Yup, WTA is unfortunately void. Sometimes this happens - the odds were quite low so we took a calculated risk with this one.
Still, 9 questions are more than enough to find the winners Smiley

I would have played her winning with 2 lost sets, so I do feel a bit lucky that this happened.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 25, 2024, 02:59:43 PM
That's going to be some sick payout for first place, though even 10th place is going to net some small fortune for the lucky one. 8 rounds left, I'm not sure what to do with strategy so I'll just stick it in like I usually do.

Not related (or is it?) but the recent Liverpool Legends match was some kind of spectacle, apparently. Didn't watch but read plenty of reports. Does make one feel truly old to see and recall every one of the players who showed up for Sven... I completely forget El Zhar ever played for us!

Considering I'm sitting in 3rd overall yeah - seems nice from this point of view. Hopefully I stay there Grin

Regarding the legends game - it was nice to see Torres and Gerrard in action again. But yeah - I'm kinda annoyed to see El Zhar, Gonzalez and co in such games.
Sure, I get it, they wouldn't be able to assemble the team otherwise - but I think El Zhar doesn't have a single goal or assist as a winger for LFC. Gonzalez isn't much better - it just looks too bizarre.

Spearing is at least a meme and a homegrown guy - although funny to see him there as well.

Next week the clocks in Europe will be set forward 1 hour. Will the deadline be 17:00 gmt forum time again?

I think it will be 19:00 GMT, no?
I'm really horrible with timezones though - but we'll do our research by then Smiley

The spreadsheet has been graded, Purdue shockingly took the freebet away from me - I don't recall somebody with 7 points not getting it.
Well, I'm here for the wins anyway, not some meaningless side rewards.

Please doublecheck results - I really hate grading it from work. Someone always interrupting, small screen etc. I doublechecked tho so should be fine.
Trofo will update the tables in the afternoon.

Freebet winners are:

Division 1 - mitchr4 (40$ freebet)
Division 2 - Hhampuz (30$ freebet)
Division 3A - B1g4udge (10$ freebet)
Division 3B - shogun47 (10$ freebet)

As already mentioned, these will be credited next week.

OK man, thanks. I suggest you edit your answer and delete the part where you mention how you answered, your opponent can see it now and use it against you.

The form has been reopened, thanks Slissy for the save. It's actually impressive how dedicated you fellas are Grin

Hhampuz, PedroCunhaYori - please send me your revised answers in PM and I'll manually change them. Q7 has 1 different game, it was Atletico (vs Villarreal) which has now been switched to Juventus (vs Lazio).

If something else is f%&ked up, blame my screaming children. I do.

i did read through the questions quickly and looked at question no 7 where the match was mentioned, Atletico (vs Villarreal) this match will be played on Monday April 1st.. Will this match still count?

Shit, of course not. Give me a second.

Was good to see Verstappen out, it leads to more interesting races. Ferraris did well and took what was offered, but I do feel it will once again be RB's season.

We have 2 Asian races next - Verstappen was convincing in Japan last season but China will be interesting - it's returning after a 5-year pause.

We have to wait for Italy's friendly and March Madness to finish, so the results will be in tomorrow.
Freebet winners will be announced then as well, and those freebets will be credited the Monday after this one - so not next week.

The questions for Round 4 are here!

The deadline is the usual one, Tuesday March 26th, 18:00 GMT.

Croatia winning on penalties, nothing new here Smiley Not important for BSFL but it was the game I watched.

I watched Engalnd - Brazil and France - Germany, but heard we were boring again.
I was surprised to see penalties being shot, it's quite rare in friendlies. I do support it, especially before big competitions, and I'm really not sure why more teams don't do it.

Great week for me as I'll be scoring my 2nd consecutive 3 points
Really expecting to finish Top 2 this season; anything else would be unacceptable

Yeah, you can finish 2nd, I'm fine with that Grin

_____________________

Regarding the 3-0 thing - well, it's more meant to punish the offender with another -3 GD to an already deducted point than to reward the guy getting a freebie.
Some things we unfortunately can't balance - it's the same like when a great team rotates against a relegation struggling one and loses - you just have to accept it.

slaman29's idea, although good, isn't something we're looking at. We plan to punish those that don't submit harder and harder as the seasons go by, not give them another chance of a win later on.

New format won't be able to help
...

