501  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN][WTS]Crypto Ultimate Collectors Set 0/10 left on: January 15, 2020, 05:46:02 PM
Hey CI, when will you do another set like this for another charity? These were pricey, but for a very worthy cause...maybe this time the ASPCA here in America, or the Elephants. We all like good causes.  Smiley

All of the sets have been sold, and the remaining set's that have not been cracked so far, prolly won't be cracked open, they're all held by collectors in here.... I'm pretty sure.  Box's and packs will be your best bet. Anything rare, will cost you a bundle....but you're not out of the game, just because you showed up late, the right box could score you a massive score. But what they won't tell you is, you could buy 20 box's and not get anything. On the other hand, you could buy a case and hit the BONANZA!  Not 1 wooden card has shown up from the 2018 Topps Allen Ginter box's. Then again, 20 years from now, someone might discover that they had them under their bed in an unbroken case.....still anyone's game  Cheesy

Good Luck!

Well, time will tell the tale...it always does. Until then, it's anyone's guess. You and I can agree to disagree, as I know there are others that will disagree with you. Doesn't really matter.....until the point of sale for each card. That's "definitive", and will definitely tell the tale. I am interested in the Crypto Rookie cards, and ANY 1/1 card will be valuable...regardless of it's size, color, grade, etc.....that's all that matters for those cards, that they are the ONLY one like it, and Serious collectors will seek those cards out to add to their collections. Regardless if you agree with that statement or not. And 1/1 cards are way more pricey than a run of 5 or 25 cards are, historically. Period. * mike-drop

Truth is, we all have our own ideas of what cards will cost more to acquire down the line, and what one's are dud's. Collectors have their own ideas, and no one's going to force a collector into their way of thinking, that's for sure. No matter how many times they try to suggest it.

*I'd like to know when we're going to see Crypto Cards in the Basketball series sets, box's and packs....any news on that front? I'm sure we'd all like to hear about that.
506  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: January 04, 2020, 08:25:42 PM
Nor does it include the 1/1 Topps Vault Cards. Or the extremely valuable 5x7 ERROR rare "unicorn".  If you going to talk about "valuable" Cryptocurrency Rookies, then these cards fall into that category, easily.

1/1 Topps Vault 3-in-1 Card Cryptocurrency (Graded)

1/1 Topps  5 x 7 ERROR Card Cryptocurrency (Only the 5x7 cards came initially/originally in a complete sealed set, the rest were box's and packs. 49 of the "colorized " sets & 10 of the  "Gold" sets.) Graded

1/1 Topps Vault Cryptocurrency  Not sure if the owner of this card had it graded yet or not.

Only 21 people have the sets, no one comes to mind that will let go of theirs....at least in the short term. Good Luck with your Quest.

I got the #9 coin, still waiting for the #10 coin (and the #8). Also got the Times News Paper, Thanks CI  Cheesy! The coins look great Wink  Excited to see what kind of a coin holder you're going to come up with for all of these. Smiley

I agree with Wheelz...definitely over-priced.  Undecided  But hey, that guy is "fishing" for a sucker, and he may just get one...stranger things have been known to happen
511  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: December 31, 2019, 02:05:20 AM
Cheesy The owner of that card figures that he/she better sell it while the gettin's good, and they currently have the only one available.......so far.
I'd bet the rent check that, that's gonna change.
512  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [REFERENCE]10 Year Bitcoin Anniversary Set on: December 31, 2019, 01:59:38 AM
It's a set of 10 coins, not 1
513  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: December 31, 2019, 12:59:37 AM
It's just a gamble. You could take all the 9's that you got, crack them and resubmit them. One of them could come back a 10. Could have been the regular grader was off that day, or there and didn't feel good. Any number of reasons really. I know dealers that do that same thing, every time that they send cards in. It's a crap shoot. There are still plenty of cards out there and there's no way to know if they've been top loaded or not. I'm thinking that we will see more 10's in the x mini in the future. So unless money is no issue for you, I'd hold out. I heard that PSA hired a bunch of new graders to get caught up.....sooooo?Huh

This posting had 2 full sized X hobby cards get sold: $150 each plus tax

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PSA-8-9-10-Topps-2018-Allen-Ginter-Pick-Your-Card-Gem-Pop1-Red-Brooklyn-1-5/264376837812?var=563988169563

And here's a couple Becketts graded X full size cards:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/83-Cryptocurrency-2018-Topps-Allen-Ginter-X-BGS-9-5-PSA-10/264576941729?hash=item3d9a03bea1:g:i7UAAOSwXIheAZLA

Looks like these are being snapped up now, prices on these are going up slowly as well.  Smiley  The more difficult to get 10's in BLACK seem to show consistent rises in price, even if it's a slow ride. Still would rather have a PSA over a Beckett's  Wink

We can't see the serial numbers on the new hologram? What coins have the new holograms? So the set of coins will not all be uniform?  Embarrassed
