501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be possible to use Cryptocurrencies in China? on: November 22, 2019, 02:33:12 PM
Recently, I heard that China banned holding cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency transactions, so does that mean that having cryptocurrency in China would be a criminal offense? Moreover, why create such a ban in the first place?

As far as I know, Cryptocurrencies are not totally banned in China but rather they only restrict the exchange that is related to crypto. Most of Bitcoin mining held in China hence this is the evidence that Cryptocurrencies are not banned in the said county. Besides, even if they did their people cannot be stopped from using because there are some ways such as VPN in order for them to access this type of currency. However, there are some places where this cryptocurrency is banned perhaps because they see it as a threat to the current monetary system and linked to illegal activities like drug trafficking and more.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Government Could Shutdown Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2019, 12:31:27 PM
I read this article online that the government could stop the Bitcoin? Easily using a simple trick.
Making the bitcoin market price staying in under a 1000$ for a long time and wait for the people to lose interest in it.

For me, this is easier said than done, making the bitcoin market price lower than 1000$ would encourage investors to invest in bitcoin that will inevitably affect the market price.

What is your opinion about this? Could the government do this?

https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-could-be-stopped-by-governments-pretty-simply/
I think the government couldn't do that for the simple reason simply because they should've done it a long time ago if they could but looking to what Bitcoin's price it turns out to the price that we never imagined. The government can do something about the market like they can restrain their people upon using but this can never be stopped since Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are anonymous, in other words, it cannot be tracked down.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 21, 2019, 06:03:47 PM
Why are we going to be a fool on the word HOLD? We are the ones who will decide if we will gonna hold our coins or not. We can sell and we can buy us anytime we want. Why are we going to hold if the market is in an uptrend? Of course, we choose to sell it and make a profit right? So it also depends on the market.
I agree with that phenomena because we hold only when we see the market and we look at the past of the bitcoin market. We know that the position of crypto is very better and is going to get more stronger that is why we are holding and waiting for a great bullrun.
I think almost everyone sells when the market is trending or going up and buys it when the market goes down.
and if they still hold it back when the market goes up it's like wasting an opportunity and in the end will regret when the market goes back down.
Most of the folks in this industry do the same thing simply because that is fundamentals of trading which is sell high and buy low. Hold only comes when the market has been long bear trend. If bull market comes hold it is better option to make a transaction.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to the Ceo of coinbase 1 BTC can actually change your life. on: November 21, 2019, 04:49:49 PM
1 Bitcoin is really now expensive compared before hence this will really a huge impact in someones who holding this amount. Besides, if you keep holding this for a long time this could possibly make you millionaire and use to purchase a real estate. Bitcoin is now half a million in our country that is why this will be a real deal.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any countries that accept cryptos as an actual method of payment? on: November 21, 2019, 01:30:26 PM
I heard that in Zimbabwe people use other currencies and cryptocurrencies to trade as their current monetary system has failed them. Do other countries also accept cryptocurrency as their main currency apart from Zimbabwe?

I think there's no such country will use Cryptocurrency as their main currency probably they will use it as an alternative but they won't use crypto as main currency because of stability issue. Zimbabwe use their own Zimbabwean dollar after of hyperinflation controversy that same thing happened on Venenzuela. There are some countries have officially used Cryptocurrencies upon their mode of payment like Japan but I haven't heard any new of using crypto as main currency.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users on: November 20, 2019, 04:42:02 PM
That worthless scumbag makes Bitcoin untrustworthy to the general public. In my country, Many people know bitcoin as scam because many investment in facebook are using bitcoin as mode of payment.
Many innocent people fall for that and most of them are those people leaving in the province and not fully aware on the risk of ponzi investment. Until now, Many still think bitcoin is scam and
they are afraid to buy. This scumbags legacy is really hard to erased.  Undecided
The use of Bitcoin in a harmful scheme such as Ponzi is inevitably to happen due this currency anonymity so it cannot be tracked down easily. In our country as well when some folks heard Bitcoin they have negative annotation regards with this technology because of our local media. Moreover, most of the newcomers in this industry fall out in this kind of scheme that is why we should notify them regards with these activities so that we could make a slight difference about Bitcoin's image.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 20, 2019, 04:22:04 PM
We see a lot of these Banks that wants to sabotage Bitcoin and Crypto currencies by closing people's Bank accounts. When this happened in

countries like Australia, some people closed their Bank accounts in support of these people and they moved their business to other Banks that

supported Crypto currencies. They also took this to court and the court decided that this was anti-competitive behavior and they were forced to

stop that. So, the question is simple : Would you close your Bank accounts, when your Bank turn against Crypto?

Do we need new Banks that would go up against these large Banks to facilitate the conversion of Fiat to Crypto currencies? I think Banks doing this

will quickly change their policies, once millions of people start moving their accounts to Banks that supports Crypto currencies.

We do not need Banks, because P2P conversion is possible without Banks, but it just makes things so much easier for people dealing with exchanges.

