:52 PM
1. Do not remember electronic wallet password
2. Do not back up your wallet
3. Do not research new services
4. Buy and sell based on feelings
5. Leave your money in the electronic money floor
6. Waste time on faucets (we all did)
7. Collect dust and pay high fees on it
8. Leave coins in an exchange
9. Trust the wrong people and get scammed
10. Panic at a price correction
This is all absolutely true. And one more thing, investing in different sites without knowing or checking any background if its legit or not. Doing a panic selling is also one of the biggest mistake for some of bitcoin user. Patience is a key element of success. Always remember the best things in life comes to those who wait patiently.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: December 28, 2017, 01:14:59 PM
When my country ban bitcoin and when bitcoin is impossible to be purchased for being too expensive sometimes i scare about how if my assets got hacked by hacker.
My greatest fear as a bitcoin holder are if wallets can be lost or getting hacked. If a hard drive crashes, or a virus corrupts data, and the wallet file is corrupted, Bitcoins have essentially been "lost". And if bitcoin will crash its price to the point that it will take long to recover. Then if my country will inhibit to use bitcoin in every transaction.
509  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is like heroin on: December 27, 2017, 05:19:17 PM
Just like heroin or crack cocaine, it creates an addiction.

Same as was gambling

Many in here seem to have been caught up in it, spending far too much of their money on something. Partially to get the dopamine rush of buying more coin, and partially to satisfy their gambling lust hoping to score big.

It is no different than the people gambling their savings away on the roulette. Right now we are at the point where they have entered the casino and have been lucky, so they are up more money than they came. But instead of quitting while they are ahead they genuinely believe that their luck continues.

In the end it ends bad.
Its like a  heroin because a person become addicted but not to the point that its about making own self crazy or out of control that was the effect of heroin while in bitcoin a person get addicted in earning money, got addicted in reading threads to learn more about crypto business, addicted on believing that everyone who wants to be a part of this botcoin community will become rich or to be financially free someday..positive side of being addiction on bitcoin. Some also get addicted on gambling because they thought that its just an easy money but without knowing how far money goes if a person get hook up in gambling it might reach to a point that a person will be bankrupt if he can control hiself..thats also addiction.
We cannot deny the fact that yes it is addictive like heroin but the only difference is bitcoin can be so addictive in a way that it can help people to have a better lives. Its profitability way to earn wherever and whoever you are is already a great privilege for its user. Unlike heroin, it is a powerful illegal drug that is prohibited for medical use because of its euphoric effects. Heroin "abuse and dependence" produce serious medical side effects, which may directly or indirectly result in death.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think the Xmas and Holiday season, caused the drop in the price? on: December 27, 2017, 02:38:22 PM
Of course yes. the price as of today is not that high like last last week because they are now selling there  bitcoins just to have some things to buy in christmas season and new year as well. though the price is now low for sure it'll increase soon.

I guess yes. Holiday season is maybe one of the reason why bitcoin price drop. More people chose to sell their bitcoin to please themselves as well as their family and friends. But whatever the reason behind all this is let's not forget that it only dropping by and it will rise again. Remember, there is a rainbow after the rain. If can during this season, try to buy bitcoin at low price and hold. Since bitcoin has the characteristics of being volatile it has the ability to change its price any moment.
511  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: December 27, 2017, 01:39:31 AM
Why would you stop if you are really willing to buy, and have some "extra" money to buy more bitcoin. If you think it's really a perfect time for you to buy then its up to you. But I strongly suggest never put all your eggs in one basket. Never invest your money which you cannot afford to lose. Try to buy low and sell high. Anyway buying more bitcoin has a big advantage. Keeping it for a long-term will definitely bring you a good profit.
512  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Reason to Hold Gold And Bitcoin on: December 25, 2017, 08:58:23 PM
Gold and bitcoin are good investment, bitcoin still in early stage and unstable but it has the potential to grow bigger than gold, storing gold is good for long term investment, gold will always be valuable and will never be banned, investing in bitcoin got more risk than gold and invest in gold and bitcoin are better than fiat
The real reason to hold bitcoin and gold are it has both have a value. It's actually like an investment. Although both have different advantage and disadvantage, but still it's worth holding this two kind of asset. Holding and collecting gold through a jewelry is meaningful. It's worldwide accepted and will never fade. Bitcoin also is valuable. Even though it's not totally accepted in other country and still in the process of experimental but the good thing is it's price is unstoppable. It keeps on growing up every now and then. So I prefer to hold this two assets of mine.
513  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can Bitcoin be ban? on: December 25, 2017, 11:47:30 AM
It's absolutely yes, but it depends on the country's government. Some country did it before, but still Bitcoin continues to grow, and continues to be seen as a great store of wealth. They can ban bitcoin but they cannot totally kill it.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies make physical money disappear? on: December 25, 2017, 09:42:45 AM
it cant be happend. a lot of people dont know about bitcoin, and they still use regular money until now. if it change to cryptocurrencies, they will not use it (crypto) and maybe be poorman. except is there much of people who know about bitcoin and share the knowledge about bitcoin to them. and the problem, who want do that?
Yes that is not going to be so easy i think. Fiat currency is the need of the day and all round the world people still using fiat currency, while very few people may be using bitcoin or any other altcoin as optional. In fact still majority of people do not know about bitcoin and those people who know about it they do not have the opportunity to use bitcoin for purchasing everything. Therefore i think fiat currency will survive for a long long time.
Your right. It's hard to do. Mostly of the people are not aware that bitcoin is really exist. Specially here in my country. Not all the people here knows about bitcoin. They don't have any idea what benefit they can get in bitcoin. Also some governments didn't recognize bitcoin as a currency so it will be more difficult.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 on: December 23, 2017, 06:42:42 AM
Bitcoin is seem to have a pretty solid future ahead. Bitcoin price will continue to rise, for more years onward. And have the feeling that more places will start accepting bitcoin as their payment method. I think we have a bright future and have a good time to be alive. There are plenty of opportunities to make money from bitcoin.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do if Bitcoin Price Crashes on: December 23, 2017, 03:29:47 AM
It bitcoin crashes don't panic hold your btc and wait because it will rise up again soon. Its the best time to invest on bitcoin buy when dip to have good profit when it goes to the moon again.

