501  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ Cloudmining 101 (ponzi risk assessment) ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁ on: March 15, 2015, 09:21:41 PM
Hey guys, your are far better at judging whether something is ponzi/scam or a regular cloud mining severice. I just read this thread in bitcoin discussion
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=989670.msg10768529#msg10768529 And I want to ask you what do you think of it? It is legit announcement or another dubious cloud mining service is just popping out?

Let's see what they say...

We do not use mining hardware in our business because its not needed Smiley

A "mining" solution where there is no actual "mining" going on. Not so much a ponzi. More like a HYIP.

Also, Gleb Gamow has posted a convincing scam accusation against them:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990219.0

First I should say after an extensive days of literal crap from Mr Gleb ....

Okay you win! Please accept my humble apology. I was just trying to see how far I could I push you. You past the test and I honestly believe in my heart of hearts that ShareMiners is legit.

I will close this thread and ask the mods to delete it after your last reply.

Later, bud.

Bruno Kucinskas

Ok now this thread:

There is Mining going on its called POS mining (Proof of stake). Our www.stakeminers.com/how.php shows you how combining staking power increases your staking weight on the network, and this results in more frequent stakes with higher rewards per stake. it works like regular mining and your connection to the network as a server enables you to confirm the transactions and help secure the network.

Because an operation of this size could fill a wallet up quickly we have to use more than one coin, we don't want to dominate a network because then your own blocks inside your wallet are fighting each other for a reward. So we have started with a few coins. Because a business like this could literally be forced to buy coins on a daily basis it also secures your investment because we make a lot of buys on the markets which helps to increase the value of the coins and help to make those increases more steady. This all  helps to increase the value of our investors original investments as well.

When putting this project together we first started looking into hardware POW mining, but then decided we wanted a way that we could offer a service that did not have maintenance fees or huge financial consumption in hardware. Situations like that can effect our investors income in a negative way and are things we can not control. As we researched we came across the benefits of POS coins so we began testing. As we tested more and more coins and their staking abilities, we found just the right few to start out with. Each coin does staking a little differently when it comes to the rewards you receive, but all of them have the same basic mechanics, you hold more coins you raise your staking weight on the network. Some coins you have to manually split blocks inside the wallet others do it automatically. So our business is not without work, we still have to manually split blocks sometimes in the wallets so our investors get the maximum income on their staking.

We then looked at the problems investors face with other cloud mining options, and the worst one we saw was the dreaded "I'm Sorry our service is under a DDOS attack" and we all know where that ends up. So to avoid this we do not host the wallets online at all, they are hosted in the office on computers where we can watch them, completely separate from the webserver. SO if one does hack and attack the website, our investors have a layer of security knowing their investment is not near the attackers. Altho this creates a lkot of manual data entry on our end, it still allows us to keep our members investments as safe as we can keep them away form online attacks against the site.

we really have spent a lot of time researching this project and it has actually proven better than we originally expected. the increases in earnings are moving faster than we tested right now, and the compound interest is moving very steadily as well.

EDIT:  I will like to say we do have mining hardware mining the POW sections of the coins we use, but this is to help pay for the overhead costs of the business as well as add extra coins to the wallets of our members. By doing this we pay the bills and at the same time have a little left over to add to the staking weight of our clients. It is a win win for both of us in the end. We do not rent this equipment out, we do not sell contracts for it, it is only used to back our investors up and pay the bills nothing more.

Be careful. At the end of the day Puppet will disclose to the public whatever he gets as a privileged information to compromise you as he tried with kryptologika.com.

Hmm that seems unusual because in his reply to me he declined a skype call to make an educated decision added wiht the other info he finds but he said

"However, I have always maintained a "no privileged info" policy, I do not base my assessments on anything other than publicly verifiable information, so that anyone can double check my assessments without having to trust me or my judgement."

I am n ot sure how you can make a rating system people depend on if you arent even willing to skype to get some answers, especially in my case where my cloud business does not have the use or need for hardware nor promotes its use.

