501  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is anyone that held throught 2013 crash worried about the current situation? on: February 09, 2018, 09:40:56 PM
Can't blame people to risk money into something they don't fully understand. There'd be naysayers and doubters spreading FUD and fear while you are quietly building profits on your arsenal. It also became a lesson to me, when every push to $300 are regarded as 'dead cat bounces' by permabears, it's a sign that you should wait for the price to go down again and buy as many as you can. Made a decent stash by waiting on weekends to buy cheap coins and profited more than I could imagine. The thing is, when these bears are spreading FUD and fear, that is the time to buy when everyone else is selling their hard-earned bitcoins.

I just have the feel that im surrounded by people that joined Bitcoin in 2017. I can't stand all these complete morons on Youtube making videos about Bitcoin with their obnoxious thumbnails. It was way better when it was underground, but I guess this is the world we live in now, and thanks to these idiots panic selling, we'll profit buying the dip and taking their cheap Bitcoin away from their hands, which they never deserved to own to begin with. I researched enough to feel confident about getting involved in the middle of a crash, but these people are clearly jumping on the bandwagon for no reason other than internet traffic.

I can't wait for the next ATH, I'll add them to my collection of people that were wrong. Im making a nice folder filled of screenshot. I got many from back in the MtGox crash period.
It would be nice to see those screenshots soon but for now just collect it. Post it here in this thread by 2020, it will be a nice way to look back to the current happenings now. If you can't stand what those morons are doing, never mind about them, and just take their btc whenever they sell it cheap. I can't wait to see the current price by the year 2020.
502  Economy / Speculation / Re: $9,800 will be the target for current uptrend, bullets are fired. on: February 09, 2018, 02:06:14 PM
it is a little hard for me to believe that $9800 will be the target because some price levels are kind of "fate sealing" if that's a thing! what i mean is if price goes closer to the major buy support that everyone knows which was at $10k that can practically turn some switches on in some traders to jump in with both feet and price may shoot up above $10k so much faster and easier than any other time.
It ain't that hard since OP only mentioned that it is the target for the current uptrend, not the highest possible price that this uptrend can reach. You are right that it might shot up higher than we think but for now the safest target is 9800$ because it is the most achieveable high target as of the moment. For now, The bulls (probably) are starting to accumulate btc little by little before bullish trend occur.
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: shameless on: February 09, 2018, 01:07:03 PM
Thanks for so much information OP and for very constructive and long thread but I don't see why is this in bitcoin discussion. Move it to altcoin section please.
They are having serous problems with security. But, hackers.....it' very strong accusation....give some proof
It looks like OP has been fished.
He really has been since he typed the website wrong. And now he's blaming MEW's official team for it. Give us proof if ever your accusations are real OP. Most probably those who have your account are those who owned the phishing site and not myetherwallet team. I have been using their service for a long time and I haven't encountered such problems ever since I have used their service.
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Will be Zero on: February 09, 2018, 11:49:30 AM
In the morning I read the news where one of the leading multinational finance company stats that the “Bitcoin & Other Cryptocurrency will be zero”. So is it possible? If possible then which instructions should be followed getting out of debt?

I think there is always a chance that BTC will be worth 0 one day, even Satoshi Nakamoto say "I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume".

It is well known thing that banks and other financial institutions do not have a friendly attitude toward BTC and others crypto coins, something like that is a threat for today's system in which they generate huge profits. So you do not have to be surprised when you read such news,it is only FUD and it show that system is in fear of change and losing control.

