501  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: October 30, 2023, 02:15:19 AM
I had time to remove some users from mentioning in this post. Some user seems not active in the forum and some do not seem to have interest in discussion but the following users I found don't mind taking part in discussions and I will expect some feedback from them about the whole things.

wwzsocki, LFC_Bitcoin, klarki, The Sceptical Chymist, imhoneer, CryptopreneurBrainboss, Best_Change, andy_pelevin , KTChampions, Coin-1, Bitcoin_Arena, tranthidung, tvplus006, witcher_sense, DdmrDdmr, madnessteat, 1miau, FontSeli, YOSHIE, bullrun2020bro, light_warrior.

Using half an hour of your time will help you to make an informative decision that you will not regret later. Have you read the main topic yet?

Do you think he cares about his reputation on how people distrust him or not
He cares but he has ran out of stories. He knows he has caught red handed.
502  Other / Meta / Re: Deleted post in a self-moderated thread. No link to the thread. on: October 30, 2023, 02:03:25 AM
One thing I do is look at my post list for five days to see if it was recent. After that I mostly say fuck it oh well.
I don't even bother to recall if that is from recent or old. The expression I give is, F**k it!

Could be nice if we get some sort of info when we get such massages.
Like you hinted on the title, a link can solve it. I saw a user [sorry can not recall his username] who creates SMF patches. He may try something for theymos.
503  Other / Meta / Re: Investigation and action required. Unusual forum moderation. on: October 30, 2023, 01:55:33 AM
I haven't seen a single report from Ratimov for a long time, and even more so about his own topics. I will even clarify: I have not seen a single report on topics edited by Ratimov.
Quote
How could anyone have found out about this before? That there are many similar garbage topics in the Russian forum? After all, they are old and do not appear in the top of the Russian root. I didn't understand that.
Does look more fishy. The topics/posts were not reported but Xal0lex have managed to found 30 topics [we have no data how many posts] and deleted them! I too don't understand that and for sure many others will not.

Quote
I would not like to put the second moderator in a difficult position, but I was honestly surprised by the answer of Xal0lex:
I haven't personally counted how many topics I've deleted. Maybe 10, maybe more. And plus at the moment there are a few more of Ratimov's garbage topics in the section, which will also be deleted in time. You can go to the section yourself and see how many of these topics there are at the moment. You can also go to modlog and do the math yourself.
Unfortunately he is in a difficult position now.

Quote
I sent the first type to the archive (probably this was not part of his plans), since I believe that other users should not lose messages because of these strange actions. And often you can understand the meaning there even without the first post
I made notes for myself to know that these topics are in the archive, just in case he moves them to the Russian forum again.

The second type of topics in which there is no sense at all, I sent to Trashcan.

I sincerely do not understand why Ratimov did all this, since many topics have been useful and relevant so far. To be honest, I was hoping that he would answer this question himself.
That's exactly what responsibility means. The other mod seems ignored and, deliberately avoided the point on the other topic in his responses.

Quote
A little later I checked the history of his topics (Ratimov) and really found a lot of edited topics in the Russian forum. They can be divided into two types:
1. Topics where he edited only his own messages, and the posts of other users remained untouched
2. Topics where everything is deleted, and the first post is edited.
Thank you for giving a clear idea of how it was done. In the second type we assume these were self-moderated threads. The first type were regular topics, he deleted his own posts, emptied the main topic and then local mod [Xal0lex] cleaned it up.

Xal0lex would you help us to understand how you found the topics/posts to clean up if they were not reported?

You're falling into conspiracy theories. If you followed a modlog you'd seen that there was no massive deleting of posts in those topics by mods. There was only massive deletion of emptied topics with nonsense subjects. You can check it even without archives because actual log is still containing that data. I'm not a mod in here, but I'm sure that cleaning from nonsense is a mods job. I didn't report any on these topics because I didn't see them before they are being deleted, but if I've seen them, I'd reported them. I do report such nonsense in other cases.

Making an own small research before blaming someone in something could be good. Wink
Have you started your research from this topic from GazetaBitcoin? I will appreciate any input from anyone who have read that topic then read the 2nd topic from LoyceV.
504  Other / Meta / Investigation and action required. Unusual forum moderation. on: October 29, 2023, 03:22:07 AM
The main man needs to look into the matter, he has the supreme access of everything including access of the forum PM [the communication can be done using a none forum media too] and the database. No, this is not a reputation matter, this is a forum issue hence the topic is on the meta board.

