Bro, this thing no reach to carry do thread na, you even supposed comment am for that Charles-Tim thread, e no make sense say you just create thread out of person knowledge wey still dey inside the same local board. And the op wey you dey here na your wey create the thread naim be op for that thread no be say, person name na op for this forum na just based on the position wey you hold for the thread. And one other thing again, e no make sense say you go just drop two thread like this serially, at least you go drop the other after this one don go far.

Abeg this local board we wan clean am from shitpost so make you lock this thread before our boss them knack you tag .
502  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto P2P market the cause of of BDC operation in FCT on: February 03, 2024, 06:01:14 PM
In the video, it is explained that cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and stablecoins are even helping for naira not to fall as it should have fallen. That if no cryptocurrencies, it would have been worse. What determines the price of naira to foreign currencies are mostly related to forex and not cryptocurrencies. Do you agree with his?

I like the way the guest speaker said everything clearly without beating around the bush. It is obvious the BDC are just looking for a way to course conflict between crypto and the government again. However, just like the speaker said without crypto the Nigerian naira would have fallen more than it is today, and that's a pure fact. The only I see that the naira is still surviving at this rate is because even when crypto had restriction on banks Nigeria was still one of the word most recognize country for crypto dealings.it would be a disaster if we fight against crypto or have nothing to do with it. Thank God for this new government who saw how important it is and removed the restriction, but it would be better if all restrictions were remove.

BDC should definitely get their shit online and make life more easier rather than having a full-time offline job. I think they should make a kind of digitalized ATM for FX across all state and include their charges/tax from there, and have at least 5 currencies for exchange. I enjoyed every single second watching that video. That Mr Charles-Tim.

504  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Campaign to improve posting quality for local boards on: February 03, 2024, 06:15:39 AM
We really needs this threads in our local board so that the we and the new guys can be able to see them and improve our post qualities.
The OP of this discussion have done well to translate this post in our own local languages because as this is a local board, not everyone here knows how to write in English but they know little about the local pidgin language the OP did well, from beginning it is not easy to translate the whole of this discussion to our local languages.

If to say I reputation don high for this forum I for tell our local board moderator to pin this thread for front, so that e no go dey give down again, cause this kind thread naim good make we pin, so that any newbie wey first come go sit down read am, before them start to post. I no say off topic no dey easy to separate from newbies but as time goes on them go learn, but first them need guide, and na em be this. Newbies abeg make una dey try read something like this, na the only wey when una go take learn fast.
505  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Trading BTC on: February 02, 2024, 08:14:49 PM
For this kind matter na wattin baba Charles-Tim talk naim I go take oo. To trade with people wey don old for the business wey get better reputation for there. Though person wey just come fit get better reputation oo and that old trader fit go sell em Bitcoin for stolen fiat money so either way problem go still sup,  but e better make we trade with person wey don Tay, at least e go reduce the risk of falling victims to such matter. Since trading Bitcoin don dey legal for the country, I no sure say we no go fit defend ourselves if something of such happens, because your own na just sell you sell, so how the money take come no concern you, na just business you do. Dem supposed trace the first source den hold am responsible.
506  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't be tired of hodling that potential coins. on: February 02, 2024, 06:34:38 PM
Due to fake news many people were deceived which made them to sell their coin thst would have made them to gain good profits. People who criticize good reliable coin like Bitcoin don't even know how cryptocurrency works. Beginners should know that their are people out there thst will always criticize the coin they are hodling. It really pays to hodl , their is gain it. Selling coin because of fake news,  fear will definitely end up in regrets.