I think that BTC is show resistance through the years and it is far away from 0.
You are right and I cannot see a scenario where btc is going down to 0 in the near future because of a lot of support not just from users, but from citizen's of countries that have legalized it. Also, some financial institutions doesn't see Bitcoin as a threat. In fact, some of them wants to harness the innovative tech of bitcoin to further improve their services. Some governments also just only want to regulate it but they don't see it as a threat anymore.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profit for one investor means loss to the other one? on: February 09, 2018, 10:04:14 AM
Whether it is true or not that in markets like Bitcoin (crypto) ; one person gains only when the other losses some thing.  Suppose one person bought one Bitcoin for $5000 in January 2017 and sells in June 2017 for suppose $10000 he gains $5000 by selling.  Now the purchaser in June 2017 @ $10000 sells it for $6000 in January 2018 and as a result  he losses $4000.  So it is clear from the example that the profit of seller in June which was $5000 includes the loss suffered by the person who bought it in June 2017 and sold in January 2018.
If there are some other reasons for this profit / loss factor, I request other members to please share their knowledge with the platform because my opinion may be on the basis of partial truth and there may be other factors responsible too.
You are partially right but those who bought what someone sold can still profit in the future. The full truth is that, the Bitcoin is being passed from one user to another using a process called trading, which have two categories, the buy and selling. Bitcoin is being passed from the seller to the buyer and then the buyer later on can become the seller to pass it on to another person. The buyer can profit if he/she can sell it at a higher price.
506  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Bitcoin Bull is not yet over" on: February 08, 2018, 11:42:01 PM
I just read this comments on reddit and I believe this should encourage some of us to keep holding our Bitcoin! This is a hard things to do in the present of this bearish trends that we have seeing since the beginning of this year. I think we are going to have a new set of holders if we sell our coins now and this might create a new investors out of the dump.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7w2f83/bitcoin_bull_is_not_over_novogratz_raises_250/

I agree, generally. But this widespread sentiment that "the bottom is in, next stop $100k" is beginning to worry me. If most people agree on that, then some more shaking of the trees is in order.

We've been through lots of corrective cycles characterized by bull traps and eventual rounded bottoms. The weekly candle closed below the 20MA. That hasn't happened since early 2016. I am very bullish on Bitcoin in the next few years. But we should be open to the idea that something has changed regarding the mid-term bull trend. Bitcoin has bull-trapped a lot of people for 2 months now, so there should be significant resistance overhead.

These levels will become more precise as we approach them, but my general take hasn't changed: $11k-13k, maybe a bit higher, should serve as solid resistance to sell. Then, wait and see where the bulls support the price. Hopefully the lows are in at $6,000. But I wouldn't wait until sub-$6,000 to sell.
You are right since in that price range, the resistance comes from bitcoin hodlers themselves. I also doubt if ever bitcoin would rise back to price higher than that in the next coming weeks, there is too lot of hodlers that wants to sell IMO and most of them doesn't want to wait until sub $6000. I also wonder if we will see another dump or not in the next days to come? Well I hope that isn't the case.
507  Economy / Speculation / Re: One last dip before moon? on: February 08, 2018, 02:10:06 PM
hey everyone
i was looking at bitcoin charts
and i feel like we are in a replay atm
if what i think is right then we still have 1 more dip before back to $13k~15k
BUT
if this happen
IF THIS REALLY HAPPEN
this last dip gonna going to be "deep"
i predict $4k maybe $3.500
if bitcoin hit $9k before this.. i'm gonna sell everything to rebuy later
someone think like this too?  Roll Eyes

I am going to HODL even if the price is dropping badly. I may be kind of blaming myself for not selling at $18k then buying again but I don't regret anything. I started from 0 and I don't mind returning to it. I believe in bitcoin and that's enough for me.
And this picture tells it all. Moon we are coming

You are right after all you didn't predict this dump would happen after all. The wisest move one could do right now when bitcoin is already inside one's wallet is to hold because even if bitcoin does a bearish trend again, soon in the future the market itself will present a good exit point and another good entry point to rebuy. I wonder if moon will really come soon? That's what we'll find out in the next coming weeks.
508  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinmarketcap analysis Bitcoin & alt coin price (Daily update) on: February 08, 2018, 01:17:17 PM
Today we are here::

Even though that is the case, the market haven't completely recovered yet from the crash that have happened. For now what we are certain about is that crypto market is becoming as resilient as stock market as days pass by. That being said, I am sure that the market will recover and do a pump again on it's own due time. It's better to accumulate now while market is still on recovery phase.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized exchanges (e.g. AirSwap, 0x, etc.) are these a good buy? on: February 07, 2018, 01:59:55 PM
Especially seeing how exchanges are getting hacked (whereas block chain based exchanges can't be hacked on a same massive scale, safe through individual's account who do not practice the usual precaution), or the Chinese government actively banning activity on centralized exchanges that can be easily shut down, no need to worry if the exchange might run away with your funds (i.e. these exchanges also acts as blockchain based wallets for your altcoins).

