GOD $*%&$* MOTHER %&$O*%ing verizon... I took a bunch of pics the other day of my setup while building and posted them online in my verizon album... They have since changed their site and it is impossible to find them now (I think they did away with it and instead of just saying that they say "Come check out our new PIX PLACE page" and it just takes you to a scrolling ad for new phones!).

***Rant off.

Anyway, check out the below link. I believe this is the one I bought. Basically used a soldering Iron to shorten the struts to the length where riser cards could easily stretch from a board up to the bottom of the next shelf. Then made a slot for the cards on the shelf above each board (using the soldering iron again).

despite maybe inhaling some plastic fumes (I did all of this outside) it was pretty painless...

Oh yeah... used the iron to punch holes in the shelves for screwing the mobos down.

I will try to get a pic on monday (out of town for the second).

Just built a new one out of plastic shelving from Lowes... cost 14 bucks for 4 racks (total of 3 motherboards and 8 cards... will be adding more cards shortly).

Dead cards seem to be drying up. Anyone breaking rigs down soon that have dead cards?

I would like to buy a couple of 5870s.

Prefer nice brands like XFX, gigabyte, sapphire.

Shoot me a pm or post in here with what you have, the condition it is in, and what you want for it.

Thanks,

Ebay's seller protection is a joke. You are NO SAFER selling on ebay then privately accepting paypal.

^Thanks man,

Yeah... card is mining away as we speak... Unfortunately not every repair can get cards to stop artifacting... someday when I have the time and money I might get a bga reball setup.

519  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB: Litecoins or bitcoins on: March 01, 2013, 12:17:30 PM
Hey guys,

Need some litecoins or bitcoins for transactions on the hardware forum. I need about $500 USD equivalent. Will pay 24 hour weighted average (may make more sense to do litecoins as bitcoins have been bouncing around more). *** If bitcoin I can meet you close to spot price ***

I have A BUNCH of successful transactions on that forum so I am looking to pay via paypal for the coins. I might also be able to set up a wellsfargo bank transfer if it doesn't prove to be much of a hassle.

If paypal is acceptable: I send first, then you send.

Obviously people get sketchy when paypal is mentioned so I would prefer the transaction to be with someone I've dealt with in the past or someone that has seen my posts and has gotten an idea of my successful transactions.

Thanks guys,
Andrew
