516  Economy / Economics / Re: GERMANY CONSIDERS $5,450 LIMIT ON CASH TRANSACTIONS on: February 05, 2016, 03:38:57 PM
I wonder how they want to control that.
I mean, if I buy a used car for 10000$ and pay cash, would the seller say "No, that's against the law, I will go to the police"??

I think that limit is only about shops, if you buy it from another user and not from a car dealer you will not have this limit (and its anything that they can't control).

So in a deal private to private i can use as much as cash i want? Don't the vendor for example need a traceable payment to demonstrate the origin of the money recevied in cash? I'm talking about big deal

I don't know, but on big investment like buying a house, an appartment... , there are some legal documents that you need to register, and goverment could ask about the origin of the money.

I think that on big investment you can't buy it whit cash in the EU, you have to prove the origin of your funds and have a traceable payment for the deal. whitout this is too risky

Europe targets 500 euro bill as it fights terrorism

In the wake of the Paris attacks, European officials are stepping up their efforts to choke off funding for terrorists by going after large banknotes, virtual currencies such as Bitcoin and pre-paid cards.

“We have to ‘follow the money’ and cut off the resources these groups use to carry out their heinous crimes,” said Frans Timmermans, a senior official at the European Commission.

“By hitting them in their pockets we reduce their ability to travel, to buy weapons and explosives, to hide in our towns and cities, and to spread hate and fear online.”

Europe’s top law enforcement officials say the 500 euro banknote (worth about $546) makes life easier for criminals.

Finally! I hope so. I thin that the 1€/cents coins and 500€ banknote are useless, in some country you can't use more than 1000-2000 euro in cash to buy things, why the hell we need a banknote for 500€?

Because it's easier to have one bill in your pocket instead of five. It's about convenience. Would it be better if the biggest denomination would be the 50 euro one? Different sizes for different needs.

yes but for example when i was in Europe,i had a 500 bill,  I spent more than half a day to pay for something in a normal shop whit 500€, I finally changed in an exchanger, what's the sense if in italy for example i can't pay 1000€ in cash? 5x200€ is good enough in my opinion
520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market ended. Now going to $500 on: February 05, 2016, 02:02:18 PM
Bear market's now over guys.

Get ready for the $500 and then $1000  Grin
i think you are wrong now price is slight down and probably drop to below $350, i dont think bitcoin can reach $500 until middle of this year

I don't think that your suggestion goes right, because even those days of sudden fall it doesn't touched 350$. It may take time to reach 500$. Now its not a time to expect growth to 500$

There is strong buying support below $350. There are many whales waiting to buy at that price. The price will go higher next month.

Yes, i think 350$ is a level where a lot of people would buy, the train left the station, who is on is one, the others behind
