5001  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu demands ‘up to $45 bn’ in US military aid on: May 30, 2015, 03:28:43 AM
the military–industrial complex is strong in this one.

i wonder how many of theses "aid" contracts exist and how much money overall goes back to the us industries and the entities profiting from it?

it seems the imf and worldbank led by the us have similiar approaches of aiding third world countries.

Quote from: wikipedia
According to SIPRI, total world spending on military expenses in 2009 was $1.531 trillion US dollars. 46.5% of this total, roughly $712 billion US dollars, was spent by the United States.[23] The privatization of the production and invention of military technology also leads to a complicated relationship with significant research and development of many technologies.

The military budget of the United States for the 2009 fiscal year was $515.4 billion. Adding emergency discretionary spending and supplemental spending brings the sum to $651.2 billion.[24] This does not include many military-related items that are outside of the Defense Department budget. Overall the United States government is spending about $1 trillion annually on defense-related purposes.[25]

The defense industry tends to contribute heavily to incumbent members of Congress.[26]

In a 2012 news story, Salon reported, "Despite a decline in global arms sales in 2010 due to recessionary pressures, the U.S. increased its market share, accounting for a whopping 53 percent of the trade that year. Last year saw the U.S. on pace to deliver more than $46 billion in foreign arms sales."[27]

I bought a lot of NxT at 8000+ when Bitcoin was at 1000$
And it dropped to 3000 with a BTC at 230$ and now a little rise to 6000 wow amazing! Nxt the top of the top

Amazing trader Shocked Sad

Im not trader
There is nothing to be clever when the price dropped to 3000

My comment was regarding buying altcoins when btc was 1000+ $  Wink

5004  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War is brewing in the south sea... on: May 28, 2015, 07:32:25 PM
there will be a lot of proxy wars for sure.
we are right now at the beginning of a new cold war and the south sea has actually a lot of oil.

there is much discussion about that for quite a while now.
parties directly involved are several asean states, japan, korea, china and indirectly of course the us.

for the us oil is not the main matter here - it is about to build a counter force to the rising china, just geo-political stuff.
5005  Other / Politics & Society / Re: nuke went off in Yemen on: May 26, 2015, 07:26:36 PM
i think you guys should understand that the theories are about a mini nuke or neutron bomb as far as i understand.
both of them exist and they have a much smaller explosive power then for example the "fat man" and the "little boy"/ regular nukes.

example for mini nukes:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crockett_%28nuclear_device%29 build 1956

*edit ha even found a nice video from the DoD about it: https://youtu.be/eiM-RzPHyGs

maximum explosive power ~1 kt tnt.

neutron bombs have also a maximum explosive power ~1 kt tnt.

in relation "fat man" and "little boy" had an explosive power of 21 kt tnt or respectively 12,5 kt tnt

Just to make sure because im intending to buy a gta 5 key, but can you proof that you are wakka? Signing from an earlier used btc adress or something?
Because forum was hacked and accounts have been compromised. :/

Dividenden Ausschüttung 75 BTC on: May 25, 2015, 06:06:35 PM

Stay tuned guys, there will be a new official VeriCoin bitcointalk thread this week run by the community.

Effects and Vericoin Team congrats on the hard work! Really impressed with the White Paper....great read!

Can I make one suggestion for this new community run forum...please make it semi-moderated. We all saw what happened to the last Vericoin forum being hijacked by certain individuals who only wanted to stir the pot with negativity, spreading fear or all out lies. At least put it to a vote...thanks

You mean a controlled and manipulated vote like the last time around? No one CAN hijack any thread, it's an impossibility. Never happened (in this coin or in others) but, obviously, you blatantly lie under the self-conviction that it can although it is very easy to check that it never, ever happened. To any coin.

Have fiun with the boot on your neck and dreaming it's yours on the neck of everyone else. The nazis also believed they were doing humanity as a whole a great service, you know....

Ladies and Gentlemen...I present to you the one and only Barabbas! Everyone knows...no need to pretend Barabbas

it is hilarious, because the idea that trolls could just easily make new accounts to manipulate the vote could never happen.

altcoinuk and barabbas are without doubt payed trolls.
Atleast regarding barabbas i'm sure of it, because he got doxed: he's a jobless/retired actor who spends 12-18 hours a day on on bitcointalk.org.

Seeing that he doesn't participate actively on any project you can only conclude that he's a payed troll/fudder/shill etc. pp.

( i just can't believe someone in his 50's with a job can spent 12-18 hours a day on a forum while earning money and no, barabbas is not a millionaire )

*edit

btw. dont get deluded by both of them, because between 100 post of them there are actually only like 5 with facts and real arguments.

