I think I use some of the threads and posts as an alternative bit of social interaction. Sometimes I spend quite long hours on the computer, and it makes a nice break. Often if I visit people, they seem to have the TV on all the time, and it isn't very often that there is anything interesting on there. Then I might get involved in researching things like the Knights Templar, and their subsequent evolution into controlling the EU and the UK amongst other countries. It's quite difficult to introduce that into a social conversation, as most people don't seem to go much further than talking about Trump's hairstyle or similar topics of world shattering importance. They also seem to be more concerned with the colour and decoration of their face masks, rather than their efficacy.
I stopped watching tv 8-9 years ago and I feel the same about it like you. I purposely turn the tv if it is on in my living room when I have people coming. I hate when I talk to people and they are half listening, half watching tv and not really engaged into a conversation. Naturally in that kind of environment and that type of people you can't hope to have a proper meaningful conversation, let alone reach topics like Templar Knights and such. My bubble of friends has shrinked to one hand in the last 5 years especially and to be honest it feels much better that way. You don't waste energy on zombies and energy vampires, focus more on yourself and talk only when you really want to. No more listening to shit about daily stuff that is spoon fed to regular Joe's. |

I agree with you. No number of courses about trading, patterns, indicators and such won't prepare you for trading properly if you avoid the most important segment and that is psychology. Yes it will help in seeing things more clearly, to avoid some mistakes you most likely wouldn't if you didn't learn about trading. All this things won't help you though to prepare yourself mentally for trading. To have your mindset adequately set to have the strenght to control you emotions in some important trades, to stick to the essential rules of trading psychology that you have to develop and nurture all the time. I sometimes had to make the same mistake to be able to implement it in my brain and be able to say no to FOMO or FUD, greed, fear and lots of other things that cause you to make mistakes. Reading Art of War helped me in the past with my poker and it also helped me with trading in the near past, I use it as a tool that centers me and calms my mind, makes me think clearer and with more direction and focus. |

You mentioned good points, but you forgot the first rule in investing, which is not to invest after you know that the wave has gone up. Many people think with their emotions when the price rises, they think that the green color is an indication that the price will continue to rise, and then the price may have reached the summit of the wave or it may be close to collapse.
Therefore, if you want to invest in Defi scam wave projects, I suggest that you risk some projects that have red color instead of the green one.
Not just red color , that can also be a death trap like YAM was. You should do proper research if you are going for long term, which I wouldn't with 99% of the new Defi projects. If we are talking about trying to skim some of the top with short term investing then you can search for Defi projects that have solid fundamentals, that bring reasonable service to the sector and have low mcap with room to grow. That way you can find some gems that you can use to get some short term profits and leave fast. Ofc risk is high even if you do all this, but I'd rather throw in 50-100 bucks here and there for a chance to earn some profits by investing in some potentially lucrative project then miss it. What happened:: Fake Cloud mining website offering up to 30% return after 7 days for example. They claim to make all of their profits from cloud mining and that way they repay the customers this crazy returns they are promising...Clearly a scam. I think Ferrari will suffer a heavy humiliation in their home race this year.Their car speed is really ridiculous and in a track where the engine power is king I think all other cars will have a big advantage over Ferrari.One thing is sure I would never want to be in Vettel or Leclerc place for this race.
I agree with you, it will be hard to watch, but they have to try to get as much as they possibly can from this one. At least show some fighting spirit, put up a fight, try some alternative strategy and mix it up during the race. Fans already know this season is gone down the drain, but would appreciate to see some fighting spirit at least. |

Pep is always tinkering with his squad and I am sure he already has everything figured out in his head. If Messi goes to City there will be adjustments from both parties but I expect them to click and produce results almost immediately. I am thinking Pep would play Messi as a false 9, while at Barca he destroyed Real in one game with Messi playing just that position. City has world class players on the flanks and this kind of tactics would suit them perfectly. If Aguero isn't fit striker position is a bit weak, Jesus never really shined there so this is another point for false 9 theory.
Only problem is Messi defensive running, he has been outputting seriously low numbers in this category, worse and worse every year. That could possibly prove a problem for City.
I agree with you in general. Messi and Pep combo is the key, not so much Man City, though the quality and depth it has is a clear advantage for Pep. Pep knows how to use Messi and he will adjust both Messi and tactics to produce. It will be instant as you said, cause they both know how to do it, plus Man City is already like Barca 2, with more substance. |

I don't know why this is happening in your country but for sure a VPN can be used to start the game you want to play.

The Clippers are currently 44-20 and are the second seed in the Western Conference, Clippers and Lakers have played each other three times this season. Clippers got the first two, at all i would go with Clippers.

I want to see how the Leeds team will play if they are strong fighters so I believe in the first division there will be more challenges especially when they buy players to focus more on defending in the first division.
Honestly, I don't think why the Leeds game but the crowd supports it. Will they be better in the EPL? The transfer season is now hot so as much as possible Leeds can recruit even better players.
A new rumour is that they are looking to sign Borna Barisic from Glasgow Rangers too, would be a quality signing for sure as I track that player for a while now and he has good things to offer. Scots play similar style of football to Premiership so he would not have trouble adapting to the league. |

This season is already a foregone conclusion. There is no medicine or remedy that could help Ferrari during this season, all they can do is try to create chaos with other teams about Merc's DAS and similar other technical legalities to try to get more even ground for the next season. Just like Merc did to them last season and ruined them for this one. |

It's 2020 and people are aware about ponzi. Those who are still a victim of this scheme know what's the risk of entering this kind of scheme. They just pretending blind on the risk because they are greedy for the short term profit. This is just like leverage trading, why people still using x100 leverage if they know it's high risk? Answer is because of short term profit.
I have no problem on creating tons of new thread of ponzi here. What I want to correct is the chance of saving people from ponzi scheme is not that high because they know what they are risking and telling them that it's scam. I have many friends that still into it even though they saw many warning thread about it. Ponzi is an obvious scam just like DeFi coin that offering 1000%APR.
There are some people that are exactly like you describe them and just risk because of the greed even though they understand that they can lose money, but there are still people that don't know how scam looks like or what is ponzi, no matter how unbeliveable that sounds to most of us. Same as lots of people freely give their personal info for KYC as they know nothing about privacy or think that they simply don't have anything to lose by giving their info like that. Education, spreading awareness and showing examples by exposing scams is the only way to change it. Whether creating a lot of topics in scam accusations creates more chaos or not, whether by users creating their own compilation topics like @examplens would be more beneficial, I'm not quite sure. My opinion is that it is easier to finds it by using google if there is a topic with the name of the scam in the title then if it is inside a compilation topic. Also not really sure how it would look like if each member that finds a scam and wants to report it creates his own compilation topic? |

I am also tipping Chelsea and Arsenal as the EPL title contenders too, Arsenal lately has proven to be a force to reckon with in EPL toward the end of last season their form improved and with Abumeyang signing an improved contract while boasting the team with some new signings with the likes of willian and Gabriel, Arteta had really done done a good job with the team.
Chelsea had also made some good signing however those new players adapting to premiership style of play might take some time and also those players settling down to understand each other is another obstacle to be overcome.
Liverpool aren't going to find it easy this time around defending their EPL title it going to be tough for them this season many teams EPL team must have made some tactical changes to their team in a bid to defeat Liverpool.
Chelsea brought in a lot of new players so we will have to see how will that work out and if they will need to time to adapt.I do think that Chelsea, if things work out, has the potential to fight for the title. Arsenal, not so much, they won against Liverpool, but when it comes to full season I don't see that they can keep it at the high level that long. |
