i read that you may be only able to use 5 of the rx 500 series gpus in a rig (on any mobo)

I have been investigating this since the russian miner went on youtube and will be hosting a group buy soon
Wow I was under the assumption that this was likely a scam.. I am definitely down for at least a unit in the group buy once there's some type of confirmation it's legit

Hi all, thanks a lot for the tips!
Which mining pool would you recommend to use for zcash? Supernova? Flypool? some other pool?
Kind regards
When I mined zec i used flypool

I read extranonce is new with sgminer v5.. i think the minis and my a900 giant use like v4.9 so they wouldnt have it (unless we can upgrade?) does anyone know if extranonce increases hashrate/shares or anything?
|
|
|
Did you figure this out? and does extranonce help the hashrate or anything?
I read this setting is new with sgminer v5.. i think i saw my baikal miner had like v4.9 or something so may not have the capability unless i can upgrade the sgminer

Which pool are you guys mining MUE at or recommend mining?

I think I would like a scrypt miner but it is hard to not want to wait for the L3 or L3+ because of the higher hash and better efficiency.. seems like they may have higher resale value anyway (how often do people resell their asics anyway compared to gpus?)

Like we said, we fully understand any concern.
We are at this moment not able to update our original website, as we do not have access. That also is true for our email, and other accounts along with our bitcointalk forum account. We do not have any other way of proving.
We are using our EU based services now, as this is the only account we have access to at the moment. Our who-is records do not match up because baikalminer.eu is registered from Sweden.
If you recieve any shady emails, please do not respond to them as we do not have access of our email.
What about https://www.facebook.com/baikalmineryylee ??

Hi, I really appreciate the feedback. Could you please elaborate what I should do with the link? Are these some BIOS parameters that I should edit with a HEX editor or something? copy whatever original strap you want to mod.. like 1500, 1625, or 1750 from your bios and paste it into the link over the strap thats in the link. the output will be the modded strap and should have higher mhs. I did not make the tool

Gigabyte Gaming 580 is running a steady 29-30mh/s, Aorus is absolutely no different, MSI Armor I bitched about before are actually the best cards at 30-31mh/s. Red Devil's arriving tomorrow.........and I'm out of boards.
So far the MSI X170a gaming m5 has been a clusterfuck bitch trying to get to run more than 4 cards, instead of 7. Still looking for a solution :\
1. make sure you have the newest bios for the mobo 2. windows 10 installed in uefi mode (msinfo32 in run and check bios type to confirm) 3. enable above 4gb decoding 4. may have to experiment with peg 0 and peg 1 gen types and the internal graphics adapter mem setting (64 instead of 32 maybe) Hi, today I received a MSI RX 570 ARMOR OC 4GB. It has Hynix memory and I can't get my hashrate over 22 in any way. I'm using 17.4.3 relive driver with pixel patch I've tried editing bios timings - 1:1500 to 1:2000
- 1:1750 to 1:2000
I've also tried overclocking memory clock, but it only has a negative effect to the hashrate. GPU clock is 1268 by default. Any suggestions would be welcome. --edit-- I achieved 27.3 MH/s with timing 2:1500-2:2000 and Memory clock at 2000. At 2100 it got unstable. Any ideas what else to try? If you use the 1625 strap and 0150E2A3186272E16">http://doreymills.ca/cgi-bin/strapmod?555000000000000022CC1C00AD515A3EC0570E142D4A64080049C700030114207A8900A00300000 0150E2A3186272E16to mod it and then try to get above 2000, like 2050 or 2075.. you may get higher hashrate

Could you share your claymore settings for dual mining?
On my 480s I use about -dcri 25 and dcri 20 for my 470s... this is with the new v9.2.. values were about 5 higher with the old version

Do the pcie cables come with one of those? that combo looks awesome.. I've usually just got the evga 1300w

Yes this is my main PC , able to gaming (disabling mining of course) , and mining when not gaming but working. Working is nothing hard for the PC , juste web , files , music .. nothing GPU linked. The 3 points you listed are exactly what I have (as this is a gaming PC, everything is good parts). I changed PSU for a new Evga 850 Platinum but freezes remained. Trying -ethi 1 (25MH/s instead of 29MH/s) while typing, and praying to not be freezed before sending the message If it's freezing while you are working.. try reducing the mem clock while you're working.. and can increase it when its only mining

I am interested in 1 unit.. what is the regular price for 1?
|
|
|
The regular wallet (mist/geth) took up 20gb the last time i tried it and either has to be running all the time or takes hours to update to use (from what i remember)
Any alternatives, especially liteweight, out there besides just storing them on exchanges?

I am hesitant to update because of these lower hashrate reports. I may try on my test rig to see what hashes i get on 9.2 vs 9.1 (I usually use 25 or 27 -dcri) Could someone share their overclock settings for their RX480s? I'm changing memory MHz and it doesn't seem to change speed any. What is the most stable software to use to overclock? Afterburner? AMD Settings? WattTool? Thanks!
My current preference is WattTool. for my 480s and 470s, the mem clocks depends mostly on the mem type.. for samsung I aim for 2100 (some need to be lower to be stable like 2050 it seems.. i use custom strap timings for samsung based on 1750 strap) For hynix/elpida my mem is usually around 1900-2000 (maybe higher on some if i use a higher mem strap than 1500)

dumb question to everyone running custom timings on 6-GPU rigs,
how are you making it easy to manage (for example, when you have to boot up multiple rigs) are you mixing rx480's with hynix and elpida RAM in the same box, and using some tool (claymore commandline arguments, MSI Afterburner auto-overclock on boot) to get each card at the desired RAM frequency?
or are you keeping all elipda / hynix / micron cards together in separate boxes?
or can you hard-code the "GPU State 7" / "RAM State 1" frequencies in Polaris Editor, so each card takes care of itself?
or are you booting up each box, then manually tweaking the GPU/RAM frequencies and voltage with your desired tool (wattman, trixx, msi afterburner) and then just not touching it for months until it has to reboot again ?
Using WattTool o set individual mem clocks for my different gpus (some hynix, elpida, samsung mixed). You can make a .bat file to launch your miner and wattTool and to have wattTool load the profiles

not good results at all. my power color red dragon rx480 8mb is doing 30mhs@70w (gpu-z), sapphire ref-like rx470 is doing 28.8@73w (gpu-z) - ethereum only mode
with no mods and msi afterburner i can do 29mb at 68w gpu-z on a few of my msi rx 480 8gb if I use sapphire trixx I can get -125 mv on a few cards stable. I mix it with msi after burner set clocks at 1150 and 2220 look the new cards are basically the same as the old ones rx 470 = rx 570 rx 480 = rx 580 So what ever you can find at a good price get. 29mb... if you mean mh.. please provide pics.. I don't think that is possible without a bios mod!

depends on what are mining -- if ETH you need 1300w or even 1600w if dual mining XMR (1000w) and ZEC, 1300w is minimum..... 1600w good to have. a 20% buffer on the selected PSU for good safety measure. You make a good point. Also, if the PSU is running 24/7 its not a bad idea to have a proper buffer. In addition, I would recommend a proper custom rom to achieve lowest power consumption / best hash ratio - esp for ETH mining. I'm hoping there will be another groupbuy for Eliovp's pandaminer os.. or if not do you know what he charges for 1 os?