The moderators in question: Russian local board moderators Xal0lex and xandry.

There are not enough public links for unusual moderation from xandry yet however since the activities concentrated in the Russian local board we can not ignore his involvement too. Again as I said the main man [Theymos] have ultimate access of everything for investigation. Let's bring everything that questions the unusual moderation.

Everything had started a few days ago when LoyceV created a topic about deleting his post in a self-moderated topic and later it found out that the same user was deleting several other's posts too from his self-moderated topic and the fact had established that he was deleting the posts to cover the trace of his past plagiarism, current feedback abuse, DT manipulation and his tactics of offering peace to negotiate any feedback left to him. Everything about the user has outlined very well in the topic "Should Ratimov be in DT?". It requires almost half an hour read to understand and realize the motive of the user. I highly suggest to read the topic, if you have not yet.

At some point it was discovered that Ratimov was following a very simple strategy to cover up his past and current evil activities to achieve whatever goal he has. The steps are following [the order of the steps can be different in case by case but it is believed that the executions were very similar as explained in the following]
[a.] He moves his topics to Archive
[b.] He deletes his own posts
[c.] He moves the topic to the Russian local board. This is where Russian moderators come into our knowledge.
[d.] He reports other's posts from the topics.
[e.] Moderators delete the reported posts because now these posts are irrelevant in the discussion
[f.] He removes everything from the main topic and makes it an empty topic
[g.] He reports the empty topic to the moderator
[h.] Finally the moderator wipes out the entire topic.

A very lengthy but simple and effective strategy to wipe out any unwanted record. Anyone can delete their past posts which is not wrong but the way the whole things were done, it was not usual.  It definitely is questionable. So questions were asked, we had our speculations too.

This raise concern that why he preferred to move an English topic to a non-English board [his local of-course] and expected it to be deleted or already deleted.
Therefore, unless Xal0lex was his "pal" for deleting evidence from Archival board as well, it means that some other mod helped him.
Maybe this is the reason:
I personally process reports regardless of the date of the post or topic.

Response were given but more like a few excuses with a few return questions. Sounds like a preplanned dialog in defense in case there are questions.
[....]
Why should moderators be ashamed of doing their job? What do you think a moderator should do if he sees such garbage topics in the root of the section under his control?
[...]
Do these trash topics have to stay in the section, or what? Go to the root of the Russian section and browse the pages, there are plenty of such topics. So what, let them lie around? What kind of moderator would allow such a mess? So naturally, the moderators delete them.

Anticipating a question about the content that was there, so that's not interesting to me. I see what's in those threads now. We don't need such trash topics in the section.

Unpleasant merit transactions found by GazetaBitcoin but I would like to accept speculation from LoyceV, "It's quite normal for a Merit source to Merit someone when they use the same local board. I don't expect the posts to be bad, so it's not wrong."
[...]
Ratimov is mod's no. 1 fan!
[...]
The appreciation is mutual! The mod also also chose Ratimov as his first destination of merits, sending him an amount more than double compared to his second most merited user.
[...]

How can a moderator or moderators do not see a single user is following a pattern and using him [them] to remove many other's posts including his entire topics. Not 1 or 5 or 10. Let's read what he said.
Since the appearance of your topic, I personally have deleted no more than 30 topics. Don't forget that the Russian section has two moderators. So no need to attribute to me what is not there (nepotism, etc).
30 Topic! Out of 78 and yet nothing looked unusual to him. That's only 30 topics, how many posts these 78 topics had those were reported and deleted?
A database query will surely show the numbers and also it will show how many topics and posts were deleted by the same moderator but he never thought something is not normal.

I would like to think you were fooled on the other hand I don't know if you had any personal reason to favor a local member.
No more speculations.

At some point the same moderator became unusually aggressive in his defense too.
Is my English so bad that you don't understand? Or are you trying to troll? What is not clear in what I wrote above? [...]
When you are not guilty, there are no need to lose your control. The moderation is questionable either it was a mutual agreement or an innocent irresponsibility.