Maybe if bitcoin crashes I would definitely buy some more bitcoin and hold it. Because I still believe that if bitcoin crashes its not to the point that it will lose all of its value. It will recover again.
But if ever it will crash down to zero, (which is not really gonna happen) and makes bitcoin to a sudden failure which puts a system out of action, that's the time that I would sell all of my bitcoin. But I believe its far from the reality.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is going down? on: December 22, 2017, 08:09:48 PM
Why bitcoin start going down and down will it goes below 10000$?
The basic reason of the price going down is because of the people who are selling or taking their profit ,
The bitcoin price depends on its demand so as the demand decrease the price would fall down but I think nobody knows if it could goes below $10,000.
As more people started selling, prices began to drop, then more people began to panic, creating a stampede that led to prices eventually collapsing. More people selling their bitcoins for cash for this holiday season that's why it suffer from price drop. In this time lets just hold and be patient because at the end bitcoin will recover and surge again.
518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Goes Down! Surprising or not on: December 22, 2017, 12:42:42 PM
I'm sure it's temporarily decrease and good time to buy Bitcoin
I expect Bitcoin to be 20 000 in the beginning of 2018, and may be up to 100 000 till the end.
Of course that's only my thought, but I saw similar opinion of popular people in this industry

Well Im not surprise if bitcoin price today is decreasing. Since bitcoin made to be as volatile, its normal to change its price anytime. Its either it goes up or down Im not wondering anymore. I know this sudden drop of bitcoin today is only temporary. And this is the perfect chance to buy more bitcoin and hold it till the price will back to normal.
519  Economy / Economics / Re: People are extremely biased towards bitcoin. on: December 22, 2017, 11:19:51 AM
Most people here and reddit will defend bitcoin no matter what instead of looking at the problems. Every time someone comments something about the speed or transaction fees they will just yell ''FUD'' or ''Another attack on bitcoin'' but it's not always that. I have been a strong supporter of bitcoin myself but we have to face it, it's not in a good position right now, sure the price is great but what else? Insane fees that are not getting solved any time soon? I know the demand is high but the ones that are buying are just buying to sell eventually not to support bitcoin, not to use it. The demand will eventually fade away and what do we have left? An outdated bitcoin that won't be able to compete with better coins.

No matter the situation on bitcoin it is on bitcoin alone if it is not the user's use is the problem probably change coin exchange it or sold. The demand is the one that criticizes more often. We average users have slow impact on bitcoin but on the other side that invests more than millions on bitcoin plays a huge role in it so it is not our problem if bitcoin losses value it is like life sometimes on top sometimes not.

Yes its true. As an avid supporters of bitcoin of course they keep on defending it no matter what. We can't deny the fact that bitcoin encounter some problem due to its high rate of fees. And we, as a user of bitcoin we have nothing to do with it. Its only bitcoin itself can solve its problem.  We are only here to support bitcoin along the way.
520  Economy / Economics / Re: Do crypto exchange rates matter? on: December 22, 2017, 01:22:29 AM
Yes definitely. Its exchange rate is very important for us. Of course we all want to have something big in return to our coins. We make sure to buy bitcoin in a low price and sell them at a high price. If not, we just keep on holding it for a long term investment so it can double nor triple our coins.
