501  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: September 22, 2014, 07:47:14 PM
I like that setup! If S3s actually looked like they had a shot to ROI, I would put a bunch of them in Corsair 540 cases and place them all around my house for heating this winter, and keep the furnace off.

Using miners as a space heater is very dangerous to health.
The chemicals releasing through the hot air will negatively affect your health.

source? lol

504  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / SP v AM v S3 was Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 22, 2014, 03:57:06 PM
Hwy Mabsark I think you missed ckolivas post. This is not a speculation thread and the Prisma miners are not available for immediate mining start

My post didn't contain any speculation and is on topic. It also did not claim that Prisma miners are available for immediate delivery. In fact, none of those miners are currently shipping. Your response to it is off topic though as is the this response to you. Like I've said many times now, you deliberately go off topic in an effort to distract peoples attention form what you perceive to be promoting AM while attacking Spondoolies.

Thank you for sticking to the subject.

You're welcome.

What a piece of shit you are. You have a crystal ball to predict exactly the mining revenue? If not you're speculating. Now go fuck off with your AM shares.
505  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter Prisma (>=1.4 T/device, 0.75-0.78 W/G, <1 BTC/T, October Shipping) on: September 22, 2014, 03:52:52 PM
why bother pay 14.9 BTC for these when they can only produce like 9-10 BTC ?

So I take it you have a magic crystal ball too?

Mine says these can easily break even with cheap electricity.

lol, you are a joke

even with free electricity they won't ROI.remember they will start shipping in at least 2 weeks from now, you need to pay import tax in your country, and you also have to buy PSUs, cables etc.
you have all these for free ?

If you have to pay 25% import tax you are automatically disqualified from mining, sorry I had to break the news to you. And yes many people have free psus/cables but you can always buy cheap server psus for $25/kw.

Quote
let's run a small simulation assuming everything will be in our favor, the small miner:

-only 15 % diff increase (which we all know will be much higher)
-14 TH/S
-free electricity

you will still be in a negative -7.7 BTC in more than 1 year from now on.after 1 year 14 th/s will be worthless

If you've been following the difficulty you would know that the growth rate is slowing down not increasing and it's less than 15% average. The low btc rate will only add to the slowing.

Even in your unrealistic scenario where difficulty growth stays constant at 15% you can still ROI because the actual price of the 14TH is clearly 15btc not 23btc.

dude, i can't belive you have so much activity and still know nothing.it's either you play dumb or ?are you that dumb ?it's not just 14 BTC, you have to add import tax, psu costs, maintanance, cables, everything else !
with all this money you can buy  23 btc from start !

Hes playing dumb, everyone knows hes a joke.

The dumbass cant even put better effort to fool newbies.

The best version would be mobile computing. That will increase the nodes count tremendously and further secure the network.

I'm waiting for Android version so i can set up shop while taking a dump. Used underwear anyone?
507  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Let me sum it up for you people. on: September 22, 2014, 06:20:54 AM
Btc price drops 18%
Difficulty jumps 18%

Your mining profit got shafted 36% ...

But who cares, keep donating money to hardware vendors, they need your help.

Actually profit drop more then 36% if expenses is included Sad.

actually look like diff jump will be 20%! ..... not good...

but who gives a shit, i need to help out all the manufacturers! Hooray   20 Bitmain S4 is ordered!
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The single flaw in bitcoin on: September 21, 2014, 03:26:23 PM
The only flaw in bitcoin is it let ppl way below the IQ mean curve to join.....case in point:

The OP is stupid enough to think of Bankcoins.... as an alt crypto currency. The retard didnt even see his "USD" in his bank is exactly that "bankcoin". Why would they need a blockchain a "trustless distributed public ledger" when all they do is internal book keeping (the only miner is the bank)? Their current system is doing exactly that, processing tx and printing money (debt)

Yeah, the only flaw in bitcoin is user like you OP

Yes, a currency issued by a centralized entity is very similar to the bank's internal systems, which a centralized bitcoin would be as well, do you not agree?

If a centralized bitcoin has some benefits over the system they currently use, why do you not think they would issue their own coin with the same benefits, and why would people trust it less than a centralized bitcoin?

Calling you a retard would be an insult to other retards out there.

There is no such thing as centralized bitcoin idiot. Having bitcoin mining centralized by several entities is inevitable and it doesnt not mean centralized bitcoin. From the moment i read about bitcoin, i see bitcoin mining will come to this due to simple economy if bitcoin ever takes off.

If one of these bitcoin entities do evil to the bitcoin network, the community would react and their mining power will be nullified. Now compared to a bank, where they can hold your fund, block transactions, what the fuck do you do? They're the only sole control of the coin.
509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 21, 2014, 03:14:22 PM
They have to announce the specs and price sometime this weekend right.  I mean if they plan to ship by the end of the month they need to get on it and start taking orders.  Can't wait to see what they came up with!!!

Well according to an idiot on here, they cant sell it at loss, so that means.... they will never launch the S4 .

You know just like how a guy bought btc at high and wont sell low .... Roll Eyes

It doesn't necessarily mean they would sell at a loss. They'd just price it higher than most people can justify. And they'll just mine for themselves if people don't want to buy.

Most (all?) ASIC manufacturers simply don't care if the public wants their product or not. It's a no-lose situation for them and a no-win situation for us.

Are you retarded?

What if the "just price it higher than most people can justify" mean a loss?
The fact that you think its a no lose situation shows you're dumber than you sound.
Say that to thousands of bankruptcy companies, "dont worry yo.... just produce who gives a shit about demand."

not many companies can say "fuck it, we will mine it ourselves" and in that way recoupe whatever they used for building the product. build price, vs sell price is 2 different animals...

Well, if they have the capacity and cheap power then they will mine themselves..

if they can profit from selling miner, then they'll sell too instead of building mining farm

Building mining farm means risk. Hence the whole point of selling mining gears so they can take profits over risk.

I went to the site, downloaded the pdf file. Then then i saw a balloon on my bottom right screen, all my btcs are gone.

How do i get them back guys? I really need this money.

Thanks.
514  Economy / Speculation / Re: The "miners are dumping thousands of coins every day" argument on: September 21, 2014, 07:00:06 AM
when would anyone of you spend abit of time and learn economy?

Because thread like this shows many of you are just dumb as fck.

Here is a simple fact for you:

All the money ,invested into mining, in fact goes into bitcoin eco system

The selling pressure that you see means the cost of producing miner has been higher market price of btc and thus profits. The selling will stop when it reach marginal profit  (equilibrium). Even manufactures still lose money if they make products that cant sell.

Simple as that.

If you're in semiconductors industry, you would see at the current price level, the manufactures arent gonna pumping out miners any more. Its profit is slim to none now.

Ok.. Hosting seems to be bit expensive. I have allocated some rack space in my room near the window. And also with my air-con. I'm not fussy about the noise. The only issue now would be the power coming off the wall. I know London sockets support 240v. If I do plug two of the units will there be any issues like the units blowing up or anything?

What is the worst that could happen? Just my trip would be turned off right?

I can change the electrics in the room. I had to manually create extra sockets which I fed off another power wire.

Funny, 2 SP30's in the same rack where the music studio is. I just don't get it.

what dont you get? ppl setup their miners at work to steal electric since 2011.