What do you say? Please participate in the Poll.  Tongue
Probably no, perhaps I would consider this issue if Crypto is fully accepted in our constitution. However, more likely I would switch to other banks that would support the use of Crypto. Moreover, if Crypto is acceptable in a particular country Banks would automatically accept the use of crypto and never turn against it since this will be an issue for their clients.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Pay for Odd Jobs With Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2019, 03:51:13 PM
An unemployed dude comes to your house to ask for off jobs, say to throw away your thrash and mow the lawn. You had no cash but he owns a bitcoin wallet and asks to be paid in bitcoins. Would you pay in bitcoin?
Probably not because Bitcoin is now expensive unlike before. Probably I'll use my altcoins to pay him, I am pretty sure that he has a wallet for altcoins since he knew about Bitcoin then perhaps he had knowledge towards other cryptocurrencies. Besides, I consider Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as an asset, not a regular currency due to the fact that they are not stable.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for a recession... Gold or Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2019, 03:18:14 PM
It's always good decision to diversify your funds and same applies for possible recession.
To be ensured as much as possible I would split funds into Bitcoin, gold but fiat too. Stable currencies will not collapse just like that and over night so it's good to cover all combinations and to stay flexible enough to switch if necessary.
It is the best option I could only think of. I don't know if this is another FUD but it is better to be sure than sorry am I right? Diversify our funds in different currencies or assets would lessen the chance or avoid losing all of our bankrolls. However, it is impossible for stable currencies like fiat to subside that quickly besides, the government wouldn't let that happen.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've come full circle, BTC is the only worthwhile cryptocurrency on: November 20, 2019, 02:43:25 PM
It is true that bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that can be relied upon for now, given the condition of the altcoins market
not getting better. Investors are tired of investing in altcoins, so prefer bitcoin as a safe way to earn profit. So from that
until now it is clear why bitcoin always dominates the market, because it is the most profitable compared with altcoins.
Plus in 2019 there are many ICO projects that are scam, adding to investors' confidence to save their money only in bitcoin.
But when it comes to the future, for top altcoins like ETH, LTC, BNB, XRP and XLM there is still hope.
Indeed, Bitcoin is really profitable compared to other cryptocurrencies but there are still some altcoins that can give a profit as what Bitcoin can give such as ETH, XRP, and more. Based on the coins that you have mentioned they are more likely placed in top-ranked coins which are reasonable enough to put your investment. Always remember that go for coins that have high volume and have the highest liquidity in the market to lessen the risk of getting lost.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: November 19, 2019, 05:31:18 PM
yes the fact is like that, in this crypto industry there is no full guarantee for you. Even in traditional investment, nothing guarantees you profit. There will be no certainty in future income, and if a project claims their tokens will become more and more expensive over time, it is very likely that they are lying. Of course, that does not mean that they are wrong, however, ensuring that everyone in the inevitable benefit is not responsible, to say the least. If you see a project that claims that your profits will grow tenfold in just six months, it's far more likely to be a good old Ponzi scheme than it really is, as seen in BitConnect.
So, no matter how this promise actually looks, if you see that the project offers you sky-high profits for literally no effort, it probably means that they want to make that profit out of you.
Well, market is all about taking the risk in order to obtain profit but before take the risk make sure that we've made some technical analysis first just to lessen it. In this type of industry you shouldn't expect of getting a profit, back in the the day where ICOs are hypes, some of the projects I've used to participate aren't that good, yeah they offer a great prizes but as the campaign is finished I have encountered some issue.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless altcoins must remove from the whole crypto market on: November 19, 2019, 04:03:41 PM
I don't think there is a way that we can use to remove them from market. They will only be there just that their trading will continue to reduce. Don't forget that some invested in these shit coins and they also have the right to have them in the market even if they are worthless.
You are right. We cannot wipe out failures or scams from the market. Everyone has the right to come up with a project and launch it in digital coin market. The only way to demotivate useless stuff is by not getting involved into them. Once investors will stop paying attention to them, a decrease can be seen certainly. In my opinion, old coins should be top priority of every investor.
You have a point, we cannot fully exterminate the existence of shitcoins. Almost of coin in the market are shitcoin and exchanges cannot remove this coins because some of them are paid enough to be listed. The only way I can think of is that we should not support or discourage the use of this coins so that the volume could drop to 0 and totally get remove out from exchanges. Creation of shitcoins is inevitable due to the fact that there some projects failed to meet their goal.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what are the best altcoin which gives 2x profit in 1year on: November 19, 2019, 01:49:40 PM
please suggest me some best altcoins that can easily give 2x profit if I hold them 1-year.
Honestly, it is hard to tell what tokens will give 2x profit because it still depends on the market as a matter of fact even the Bitcoin itself is not surely will give a 2x profit. If we were in bear market there's a less chance that it will be 2x profit for us. Every promising coin can give an enough profit if market is in good shape. Choose the coin that is placed in top 10 since it has high volatility rate and most liquid in the market.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2020 on: November 18, 2019, 05:04:49 PM
The year 2019 is reaching its brink. 2019 was an average year for the crypto market. The market capitalization took a drastic change and the prices of most of the cryptocurrencies crashed. However, the crypto market is sort of leaning towards the green region in the last quarter of 2019.

