Hello gentlemen! Just a quick update to say that I've been trialling several different ideas for the final 2 match days. Unfortunately, because I'm trying to implement it in the middle of the tournament, the existing format (practically, the way the spreadsheet is coded into a template) will be difficult and expensive (hey, someone needs to get paid to work haha).

So, Matchday 9 submissions will include the 1x2 results of the first leg QFs, and additional options to put your stake on. The odds for those options will likely be guided by known probabilities, but they will probably have boosted "odds", probably based entirely on my arbitrary reading of teams.

Matchday 10 will be the first leg QFs AND some heavily boosted odds for the Final (heavy, because there's no way of really knowing who'll be playing at the time, but it ensures a bigger reward for those making picks for the final at only the first leg SF stage

I know that I dont even have any chance on POT B anymore but Im excited for sure with these new additional options

I know who received $100 freebet but $900 is missing in action

This is going to be interesting and maybe there is a chance for everyone to take a shot and win the first place with big reward.
Some improvements is needed for next season, but I think you learned from this year experience.

I don't think Pot B leaders now would care much right now as the changes will be implemented next season and in fact I think adding more games is beneficial to Pot B lovers who like to not go all in finding upsets but play consistently trying to make 20 or more points and hoping to get a place in the big prize spots.

Luckily this upcoming week we are back in Champions League and we are getting closer to the end,only 10 games or 12 in total.

And rightly so should they be, because implementing additional or extra match days now would be highly unfair to them, maybe extra options to stake on might not be as unfair because the possibilities of that was mentioned before the beginning or at the early stages into the pool kickoff.

Since each Match days was determined by the official game rounds as it also is in the pot A, the interval and how long it takes for one match day to get concluded is irrelevant and not a mistake imo, more so it's just the maiden season of the pot B, so there is no way to get it all near perfect, however, I think it should get even better as it progresses, especially with how widely received the new format is.

Gentlemen, Champions League is back next week and I'm putting up the questions early for MatchDay 9 Pot B, only because it's a slightly different style for Pot B. It's fairly straightforward, so shouldn't need extra explanation but, you'll be able to stake points on:

- the regular 1X2 outcomes for the First Leg matches
- "bonus outcomes" for the Second Leg matches

Odds are lifted off Rollbit.com for the 1x2 First Leg outcomes. For Second Leg outcomes, I've taken some liberties -- some of these markets don't exist, but are based partially on 1st leg odds. I tried to give about 30-40% "boosts" on these, given that they are much riskier picks to make without knowing what can happen from now until the 2nd leg.

Feel free to ask questions to clarify, but it's really the same format. 10 points, which you are free to stake on any and all outcomes, 1 outcome per Match.

Matchday 10 will feature similarly:
- 1X2 outcomes for the First Leg
- "Bonus Outcomes for the Second Leg
- and Mega Bonus Outcomes for each of the 4 SF teams if they appear in the final!

Actually, you leaders might like this. It adds extra temptation for people to go for crazy odds, preventing more and more people from creeping up on you

I hope you like what I worked out. Odds aren't available for the second leg, and since 1X2 will largely depend on 1st leg results, I couldn't really make guesses on odds, so I tried to put outcomes that aren't (I hope) impacted too much by first leg results.

You've no idea how happy I am to read this kind of feedback -- I think there are several people pushing the boundaries of what's possible in a text forum, and if this experiment contributes to that, we're all winning!

Yep, that's a problem with us humans, isn't it? Our minds are stuck in decimal positioning. Everything must be in 10s to "look nice". Next season is going to need a lot more creativity for sure.

Thank you for the notification. I've submitted my picks. I did look at the bonus picks, and to me, totally easy to understand, it's just like picking another match but with not 1X2 outcomes, I think it's fine for me

I think you have done a brilliant job last match day as you climbed up 8 positions,I believe you got that Real Madrid draw right where almost everyone else got it wrong.I think that if you improvised your results during last round you got lucky and if you keep doing the same the risk is high to not be as lucky this time,nevertheless the higher the risk the higher the reward as they say.

The 2nd leg picks look interesting, there are some odds discrepancies that I will try to use - you danced around with it pretty well but I feel some are a bit off

Some things need to be clarified though. Examples:

For all 2nd legs - does potential ET count?
- Bayern - Arsenal option 1
- Man City - Real options 1 and 2
- Borussia - Atletico all 3 options
- Barcelona - PSG options 1 and 2

For Borussia - Atletico game, what does the following mean?
Dortmund 6+ shots on goal (4)

I assume it is shots on target, shots on goal can be easily misunderstood.

Thank you for the comment, yes, I certainly took some liberties and where I thought no one would make a pick, I added some extra spicy bounce, definitely some of the odds are quite outsized, but they're still unlikely outcomes anyway

All second leg Bonus Outcomes include potential Extra Time, unless otherwise specified, yes! I've now specified in the outcomes where ET won't count.

To clarify, "shots on goal" means shots on target, yes. I didn't realise that could be misunderstood, but thank you for pointing that out! I've made all these clarifications into the questions now now.

After Bayern Munich gave away the game against Heddenheim today, now they have nothing left but Champions League.

Of course Leverkusen won the title already everyone knows that but now thanks to Bayern, Leverkusen need only 1 more win, IINM, and that means they can fully focus on the Treble.

We still only have 9 submissions, but I know majority will come in on the day itself, I'll be a nice guy and send a reminder if I remember -- it's really quite pointless I feel to wait, too little could change to truly affect outcomes. Except if Mbappe, Lewandowski or even Simeone get themselves ineligible to play/coach, them being part of Bonus Outcome selections.

I'll be watching Europa though -- it looks like we'll be clashing with Leverkusen if we make it to the final, who'll probably be fresh off winning Bundesliga.

If Arsenal does not win at home against a Bayern Munchen that is beaten by a weak team like Heidenheim in their local Bundesliga then I don't know what to think of them,in fact it is dangerous as they barely won against a Porto which honestly is weaker than Bayern Munchen so for Pot B for the guys looking to make something up the odd of 5 to Bayern Munchen so far is a great option to try out,it can give anyone 50 points if they go all in to Bayern Munchen which would not be a big surprise considering how bad Arsenal played against Porto.I will think about and put my response to Pot B tonight just one day before the games start.

I am thinking to go with all in for Manchester City as the only time I didn't got any points in Pot B was because of Real Madrid so it is mostly for revenge to Real although I can also go for Real Madrid to win half of my stake and for Bayern to win the other half which would catapult me many places above if it hits.Of course these remains just ideas but this would be being inventive and trying my luck in order to finish in the prize spots.

I do the homework left by buwaytress and fill my points. I was really temped by someone of the news odd based options but i only ended up using the Borussia Dortmund one.

Anyways i know in that pot im was far below, and my chances are full in pot A to chase some pay positions.