What matter is, are we going to allow moderators who do not have a sense of responsibility, the liability and loyalty to preserve the reputation of bitcointalk? An investigation is required first to find if the moderators are guilty of mutual agreement or it was an innocent irresponsibility. Second, based on the result of the investigation, an action is required.
505  Other / Meta / Re: Services board is very hard to browse on: October 28, 2023, 09:00:42 PM
Well, moderators have chosen to do a job and theymos could always opt to hire more forum users as moderators. If we could get some staff or admins to chime in about how the workload is these days it would be very insightful. However I don't think there's as much spam lately as there used to be.
I can not remember who was the last mod but I can clearly see that so many of them are not active in moderation. The forum moderation is not incentivize much too, I get this idea from some other mods who actually think it's a volunteering job. It may sound exciting to be a forum mod but when you are not receiving much in return then basically you become slow. Feeling less responsible ultimately disappears the enthusiasm.

We can create many sub-boards but getting used to with the new boards and moving topics to the new boards is going to be a lot of work. The culture we created does not look, it has a good potential.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 28, 2023, 04:12:48 PM
Goooolazo! 1-Nil as Barcelona draw first blood after an awful mistake from Real Madrid at their backline. This could be something to build on for Barcelona, unlike having to chase any form of positive result from behind.
It's now 1 - 2 for Real and with that my hope for having another exact score [1 - 1] has ruined. In the Almeria vs Las Palmas match the same happened. I was hoping for an exact score [1- 1 draw] but at the 94th minute another goal.

By the way after 10 full rounds, after playing 99 matches on the pool I was able to hit an exact score in LaLiga LOL. 1 - 0 in the Girona vs Celta Vigo match broke the deadlock for me.
507  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: October 28, 2023, 03:51:13 PM
This topic really needs to continue hence this bump.

I would like to hear opinion from the following members. mprep, wwzsocki, LFC_Bitcoin, klarki, The Sceptical Chymist, DarkStar_, Hhampuz, imhoneer, CryptopreneurBrainboss, Xal0lex, Best_Change, andy_pelevin , KTChampions, Coin-1, Bitcoin_Arena, tranthidung, tvplus006, dkbit98, witcher_sense, DdmrDdmr, madnessteat, 1miau, FontSeli, YOSHIE, jokers10, zasad@, bullrun2020bro, light_warrior.

These are the people who Ratimov trust in his trust list. I will yet to see which of these already had their opinion in this topic [will mark it later] but most of these members either are not aware of this topic or ignoring the topic because one of their vote may reduce if they give an opinion and if goes against Ratimov. I really hope that's not the case. If it is not, then I would like your opinion [Please read the first topic carefully and make a response. Let's hope Ratimov was not using you all too as he was using the local moderators to achieve his evil goal].
508  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 26, 2023, 09:27:08 PM
Well, I agree with others. There is no reason for a self moderate topic to exist. I think this feature should just be removed. No one, except a moderator, should be able to delete someone else posts.
Disagree completely with you. Just because one idiot misuse great feature, it doesn't means that we should get rid of it. I think that forum without self-moderated topics would be much worse place than we have now.
Self-moderated thread is a forum feature, there is nothing wrong with it. This is itself is a self-moderated topic and I don't have any problem contributing in this thread but if this thread was from JollyGood then I would think more than once before posting because I know he will find a way to delete my post. Just because someone is using a feature for their own benefit and making it look bad, it does not mean the feature is bad.

Why do you think BenCodie needs to accept your philosophy in his life and can't have his own and vice versa. Ask 99% people who works in a company, you will find they are complaining, marketing department will sell you their product because they were asked to do so. They don't even believe in the product but that does not mean they are going to leave the job.

If a signature manager wants you to endorse their product they are promoting and you don't like it then don't promote anything they bring in the forum.
510  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Extra Layer of Privacy by XMR Bridge on: October 26, 2023, 04:23:32 PM
Of course. Verification and mixer cannot go together.
Your answer gave me this thought LOL
Needs verification only when you are given the Letter of Guarantee 😂
511  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov - prove yourserlf at least the plagiarism accusation on: October 26, 2023, 04:17:16 PM
Let me warn you again, stay away from my threads. Stay away from talking anything about me. You and me will be good.
JollyGood, I thank you to listen to me for the last few months. Good job boy but I think it's time for us to talk a little before we go to mute again. Okay?