To be quite honest if you scroll thru this thread actually you will see I neither agree with his system nor like his biased info, but to appease my potential customers I wanted to see where we ranked. It will be hard for him as we do not do hardware mining its a new business no one has ever tried and so far has outstanding results for our clients. In less than a week I have watched as their daily earnings have increased 25% and the compounded interest earning on thier overall profit on investment have increased 5%.

Because of this I am very proud of the project we put together, i am happy with the coins we chose after all the extensive tests we went thru.

505  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Should setting up a mining rig at home always be profitable on: March 14, 2015, 09:31:37 AM
Just a question, I spend my time and money on various things, most of them have no real return value and money, if you look at it from a capitalist way is wasted, though some merchant might have the profits, I did not, just the sheer joy of the things I bought or the time I spent boggling my mind to do something. Like my webhost, I pay each year, but the site does nothing but host mostly my personal blog and some info, I do enjoy having my own domain and do not mind paying the money.

Could this work for mining? What if I set up a mining rig at home, just to be part of the chain? Just because I think bitcoin has a future and setting up a small non profitable rig does contribute to that future and has more of a hobby value to maintain the rig. Is that a bad thing?

For it to be profitable and to dedicate it to Bitcoin it would most likely have to be a very big rig. You always have the option to get in on one of the mining pools, depending on your electricity costs define of how profitable it will be. You could also mine other coins and trade them for bitcoins, altho this does not strengthen the value of BTC against the dollar it will strengthen its value against the coins you are trading it for.

Just an FYI, if your blog has good content and a reputable social network you could apply for google adsense and earn enough from them to pay for the hosting.
506  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hosting costs, questions, problems on: March 14, 2015, 06:50:40 AM
I would ahve to say they have certainly gone out of thier way to get your business. They seemed to have supplied everything you asked for, and so far like others have mentioned, they seem to be running a very legitimate business using the best possible ways they need to give thier customers what they need. So I think you have done well in all you asked and the response you have been given.

Have you ever thought of buying your own Lone meter and  having it installed to double check your current meter that is giving you almost double the readout you had?

Did you think about adding some other source of energy to lower your costs, some solar power that can feed electric into the system and maybe even save you a lot more than they have overcharged you.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Netcoin Dice Game on: March 12, 2015, 08:28:20 PM
Format.C^ I will be sending you a PM so we can resolve this situation.

OK PM sent, dont worry your coins are still safe sir, once you reply to the PM we will get you all squared away.

POZMU the reason I asked for the player number was because it makes it easier for me to find you in the database Smiley I was originally sending the coins from my personal walet to the accounts to be able to provide transaction IDs for proof, now I wont do that, I can do it in the game now I think its obvious at this point I do what i say i will do so maybe the TX IDS are not needed anymore.

Either way your coins are in your account and I did not send them via external wallet so there isnt a transaction ID but they are there Smiley

508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Netcoin Dice Game on: March 12, 2015, 08:18:52 PM
Ok, but I changed my player alias, does it mean I'm no longer eligible for a bonus?
I think not, hardly it relates to getting bonuses.

Will I get a bonus if I create new account and don't change player alias? I prvided deposit address, I supposed it would be enough...
Probably yes, but it's better to ask cyberpinoy
______________________________________________

Would also like to remind cyberpinoy about my 2500 coins and the inability to login to account  Wink

Well Unfortunately there is no way i can see your password, for your security I made sure they were protected even from me and other admins who have access to the database. the game did not come with any kind of password reset button. i have been watching your account so no one has hacked it the 2500 netcoins are safe in your account.  i will try a little password recovery situation but I am not sure how well that will work, if that does not work I will have to delete your account have you set up a new one and add the coins to your wallet then. the update to the wallet had no way to effect the password on your account. Let me see what i can do for you.

