The equalizer was well deserved, everyone hoped for the best and they witnessed everything that happen. The visitors will be so happy to record draw points with City today, was not an easy game for them but they did everything to leveled points with Manchester City. Pep Guardiola is frustrated by the dissapointing results his team recorded against the eagles at Etihad Stadium. I've said this time without number, Manchester City doesn't sit in any prominent position to win Crystal Palace because they already messed up their golden opportunities of winning the match.

Crystal palace have always in the past be a Problem to Manchester city although city usually coughs out win but this particular one seems impossible. I will say the lack of quality back up on the substitute bench this season has actually affected Manchester city. An injury to their Talisman DeBruyne and goal Machine Halaand would affect them seriously because they do not have the caliber of players that could easily replace them.

This Pep’s first season struggling in the league after his first poor season when he arrived. I will say it is deserved even if doesn’t wins it because they also need to take a break after the scintillating season they had last season. I just hope the fans could beat with them and know that This bad form are actually part of the game.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 16, 2023, 06:02:56 PM
Is incredible how this Atletico Madrid is wasting the chance to be on top of the league, always when they have a little chance waste it agains X team, on this day against Bilbao who is a very hard team to beat on San Mames, but anyways they need to overcome this issue if they want to become champions.

Athletico has actually squandered many opportunities this season to sit comfortably on top of the league table before the winter break, they basically had like three games at hand but now on same games with the top teams and just on goal difference above Barcelona to be on third place. Barcelona playin today against the struggling Valencia team, should they win then Atletico Madrid will drop to fourth on the table just two points ahead of Athletic club.

Athletic club are just two points off the champions league qualification places. There recent form in the league is been great, four wins out of possible five with the point drip coming against Girona who this season have been in a stellar performance can be excused. If they continue and with both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid slipping up this days then they could be rewarded with a top four placement

Fulham is just an average team this season just trying to maintain a healthy spot around the top eight teams so they can still be in the premier league next season, their performance so far haven't been anything above average so keeping an open mind to their game will be a healthy option because they are playing against a team which is currently on the decline tho with a good record earlier this season, a draw could be anticipated in this game but then Newcastle has got home advantage and Fulham playing from away may just be defensive to reduce number of goals conceded.

Although Newcastle on paper seem more of the favourite to win this tie but with recent injuries hampering them with close to 8 first team players missing out I wouldn’t blame them much in their current miseries. Also it would not be logical to underestimate an opponent like Fulham. Fulham might have started the season poorly but they their recent performances is a thing of worry to Newcastle. They have scored 16 goals in just their last 4 matches including a 5 nil back to back win against Nottingham forest and West Ham United, with also an entertaining 7 goal thriller against Liverpool. This free scoring Fulham side should be a thing of worry for Newcastle side that have been shipping in goals lately.

Where have you been all this time, almost a year now you created this account is just this month you decided to start posting and your posts look so matured that I will not consider you as a newbie rather an alt account or I will give you the benefit of the doubt that since you registered you used almost a year to study the forum. Sometimes some newbie are not eger to get Merit but they want to know whether the path they are riding on is okay, we all know that merit is not easy to get, for some newbies to see their post is been merited it gives them more courage to learn more.

Actually this wasn’t his first post, the user actually made his first post at the start of this year, and another in around September, maybe OP opted out of the due to maybe personal reasons or so. But still

As for the OP, newbies have come to the forum too and just as you have done give out advice like this but at the end them they self couldn’t curtail the urge to trail gradually grow and some started breaking the rules to fish for merit, I hope you hold on to your advice and possibly start engage gradually at least that is the only way to grow in ranks in the forum
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers should not believe in first game win trap on: December 15, 2023, 06:42:15 PM
If you gamble first and win then you will save your mental energy and then you will gamble again and thus you will eventually become a daily gambler. We know it's not dangerous at first but when you go to the hopper again and again then it becomes reality. My younger brother is betting online and i searched his ID where most of the winning stories were but i fell behind him. On the other hand winning or losing the first time is not what makes them addictive but when you win fast the first time you make it addictiv.
I would say this is not entirely accurate, a first timer in gambling and the luckily scoffing out a win are not those that get addicted, but I will say addiction is caused on the kind of mindset you set out to it. One thing that gets one addicted to gambling is when you don’t treat it as a game but a platform where you must get rich, people look at other people’s winning story and then go into gambling from one game to another and That’s how the addiction goes on. Although some first timers are lure in by the first game but not all of them
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 15, 2023, 04:06:39 PM
It seems that Arsenal have to be careful with Brighton, because they just won the Europa League match against Marseille in the Groub phase, even though in the previous match Brighton were held to a draw by Burnley with a score of 1-1, that doesn't mean that Brighton doesn't want to get points in the match against Arsenal. , because last week Arsenal were beaten by Aston Villa and were also held to a draw by PSV in the Champions League, this indicates that Arsenal is not doing well. Most likely, this could affect the stamina of Arsenal's players because Arsenal has a very busy match schedule.