Since Ratimov have proven he is well above status in dignity and respect than the OP by not posting in this attention-seeking drama thread after making it clear he will not be bullied, the OP should lock it. The OP had hoped it would provide a group of members backing him against Ratimov but it is clear he failed. Given the choice for what is best for this forum, I would always choose to have 1 Ratimov instead of 1000 BitcoinGirl.Club

I will ask a moderator to lock the thread as it is serving no purpose except proving the OP has failed in his plan against a trusted and respected member in Ratimov.
It was trash-talk, you did not mean it I assume. Are you still going to say [1.] Ratimov have proven that he is well above status in dignity and respected than [forget about me but anyone else who have general sense]? [2.] You would always choose to have 1 Ratimov instead of 1000 [whoever the fuck I am]? [3.] Ratimov is still trusted and respected member?

If you were not bitching at that time then fix it.
512  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: October 26, 2023, 04:01:00 PM
I have expressed my opinion about @Ratimov several times in the past and I have received nothing but ad hominem attacks and insults, which is why I put the same member on ignore a long time ago.
Guess what?
How many thousands of active members we have on the forum? 100K? More or less but it's obviously a large number. From all these users only one person who is Ratimov in my ignore list. No one else! Not even JollyGood [Not saying he is any better, I am sure some day someone will get everything together about JollyGood too and they will clearly show how harmful this user is too for the community. I just have no enthusiasm for any of it].

As far as I remember, Ratimov and some other members were is my ignore list from long ago and then in the new year, as the new year resolution, I cleared it all and wanted to have all to be good. After some day or week or I guess it could be month too, in one posts Retimov was criticizing it [it was like your removed me from ignore but your feedback is still on my feedback page] and he was expecting his neutral tag to be removed too. I am not sure if that was at that time or later, there was an escalate situation, things were not looking even good personally to me. I was feeling like I was the reason for this escalation so I thought to remove the feedback. [Oh] In the mean time he was also offering the solution of removing my feedback and he will remove his too. Anyway, feedback removed and I think at that time or later, I put him in my ignore list again. I feel ashamed that I failed to understand his evil technique at that time and I am sure many others too. We all had only one thing in mind which was to deescalate the situation. We were wrong.

One thing always crossed my mind is since when Ratimov started to dare old reputed members of the community and was using his slags. I do use slags [I don't think the people who had conversation with me have missed my F** words.] but I don't do it to hurt a person [except for a selective group of people who are threat to the forum].
513  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: October 25, 2023, 09:00:43 PM
@BitcoinGirl.Club: it seems that he accused you again of plagiarism, again with no evidence, LOL! Just the usual. At least he did not use a negative tag this time. His feedbacks actually become more and more hilarious as time passes.
It proves the point again that you were making in your first post of this topic.

Would you all be more responsible? Please read the OP. You are directly supporting an evil knowingly or unknowingly. You now have a chance to understand the whole situation better, don't keep yourself blind anymore.
514  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 08:42:57 PM
And now mods are also actively contributing to his attempts of deleting any remaining evidence of plagiarism. All good.

Is my English so bad that you don't understand? Or are you trying to troll? What is not clear in what I wrote above? Moderators do NOT delete posts and information from Ratimov's topics. He does it himself. Moderators only delete EMPTY topics that nobody needs. What good will it do if these topics remain in the section as they are? Who needs them? There is nothing there anyway.
Xal0lex do you see you are not helping but making it bad for yourself. This type of response points the fingers more to moderators. It's better to admit that you failed to act properly and was victim of Ratimov's evil plan when he use the holes. But instead you are attacking a user who actually is trying to help you [by pointing the fingers on your eyes] not to make the same mistake again in the future. If you are not a part of the plan then there are no reason for your to get upset and angry. What a mess!

I'll add my 3 cents.
It seems that the period of insults has already passed, and it was said that members of the DT should behave with restraint.
The word insult “rat”( кpыca) in Russian is very bad; for such an insult the opponent’s face will be beaten no less than for telling the opponent to go to hell or saying bad things about his mother or relatives.
Maybe in English this is not a very strong insult, but in Russia such words can cause death. And any verbal phrases associated with distorting the opponent’s last name usually lead to fights or murders.
Ratimov is not a nickname, but a real surname. And you, intentionally or unintentionally, continue to insult your opponent.
Can you be on topic with your 3 cents? Are you one of the DT supporter of Ratimov? If you are, do you think he deserves it and not dangerous for the system? Have you read the topic yet? If not then read everything before planning to write anything else. I was mistaken too.

