AUTO-SHARE

(Set auto-share to 0 to disable it)
Use this to automatically share a percentage of your referral commissions with your referrals every week before payouts are made

Just to make sure, does auto-share option pay % of ref earnings made only in particular week or % of total ref earnings?

it only shares a percentage of the commissions earned in that week (since the last auto-payout).

OK. Thanks.

What about the lottery? There are 10 prizes, are these restricted to one prize per account, or can someone (i.e. with million tickets) win few/all of them?

As the lottery rules on the website state, a single user can only win one prize in a lottery round.
503  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: July 29, 2015, 05:56:00 AM
Rewards are not dependent on the country, its based on the bitcoin price (from bitstamp).

Even though the website sends out emails to people who win big prizes or lottery prizes asking them to post about their win in this forum or on reddit, I have found that most people simply do not do it. I do not understand why but it is ultimately their choice.

My Thought about lottery, My opinion is that instead of 7 days, Make a result draw everyday, The amount may be small but it will increase the chances for everyone. 7 days is good time but I still believe that reducing that to 1 day will surely increase your revenues and the chances of winning for everyone Smiley

My opinion was that people would want to wait for a few days for a chance to win big. With a daily lottery, the top prize would only be about 0.10 BTC. I am currently working out a way to run a daily lottery along with the weekly one and people will be able to choose where they wish to use their tickets.

Some of you may have noticed the new homepage re-design. It should help improve the conversion rate for referrals. Over the coming days, I shall be working on re-designing the internal pages as well to make the website easier to use and make it look better.

Let me know if you or your referrals run into any issues with the website. I have tested it on most browsers for compatibility.

Could you explain the logic behind your bitcoin wallet having a minimum deposit limit of 0.01 BTC? And even then, why do you keep any deposits below that amount but not credit it to a user's account balance instead of refunding it? You seem to promote yourself as a wallet service so a minimum deposit limit is kinda absurd. It would be understandable if you were only an exchange.

3 lucky winners won 1,74 BTC, 0.87 BTC and 0.45 BTC in the lottery yesterday! A new round has now started and round 3 onwards will have 5 winners instead of 3!

I shall also set up a daily lottery as quite a few users have requested it.

I checked the site and saw about that lottery, how that works? Is it draw or by highest ticket will win it?

Click the 'CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS' link on the lottery page. That will explain how it works.

the new lottery is amazing , I really love this new idea
but I think you change the new claim button after rolling and solving the captcha
some times I roll and forget to press claim cause it's new

I am in the process of changing it with something easier just now. Should be active in the next 1-2 hours.
cant you just remove that button and leave it the same as it was before? it would be easier for people to claim it

Now there is a button before rather than after. Cannot remove the button because the lottery has brought in a whole new bunch of bot users so this is a way to block atleast some of them.

Hello! Do you plan to create freeliteco.in?

Sorry no plans for any alt-coin faucets at the moment.

The lottery is taking off much better than I expected. The top prize might reach close to 2 BTC!

Added a new weekly lottery game to the faucet. You will get 2 free tickets for every FREE BTC roll you play and 1 free ticket for every roll your referrals play. Prizes will be drawn every 7 days and 3 people will win. The more people play the faster the prizes increase. I expect the top prize to cross 1 BTC easily.

Depend of many captcha you can insert, because you can use a faucet with tor  Grin

Tor publishes a list of IP's of all their outgoing nodes so it is pretty trivial to block them.
518  Local / Press & News from India / Re: **IMPORTANT**URGENT** Support needed to defend the stance of bitcoin in India on: May 09, 2015, 03:27:18 PM
I cannot understand why you are interacting with a government agency on behalf of your business (that is a custodian of identity and financial data) without using a lawyer. It just seems funny that a government agent is asking you to do what is supposed to be their job, and you seem to be happily complying. What you should be doing instead is searching for a lawyer who is knowledgeable enough about bitcoin and having him on retainer to defend your company as and when required.

What you are doing now is essentially similar to breaching the trust your customers had placed in you when providing you with their personal data. Remember, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. If the government official thinks a crime has been committed, they need to follow the proper procedures outlined for them to investigate it, not hassle you. If they need information from your company, they need to produce a court order (or it's equivalent in India). Of course, these are things your lawyer will be able to tell you more about. It's not guilty people who use a lawyer, it's the sensible ones.

For a company that is as well funded as yours, your behaviour is very shocking.

Before thinking about starting a faucet consider the fact that you will get your first payment from adsense after about 2 months (depends on when you launch it but the minimum will be 1 month and a few days) so you should have enough reserves to pay users until then.

Then if your faucet suddenly becomes popular, you will need to pay out the increased number of claims but will only get money from the extra traffic after 1-2 months.

For example, with freebitco.in I paid out $50,000+ worth of bitcoins before I received a single cent from adsense.

Also, be prepared to get bank accounts closed if your faucet becomes popular and you have to buy a bunch of bitcoins on a regular basis, so you need to have multiple backup options so that it does not affect your users.

From the outside it may seem like a simple thing to do, but there are many complications with running a faucet. This is why you see so many new ones popping up everyday and shutting down soon after.

Oh and be prepared to lose tens of thousands of dollars to fraud if your faucet becomes popular. You need to be able to implement fraud checking systems and tweak them regularly to minimize theft, which is not something that you can do with a pre-built faucet script. You either need to be able to program yourself or have someone you trust to be able to do it for you.

All free roll prizes increased by 50% till 5 pm UTC on the 30th of April to compensate for the issues some users were having with not being able to play.