That na why I no dey reason wattin all those social media Influencers they talk oo, even those news predictions them. Some of them na to just put fear for your body, while na to over hype one coin so that the coin go just start to trend anyhow for the market. And most times all those coin wey fit no go up again after that small pump wey Dem get from the hype and all of that. Na why e goo make we do our own research to know weda make we buy the coin or not because scam project Dem many, and meme coins no dey last at all after their hype them go just dey go down. So Bitcoin naim be the only coin wey I fit guarantee person to hold for long term.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: February 02, 2024, 06:14:06 PM
I am not saying that GigaChadGPT or GigaCoin are better than ChatGPT or any other meme coin. I am just trying to show you that there is more to meme coins than meets the eye. They can also be a source of inspiration, learning, and entertainment. Of course, they still have their drawbacks and challenges, such as scalability, security, and regulation. But I think they are worth exploring and experimenting with, as long as you are aware of the risks and do your own research.

I agree with you that the GigaChadGPT is a different version of what a meme coin is known as, but how about the rest meme coins in market? The fact that very few are inspiring with innovative feature doesn't mean the remaining are ok for investment. Meme coins are to be dreaded and invest with care, since majority are just for jokes. I have read some meme coins white paper were the developers clearly stated that the coin was made not to be taken serious as a coin for  investment.
508  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Which one dey pain pass? on: February 02, 2024, 05:12:15 PM
Either ways your coin don go if e happen to you. This kind of thing never happen to me before oo, because I dey very careful with copying wallet address and I dey make sure say I cross check the address word character by character before I dey send or past am for any where. While the one wey money go disappear from my account I never experience am and I dey pray make that kind thing no ever happen to me because, naim go pain me pass. If money disappear from your wallet make you just know say person don get access to your seed phrase and no be only you get the coin again. That na why from the start Dem advise say make we no keep our seed phrase online because e go dey very difficult if we keep am for offline say person go come steal am, if we keep am for safe place.

And one important thing na be say, make we no dey keep money for exchange for long, exchange no be secure wallet, if you know say you no go use the money within 3 day just keep am for custodian wallet make e dey steam for there until you need am because wattin happen to FTX e fit repeat itself because hackers no dey take am easy, Dem see that one as their work for life, do the way you take your work serious na so them sef take their own serious, so the best thing na to just avoid them be keeping your asset in a wallet that has seed phrase.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more profitable? on: February 02, 2024, 07:21:48 AM
From all what you have said concerning g bitcoin you are supposed to know the answer,  of course bitcoin is more profitable than any other coin that you can think about. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency,  it is better than every other cryptocurrency  because bitcoin was not created based on imitation.  The reason why bitcoin is better than other coin in value is because other cryptocurrencies was made as a result of imitation trying to be bitcoin.

This is absolutely correct mate, one thing about being an imitation is that you cannot outrun what you are imitating. You are always limited by it activities. So every other coin created as a crypto asset are all under Bitcoin no matter how hard they try in building any other coin which has better features than Bitcoin it still won't last, because the program that Bitcoin runs on, it's what makes it survive until now. Bitcoin is the most profitable coin in the market all you need to experience this is just patience in your holding and you'll see with your own eyes what I mean.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: February 02, 2024, 07:13:05 AM
Sure meme coins volatility is higher than any other brand of coin in the market, and that is why they are very risky. Most times when the coin pump, due to FOMO some person buy a huge amount and suddenly the coin just start dumping and they experience loss rather than profit and there is a high probability that, the coin will not pump back again. Some coin after general price correction in the market they tend to just become shitcoins from there. Reason most person invest more in memecoin is because of the possible return the coin might give due to its high volatility. Bu Bitcoin will continue to be the best coin in the market for investment.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid getting rugpulled on: February 02, 2024, 07:03:58 AM
Indeed crypto investment is risky and you have to be careful when making your choice of coin, the fact that a coin get listed in the cex doesn't guarantee that the coin is absolutely not a scam project in fact, scammers do their best to make sure their scam project looks legit so as to attract more investors. That is why I advise we stick with few project rather than picking multitude of projects in your portfolio.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: February 02, 2024, 06:49:44 AM
I think that memecoins are important for the crypto market, but not in the way that some people might think. Memecoins are not important because they have intrinsic value or utility, but because they have entertainment value and community value. Memecoins are fun, humorous, and engaging. They attract new and young users to the crypto space, and they create a sense of belonging and identity among their fans. Memecoins also generate a lot of media attention and social buzz, which can raise awareness and interest in the broader crypto ecosystem.

