I was able to successfully withdraw BTC from TH.

Haven't tried a Paxum withdrawal but I don't have any $$$ in there right now, only had BTC.

how much did you withdraw?
504  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best way to manage multiple rigs. Mgt program, miner, fallback, etc. on: January 14, 2012, 07:41:28 PM
Trying to figure how to use BAMT on ABCpool where each miner is a GPU.  The pools part seems to just allow one login.  Guess I need that info on each GPU line?!?

You can have as many pools as you want, add to /etc/bamt/pools one pool per line, if you look at the docs there are timeouts / submitted share thresholds too you can use in that file..

Alternatively, you could specify a separate pool file for each gpu if you so desire..

Yep.  I am not having any problems with tradehill myself, only used them once or twice, but I am curious so I have subscribed to this thread.
506  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seals With Clubs - Poker on: January 13, 2012, 04:30:43 PM
I just told a friend yesterday about bitcoins to use for online poker... He was ALL ABOUT IT. Unfortunately I told him about another poker site, that it looks like is now not sending deposits...  It sounds like Seals With Clubs is the biggest/best poker site I should be telling poker folks about to get them to use bitcoins?

I like it the best, just a shame there isn't more action..  I'd be alot more into bitcoin poker if the games weren't so sparse..  So would alot of my friends..

Why not borrow in USD ?   Ponzi scheme, no doubt. Wink

BTC *is* the business..

I'd bet he is facilitating trade in a market where bank loans are not an option, and the service he offers his clients comes at a premium because they  (his clients) also don't have options.. other than shipping packages of hard currency..  read between the lines..  There is tons of money to be made moving money around..
509  Economy / Goods / Re: {WTS} Westvleteren 12 - extremely rare trappist, best beer in the world on: January 13, 2012, 12:06:37 AM
hmm.. I should look in to that. I dont think its a problem, but I cant say for sure. its 10% alcohol, it doesnt freeze easily. and arent transport planes heated?

I am not really sure ..  being January in Canada though I assume that everything risks the chance of freezing at some point through its journey.  If it hits a semi trailer / short haul truck at some point for more than a few hours, yep, its frozen.   It is possible 2 day air mail does not.. but that would be daaaaamn expensive from luxemburg.. heh.  I wonder what the story is on importing alcohol anyways.. I imagine there is some type of silly restriction being that where I am from we pay crazy tax on our booze.

i want.. but luxemburg is far from canada.. as well I worry about it freezing and thus ruining it at some point in transit... hmmmmmmmmmmm

What if you have machines in MULTIPLE physical locations? Say one at home, another at work, and another at your little data center.
What would be the best way to manage it?
I am thinking installing logmein hamachi, so I can access the rigs remotely. But I am having problem installing hamachi on Linux.

I haven't even looked at how the miners report, what port or protocol they are using, but if you have miners in multiple locations that have vpn between them like we do, then it's great for multiple physical locations, as long as the miners have a route to the the box running mgpumon..  If you investigate which port(s) to forward and set it up correctly, this could theoretically work without vpn..  As for actually managing the miners, you would have to be able to ssh to them, one way or another..  Theoretically you could  build openvpn into the miners and have them connect back to you as soon as they get internet whereever they go or something like that..

BTW, did I mention to use BAMT?  Grin

+1 we are in the process of moving ~20GH over to BAMT, about 10GH is up and running on bamt for the past week or two and I do agree it is nicely done..  Only downfall is the original dev seems to have stopped working on it..  but if you're handy with linux that is not that big of a deal..  The mgpumon program is sweeeet for monitoring your farm from a central console, you can have miners from all over the place report to it as well.. If you set it up right, you can change all your aggregate hashpower on all miners to another pool in 1 minute, literally.

513  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 3x7970 Mining Results. on: January 11, 2012, 10:28:51 PM
NICE!  so if you factor in the hardware costs....  5970's will rule for a while.

How about the 5870's at bens for 140$, wonder how they will stack up to the 7970 at 550$

Well, remember, slots have a very large premium. 5970s aren't getting any faster, but the 7970 already is essentially as fast as one, and the 7990 will be twice as fast as that.

Any guesses on where the 7970 is headed with optimizations? Cheesy

fuck, updated the OP again with correct single card wattage.

OP - may be a silly question, but I haven't figured out how to get the voltage down that low yet.. what tool are you using?

thanks!

516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Missing transaction to customer on: January 11, 2012, 02:33:33 AM
Hi everyone,

Just hoping someone can help a customer of mine. I sent her 72.32 to address 13xAfVDRKXfiwJQDg91GycFZEkLXvPCGrF several hours back and according to http://blockexplorer.com/address/13xAfVDRKXfiwJQDg91GycFZEkLXvPCGrF it shows up in block 161600.

Her client, which was up to block 161162 last I heard from her, still does not show the payment in her wallet. Does anyone know why this might be or what I can do to help her?

Thanks!
Jeremy

If you have those numbers right she needs to wait for ~500 more blocks to download.
517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My initial Radeon HD 7970 mining benchmarks on: January 11, 2012, 01:38:53 AM
We grabbed a 7970 today to play with.. still on the fence if I am just going to sell it or not.. but I can confirm that the numbers in this thread are in line with what we are getting..  I have only pushed it up to 1125mhz and that's about as far as I will take it and no overvolting, but I can confirm it seems to run quite nice there doing 670MH all day..

518  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Want legit 7970 testing/benchmarking and tuning for cgminer and Diablominer? on: January 11, 2012, 01:36:23 AM
OP - How about a virtual contribution?  I have a 7970.. just got it today..  I might be willing to give you a linux box with full root access with 1 7970 installed for optimization purposes..  Is this something you would / have considered?

519  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] LIF.A, LIF.B, LIF.CX, and LIF.M on: January 10, 2012, 05:41:37 PM
@Peter  no LIF.CX dividend this week?

Sorry about the late response, I have been busy with various things the past couple days.

No LIF.CX dividend, I got clobbered in the New-Years jump, was not expecting the price to rise so quickly.

I am waiting to hear back from Shakaru about the mining situation. He has not been responding recently, and until things start moving again there will be no LIF.M dividends.

Good to see ya back!  Hope the clobbering wasn't too serious.. Tongue
520  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] LIF.A, LIF.B, LIF.CX, and LIF.M on: January 10, 2012, 03:31:59 AM
Baby, probably.
He seems to be a serious guy, and I doubt he's pulling a runner.

Ya I generally share that same opinion... but I can't help but find it interesting dividend day came and went and nothing..  It is almost 4 days later..  things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm... though I hope for nothing..
