501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 10, 2023, 06:45:06 PM
Damn. Rain is at it again screwing another possibly entertaining match. I bet on South Africa to win the series against India primarily since it's their backyard and Indian bowlers will have a tough time against their firepower.

Am more eager to watch the test series between both teams since I am curious if India can create a new record.

When it comes to bilateral series then India could be the strongest team to defeat in the limited overs format but considering the Indian squad which is not their first tier squad for t20 and ODI so they got some test for them in the bouncing pitches which is entirely different from Indian pitches.

Well, I am eager too for the test match because its been a while to get the complete action of a test match so this could be the one I am willing to kill my time while enjoying the solid defenses if there is any.

Loading rupee is just flawless, no error at all, but I just went with the smallest denomination possible 2 while irony is there is literally zero merchant in my entire district.

Neither here. Once apps are stable rbi may promote it, also interoperability with upi should help with adoption.

I am now thinking, people may actually use the eruppe just like UPI because UPI apps like Gpay, Phonepe started to make profits with something called platform fee for payments like recharges and purchases so now users has actually a reason to use eruppee apps to avoid that but how they are going to encourage merchants to accept is the real question.

Since, icici erupee is already available publicly on play store, you may install, and give us update whether you could register or not.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know the app is available on play store, so I have successfully installed it and while registering twice it said encryption error even though I did everything right but 3rd time finally registered and linked my ICICI savings account.

Loading rupee is just flawless, no error at all, but I just went with the smallest denomination possible 2 while irony is there is literally zero merchant in my entire district.

Satner is still new in the test cricket but he's no mug with the bat and quite handy in white ball cricket as well so he knows a thing or two about batting.

Santner is comparably equal to Jadeja in the batting and bowling skills but in IPL he didn't get many chances due to only 4 foreign player rule but if he gets picked for other team then he would become a front line bowler for their team. Well, talking abouttest matches he is about 25 matches which is a milestone too and he just entered into his 30's hopefully Kiwi will utilize him in the red ball well.

Our Finance Minister Nirmala ji came up with a number and that was 135 million Indians are out of poverty in the last 5 years. She said it in the Parliament while replying to a question asked by the opposition. Now, my question is do you guys think in the last 5 years India has made so much progress that a big number of Indians have been rooted in the middle class? My next question to you guys is, do you see changes happening around you in the last 5 years?

Isn't that obvious because the government set such a funny requirement who make monthly pay of Rs.1300 in urban areas and Rs.1060 in rural areas are considered as above poverty line. So I won't be surprised even if the government claims 100% of India is living above the poverty line.

Well, according to world reports India is doing very poor like 111th rank in hunger out of 125 countries.

Happiness Index 126th our 136.

Employment rate 45%.

In an era of T-20 cricket, nothing pleases me more than batters running around like a headless chicken and occasionally grinding and showing batting masterclass, so pleasing to the eyes.

Low scoring encounters on such decks are just pure gold. Some people don't like these fixtures on spin track but f**k em, who cares as long as it's fun for the spectators.

----------
Edit

6 down! Every ball is becoming an event now.
Again the man Glenn Phillips glided the team towards the destination, as I said it just took one batsman to take away the win from host and that is what literally happened in this match and a little support from Santner in the end and again proving why the cricket is not utilizing his batting skills more in the other formats.

Bangbros lead is 120 runs and 9 down.

I think we'll have a thrilling Kiwi chase. A juicy pitch so surely they will bring all the guns and no tuk tuk approach. This hit and miss approach is going to be fun on a turner.  Grin

---------------------

137 runs to win for 1-1. Guess Bongs are 15-20 runs short but it's still a competitive score here.

Dicey score, and it only needs one batsman for Kiwis to hit the target but as of now the ball is spinning a lot so they survived for the Lunch and will be back with the plan about how they will approach this target. But I am sure there will be a result on this match by today itself.

