5003  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you want to help the forum? on: April 12, 2019, 12:52:05 PM
For me, deleting an old post is not necessary because that is a sink with a new post. IF you are a newbie I may advise you to stay at local section while you are not in the good poster and if you feel you didn't help the entire forum.

There's a simple way if you really want help the forum while you are a newbie or feeling newbie. "Report to moderator" scroll down lower right side, in that way it is very easy to spot a spammer by mods if you have found a spammy posts/replies.
5004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: April 12, 2019, 10:29:13 AM
... but actually the Central bank of the Philippines have a standing memorandum circular about Bitcoin and other Crytocurrencies to be careful and using it and does not endorse use such Virtual Currency and such memorandum circular turns off potential investors or users.

I don't see how it's going be a thing to be worried. It's usual that BSP will issued a memorandum. They already issued some notices to the public about the used of crypto even prior to the so-called "Crypto's Big Year" last 2017. They didn't prohibited using it but instead gave some knowledge to the public about the risks of putting money on crypto.
I remember this here "Philippines’ Bangko Sentral Recognizes Bitcoin as Payment System" and that has happened way back on February 8, 2017. Luckily, that was the great step made by the government here and now it continues growing people who adopted on Bitcoin in the Philippines and I hope other countries too across the whole world. Through blockchain technology on that bitcoin, now it has some Banks here starting to collaborate in Bitcoin and other altcoins on how it works in general.
5005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. Why is Bitcoin hard to define? on: April 12, 2019, 10:05:27 AM
I have been related scenario of what has OP said, but this is what I told to my friend that "digital money which can use peer to peer transactions on the internet and we can also make a profit in buying low and sell high price". In that way of explaining the might get tempted if they are interested. Majority of them who asked was now a crypto enthusiast and doing trading as well. There are too many ways you to answer them and depends upon on how you approach and must explain to them the possible risk to avoid for you to blame if they get failed on investing, but so far none of them.
5006  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Wait times for BitCoin buying on: April 12, 2019, 07:11:27 AM
When buying bitcoin in Coinbase usually it could process in a typically take 3-5 successive business days means Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, maybe OP bought bitcoin in a weekend or it is having holidays so it takes a longer time of processing procedure. Because banks also operate transactions only on business days. However, Coinbase is only focused on selling transactions to have to be quicked services because that was easy for them and no need for Bank account transactions not like when you are purchasing bitcoin.

I found the reference here from Coinbase support please read: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1392022-why-does-a-buy-take-so-long-
5007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it forbidden to motivate others to buy Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2019, 06:24:40 AM
No, that is not forbidden, you have the right to motivate others and it's up to you if someday they will come back and blame you after they have a ton of losses in investing but failed. But if I were you, just focus what you have done in the crypto market and prove to them that crypto investment has a possible huge of income if you know how to manage with it.
I think you should have to conduct seminars and orientations if you want to motivate people before they stepping in on the crypto investment.

Re: Saving your private key in your email is a lethal move
Agree, its like actually saving it on someone else computer. You never know how many people have access to this data, its huge risk of your private key beign compromised.
Security need to be adjusted to person need's. Less money demands less security, more money demands more security.
You are right when it comes more money demands it required more security needs. I do usually save my private key or seed phrase in the memory card from mobile, after saving my private key I'll remove it and put into my closet. But one thing that comes up in my mind, how about body implant like a microchip implant where your private key stored, I am sure it is secure but I don't know if safe for human.

Google credit

Do you think this is possible or the same on the lethal move?

5011  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PREDICTION PRICE OF BTC in Q2-[GAME PRIZE] on: April 10, 2019, 05:28:41 AM

Tanong ko lang, dapat ba exact or close enough? Haha. No idea ako sa ganito eh, pati dun sa wall observer, hindi ko magets. May poll and I don't know what happens behind the scenes.

IMO, ang mananalong prediction is yung pinakamalapit sa presyo bago matapos ang June.
Exactly, yung may pinakamalapit na range price sa prediction will be the lucky winner and receive the amount of pool prize.