Brighton going against a team like Arsenal is not a less competitive game because Brighton have shown in recent season that they can beat just any big club in the premier league, their one all draw against Burnley is mostly how Brighton is, they beat top clubs and drop points against smaller clubs. But still I will put Arsenal to win this, even as Brighton collected points from the likes of Manchester city, Manchester United and Chelsea last season, Arsenal defeated them both legs. Forget about Arsenal draw against PSV in the champions league that wasn’t the first team of Arsenal. A very strong team will be named against Brighton and Arsenal wouldn’t want to drop more point’s again
507  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 15, 2023, 03:17:51 PM
I've been thinking about this for the last few years.

Having a formal job and a single source of income is something that I have to adjust in my life. I've thought countless times about opening my own business, but the question is: what to do? exactly which line of business to go? Sometimes I think a lot about finding a partner, because alone it's very complicated.

The starting capital and who to manage it sometimes is the blocking stone. About business idea, first I will say look into the work you’re employed to do and think if it is possible to do same business even if it’s small. If your work doesn’t fit a business, then you can actually do a market survey to see what your locality lacks and if it fits your capital you can start. You can employ a family member to help in the running of the business because sometimes it is hard to cope if you’re employed to another organization.

people always says that working for an employer should only be temporary because businesses are the ways to finally be comfortably rich

This is not a saying but just fact, because no matter how long you work under the government or someone you will definitely one day be retired, but with business it is there till death comes and even your offsprings can inherit it.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All thanks to my family they contributed and bought bitcoin for me on: December 15, 2023, 03:08:04 AM
It is always a great thing to actually get what you want but bitcoin been funded by others donation isn’t it. From your post I saw how eager you are just because of the halving coming which is not kind of good because you are actually focusing on the profit side of bitcoin only without taking into the risk side. This money given to you by your parents doesn’t look like something you can afford to lose which is one of the focal points of buying bitcoin.

Also since you already have the funds with you, I will advice you keep it in your local currency first and then go and have the basic knowledge of how to buy the bitcoin yourself from any exchanger and then set up a personal wallet by yourself, this way you don’t need to trust even a friend to do this things for you as it will be risky to do so
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 14, 2023, 10:08:53 PM
The club needs to do something about the current state of things, I don't feel their is any internal change that is needed although I don't know the preference of what you mean by that internal change but am pretty sure this clubs needs good management and the so called big coaches that have coached Manchester united are all average coaches except from Jose Mourinho who actually kinda did well atleast he secured one or two trophy at his time of stay in the club.

I don’t think that you have been following the news of Manchester United lately and even though not lately but you will have known that since the Glazers bought the club, they have been poor in all departments. First the office of the sport director has been vacant, if the club is actually serious that office isn’t supposed to be vacant. A sport director is the person that makes decisions related to the recruitment and sporting aspect of the club. This is why you see Manchester United always ends up paying outrageous amounts to average players. Also another cause by the management is the stagnant decision yet to be made by the Glazers, the lack of new owners might disrupt the team either in performance or getting players signed.

Yes I will also agree that Mourinho is the best manager this post Fergie era but you can’t call the other coaches average. The likes of Luis Van Gaal are up there with best also won a trophy but when he started the rebuild with young players the fans called his game boring. Ten Hag again is facing the same fate, the Fans needs to understand that Manchester United need an overhaul and I think Ten Hag is trying to ditch away the bad players and if he gets the backing of the club’s hierarchy
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 14, 2023, 09:48:08 PM

It was not true. Osimhen will not leave from the club. You can read this news first https://www.goal.com/en/lists/victor-osimhen-chelsea-napoli-transfer-new-contract/bltb068810c523b028e

Osimhen is likely extending his contract with napoli instead of leaving to other club. It's a setback for him caused by he will always be playing for napoli without even think to get new experience to improve his skill.

This is the main problem owned by osimhen as he was lacking in exploring his potential to work under various coaches. forgot a rumor about him to go to the barcelona caused by it was fake rumor.