I haven't done anything with any of the above Ratimov's topics at this point. So another moderator is handling them.
I see three of them are in archival board. Sorry don't get me wrong by thinking I am attacking [personally] you. I am frustrated to see the forum moderation became so poor over the years. If one user was [mis]using you all officials then I have no idea how many others are unnoticed so far.

What do you think a moderator should do if he sees such garbage topics in the root of the section under his control?
Isn't that what bans are for? To stop people from posting garbage?
Yes, off-course!

Now add this
So what, let them lie around? What kind of moderator would allow such a mess? So naturally, the moderators delete them.

Anticipating a question about the content that was there, so that's not interesting to me. I see what's in those threads now. We don't need such trash topics in the section.

Also add this
I don't have the authority to ban users.

And finally add these two too
I would like to think you were fooled on the other hand I don't know if you had any personal reason to favor a local member.

The official moderation is not working.

I wonder if Ratimov was the only one who nailed the pin in their coffin.

The moderators should be ashamed of it.

Why should moderators be ashamed of doing their job? What do you think a moderator should do if he sees such garbage topics in the root of the section under his control?

One topic shows an error to me "appears to be either missing or off limits to you". Other three: one with 2 merits, one with 24 merits, anther with 30 merits [I hope my count is correct]. Not saying it should be an obvious indicator but those topics must have good contents hence they were merited. Let's leave it to see it from that aspect.

When you were or are removing topics of a user constantly, shouldn't an alarm bell in your head of checking what is going on with this specific user's topic. If it does then I think we expect moderators should do better job but just to remove the topics. Sometimes you need to move out from your comfort zone and act in proper manner, if you fail at-least seek help from others [here from the community] to see if anything unusual is going on. Clearly those topics emptied by Ratimov and popping them to your report board were unusual but you decided just to work like a scripted bot?

I would like to think you were fooled on the other hand I don't know if you had any personal reason to favor a local member.
518  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Extra Layer of Privacy by XMR Bridge on: October 25, 2023, 02:17:03 PM
- How can someone verify that you've actually used XMR bridge? As far as I can see from your website, I send you bitcoin and I receive bitcoin. I have no manner whatsoever to verify that my bitcoin were acquired by exchanging for XMR.
A brand does it's business with the confidence they earn from their community and loyal users. Although we expect Bitcoin to be trust-less which it is but when you are exchanging your bitcoin with others then you and other user making a trust based deal. For any mixer it will not be impossible to show you their mechanism but if they do and make it public then I think the goal of mixing become useless.

If you need verification then it's better for you not to use a mixer at all.

this 5 minute per post rate limit is quite annoying. Tried responding to everyone here earlier today but I wasn’t able to lol.
I don't give blame to you for this. You are new to this forum so you are not aware of how to use it. The newbie limit is to protect the forum from spammers. It's there for a reason. There is a rule that you can not make multiple posts in a row which means until a new post by others, you can not make a new posts. So to reply everyone you can just use one post. All you do is edit the posts and add your response until a new post made by anyone else.

Considering the fact that it's probably their SOP for enhanced security [and probably govt. compliance] for suspected fund of ML, that the same practice also performed by other casino, and thus the fund was already sent out of their "pocket", how do you propose rollbit knows it's a "dead" address? That it's no longer accessible purely because OP waited more than one year to perform KYC?
The difference is the timeline was not a day or two but it was 15 months [if I read it correctly yesterday]. It's a very long time to check if someone's belonging is still in their possessions before sending it back to them.

By this, he was again making the moderators fool. It's not new from him. The moderators should be ashamed of it.

Unless he has a shenanigan going on with the mod which accepted to delete the topics incriminating him.
Local boards are on my ignore list to keep my forum view simple. I had to use another browser to see the mods of Russian board. xandry, Xal0lex, would you confirm how many topics you have deleted or do we have a way to check statistics of which moderator deleted which users topics, posts how many times?

This raise concern that why he preferred to move an English topic to a non-English board [his local of-course] and expected it to be deleted or already deleted.
