5001  Other / Meta / Re: Should mods deal with the 1 line posters just here to build their counts. on: June 12, 2020, 09:48:29 AM
The user account seems to be deleted so I can't judge the posts, anyway not all one liners are spam, sometimes  it's better to keep it short, you don't have put extra words just so other members don't feel it is spam.

If you feel like it's spam, then ofc report it. There is no punishment for wrong reports.
5002  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Notification Feature in the forum on: June 12, 2020, 09:42:41 AM
Try this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5178331.0

you will receive browser notification whenever someone quotes/mentions you. Some browsers have compatibility problems tho.

5003  Other / Meta / Re: What rewards does the one who Merits someone for quality post gets in return? on: June 12, 2020, 09:36:47 AM
By rewarding good authors you motivate them to post more 'good', and it helps with overall forum quality. That's good thing I guess.

I like the fact that we can also cash in our GOLD stable coins for real gold.

You can't.

I am quite surprised how long this bounty has been going, I remember having second thoughts when I saw it first time. Anyway, Good work BM and gold team!

I'm not sure how to view the result of the game, after game ended, emperor wins, that's it!?
5007  Other / Meta / Re: Automated Merits for 100 Activities /Topics on: June 08, 2020, 04:47:55 AM
Nope, then it will be just like before merit implementation. It won't represent quality anymore, just how much time you have been active on forum.

Only hiccup is, it lacks players.

I agree but more players are coming on a daily basis. Let people know you want to play in the chat box to help get the games started!

Even in chat there are two same players talking and last message was about 12 hrs ago when I logged in.
5010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] How to Create a Strong/Secure Password on: June 07, 2020, 05:31:35 AM
I use lastpass (online) and password safe (offline encrypted backups). Do not ever save your master password online/offline, it should only be known to your brain. Yes, Take effort to make one complex password and remember it for the sake of security.

You should write down and store it in a safe place ASAP. Security can backfire and cause you more trouble.

I have them stored in by brain, and have them remembered for like 3 years or so. Unless I get alzheimers I'm fine lmao
If you use a password manager, you should change a master password and then all other passwords every year.

Bruh, might be ok for master password, but huge no for every password I would literally go mad.
5011  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: ♠ Casineos.com $250 in BTC Giveaway! (Ends June 2) on: June 06, 2020, 03:20:08 AM
If you really want users to try your service then better not ask for deposit of that 0.002btc. give it away and let the users to try your service with that money.

You are a brand new account and no one is going to trust you upfront.

Cheers

They listened to you, their new promotion don't have such requirement  Grin

5013  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake stellar airdrop+malware promoting via email with using name of bittrex on: June 05, 2020, 03:34:51 AM
At least here you can figure these were spam/scam from broken English, sentences and email domain used, I had few where they were done so well that you couldn't tell these were scams, I fall for it and finally when it asked for private keys my bulbs lighten up.

5015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 03, 2020, 09:58:59 AM
Instant exchanges usually assign an ID to every transaction.
The new link opens after clicking on "exchange" button can be something like gold.storage/en/market?id=xxxxx.
If this is implemented, the transaction can be easily found even if no email address is used. If there's such link for every transaction and the user closes the tab mistakenly, the link to the transaction can be found in the browser history without any trouble.

I just tried and link remains as, "https://gold.storage/en/market".

Edit: sorry, I misunderstood your comment
5016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 03, 2020, 02:40:10 AM
To add in above conversation, If user closes the tab/browser mistakenly then gold website loses the track of transaction, so always use email to get the link to the transaction. Having it will save time for both parties.
5017  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🔊✅ $50 FREE PLAY ✅ NO Deposit | NO Strings Attached | 🔥#1 SPORTSBOOK & CASINO on: June 02, 2020, 11:43:17 AM
Where is register option? And for bonus 2 what's minimum deposit amount? If it's $1, can I deposit $1 and get first no deposit bonus as well?
5018  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This forum is much more than just signature campaigns... on: June 02, 2020, 11:16:04 AM
Thanks for sharing op, if you don't mind me asking, where do you find those no deposit bonus offers?

Edit: forget it, got it from your post history. I didn't even know games and rounds existed lmao

... and I'm on a signature campaign, the case is the same for majority of the quality and constructive posters on this forum who all wear signatures. So you're wrong, signature campaigns do not compromise quality, it's just a way of receiving a bonus for posting, and the quality posters would do so(post on the forum)with or without it.

I somehow disagree with this. Though I am also aren't been on signature campaigns for a long time, I've seen that some users that also has no participation in campaigns aren't active recently. I don't know what really happened but as what the OP had been realized, this quarantine is a great chance to be back on posting and interacting with quality here in the forum. And I think that bonuses isn't what would make a quality poster stay on his run. It is also about his passion in learning more and fulfilling doubts in his intelligent mind.

Here's my opinion. Without a signature campaign, will I be active in the forum? Probably, but I'm not going to lie— I won't be as active as I am right now without a signature campaign. Simply due to the fact that while I will still hang around here, I'd unfortunately need to exert more effort into doing other things that could help me pay my bills. It's the same reason why while a lot of people love sports, they wouldn't do it all day as they also need to work to survive.

Signature campaigns in my opinion are perfect for people like me who really genuinely loves interactive on online forums, and are genuinely interested in Bitcoin. Doing what you love but at the same time being paid some money for it— the perfect combination.

Just my 2 satoshis.

You are one the best quality posters of the forum. Your every interaction comes of as genuine.
5019  Other / Off-topic / Re: [PSA] A NEW KIND OF PHISHING (HOSTJACKING) on: June 02, 2020, 11:13:31 AM
Just to add, this also applies to android, the host file can be changed if you have root access. Another reason, why you shouldn't root your device.
5020  Local / India / Re: ZebPay is back? on: June 01, 2020, 03:38:15 AM
very pathetic support of zebpay exchange. I don't use that exchange which moves out when we as an Indian crypto community facing a tough time And when the supreme court gives judgment in favor of crypto they are back.
and they looted people by there High fee structure

You had heard that Zebpay was one of the pioneers in India couple of years back when they were functioning and was also producing the god service to the customs. Not sure after that since they closed their India operations and now they seems to be back. All would like them to be back with the same where they had left in terms of services and platform to be used for Indians.

It was indeed a pioneer but at that time there weren't much competitors, right now there are better alternatives available and I doubt zebpay can reach the heights it once was.
