502  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: July 04, 2014, 11:48:32 PM
couldn't find the "Picture of your mining farm" thread so i guess this will do.

phase 1

That's never gonna work with those AC units lol

That could very easily work - depends on the ambient. If it's in a polar region there's no need for AC - just vent the top off and use good filtration.  Problem is we can't what's off the picture, perhaps they have evap coolers.
Agreed.  Could very easily fly provided room's ambient temp is relatively low and air circulation throughout the room is decent.

the a/c could easily handle this room if you can vent the heat out of the room...just have to build a box/wall where the heat is coming out n vent it out the room...shouldn't cost that much...i made an enclosure to vent the heat for my jups for 150 bucks...1 fan n some plywood...easy Smiley used a attic heat remover fan...finally nice n cold in my basement again
503  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Playstation 4 for BTC on: July 04, 2014, 11:03:54 PM
Hi all,

I'm looking to find the best price for a brand new Playstation 4 to be shipped to Australia.

They're about $550 AUD here, is anyone able to beat that? I'll be paying with BTC.

can't you find one online and have it shipped there?
504  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: July 04, 2014, 04:15:48 PM
I have a question...

If you dont have a big house with a big room just for miners.... where will you place miners in an apartment? Because i see you have big houses, not apartments, most of you with big rigs Tongue

if its an apt. you ain't running big rigs...apt. don't have that much power you can tap into...unless your using the whole apt. to try n mine with, n then you probably won't be able to use much of anytyhing that uses power etc. tv, toaster, microwave...hehe unless you tap into the circuit breaker box and wire your own setup...but even then i doubt there is enough power...
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 04, 2014, 05:08:29 AM
Good news guys.  I have reduced my VRM temps by 20 degrees C with my new delta fan:

Heres a comparison with the other cubes that still have the stock fans:

Only problem is that it sounds like a Boeing 747 but i would rather be deaf than having burnt VRMs.

weird...the cooler one is higher amps...that doesn't make sense...usually the cooler the vrm the lower the amps...at least that is what i see on my jup units...oh well good job on lowering the temps Smiley
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 04, 2014, 04:38:51 AM
Not true... Many of us mined around 50 coin per Jupiter... just so you know....

And it cost, what, 60 coins?
... and Yifu Guo was no angel. There were a lucky few who got Avalons early, but make no mistake,
Avalon is just as guilty(or more) when it comes to orders which were delivered late.

Most of batch-1 that was a big winner. Batch-2 was a toss up. Everything after that was a disaster.

Jupiturds cost around 78!! meaning the ONLY way you could be happy with a 50 coin return is if....they were bought with STOLEN coins/coins bought with STOLEN bank details!!  (or you are retarded...)

Agree about Avalon Batch 1 - gutted i missed that by fear, uncertainty & doubt.

Batch 2 was pretty shit though all things considered - april delivery turned into mid august shipping etc...

I paid with PayPal.... Idiot; at a time I had a single coin I mined with GPU's.
and BTW, worked very hard to be able to get a few Saturns. I sold My fucking bad ass 2004 Subaru Outback, sold my entire comic book collection, and  several hundred orchids along with sacrificing "Good meals" for Top Ramen to be able to mine you Jackass. I endured every hardship there has been to deal with on those machines as well. They were shipped to the wrong place, had the wrong pool and password information programmed in, had bad URL's programmed into it, and had the "Dead Die problem to deal with, practically pioneering the wifi networking situation, discovering heat woke them up... lightning strikes (literally) and got slammed by both GOX and the CTSminer scam, and gave out about 5 grand in total reward money
You know what? I still turned a profit, so suck my chocolate salted balls and get a life.
I'd do it all again. I'm a die-hard tech junky addict that loves to tear things apart and make them better, but you wouldn't know about such things, because you are too busy having your head up your ass.
Besides, June 3rd, 2013, when ordering began, the price was 115 dollars, which makes a Jupiter 60 coin, not 78 again, idiocy
Your antics are futile.

damn phoenix...don't hold back...tell us how you really feel Smiley wow to still claim profit after all that is a very nice...now had you paid in btc, you'd be screw hehe...wish i had the money to pay in usd at the time and i'd be sitting pretty right now too...oh well what can ya do...gratz on the profit
507  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: hashfast 0.7 TH hashcoins apollo miner for sale on: July 04, 2014, 04:06:52 AM
https://www.hashcoins.com/buy-asic-miners/buy-apollo/

System Specifications

• Contains (1) 28nm ASICs
• Performance: 700 GH/s at nominal clock speed.
• At the wall, this unit consumes 0.85 watt per gigahash +/- 20%
• Chassis: Corsair Graphite 230T
• Corsair Hydro Cooling System
• 1 Internal High performance Corsair power supplies
• Connects via USB to a computer of your choice running cgminer (a “control unit”, see below)

Recommended Control Unit
• Win/Mac (desktop, laptop), with the following:
• 1G RAM, 50GB or larger disk, at least one USB port
• I.e., most any computer that can run CGMiner
• Needs an ethernet port to connect to the internet
• Needs one USB port per miner

• Linux: Raspberry PI controller is preferred.