Example, on June 01, 00:00 CET the price of bitcoin is on $8000 then the last high price prediction entry is $7007 automatically that user will be the lucky winner. As I have said, we should have a lucky winner.

We're just running out of time, 20 days more to go and then I will close this thread and open again 7 days before June 01 and I will announce it here kung sino yung lucky winner.

Good luck guys, the list of participants is still open.
5012  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 💰💰💰💰 PH Senatorial Election Betting thread(Official) 💰💰💰💰 on: April 10, 2019, 03:28:50 AM
In exact order, po ba yung 2 points score?

I saw that there is no Bitcoin address as of now where I going to send my fund as my entry, waiting for that update OP.
Nice one, more entries more chances of winning.
5013  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: GABAY UPANG MAIWASAN ANG RED TAG MULA SA PAG-PROMOTE NG KILALANG SCAM(FILIPINO) on: April 09, 2019, 09:39:30 AM
Speaking as a DT member myself hindi naman ganun kabilis magbigay ng negative feedback sa mga kalahok ng participants. As far as I see it they themselves have been victimized or unknowing participants of a scam.
Napaka gandang payo kabayan, I never thought that you are a Filipino. I think there's a lot of Filipino's here na DT member din.

Bump!

Kabayan, recently I have seen many accounts outside caught their shady activities scam project and got tagged, siguro hindi nila alam ang kanilang ginagawa or talagang nagbubulagbulagan lang sila dahil sa earning the profit. Well, sa mga hindi pa naka basa nito try to have a look and tell me which part you didn't understand I will try to explain you.

5017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: April 08, 2019, 09:18:19 AM
We have different perception in promoting bitcoin to our society or even our friend and family. I know it will contribute to tempt people and have mass adoption if you have shared good stuff regarding bitcoin matter. From the blog in youtube and some good articles stating Bitcoin, I share that on my social media account like facebook and twitter. I know in that way I can contribute to spreading the goodness of bitcoin if they adopt this and of course it will result in mass adoption.
5018  Other / Meta / Re: Change Name on: April 08, 2019, 08:44:04 AM
As a normal member here we can't change our name chosen but if you are staff here you can do that.
As far as I know, a staff member here who change their name is our mode in local. Rickbig to Mr. Big
I think only Global Moderator can do that.

Hi, how can I change the name of my account?
So what your purpose in changing username?
And what happens when people change their name here to try hide their 'crimes' or wrongdoing (either here or elsewhere)?

5019  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Worst case if I submit my passport to an exchange? on: April 08, 2019, 07:34:58 AM

Hotels store your data, like your passport, that's the law in most countries, each country has its own rules. Taken a copy of passport or other ID cards, makes perfect sense, as authorities want to know who stays in the hotels and if something is broken in the room, or you didn't pay your bill, or in the event, something happens to you, they can find out who you are. Some hotels also make a paper copy of your credit card, on top of the deposit they charge on your card
Wait, but the crypto market exchanges aren't the same when you are renting hotels, submitting personal data like passport was a very risky in our own especially showing our passport as a requirement on passing KYC. They can possibly use our passport details to travel anywhere who wanted to use or it can be sold on the dark web and it might be using your identity to some criminals to migrate in other countries.

Just like on Gate.io exchange, I have an account there but I can't withdraw my fund. Before they did not require KYC, but now they implemented on it and the only required you to passed KYC is submitting your passport which is contradicting to my part. I prefer to let die my small amount on that exchange.
5020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving your private key in your email is a lethal move on: April 08, 2019, 06:55:55 AM
no, it is saying that there are malwares that can hide on your USB disk and be transferred to your cold storage alongside the raw unsigned tx which you are transferring to be signed and they can steal your keys while you are transferring the USB disk back to the online computer to broadcast the signed tx.

a simple solution which 100% solves this is usage of QR codes with a camera instead of USB disk.
You can hide your USB through like this I'm sure it is impossible to hack or steal from scammers or even one of your family member. Cheesy

Anyone who wants to try this just sent me a PM. Grin

There's a lot way of keeping your private, that is our responsibility to keep them safe. But in a small amount, I think that is not necessary to keep in USB, just a piece of paper would be fine and put into your personal pocket wallet.