Yes the African player of the year Victor Osimhen is ready to sign a contract extension with the club till 2026 with a club breaking wages for him. Although I wanted him to explore other options but if he feels good Napoli then i wish him well, a young player like that needs a place he cherish to been able to develop his game. Even if Osimhen ends his career playing the remaining games as Napoli player I wouldn’t see anything bad there, they have been great players that didn’t change team and they are regarded as club legends, but layers like Giggs, Totti and Paul scholes to mention a few went on to stay in the same team for their entire career and they went onto be club legends
511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quickest way to earn merit? on: December 14, 2023, 09:10:13 PM
What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?

I will say your first thread actually answers this, if you look at how informative the thread and how members responded to it by meriting then I would such type of thread or comments are what gets you merit. Also you can equally go through the profiles of high ranking members with lots of merit to see how they engage in the forum, the kind of posts they Make, the type of threads they create and boards that they engage in then you might find out to earn merits. The only advice is do not force it, because once you force it you might easily break a rule or two.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 13, 2023, 07:55:53 PM
Not only that Chelsea will also sell some players who cannot be relied upon, for example Gallagher will be sold in order to add money to their new player spending in January, it may be true that Chelsea wants to continue negotiating about Osimhen but I'm not too sure what Chelsea will get, the price is expensive and Osimhen will be difficult to sell in the near future.

Chelsea will definitely sell off many players just like they did in the summer to reduce the wages, the players that could leave would be those out on loan and those with contract extension issue and are surplus to requirements. But Connor Gallagher isn’t going anywhere, in the summer he was actually up for sale but Chelsea opted against selling to AC Milan and it was the best decision because had they sold him it would have been bad for them. This season Gallagher has been their standout player and that has earned him the vice captain position in the club. He has won the most tackles, done the most interceptions and created the most chances for Chelsea this season. Although Chelsea is having a bad season but Gallagher is definitely having a fine season if I am to rate him
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security is important in Bitcoin on: December 13, 2023, 07:27:05 PM
There two things that could have happened to your friend, first is his wallet might have been compromised through phishing attacks or any attacker, this is achievable without the hacker having access to the offline seed phrase. If it is then the physical seed phrase that was used to get access to the wallet then I wouldn’t call your friend’s case a case of lack of knowledge but carelessness because when creating a wallet every wallet even trustwallet will tell you the importance of seed phrase and that you shouldn’t let anyone have access to it.

Hey OP the posts above have actually shown you how add the link, my suggestion to you is when you encounter some new things like this in the forum, One way I used to Learn about them is to quote that user who posted such posts. If you quote that particular post you will see everything in plain text and how they arranged it. This way you can copy that from a tab and use it in another tab, then preview it first to see if you have done it properly. And you will get use to it in no time.
515  Other / Meta / Re: Forum unusable with Tor on: December 13, 2023, 05:22:19 AM
Anyone having problems with Tor for the past couple of days? It's going insanely slow for some reason, im trying rotating nodes but everything seems like there's no bandwidth or something, but it's specially slow when it comes to getting successfully logged in on here. Im tying to get the captcha to show up but I get an error. I would have been locked out of the account but luckily I had saved my captcha code, but if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have logged in at this rate.

The cloudflare verification is actually slow when you try accessing the forum using the TOR this isn’t happening to you only but a general problem, it is the internet against DDOS that is said to cause the problem. You can actually bypass the captcha verification by using this https://bitcointalk.org/captcha_code.php, get your link and use the forum without TOR

Since yours worked fine the Op should consider checking his internet service provider to see if that where the issue is coming from. I am not currently with my device that has tor browser installed so I won’t be able to try it out myself to see if it’s a general issue or not.

I tried it out and OP is right I have been stuck on passing verification for more than 10 minutes now. Accessing the forum through tor is getting worse sadly,
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 12, 2023, 10:33:01 PM
Less than 24 hours before the game between Newcastle and AC Milan and Pioli started talking about this game, he said how important is this match for AC Milan to win the game against Newcastle in the Champions League tomorrow. He said this match is a like final game for them
Currently, AC Milan and Newcastle both got five points in the group F.

This is definitely going to be a fierce battle in that group. With Dortmund already qualified and PSG at home I think the fate of that game will favour PSG because them having the fans backing them is a huge factor for them and Dortmund will be playing with a more relaxed attitude. The real battle is now on the other match, both of this team needs to beat each other to either have a glimpse of hope to qualify to the next round. I will pick Newcastle because they have been better than AC Milan in this year edition and also playing with their fans behind them at home is an advantage.