Chip Specifications
• 28nm ASIC

** USB is a standard protocol. An OSX or Windows box running CGMiner will probably work fine as a control unit. But we are doing our development work on Windows boxes, and so we recommend using a Windows box for your controller.

this a joke right? you want 2k for 700gh/s? one S3 is 500gh/s for 500bucks hmmm which one do you think someone will pick?
508  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Some GPU's on: July 04, 2014, 03:56:20 AM
Anyone?  I heard that GPU mining is all the rage these days!

you got to be joking right? but i'm interested in the msi 280x gamer edition...did you mine with it? if yes, does it artifact? i will be using this as a game card...i fried almost all my gpus mining btc on them last year...still have a 6990 going strong...but just in case i'd like to have a backup
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 04, 2014, 12:37:51 AM
Yes!
The idea was if we get the big ass cooling tower, bar, and blanket out of the way, we may be able to cool those VRM's a bit better.... what ya think?

I agree.. Since they sheered the aluminum the blankets are going to vary based on the unit, some will work much better than others.. I would like to try replacing the current setup with the same type of bracket on the old Neptunes, possibly some small VRM heatsinks (with 48A the heat dissipation is pretty insane) and a higher CFM fan.. I suspect that will be the easiest option that provides plenty of heat dissipation..

I'm most interested in swapping out the VRMs for the 50A version, I suspect they can really be pushed if that jump is taken... While on the Nov we can drive the VRMs much higher they still don't hit the 48A hard shutdown, in the Neptune the stock config is within a few percent of 48A..
Ah yes.  The old Jupiter bar would be great, but that would also mean losing the box totally because the holes are on the wrong sides (in previous posts). No problem there really.
The ericcsons they are using in Neptune are auto-shutting down at 48a?... and pushed within a couple amps?. Damn.
Theres gotta be a cheaper way than buying 8 new vrms for every pcb....
Hmm...  well...  we will soon see exactly what those limits are if Tolip has anything to say about it...hehe

I'm not sure how hard the limit is enforced but per the datasheet for the VRM it cannot be raised past 48A and the VRM is supposed to shutdown at that number..

I hope it's soft enough that they allow maybe 50A before a hard kill but some testing will tell..

check out the thread pictures of your mining rigs...guy put a neppy board in that novac stuff...with volts -0,073 and 500mhz clock vrms were at max 52a-50a and a cool 60c Smiley but he said if he pushed farther it would shut down Sad so idk if much above 500mhz is possible with these vrms...good luck guys
510  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: July 03, 2014, 11:45:15 PM
So you are pretty much maxed then with 50+A on those vrms?

It looks like it.  Every time I try and go higher voltage the die's get errors and shut down.  I will keep testing though.

actually your lucky to get 50a outta them...OCP is suppose to be 48a...those vrms are only the 40a model but i'm pretty sure ya knew all this...at those volts with those temps...that is really really nice!!! so how much does a stock neppy get vs yer oc'd ov'd monster get?
511  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [S] 2 antminer S1's for sale - un-used on: July 03, 2014, 03:07:48 AM
Scamming lowlife thieving fucktards everywhere. Hope they rot in hell. Give me a minute in a room with them they'll never scam again.

now i'd pay for that

Me too. Scammers are complete shit bags. I've lost close to 4 BTC or so thanks to scammers.

21 coins lost here Sad i'm too trusting i tell ya Sad  I'd make even ognasty escrow if he sold me something at this point Smiley
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 03, 2014, 02:46:29 AM
Actually it currently takes 10 days with 3.3 TH/s to mine a bitcoin.

Can you imagine what its going to be like for the August/Sept SP30 customers ? Thats a few more diff changes down the road still ...

pretty much screwed like all the rest of the preorders to date...only one that worked great was avalon preorder...everyone thinking they will get that kind of success
513  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: July 03, 2014, 01:31:50 AM
Yes, the temps would be very interesting to know.

I will set it up again tomorrow and take temp readings.  I only had a short time today to mess with it.

From what I remember though all the dies were at 59C +/- 2

nice...also temps of vrms too on adv. page Smiley thxs

do you think temps will be higher when you have more units in there?

Looked normal to me about every 2 days

well, last payout was on 29th, and from 29th till yesterday, there were more than 2 days, and there are still 1.5 BTC to pay...

you'll get your payout...but now it'll take you longer cause you stopped mining...the payout system isn't meant to be quick payout like everyone seems to like...i'd take security over quick payouts anyday...least i know some hacker can find a way to take my payout Smiley boy guild or ghash would be screwed if hackers broke into those wallets n drained them lol

517  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Z Core Dragon 1TH Miners for sale $1400 WO PSU/ $1460 With PSU on: July 02, 2014, 11:15:21 PM
I have trade feedback, no need to scam when Im reputable,

your trade feedback doesn't look all that promising...nothing to warrant someone trusting you with 1400 bucks...but good luck with your sales Smiley
518  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: July 02, 2014, 11:10:54 PM

Looks pretty sweet.

Few questions about your setup:

Why is the pcb tilted instead of flat?

How are you dealing with the pressure? Any vents?

And do you think it would work without the peltier cooler assistance?

The PCB is tilted for no reason.  It just kind of sat that way due to the cables pulling on it a little.

There is space at the top for pressure to escape.

Sure it would work without the peltier chip in an open bath.  You will lose fluid over time though if you don't condense it.

I am using a much bigger box for my final unit and hopefully I can fit 20-25 Neptune cards in the box with a very large radiator.

I will add them 5 at a time until I can't dissipate the heat anymore.

Here is the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk3Vydo-L58

what was the temp when it was running for awhile? that is awesome man nice job Smiley
