I guess you could make the time wasted argument, but thats lolworthy.

Time isn't lolworthy, in the end it is the most valuable thing.

people somehow requested it at some point.

A donation may not be free, but I think that is the closest thing to free.

Giving a gift to someone without them asking, that is free in a general sense.

I'm not going to get into the variations and depth that people can go, but yeah.

P.S. While waiting for queries/downloads to finish, or while waiting in lines i often go to the free sites also. And I enjoy giving as well, however I prefer to be able to measure the effect my Giving has and maximize the value of what it is I can give.

Peace!

I think that people who argue over that idea as lolworthy. Time is obviously the most precious thing we have, and it's ironic that it doesn't really exist Tongue

Giving is always invoking "losing", in a General Sense, if it be someone else's money/possessions/...time.

I really enjoy the idea of my site. It allows people to gain, while also giving, it is ideal. I won't go into the length or depth of this, but...yeah.

P.S. Eragon was a terrible movie.

Piiiisssseee!

I only use bitcoins for the free money it gives. Gambling is just dumb, and this website doesn't pay enough. I can make more money selling electronics in Africa.

nothing is free...

I have given away around 0.5 BTC to newbies for free...unless you consider answering trivia or entering into a raffle nullifying "free"

And many of the sites I link to give away small amts of btc for free.

I guess you could make the time wasted argument, but thats lolworthy. I do agree sort of I suppose; I am paying for most everything in the end. To the newbies its free though Smiley and really spreading the fun and enjoyment of bitcoin to others is payment in itself ^.^

505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much mh/s do you need to efficiently solo mine? on: March 09, 2013, 08:06:57 PM
Hi much mhash/s do you need to solo mine to get bitcoins efficiently?

Something like 36, unless that includes me. Then it's 37.

"I'm 37?!"

Etc, etc.

*edit*
But for realz you'd more than likely have to pull a Jalapeno out of your gpu to have solo efficiency.

*edit*
Srry,
Erm...how many are you using? And if you want you could post this on Rugatu, then post the link on the Rugatu thread along with your address for a payment of BTC0.01 ^.^

See I'm helping

Also, I run the site getfreebitcoin.com if you want a place that lists a bunch of sites to get free coinage. I do have clickads, but the money all goes back into the site. Most of the BTC made from your link clicking actually goes into the raffle for 0.01BTC that I do there for teh n00bs. Enjoy!

Will anyone like to try and answer the original question? All I want to do is just run a miner completely unnoticed so the PC I'm running it on will not have it up as a window or on the task bar. If anyone knows how to do this that would be great.

I think the answer may lie in the googling of the problem "How to hide applications in Windows" more so than on this board. Sorry, just my buck-o-five.

battmann it does say 0.00 BTC but... you mean to say there are some wallets/wallet setting which display only in 1 whole bitcoin denominations only?

Yes, absolutely. Only to the hundreth of a bitcent. I had the same confusion using Instawallet on my droid; I was all like "waaa?" then I figured it out and abandon the stupid app.

Just check your address here: http://abe.bitcoinstats.org

You don't want to mine with a family members conventional computer bro trust me. It will do nothing but fry their shite.

Unless they all have gaming computers with great cards, but I would guess that you are actually CPU mining...right?

518  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: instawallet has fallen new owner stealing on: March 08, 2013, 11:41:23 PM
I'm sorry for your loss...  but really??  $40k USD in an online wallet?  Recipe for disaster - bitcoin requires the user to have some semblance of common sense

This. ThisX1000

Dude,
You blamed some other company first without doing any real research into your coinange, I literally spent 30 seconds on your other thread a few days ago just following the transactions to a cold storage on Instawallet, now you are blaming Instawallet. More than likely they aren't really involved. lol you are just lashing out at any company that just might be involved. The thing is they also don't know where your coins went.

I think the next step for you is to hire a PI cause I bet you BTC40k that if I look into this any more I could find out what happened. Stop blaming companies that *might* be involved; because you don't really know what is going on, I told you before to not look into my findings to hard. This is because I spent half a minute to come to instalwallets cold storage after my listsless interest came upon your post. Instawallet more than likely has no idea where your coins are, and aren't involved. They might be, but I would say chances are pretty good that they are not. What I am trying to say is look into it more yourself/make your own findings because I sure as heck didn't spend much time on your coin capers case.

*Protip - you got phished. It's what happens when you don't use an offline wallet for 40k you peanut*

Eh, I wanted it to go to a different address, but that works too. I can transfer it over to the raffle addy once I recieve. Also check your PM (unless you are happy with the way I wrote the description already)