POZMU your account now has your bonus coins please check.
509  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [ILT] Intellect | X11 | 3650% Annually on: March 06, 2015, 06:58:21 AM
Ok no time to read all the pages, but I have a few questions,

Unfortunately I have to ask is this any affiliation with cointellect, any of its original founders, owners, managers employees investors or anything remotely or non remotely related to cointellect. Sorry but the names it had to be asked.

Where is the coins website?

Where is the coins personal community?

Since you have neither a website or personal community (IRC doesnt count) listed on the ANN OP what are the staking rates and how often will the stakes happen.

How can i get a full read on exactly how your POS works,
how often stakes happen,
how your weight is calculated and distributed,
what features the wallet has for auto-combining or auto-splitting the blocks inside the wallet.

I am looking for potential coins for a project of we are finalizing and I would love to get new coins involved, but these questions are very important for us to make a decision on the coins involved in our project. We had to remove one coin already as the devs and community fell apart, we need active devs and a supportive community. Our expected launch is very very soon actually, so we need to make a decision on one last coin (and the potential replacement of one that is already listed and in use)

Thank you for your time

Ok, thanks.
Will wait, hope appear my coins in account will not last long)...

Ok the wallet is really up to date this time and the database and admin panel shows your deposit went thru, i am still having issues with my personal wallet. but the dice game is back up and operational. Thank you guys for your patience.

BTW this is a 0% house edge right now for promotional purposes, this is just an intro soon we will be raising the house edge and be giving some of the proceeds to a program in the netcoin development team. So enjoy the 0% house edge while it lasts Smiley

LOL, they expect anyone to believe they have the money to acquire mines, acquire, fix and resurrect a bankrupt exchange, but not to pay out their customers?

It seems they have a lot of "money" but they do not want to pay their users. Yes it is very strange and I do not think they will buy the cryptocurrency exchange bter.com .

the last thing we need is some trojan installing, account stealing, bank info hoarding, greedy assholes like cointellect running an exchange, they owe so many people money but arrogantly show thier ignorant faces at bitcoin meets and expos, why dont some people confront these assholes at one of these meets and demand LOUDLY for their investment paid instantly, tell them, look call your head asshole and tell him to deposit my shit plus interest to my bitcoin address RIGHT NOW cause I am NOT leaving your side this whole expo until i get paid. Then start posting pictures of your withdraw where they owe you money all over thier stand Hell id even make a banner and cover the ones they put up

Please be patient wiht me as the updates get worked out.

Thank you so much.

I rebuilt the wallet and it is syncing now but its only on block 10000 something so give it a little bit to sync in.

Have a problem: I made a deposit 2500 NET, the transaction is in the network and can be seen in blockexplorer. It's been a few hours ago, but the address is still no coins.
Username: Vitamine
In Game Depositing Address: nLGT6tzuw312UvMZXYhW91U1B1AX1pu2Wb
TxID: 2b848fc42175979b66ba8ade462cedda5c658d68eef09b71f429d31d00257a65
Amount 2500 NET

Prior to this, repeatedly made deposits (of course on the new address!) and everything was in order.
Whats up now  Huh

I am so sorry I was finalizing our other big project. The problem was I rebuilt the wallet but forgot to copy the new netcoind command in the folder so it was actually still running on the old version, unfortunately since it had already passed the fork block I have to re-download the blockchain.

As the wallet syncs back up your deposit will appear in your account.

I apologize for this problem. Once my personal wallet syncs in I will also personally send you some more coins to your in game account.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ryan Pumper: Pumpers Picks (Updated Daily) on: March 02, 2015, 03:02:35 AM
Does volume cause the pump? Or does the pump cause the volume?

The pump causes the volume DAAAh, it this would not matter if its authentic pumping of domestic news of the coins wiht a new feature or a new update, or from pump groups, a pump is a pump. Without someone pumping a coin, there is no additional attention being drawn to that coin, without people pumping it no one knows whats going on, when people hear about a coin pump and see it being pumped, they buy in, when they buy in others follow the leader like monkey see monkey do. thus.... The pump causes the volume, because without the pump you just have regular everyday price action.

