Just hold, best thing you can do, if you sell and LTC price is going back up again you'll be very unhappy.
LTC is a solid coin, great dev behind it.
They may have good dvs behind LTC, but it still doesn't add any real features that bitcoin does not already provide to users and bitcoin is many times more secure then LTC is. The feature LTC offers is a secure blockchain. BTC got a secure blockchain and LTC will have a seperate secure blockchain when the hashrate have increased sufficient. That is were the the value in LTC is and why the value will increase long term. Features can be buildt on a secure blockchains, but are worthless on insecure coins (every other). If they both have a secure blockchain then why would you want to deal with the blockchain that is less secure (LTC)? Not only that but bitcoin is much more widely adopted and followed by the press, so any merchant that accept bitcoin would essentially get free advertising while a merchant that accept LTC would not. Think a few years ahead. To be a simple currency will not be the most important function for either BTC og LTC.

maybe PPC is finally dead? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I hope not. It is actually one of my favorite coins. It was the first coin to implement proof-of-stake. And there is still plenty of development going on, e.g. Peershares. Check out peercointalk.org. And if you havent already, buy as many peercoins as you can. The only coin beside btc, and ltc that is worth holding.

It seems that Peercoin.net is the official site. Typing Peercoin.org redirects to Localbitcoins.com and typing Peercoin.com redirects to Litecoin.org. Does anyone know why this is the case?
That Peercoin.com is redirected to the official litecoin site is really bad PR for litecoin. They should give the domain to peercoin if they control it.

That part I get. So it's no 'help to the network' to have it on all day? And why so resource hungry?
My CPU use is 0% after it is done syncing.

Right, you should be skeptical. It is posted here https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anoncoin_Wiki(but I made the edit) and it was discussed in the #anoncoin IRC channel about an hour ago. I'll make sure to get him, or one of the other developers to confirm this here. You seem like an honest person, but some precautions are really needed on this forum. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I got a suggestion for a promotion. POS minting should get more attention. Most importantly pos minting improves the network security, secondly it removes coins from the exchanges which both reduce the sell pressure and stops cryptsy (and others) to mint and sell the POS blocks.
A promotion concerning POS would help educate CGB holders and bring more attention to why we should mint and how to mint. If CGB one day reach its full potential and goals, a single CGB would definitely be worth minting for.
I don't know how it should be done. But maybe something as simple as a competition where people post screens shots where they have solved a POS block, and a random winner is picked for a prize?

Anoncoin is now accepting donations:Acoin7tkEib9d8BfomQYUK66z5fhwN3DgV Most of your donations will be used for the setting up of bounties for public relations work, but some may also be used for specific code development tasks as well. Specific bounties that we envision for the immediate future include - Creation of press releases

- Web design and support.
As soon as enough ANC has been donated, we will set up a dedicated page describing the conditions attached to these bounties. For your info, the above public address is owned by the lead developer, Meeh. I would not send anything before it is confirmed that Meeh control that adress. I will donate when is is confirmed. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Thanks TamB, I would like to stress how important it is for everyone to vote for this exchange. This will let us get into the Asian market in a big way and could really help promote EAC. This exchange will introduce Earthcoin to many new investors that may have never heard of EAC. There is a minimum amount of trading that is required to vote from your btc38 account, approximately .42 BTC. Join up, deposit and trade .42BTC for CNY, and immediately trade the CNY back to BTC and withdraw it. This will allow you to vote. If everyone that is able spends just .01 BTC voting (as I have) we will be added to the site. Mintpal will be next ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) We sent up a BTC donation pot for those who have a few satoshis to contribute to this effort to get EAC accepted on BTC38 but perhaps don't want to vote; you'll get an EAC tip for your support! Details: https://earthcointalk.org/forums/topic/please-vote-for-eac-on-btc38/#post-7585Earthcoin is still in the lead on btc38 voting! The community is doing a great job of getting us voted up! There is another coin close on our heels and catching up, so if you haven't voted, or donated to the voting, now is the time!Bump!! If you hold earthcoin you should really donate for this cause. There is a lot of development going on behind the scenes. And to get this much exposure in the chinese market at this time would mean a great deal. If you don't hold any earthcoins you should buy some and donate. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

CGB Investors Q. Does the minting function work? A. Yes it does. (like a champ!)Small problem is unlocking the wallet. No button. Easy to fix just use the console command. walletpassphrase <passphrase> <timeout> And since there is almost no one minting you will find a block very fast. Free coins for anyone who bothers. I really don't understand why people keep their coins on the exchanges. You are giving away your pos blocks, but even worse, you are giving a lot of coins to cryptsy who are minting and dumping.

Can we implement a TOP100 wallet explorer? It would be nice to know what amounts people are holding ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . Mintpal probably holds at least 50% ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Quarkcoin is a scam coin ! Please don't be stupid.
And if i recall you already have bought some so don't shill around again and let this crap coin die !!
Quarkcoin was an obvious scam. But the fact that they are still standing and still working hard developing the coin after the price crashed 94% have made me reconcider. I dont consider quark a scam any more. Compared to obvious scams like darkcoin and nxt it would be quite unfair towards quark calling it a scam at this time.

Thats not a big loss. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Just hold. It will recover. Whatever you do, dont buy darkcoin.

Hi guys!!!
Time for an update on the sponsorship for the jaguar rescue center project. First of all…the community collected 100 000 EAC for the center. A few months ago, these 100 000 EAC were a nice amount of money, about 400$ at some point. Unfortunately, EAC went through some rough times and today these 100 000 EAC are worth about 1,3$... The most important thing though, is that every donated EAC is a sign of a warm hearted community!!!
So, what’s next? Our plans did not change because of this! We will still support EAC, as promised! We leave for Costa Rica, the 5th of september and will be working as volunteers in the Jaguar Rescue Center for 1 month. We will be wearing EAC t-shirts during our work with the animals and post some of these movies on youtube. Afterwards, we can use the material to make a promotional film or something like that! We will also post pictures and movies in the main forum on bitcointalk. I’m also open for new ideas in order to promote EAC!
Regards
Robbie & Debbie
You are doing an amazing job! I just sent a donation of 100.000 earthcoins so you atleast dobble the amount you have collected. Let us just hope that it will be worth a lot more some time in the future, so it can come to good use. I hope someone else follows my example. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Their donation adress is: ejJ11oG5dCy2pvBK7r7HCLTTDYBcSLweQb Source for verification: http://jaguarrescue-earthcoins.123website.be

FYI, we have a winner in the name Earthcoin's smallest denomination contest - he's been contacted to receive his EAC 700K.
The satoshi equivalent for EAC will be 'grain.' So 0.00000001 EAC = 1 Grain.
As you may know, a 'grain' was an ancient measurement, based on a grain of wheat, for denoting the smallest part of a troy ounce of gold and other systems for weighing gold.
I see your reason to invent the name for the smallest unit of Earthcoin. I see your reason not to use Satoshi for that. The only thing I can't understand is why you picked another coins name? Yes, this word is not registered tm or whatever, but it is already used by the Grain Coin longer than Earthcoin blockchain exist. Yes, we know that. The community nominated that name, among others, and the community voted for this name; so we accepted it. Graincoin is dead. Zero exchanges = market cap of 0. Not that it matter. "Stop judging, so that you won't be judged" Not judging anything and i really didn't mean to offend. I understand that it might seem a bit harsh if you are holding a bag of grain, but it is still facts. Anyway, sorry for offending you.