I honestly feel it will make things even worse. We'll have 10 meaningless games instead of 6, and there will be important games in the middle of the table but nobody will really care about them.
The reasoning for them is simple though - more games means more money. The big clubs will find it way easier to rotate though, so we'll once again wait for the groups to finish. This time it will just last longer and bore us even more.

I feel the new CL format will just speed up the Superleague format by a few years. Well played, UEFA.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 23, 2024, 06:03:36 PM
@Trofo @cryptofrka What happens if the actual scoreline is better than 3-0 in a walkover win, will that be counted? I guess not really, but just curious if this ever happened to anyone Smiley

Nope, as Harkorede said, 3-0 is quite generous already. We might even tone it down in the future, football has it as 3-0 so we used that one but in real football it never really happens, while in BSFL it does.
The thing is that if you get 5 correct ones, you feel 'hey' I would have won this 5-0, this is unfair', while in reality you'd probably win 5-3, or even draw/lose.

I feel that 3-goal differences are quite rare in BSFL so yeah, 3-0 is the best you get. Maybe not even that in the future Grin
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 23, 2024, 03:09:57 PM
On paper Ukraine will be a favorite against Iceland, but they weren't that good against Bosnia.Taking them @1.45 odds or similar makes no sense to me.

Taking Poland against Wales at 3 odds (or something similar) on the other hand looks really tempting.
Wales is playing at home and in such games that can also be negative for their tactics.

I'd say Greece, Ukraine and Poland end up qualifying.

A lot of questions this week getting decided in last seconds. I was also waiting for that Fenerbahce win to keep my perfect record, shame it didn't come.
I have 4/5 so far but can still lose the tie, which would be crazy.

March madness started good for the favorites, UConn with +39 followed by Houston's +40.
Purdue's lagging a bit, they won with +28. Let's see what the next round of games brings.

I know, I was sort of with him when he won it. he remembered he can play it after I complained once more about the way I lost. In my race, horse that came first had odds over 80. Talk about missed opportunity.

I think this is the new one, that's why I tagged you. He keeps winning all of them Grin

Thanks for the reminder. As I said before place your money on the funny named horse and win. I placed my bet on the horse named sports machine which is just like me and I won. It is the greatest promotion I have ever seen so far. I have won nearly 700 usdt until now and I didn't need to deposit for this.

I'm just casually gonna tag Trofo here, so that he does not miss this..

And you really get money from your Signature Manager and from the Livecasino you advertise for these insults?

Yes he will, we don't give a shit about some minor disputes.
I've seen nothing wrong here, you asked for votes, votes come with opinions and it seems to me you're the one handling it immaturely.

Igebotz is one of the better posters in gambling sections and his strong opinions bring some color (pun intended) to a forum filled with ChatGPT bots.

Alright Partizan is officially out of the race already because of the recent loss

Nope, not really - they are actually in a decent position.
Valencia is currently in 10th position on equal points with 1 game less, and +1 point GD compared to Partizan - meaning if they lose, they will switch places and Partizan will go to 10th place.

Valencia is playing Monaco away from home and it's expected they will lose the game.

I'd say EA/ has the best chance - they have to win against Fenerbahce at home. If they lose, I think Partizan will be 10th.

Perhaps let him sell his place to avoid what's to come as this triggers so many changes ATM Roll Eyes

Mafia agrees with this! cryptofrka express return to the elite!
Joking ofc, as Trofo said, we'll wait a bit and see if his decision is final. If he's not back by the end of S04 and does not confirm his place in Div2, 1 more team from Div3 will celebrate promotion.

I'm a point ahead after EURO qualifiers (thanks Wales), basketball looks decent too although I feel it will be EA7 who'll get the 10th place. Still early, but looking promising for me.

Did not expect such easy wins from Wales and Iceland. They do have another set of difficult games though - Wales is hosting Poland while Ukraine is playing Iceland on 'home' ground in Poland.

In the last game remaining Greece should have an easy job against Georgia. I actually hoped Liechtenstein would go through, they played above all expectations in the group stage.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2024 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: March 21, 2024, 09:57:29 PM
Can Sainz race if Bearman does the qualifiers? Really unsure what the rules are in that specific situation and I've heard that is the likely outcome.

To be honest, even if Sainz is permitted to race without doing qualifiers, I'd let Bearman go for it. If he's in the car tomorrow, he should be on Sunday too.