If you were to spend just one hour analysing the charts, you will quickly realise that It is virtually impossible for a short-term trader to pull big money from the market on a consistent basis.

In a previous post, I demonstrated the differences between trading and gambling, pointing out that trading is a venture that requires calculation – whilst gambling is a venture requiring nothing other than misguided hope. The rationalization was that altcoin gamblers, actually believe that trading is gambling, and so they ‘act as if’ this is a fact.

Short-term trading is the gamblers thought process manifested into tangible action.

You see, a short-term trader is basically someone who spends the majority of their time betting on the ‘continuation’ of price moves that have already occurred.

Now come on Ryan I was defending you, but flat out misleading people as a pump group owner is just bullshit And I call you out on it.

Now for some real honesty,

For everyday lone traders with absolutely no backend info, trading is just a gamble, You can stare at those charts for 150 hours straight and this market they will tell you nothing and reflect no predictable actions, why because this is the crypto world, those charts mean absolutely nothing except what has happened in the past. Crypto has absolutely NO demand thus making those charts a useless waste of time on both ends.

EXAMPLE: Every month China has to buy a product from Japan, this creates a demand for the Japanese Yen. Because of this it is easy to follow the charts and see what a possible movement could be and how much it might be, in addition, at the same time every month Japan has an economic news release of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) you can look back into the charts to see what the last movement was based on this news, look into current economic conditions of Japan and make an Educated trading decision based on the demand for the YEN.

UNDERSTAND THIS, Crypto has no "REAL" demand, no one has to buy any crypto for a purpose, there is no product that can only be purchased with crypto, there is no service offered by way of payment with crypto only, their are no places that only accept Crypto, there is no country in demand of using the crypto, THERE IS NO DEMAND, the only thing that gives a coin its value is it tradable market, the exchanges and who is buying what when.

For Ryan, as a pump group leader, it is very easy to say things like
"In a previous post, I demonstrated the differences between trading and gambling, pointing out that trading is a venture that requires calculation – whilst gambling is a venture requiring nothing other than misguided hope."
Why? Because for him and people in his group they have what we call "Insiders Info" they know a huge amount of BTC will be used to move a certain market at a certain time, but their inside info goes even a step farther! After Ryan and his admins already have purchased into a coin for over a week before they release the info to the group, the members of the group have an exact moment this price action will happen.

For the people who are members of a pump group there is no gamble, for the leaders of the group there is even less of a gamble as they pick the times, the dates and the coins and they have already bought in long before the release of what coin is being used to their members. They literally float on the ride of profits from their group pushed by greedy buyers and panic sellers.

For them, crypto trading is NOT a gamble, for everyoine else those charts are useless, trading is a simple gamble.

And this my friends is the bare truth of the facts Smiley

Tell the truth Ryan Smiley

ok I heard that it's basically impossible for me to mine using my PC because it's too weak etc ...
also heard of some kinda of USB's or whatever ? could I earn some bitcoins from those ? if yes how much and could anyone link me to them ? (official page sales or whatever) , want to know more about mining .

My USB antminers are resting in thier packaging in my "Personal Meuseum of Obsolete Bitcoin Mining Equipment" they stay there until a new SHA coin comes out where i can begin mining it then move up to the bigger asics I have now Smiley this is so I dont throw an astronomical amount of hash at a network to fast Smiley

you can buy them on aliexpress I think or find someone who has some for sale maybe ebay or something like that. if they are asking over 3 dollars each it to much. as far as a reward very minimal, they run 333MHS to 3 GHS each max, if you have 10 you might get 20 GHS 1 dragon miner runs at 1000 GHS so you do the math Smiley

The first to solve a puzzle earns 25 bitcoins, currently worth $6,900 (Jan 10th 2015). Since bitcoin’s invention in 2008 by a mysterious figure calling himself Satoshi Nakamoto

hmmm $6,900 each huh? I frakin wish HAHAHA
518  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How did I solve 1 Block this quick? on: March 01, 2015, 04:57:16 PM
I am not understanding the OP completely, did he solve a block on his own or did he solve a block mining on a pool. If you solved the block on your own, congrats its all luck brother dont ecxpect it again for about 6 to 10 years HAHA if you solved on on a mining pool, thats normal dont get to excited.