Maybe 2018 will be the year for these Decentralized Exchange projects to prosper too?

I'm seriously considering to get into AirSwap (AST) as one of my lower MCAP altcoins now (for its potential for bigger %gains due to the low MCAP).
IMO decentralized exchange utility tokens are a good buy specially when they are better above the rest. It is very likely that people will turn into using decentralized exchanges if hacks here and there continues and if banning of crypto happens soon on another country. 2018 might be the year for Decentalized exchange projects to prosper but if they wont this year, I am sure that they will in the next few years.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To buy crypto on: February 07, 2018, 12:50:34 PM
hello is there any exchange or any site available to buy crypto, accepting master visa card payment..? Huh Huh
I suggest that in order to buy other cryptos, buy bitcoin first on sites that accepts master visa card as payment for buying btc. One of the best site I know to do this is coinbase. IMO they are one of the most user friendly site out there that helps users buy bitcoin using visa card payment. You can also try changelly if you want to buy ethereum directly and then just convert it into other cryptos. Use the method that you think is more convenient for you.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Developing own blockchain from the scratch - is it worth the effort? on: February 07, 2018, 11:43:18 AM

What you guys think?
It depends on your idea, for my idea i can go with existing blockchain platforms instead of creating one and getting miner onboard which is a huge task to do atleast in beginning

Good point. But I'm thinking of Proof of Stake implementation. And, won't  own platform be more beneficial in the end?
Own platform would be beneficial in the end after all fixes have been applied since it will be a secure one. Allthough that is the case, it will require more work than usual but looking at the bright side, it can help you show your investors that you are serious in your project by always developing your own blockchain tech. It will also be more unique that way.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Dogecoin still not adaptable ? on: February 07, 2018, 10:43:54 AM
Yep. Dogecoin is a sh*tcoin and has nothing to do with everything. It is here for 4 years and today's volume is $16 916 000 USD. Also http://blocktivity.info/ shows me that Doge has more transactions  than Dash and BCH. But wait - that doesn't mean anything. Just another sh*tcoin.
If I were you I wouldn't call it as another sh*tcoin since it is a coin with it's uses of it's own besides those others referred as sh*tcoins. It can be used for a fast and cheap transaction nowadays and also in gambling. Although that is the case, I agree that Doge doesn't have anything to do with the current price movements and everything else
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex market removal on: February 07, 2018, 10:15:07 AM
Hi, I just want to ask the more experienced people here what does it mean about Bittrex market removal of BTC-FUN and ETH-FUN?
Is it the same as FUN being delisted?

So shall I sell all my FUN coins before Feb 9th?

Your clarifications on this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Bittrex market removal is the same as a coin being delisted. In your case, FUN would be delisted. You should sell your FUN coin when you don't want to move it to another exchange but you can also transfer it on another exchange. To clarify my answer further, do what you want in it since it will stop trading on bittrex in Feb 9 but it is still tradeable on another exchange.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the market turn and start growing again? on: February 06, 2018, 08:26:29 PM
As soon as everyone starts shouting about the lowly in one voice and the collapse of the exchanges, then the market will unfold. This will say that those who used to shop earlier started selling the crypt. At this time, large players will buy crypto currency from nervous people, and when bought up, news agencies and TV will begin to generate a positive background for crypto-instruments. A new rally will begin without those who left the concert.
That's one positive way to look at how things were going but when will those large players act? I am sure that if ever they have done something to manipulate the price, it would be hard to regain the trust of some who sold(those who invested in Crypto just recently) even if media tries to generate a positive background for cryptocurrencies. I think instead of a rally, a little slow rise will occur.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis is Coming on: February 06, 2018, 10:46:32 AM
Suddenly the Dow Jones index is very popular everywhere and I believe that this is also affecting the bitcoin or crypto exchanges also. Because it seems that people are taking the whole thing out of fear and they think that the fall in Wall Street might just affect it adversely. So surely the bitcoin fall is really temporary and I believe that we gonna enjoy the upcoming days for the bitcoin. I mean it could happen that people might just choose crypto currencies so that the number of investors here will increase dramatically and thus we will enjoy increased market cap. The prices are going to increase too so just seat tight and hold your bitcoins. :-) There is no crisis its just good news for us.
Besides that, it is very likely that FUDs will stop soon and we might be seeing the bottom of the dump now. Either way I don't care what happens to bitcoin after this day since if it dumps, I will buy some bitcoin again, if it pumps, then I am in for a little profit taking if it pumped enough.  Either way, just hodl whatever amount of bitcoin is in your wallets so that it wont become food for the whales.
516  Economy / Economics / Re: seems that China is on the move again and influence price on: February 06, 2018, 09:43:08 AM
finnally some good news from china for all server operators
and bad news for all crypto currencie holders (but it will pick up again dont worry)