However, I also think that memecoins are not important for the crypto market in the long term, and that they can be dangerous and distracting in some cases. Memecoins are not important because they are mostly based on hype, speculation, and manipulation. They have no real innovation or differentiation, and they are often vulnerable to scams, hacks, and crashes. Memecoins can also divert attention and resources from more serious and valuable crypto projects, and they can damage the reputation and credibility of the crypto industry.

I support your point mate, meme coin where created for fun and the amount of coin in circulation are too much for the coin to be considered a coin for serious investment. those who invest in meme coin should be careful because there are several scam project out there coming from meme coins, and one thing that troubles me most is the ability of the coin to be easily manipulated. And the high volatility of the coin might bring loss to a newbie investor, however for you to be able to trade properly with such coins, then you must have your eyes fixed on the market to avoid losses.
513  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't be tired of hodling that potential coins. on: February 02, 2024, 06:24:41 AM
I learn som tin new here so, back to d question u asked, u can use d following to identify potential coin in the market : 1)Filter on the market cap, ( 2) check the exchange listing, (3) development activity and, you can use them as tools to identify potential coin in d market and dey will guide you to ensure you are comfortable with your potential coins without any fear of losses. Just do everything possible to hodl any of d potential coin in this bear season and wait for d  bull run to come before u can sell, it will make u to dey put your money on potential coins like Ethereum, Solana and BNB and u will like Wetin u go get in return.

Bro make I clear you say even shitcoin fit pass through all those process wey you mention and e go come look as if na legit coin, but na lie the coin no get any future at all. Even the halving wey we wan experience so, after the price correction wey go dump the price some altcoin wey follow dump no go fit come back up again so no be just to pass through KYC and make Dem list coin for exchange naim be say the coin no go fit be scam project, we gat dey careful for the kind of coin wey we dey shook body put, me na only Bitcoin I dey hold and I wan dey very aggressive with my holding rather than spreading the money for any other altcoins wey fit be scam.
514  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What makes BTC stronger. on: February 02, 2024, 05:59:58 AM
Based on the way wey Satoshi make Bitcoin, if to say people no believe in the coin come invest put, the price for just dey very small dey look us kpee for years. But based on say people(we) believe am come dey invest naim make Bitcoin fit get the kind of strength and name wey e don make, so wattin I dey talk be say na we we naim make am wattin e be today plus the mathematics wey baba Satoshi do when e dey program am. The concept of limited supply na one of the best code wey e write for the Bitcoin network, that alone na why I give am maximum. Because only that one sef go tell you say in the next year's to come Bitcoin price go dey much higher than this, more especially this period wey everybody wan dey fully digitalized and more person are coming into its adoption. Even government them wey been dey fight am, don dey see say no be Bitcoin be their enemy but na another wey for them to invest for the future of their children or themselves.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: February 01, 2024, 03:36:06 PM
Congratulations op for the hold step you took in purchasing your first Bitcoin. I like the fact that waited till you got a job before you began your investment journey, lots of newbies make the mistake of not seeking a job first and they end up going back to sell their coin when difficult times arise. I'll also advise you remove your coin from the exchange you used to a more secure custodian wallet like electrum, cause not your key not your coin. Exchanges might get hacked any day so to be on the safer side you have to move your coins. Having done that, I recommend you also make provision for emergency fund so that you'll not have to disturb your holdings in case of emergency were money is need to sort some things out.
516  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto Academy on: February 01, 2024, 11:48:46 AM
Op the name wey you give no dey wrong at all, because even if e no dey official say an institute wey dey teach about crypto, many people go attest to the fact say when them first come them been get zero knowledge about Bitcoin and the crypto network. Me I been living testimony, na when I enter this forum naim the knowledge about Bitcoin come really clear for my eye, before na just the basic knowledge naim I been get about am. And this forum don teach me many things about how important e dey to save your seed phrase offline securely. Indirectly this forum na crypto academy but talking more of Bitcoin since na em be the major reason for the forum creation.
517  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Two things I (we) noticed in the local board on: February 01, 2024, 11:42:27 AM
Look at some of the nonsense we see here these  there are a lot more and the best way to deal with this guys now is to follow up this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5472308.0 so that all this nonsense go commont. I really don't know what to say again oh. I know say e no dey easy to make comments in the forum but those guys wey dey come now e no wan learn. And di people wey dey bring dey e no dey guide dem. But even as dat dem for ask questions here so that day dem do learn and post. And we always tell dem to read and comment..

