Yes, it's a good opportunity. I try to buy at the dips and right now I regret that I don't have more spare money...

Predicting bitcoin price is dangerous, but I still see long-term trend as bullish. Bitcoin price went to $2900 in June, then dropped to $1900 in July. Then in August it started to rise again and was almost $5000. I see the present fall to $3800 as a correction, similar to that in July (and the price now is two times higher than just two months ago!). The current negative news may be (or may be not, we cannot know) just a deliberate attempt to manipulate the price to allow large players to buy low.

Anyone knows how long the weekly 3% airdrops will last? (weeks, months, years?)
Until November 2nd, this year.

can i still get free coin
Yes, you can. Buy 10 or more BTX and send it to your local wallet. Monday you will get your 3% airdrop. Additionally, if you had some BTC during late April 2017, you are still able to claim 1 BTX for each BTC.

Hello,
My position changed to Member yesterday and I've updated my signature. Please update my data in the signature bounty spreadsheet. Number in the spreadsheet: 69.
Thank you in advance.

Got the coins in the new wallet, thank you!

You just say it to pour salt into my wound or what ? I just try to reason if Cryptopia did this on purpose. Actually, my withdrawal was less than 10 BTX (I was moving to my wallet which already had some coins in it). Maybe they purposely delay only 10 BTX or more withdrawals...

First time value? I remember the time when bitcoin reached parity with the U.S. dollar and it was considered expensive. In 2010 it was less than 1 cent. There is no way bitcoin can fall that low unless something truly extraordinary happens (and it would make all cryptocurrencies essentially useless). Volatility is decreasing and I doubt we'll see an order of magnitude drop in the future, as was in 2011. $3000-3500? Maybe. $1000? Unlikely.

Recently I started to sometimes do the same thing, but not every day. In 2014-2016 I was able to easily forgot about the price for months, but this year things became interesting. I'm a holder and mostly interested in finding an opportunity to buy more at the dips.

I just to say thank you to Cryptopia exchange . I've ordered a withdrawal of 20 btx at 6:43 pm on Sunday, they have sent it to the blockchain at 6:42 am on Monday, 12 hours to make it !!! Thanks to them I've lost this Monday airdrop . It seems I was lucky. I've also ordered a withdrawal from Cryptopia on Sunday, but slightly earlier, and the coins arrived in less than half an hour.

|
so you get one btx if you have one btc in your wallet?
Yes, 1:1 according to the BTC balance you had in late April 2017 in all your BTC addresses (you'll have to claim BTX using each address separately).

|
|
What does a Segregated Witness address looks like?
As far as I know, it starts with '3' instead of '1'.

I keep buying small amounts at the dips, last time was yesterday. The long-time general upward trend seems to continue, so I don't worry about corrections.

Thanks! Placed more than 10 BTX to one address yesterday and in the morning found that I've already got my first 3% airdrop.

Well, bitcoin is a kind of monetary system, so obviously most people interested in it are here for profits (including me). As for bubbles... A lot of other investments, including many new technologies, are market bubbles, but they may grow for a long time. Bitcoin may burst, but before it may reach height compared to which (and even to post-burst) today's price would be low.

Diversification. I've got it for free and combined value of BTC and Bitcoin Cash is consistently higher than the value of BTC alone. Now big swings of price and difficulty damped down and mining of both of them is almost equally profitable. I've expected something like this. Right now having Bitcoin Cash just looks like having 15% more bitcoin.

I don't think so. There are many forms (if you consider bitcoin a form of money, gold and silver bullion is also one of them) and in some countries cash is used almost exclusively and even debit cards are extremely rare. Replacing all these forms is impossible in near future.

Thanks for the airdrop! Got my Bytes in BTC to Bytes distribution. Missed the previous round by only a few days.

Worldwide ban is impossible. I suspect that the governments of some countries are already using bitcoin, but not openly. It is a very good tool for funding something that should not be known to general public.