Lot of guys complaining about NZ batting, but I guess they are not much aware of test cricket. Roll Eyes

There is way to get money credited to a digital ruppe wallet. You need to click on collect and write down the amount. It is similar to what we do to generate an invoice using Electrum wallet. I think libert19 might be using the same feature to make upload digital money.

No, 'collect' option is used to generate qr code to receive money. You use 'load' option load money from your bank account, similar how you load into Paytm wallet from your bank account.

I am not using Paytm wallet apart from paying fast tag payments but I have other UPI apps where I never had an option to load erupee in the first place neither the banks didn't send me an invitation, weird though.

Is state government have any authority to control the erupee authority?

I am disappointed to see this bad situation in New Zealand. I did not even think that I would play so badly with a team like New Zealand-Bangladesh. Anyway good luck to the Bangladesh team. Mirpur is an ideal field for spinners of the Bangladesh team.
Both the teams are struggling with the bat so I would blame the host more than the visitors because the condition is alien for them so they are struggling but why the home team is struggling too and scored less than the visitors. Still the game can go either side and with the quality I still bet on NZ and they are known to make comebacks from crisis situations.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 08, 2023, 11:43:15 AM
The weather forecast says that there is zero chance of rain for the next 2 days. So we need to calculate whether Bangaldesh will get enough time to bowl out New Zealand or not. Theoretically around 180 overs remain in this match. If Bangladesh can add another 150 runs in the next 30 overs, then they can take the lead to 180. And then they will get 150 overs to bowl out New Zealand, which is more than enough. But then the risk factor is not rain, but bad light. If overs are lost tomorrow as well, then it becomes complicated.
I don't think 180 overs will be bowled in this match but it won't take long with the current batting scenario and I don't think it is easy to score 150 more by Bangladesh too and if they can then they can take all the time they want because even the last day is enough to take 10 wickets at such pitches.
511  Local / India / Re: Which of the following P2P exchange you trust? on: December 08, 2023, 08:37:01 AM

We all know how easy it is for a scammer to pass KYC using fake documentation as there were a lot of such cases reported in the mainstream newspaper earlier this year. Until regulation comes into effect I think it is better to use direct exchange transactions and this is why I created this topic to find out how many of us have trust in the listed P2P exchanges.
I wouldn't say easier but its not impossible either because exchanges added liveness test which is video selfie verification along with ID submission so its not that easy to get verified like years back in most of the exchanges but scammers always finds a way to bypass it or the easy way is to buy the hacked exchange accounts from dark net for a hundred dollar then they can make 1000 before the account gets reported.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 07, 2023, 07:52:29 PM
Technically, gambling doesn't cause you any behavioral changes but addiction does, that means if you feel that your other activities are affected due to the results of your gambling then it's a sign of symptoms and the severity really depends on the addiction level.

On a note, it's not a big deal to get angry for losing $100 but if that becomes a pattern then it sure has to be addressed ASAP.

What is good about Bisq is its volume for BTC/XMR pair, what is bad about it is its desktop application which I feel is very slow and clumsy. Furthermore, there is zero volume when you check the BTC/INR pair on it. There is no way to confirm that the merchants for BTC/INR are not scammers like those who have infiltrated Binance P2P. That being said you would find a few of them in other P2P exchanges too.

BISQ is basically running on TOR network, that is the reason why it is very slow which kind of feels laggy when we switch to it from traditional applications. Yeah the second point is the actual issue, we never know the source of funds from the other party which can become an issue even after 6 month after the trade happened by then we will be affected and our account will be frozen that is why it is better to go with KYC p2p exchanges in my opinion.

Aside from Green, let's see if Hardik will perform to his purchase value or not.
Definitely he is worth it and more importantly, there is no better player than him who can bat and bowl importantly he is an Indian player so it won't affect the combinations so MI played this well to bring more balance to their team.