https://news.bitcoin.com/china-block-access-international-cryptocurrency-exchanges/

China wants to use the great wall again this time in web tech and block acces to all external sites just to make shure that crypto trading is stopped in china.

makes sense more and more multi millionaires appear in China so the communist party is shitting theire pants full of crapp.

they dont want a new revolution like the last one IF YOU CAN REMMEMBER "Tanks on the big square where the students where protesting"

Anyway for those who did not know happy to post these kind of things for you

At least China wouldn't block bitcoin and cryptocurrency itself. Probably those who caused price to drop are the Chinese traders dumping most of their assets since it will be hard to bypass the great firewall of China for some of them. After this, probably we won't here any more FUDs from China in the next coming months as they will cut off ties with cryptocurrency trading and investments.
517  Economy / Economics / Re: buy high and sell low. or hold which one is it? on: February 06, 2018, 08:20:44 AM
after this major price correction. i want to see what are your ideas on this. lets say you bought bitcoin 2 years ago. you notice prices were high at 19,000$ should u sell or continue to hold? what are your thoughts after this huge correction?

it is probably too late to sell after holding since the 19000$ correction.
If that was me I would sell half or more than half since if I have bought Bitcoin 2 years ago, then the price Bitcoin have right now won't be that bad of a sell point, there is still a hefty sum of profit I can get after all. Still, it was better if you have had sold it when Bitcoin was sitting at 19,000$. Just hodl what would be left behind after selling half or more than half of what you got.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Elixir to easy reach 2000$? (now 0.7$) on: February 05, 2018, 02:00:58 PM
Let's take just small little 5% (!) of p2p global industry from 2024. It makes it market cap of elixir almost $45b dollars. Time to divide it by estimated supply in 2024, for example about 90 m.
IT MAKES PRICE BY 1 ELIX = 500$!!!
What when we take 10%? 1000$. 20% will drive it up to 2000$!!! price.

The future is there, p2p lending and ELIXIR.

Tell me what you can find wrong in my logic if anyone like this finds out, let's discuss this.
Although I agree with you saying that ELIXIR is one good and profitable coin, I think your speculation itself is too exaggerated. How will it have a price of 2000$ merely by basing on marketcap alone? I guess it can reach the speculated price if p2p lending in crypto becomes more used by that time. What I mean by more is 10X the user base crypto lending got now assuming they will really go for ELIXIR after all 2024 is a long time. Before that year comes to pass, there might be another coin that is better than it.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neblio or Stratis on: February 05, 2018, 12:35:50 PM
Prices are still droping, so it's time to look in which Coins I do want to strengthen my position.
I'm doubting between Neblio and Stratis.
Stratis currently stands at 30% of their ATM, while Neblio is at 16% of its ATH.
Both have their pos and negs, but which of both coins has the brightest future?

I do favor Neblio.
Any ideas?
If you can strengthn your position on both why not divide your planned investment to both? That way you can maximize your portfolio on both coins but if you only want to choose one, If I were you I would go for Neblio since it is the one with the lesser amount in my portfolio and I consider both Neblio and Stratis coins with equal potential for growth that's why I will go for Neblio. I too am also in favor of Neblio.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OMNI (OMNI) - to the moon? on: February 05, 2018, 11:29:33 AM
Omni its just an old pump and dump coin. I see the history repeating here
I looked up on Omni and just like you said, it really is a pump and dump coin. For those who are still planning to buy Omni, consider yourself warned since it looks to me that someone is manipulating it's price from the shadows. For this reason I think Omni will not go to the moon but if it will, omni will only sit there for a short time and it will dump again afterwards.