As for Manchester United and Sevilla, it is a bitter pill to take but to me the most important one in this, they’d not go through and later just get knocked out early at stage, but with this disappointment they will focus more on the league competition
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 12, 2023, 09:27:58 PM
This is easy. Mr, Theymos is the wiser person. My reasons are, first doing DCA is a the most effective method when one is trying to accumulate because the average entry price balances the return on either loss or profits. Then secondly Bitcoin is bitcoin and no other cryptocurrency can be use to diversify it. If you are investing in other cryptocurrencies you are just trying to gamble some amounts to get more profits which is proportional to also losing it since Alticoins can’t be trusted. But with bitcoin there is almost more certainty that it will increase after bull run and if it doesn’t then the other Alticoins suffers too so diversification there doesn’t work.

But wait Mr. Theymos been the wiser one, where I have I meet this name before  Huh
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 12, 2023, 09:16:09 PM
If you look at the table of the premier league competition, you will know that Ten Hag is doing a great work to Manchester united compare to Chelsea who are below Manchester united and there is a prove that Manchester united are not the poor team in this season. I believe Manchester united coach did well last season despite they did not win the trophy but they came out in 4th position that made people to believe that he is doing a great job and, with time he will definitely solve the crisis that is coming from the players which is causing them not to achieve good results so far.

There are many teams preparing to take this premier league trophy from Manchester city which people are seeing the sign around for Manchester city to drop down to 4th position and, it has given Arsenal the opportunity to occupy the first position.

Manchester United under Ten Hag last season was the best they have seen since the days of Jose Mourinho and that’s why the bar was set to high for Ten Hag himself. He won the carabao league cup in his first season, went to the knockout stages of two competitions and finished third in the league. For team in crisis like Manchester United it was a fair season. Forward to this season many fans actually want more than that as the bar as been raised but no they are struggling even though they aren’t far from the top in the league but Seven defeats at old trafford out of fourteen is bad considering they managed to lose just two the entire last season. All this are actually not bad for fans to complain but calling for Ten Hag’s sack is just out of it.

Manchester city are having hangover of last season multiple games and celebrations and I don’t think anybody will blame them for throwing the league away this season. The race aside then is now between Liverpool and Arsenal, although I will fancy an Arsenal win, Liverpool sitting at the top are just too hard to bring down and they look likely to win it than Arsenal
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 11, 2023, 10:18:04 PM
I know it is not easy for teams who sack their managers, but if Manchester United sack Ten Hag I think it will be better for the the team especially after all this act he has displayed and his incompetence among other coaches.

When Manchester United sign Ten Hag, many people including me was happy because we all have been seeing what he is doing while coaching Ajax, not knowing that it is a small league, and Ajax has the best players in the league that year; although he can complains of lack of quality players in which he was given time and money sign his desired players which he signed some that seems not to be useful for the team.

If he is sacked, they can have coaches that can do better with the players Man United have.

So what will then happen to the players? See I don’t agree with all this sacking of coaches when a bad season kicks in every time. They have been players that have been in the club for more than how many years under many coaches and yet they are still there collecting huge wages and playing mediocre football every season. If football has been all about sacking coaches and not given them more time then the likes of sir Alex wouldn’t have been a legend of this great club now. Liverpool had patience with Klopp and ripped the reward, Arsenal he Patience with Arteta and I can say that they are now better than they were. Guardiola didn’t win anything in his first season and city didn’t sack him, now he has won almost everything for them.

It is not that Ten Hag isn’t making mistakes tactically but asking for his sack just during his second season is considered not the right to do to me because after his first good season he deserves a chance and the board should be trusting him with good Signings.

Even if a Pep or Mouh is signed today Manchester United will still remain like this because of the players nonchalant behavior
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 11, 2023, 09:41:34 PM
The thing is, whichever team wants to bring in De Gea will have to bring him in as an experiment. And they will also have to remember that this is an experiment which can definitely fail. If it fails they will have to move on with their life. But if it works, it is definitely going to be great. The question is which teams are actually interested in doing this experiment?

Degea isn’t an experiment because I will say it is mostly people or players who are signed for a longer term are actually the ones we will call an experiment. Degea will definitely come with is immense experience and that is enough for some clubs, the club that do sign him wouldn’t be making him the first choice.

Quote
I don't think it is returning to Manchester United. I think that is just a baseless rumor, nothing more. Because if Manchester United actually bring him in right now, they will prove that the goalkeeper was not the mistake. And that will also mean the coach has to go immediately. And the coach is not going to do something like that in my opinion.

It’s definitely a rumor because Manchester United already have a backup goalkeeper who is also a great stopper, should Onana head to AFCON next year then Altay will stand in for him and then Tom Heaton for the other back up. So I don’t think Degea will come soon to Manchester United because even the dressing room will have small