Already Mr igebotz don they give some of those accounts tags  make them for change their posting pattern if not that account go hardly see favour from anybody wey see wattin e write for the neutral trust. Newbie e be like the time of begging ona don pass, now na actions naim men go take dey community their feelings, because our boss tham don dey patient enough to let una learn, but e come be like say the more them dey advise na the more off topic wey we dey see for the local board, even today sef one account don chop neutral trust, so una better learn fast now than make person write say make nobody give you merit for your trust.
518  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Talented artist in Nigeria on: February 01, 2024, 10:35:25 AM
Ogah this your topic too off abeg how you go tell me say you sit down to think of post then na this kind rubbish come enter your head, we don dey talk since make newbie nor they post off topic and you dey here dey create this kind of thread, why una sef dey behave like this, we dey try keep the local board in a good condition, una go just come dey spoil things for people. Ogah if you know wattin good for you, just lock this thread before them knack you tag, meaning say your account don go be that.

I no mean to dey this hash but na the kind of things wey una dey do naim dey make me vex, how this kind topic wan take help the growth of this forum, just tell me? Make una dey try read other higher ranked member post to see how them take grow and get merit than to dey post all this kind topic wey no get single quality for inside.
519  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Inevitable truth about Bitcoin and principles on: February 01, 2024, 10:29:44 AM
Normally na wattin you sow naim you go reap. So if you buy 20k worth of BTC na 20k worth of profit naim you go receive, if you buy 100k na 100k worth of profit you go receive, you no go fit invest 20k make you come dey expect your profit to be the same with person wey invest 100k, as your investment amount dey increase na so your profit sef dey increase, so no magic go fit happen anywhere you start of recent with small small amount to be the same with person wey don dey since 2010. That na why we need to double our hustle to make sure say our investment plan also increase dey wait for us for the future. Now naim be the time to lay foundation dey wait for your future and you fit keep the saving for Bitcoin make extra profit sef enter your money.
520  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Dangers of the internet on: February 01, 2024, 10:04:11 AM
I see no reason to fear. If your reason for using the internet Dy legit. E no Dy easy to get our privacy from websites wey we Dy use. Na only when u commit nay person wey u offend  fit use the internet track you.
First the Incognito of a thing na my first time to hear about am nay make oyibo say "learning never ends". Only the legends know how to use the Incognito, as for me and my household we just browse any website wey get Wetin we need.

Actually the fact say our browser dey block some kind malware or suspected scam sites no mean say we dey safe. There are some things wey even the browser no go fit detect because hackers are becoming more creative and wise. However most of those links wey fit cause person to spy on you, or fit make them hack your device na through downloads and clicking of links. Sometimes na even through ads wey them fit use take enter your device, why sometimes through giveaways, some of those giveaways fit actually pay oo but as e dey pay na so them dey get you down. So them get many way to take catch person e no necessary mean say them go just burst your browser No! They are very creative so we sef gats dey on guard so that we no go fall for their tricks.