I run my home PC repair business on the side, though, and EVERY computer I work on gets checked for coin wallets.  And if I ever find one, it's MINE!  I just hope the owner didn't password protect it!

So you plan on stealing from your customers?

That's what the world really needs, more thieves running businesses.

Someone needs to put his post up on a billboard right in his front yard. What an asshole.

Bro if you stole anything of mine from my computer I would literally Cut your hand off and feed it to you, how many computers can you repair with only 1 hand.

Get a life asshole!!
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are the bright new altcoins of 2015? on: March 01, 2015, 04:49:23 PM

Netcoin (NET) by far

They have a great development team, and one you can actually talk to, they dont hide behind curtains, they dont say they will do something and don't. they are strongly working on every single aspect of the coins development. they have teams for everything. their Netcoin Forum is like a faucet all in its own. they have a spin and win game and a slot machine right in the profile page where you can win Netcoins every day, they have a Netcoin bank on the forum where you can deposit some Netcoins and earn interest on them, they have a stock market game where you can trade stocks based on current market conditions and earn a lot of Netcoin doing it, and you can earn Netcoins just by posting on the forum. Threre is a skype group of Netcoin investors that gather and talk and the developers come in and talk to us about upcoming events and features for Netcoin. By far this coin is going places this year. The wallet is one of the most extensive wallets I have seen with calculators, links to products and services, games and just about anything you cna think of is in this wallet.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No response after Questions on: March 01, 2015, 04:34:48 PM
I approached two different people that seemed to be capable, and both said they were willing, to build me a faucet, a poker page for my site and an escrow plugin for my wordpress site. After I messaged the following, I never heard from them again. Is there anyone with the capabilities and interest in this? I thought what I was asking was quite reasonable....

"Your prices seem fair friend. Would you be open to the idea of letting somebody look at what you write so I am assured there are no backdoors, virus or such? I cant be too careful with my money, though I dont seek to offend, I have a hard time trusting. At the moment my funds are going to limit me to just BTC for the faucet. If I choose, are you able to add more coins/wallets later? Lastly, how do we make the trade fair? My idea is perhaps to send to person for inspection and when they say all good, I send BTC and inspector sends me faucet? Person to inspect can be agreed on by us both."

No response to such a fair request makes me sad too realize there are so many shady characters in our community. Sad......Anyways, it whatever I guess...

You are 100% right in worrying about backdoors, what these guys so far seem to think is the back door is to skim off the players, but back doors can do so much more.

I advise you set the MYSQL database and the cron up yourself, Dont give him access to the database, you can request the MYSQL code and do it yourself with one click and then check it all to verify there no hidden admins, check recheck and have a friend who knows PHP check all the files. You set your own wallets up and dont give him the RPCusernames or the RPCPasswords EVER!! do that manually yourself. Lock the games withdraw address so it can never be changed and always withdraw to an offline wallet on your own computer. (you will have to hard code this into the programming Smiley  And tell them you want the ability to have your game on one server and pull the data from your wallet that is on a separate server. if he sayd it cant be done he is lieing it can and has been done and its very secure, more so than having the game and the wallet on the same server.

do the faucet the same way Smiley

to be honest if he doesnt already have the codes what your asking is not an easy task, so you should expect vthe price to be pretty hefty, if it is not, they are scamming you, if you wanted him to set it all up and just hand it over to you, thats a lot of work, especially if your putting the wallet on one server and the game and faucet on another. now if he already has the game codes and files its a very fast process and can be completed in less than one day.