Now, you might be pondering which cryptocurrencies are considered as a “Good Investment” in the upcoming 2020.
In my view Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple (XRP), Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash are the top crypto in 2020.

What's your take on this?
The best to place your investment is in top ranked coins indeed. These top ranked coins has good liquidity and volume hence, the probability of getting a high return is high compared to some random altcoins. I'm not saying that alts are not profitable there are still some coins that is worth to place an investment however, it is tough to find them and you need to conduct some research to determine who will give a high return as top ranked coins can give.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have a $ 500 fund you want to make a profit on: November 18, 2019, 04:37:13 PM
I have $ 500 or more, is that enough to invest or trade daily ??  Do I need to buy cheap coins or expensive coins?  I want your opinion for me as a newbie.

$500 amount is enough to earn profit via investment and trading. You could choose a coins where to invest in top ranked coins such as Bitcoin, ETH, XRP, BNB and more. However, if you as a newbie I would recommend to learn first how the market works, it is too risky to invest in a things where you have no knowledge. High volumed coins is the best to place your money so that there's a high chance for it to get a high return.
516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do people decide to create Cryptocurrencies? on: November 18, 2019, 04:13:27 PM
Since there are hundreds or even thousands of Cryptocurrencies out there around the world, I am rather interested in what are the processes of creating a new cryptocurrency. I’m interested in things like how do people decide when to make new cryptocurrencies, what are the logistics in making the new coins and how do they promote their new coins to the public or certain groups of people in order to facilitate its usage.

I think some people or team tend to create new coins to provide a financial aid for their their projects. I learned that from participating in ICOs back in the day. They promote their coins through this forum, they hire bounty hunters to desseminate the news and the existence of their project. They also use some social media platform like twitter and Facebook for promoting.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Things You like To learn on: November 17, 2019, 04:18:59 PM
For all of you who follow various content creators to Crypto?

what are 3 elements or pieces of information you like to see?

That the content creators may be missing out?

What would you like to see?

What would make you generate interest towards a specific content creator?

Personally, what I have been looking for content creator are they should have a good flow of disseminating information, a unique way of delivering info, clear narration and good animation matters as well. What I've been looking for as well is the capability of a content creator to provide the latest news that is related to crypto. What I want or him/her to cover is the do's and don't's in industry, basically a guide for newbies since community getting bigger in order for them to put away from some harmful scheme like phishing, scam and more.
518  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have You Paid Tax On Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 03:36:55 PM
What is your country's policy on taxation on cryptocurrency? Secondly, have you used Bitcoin ATM before? I heard about Bitcoin ATM when they installed them at the Melbourne airport. Please share your experience on BTC ATM and taxation. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/irs-looking-at-tax-issues-linked-with-bitcoin/
Fortunately, our government has no action yet regarding this issue so I can freely make a transaction without charging a tax on it. Bitcoin is not legal neither illegal in our place that is why no taxation issued here, however, we have no Bitcoin ATM so you should convert it into fiat online just to spend this one. I'd love to have Bitcoin ATM and being accepted in a physical store as well because this would be convenient for me though.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: November 17, 2019, 02:56:11 PM
I myself can say you also use bitcoin every day, but use it by trading using bitcoin.
Because in my own country still has not legalized the use of legal bitcoin as a transaction tool that can be used.
Therefore my way to participate in using bitcoin is by trading in bitcoin trading and also I use bitcoin as payment when I'm gambling
Many stores are not still aware that they can accept crypto in buying their items, in my country we can buy in stores but I prefer to not use it in buying, but there were times I used it in paying bills, as much as possible I aim to hold it until the supply reach that can create hype in demand.
There are only a few stores in my country that accept Bitcoin as a payment hence, just to use this currency I need to convert it first in our local currency to spend it. Even so, just like you, I try not to spend my Bitcoin as much as possible, perhaps I would consider spending if the bull market comes. Spending Bitcoin to buy what you desire is not bad at all because sometimes you need to treat yourself. As a matter of fact, you earn Bitcoin because you want to achieve something, you want to obtain something so don't hesitate to spend your earnings and enjoy it.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trade Bitcoin - AVOID "Get Rich Quick" Shit Coin Pump and Dump on: November 17, 2019, 01:29:55 PM
That's the thing. The only people gaining are the people that initiated the pumps. They're smart. As soon the shit coin goes up buy 10-20% they sell to people buying after the 10-20% up. Anyone who buys after that is stuck with those coins because no one is going to buy a shit coin that is up that much. They end up selling at a huge lost (sometimes 70-90% lost). It's a scam that works well for people who organize pump and dumps.

The FOMOs are trying to get rich overnight, but ended up loosing everything. I wish people get it that only trading / investing in Bitcoin will bring you profit. Only BTC's price fluctuate to the point where you can make nice profit trading with even $500. It's going to take a while to build up the profit, but it's almost always a sure thing.
That is why we should be aware of choosing a coin where to invest. I highly recommend investing in top-ranked coins such as Bitcoin, Eth, and XRP which will give an assurance of having a good amount of return. I admit that some coins are really profitable but it is tough to determine which among them who will give a high return, to find them you need to conduct intensive research to determine which is worth and which is not.