But I am seeing some news related to Hardik which is about contacting other franchise is against BCCI rules and players might even face ban for a season if its proved. Is it?
516  Local / Press & News from India / IEEE to issue blockchain skill certificates on Avalanche in India on: December 07, 2023, 06:59:47 AM
Avalanche was selected as the primary settlement layer for IEEE’s certificate issuance because of the need for an ecosystem compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine

The credentialing system used by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) will use the Avalanche blockchain to issue tamper-evident certificates in India.

India is the second-largest IEEE membership base outside the United States, with over 75,000 members. The professional association will issue IEEE credentials or certificates to all trainees and users to make the verification process tamper-proof, instant and secure.

The IEEE will issue blockchain certificates via LegitDoc, a blockchain-based credential lifecycle management built by Zupple Labs. Speaking to Cointelegraph, Zupple co-founder Neil Martis said that the Indian public sector has become more willing over the last 12 months to implement full-fledged blockchain projects over pilots.

The decision to use Avalanche’s C-Chain as the primary settlement layer for IEEE’s certificate issuance stemmed from the need for an ecosystem that is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). “However, we would be experimenting with new platforms as additional parallel settlement layers as suitable new tech emerges,”

IEEE is an institution similar to IIT in India and it is good to see that they are trying to utilize the blockchain utility and I am not really aware that AVAX has really such use case until I stumble upon this article.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 06, 2023, 06:53:10 PM
hopefully after first defeat now they will do something better in their second match even now I am expecting three zero for the West Indies because they are much better than visitors in this series and can improve their ICC ranking as well.

But the current scenario is telling the story differently, 4 wickets down for 23 runs and this has been the common issue with WI team for years now, and they still need a long way to go from their current status and they need to learn from teams like AFG in my opinion.

But good is now the partnership from captain is steadying the sinking ship and this is a positive sign for them so this will inspire the team a lot when such performance is coming from their captain.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 06, 2023, 05:54:46 PM
I am not watching much of ODI after the world cup, but it seems teams started their tours across countries already.

England still needs time to up their morale from what happened in their world cup journey and it much be a devastating few months for them and they are doing okay at the moment but need to do a lot of work to regain what they lost in the last two months.

Their second match started just earlier and England start with an early wicket.

Edit: 2nd wicket gone as well.
519  Local / India / Re: Which of the following P2P exchange you trust? on: December 06, 2023, 03:58:55 PM
What about Bisq? I think they are having a Decentralized network and they dont ask for KYC.

Check it out here - https://bisq.network/

The problem I see is that you need to keep your software on when a trade is opened, which seems like a bummer to me. I havent used it myself, does anyone else use it on a regular basis?

Bisq is a decentralized p2p which will never ask for any KYC but its different from traditional p2p exchanges we use.

On top of that the trading volume for INR pairs in BISQ is zero as far as I checked so even if you sign up there then you will likely to be waiting forever to sell your BTC for INR and the actual reason why people don't prefer BISQ is because of the security deposit is mandatory for both buyer and seller which is 15% of the trade amount and minimum is 006BTC which means you need to deposit $260 worth of BTC just for the security deposit so that explains we don't usually prefer Bisq.
520  Local / India / Re: Which of the following P2P exchange you trust? on: December 06, 2023, 01:21:23 PM

Just a correction, these all are p2p exchanges but some of them require KYC like p2p platforms like Paxful and Noones have mandatory KYC.

Paxful and Noones are both the same exchanges if I am not wrong as Noones was started when Paxful was supposedly getting closed. I was not aware that they require KYC as I was under the impression that the do not ask for KYC till a certain amount.

Not same exchange but Noones is from the co-founder of Paxful and it came into existence when Paxful stopped their operation earlier this year but after a couple of months the Paxful came into action again.

You are at the wrong impression, in Noones it is mandatory to get verified even to deposit any crypto.

In Paxful you will get 10K euros limit if you verify ID and liveness test and if you need unlimited limit then you have to go through further like address verification and so on.