5016  Other / Off-topic / Re: How does a black hole attract light? on: May 13, 2015, 08:30:51 PM
Photons have no mass but still a momentum.

Quote from: Don Koks, Philip Gibbs, Scott Chase, Matt Austern. "What Is the Mass of a Photon?." _The Physics and Relativity FAQ_. 2008. Web. 13 May 2015.
Alternative theories of the photon include a term that behaves like a mass, and this gives rise to the very advanced idea of a "massive photon".  If the rest mass of the photon were non-zero, the theory of quantum electrodynamics would be "in trouble" primarily through loss of gauge invariance, which would make it non-renormalisable; also, charge conservation would no longer be absolutely guaranteed, as it is if photons have zero rest mass.  But regardless of what any theory might predict, it is still necessary to check this prediction by doing an experiment.

yes, there isn't a definite answer there yet, but right now physics tends to a massless photon.

for example if a photon would have a mass, speed of light c would not be constant but dependent on its frequency.
a lot of other examples exist and a lot of physics would need a change if it would be proven that photons have a mass.
5017  Other / Off-topic / Re: How does a black hole attract light? on: May 13, 2015, 10:07:43 AM
A photon has energy, which is equivalent to mass in terms of how Einstein used it.

  It therefore interacts via gravity.

Oh so pretty much E=mc2  right?

No because they have no mass.
For photons:

E^2=(mc^2)^2 + (pc)^2 which equates to E^2= (pc)^2 = hv

Photons have no mass but still a momentum.
5018  Other / Off-topic / Re: How does a black hole attract light? on: May 12, 2015, 09:44:45 PM
through its immense gravitation the blackhole is bending the space-time, which is the exact same plain the photon is traveling on.
there is an indirect attraction if you want to say so i guess

No one argues that the PLATFORM  can be "useful". The question is does that usefulness add value to the coin or the project at large?

Yes. To use the platform you need to pay the transaction fees. Any and all successful use cases will add to buy demand for Nxt and add value if sustained over time.

The question then is even more basic: Since the platform is very successful and the increase in business (and scams) has been and continues being nothing short of exponential, the "transaction fees" must be mighty inappropriate (where do they go? --oh wait, don't answer that, it is my understanding that they go, 99.99% to the holders of the majority of NXT, right?), since, obviously, such success, as posted above, has only brought the decimation of the price of NXT to les than 1/4 of what was only weeks ago, right? Or am I missing something here?

TX fees go 100% to forging (ie actively participating in the network) accounts:
https://nxtblocks.info/#section/blockexplorer_charts
https://nxtblocks.info/#section/blockexplorer_distribution

Some of the stuff you are missing:
Decimation would actually mean that NXT was at 90% of its previous price....and could you tell me exactly how many weeks ago NXT was at 3.6 dollarcents ?
Is it 50 weeks or 52 ? We do have a name for these longer time periods, B. Still, good tactic.  Grin

First, obviously we have a very different interpretation of what "price decimation" is. For you it would mean at least going to 1000 sat, since NXT touched 10k sat not too long ago (a few months, very few). For me decimated price means anything beyond 1/2 lost. And it has gone not just there but 2/3 lost and even, as close as 24 hours ago, 3/4 lost.

this is utter bullshit, like 95% of what you say.
the last time NXT was 10 k was in JUNE 2014 and the all time low is 3,5 k sat for the past 1 year.

bitcoin lost ~80% since january 2014, early adopter have millions of coins, PoW is semi-centralized - is it a scam or is it going to die?
atleast get your facts right if you cherry pick them.

also you are probaly a payed shill: retired/jobless actor + 20 hours a day on bct - just perfect coincidence?

And, like in all you say, there's simply BS. I myself purchased coins at 2,6k 24 hours ago -and it went down to 2,5k-. But keep bulshitting and guessing, it is ridiculous but somewhat funn y... Remember: Last night, 24 hours ago, lowest price 2,5k. Cryptsy (for some nice wager I'll show you my own transaction at 2,6..., deal? Or just the usual bull crap?)

Edit to add: It is Bull crap as usual, right?

it wasnt visibile in the 1+ day charts where i was looking (1 to 1 1/2 year timespan back).
when i checked it was just a flash crash and the candles closed again at 3,4 k.

show me how much NXT you bought, from the 1 million volume in 6 hours from 3,7 k to 2,5 then back to 3,4 k.
this is really something very marginal besides the fact that we are at nearly 4 k again

*edit
cryptsy has <5% of nxt trading volume?  Roll Eyes
